You also carry people through content when they aren’t contributing as much as you. Nothing to do with women. If the wife had made this thread my post would have said “carrying your husband.”
Yes I did 1-400 artificing a few days ago under a booster and got 10 levels exactly. The crafting booster increases the chance of critical success which just gives you double the crafting xp.
I don’t know if I should be glad that I stopped playing this class, or disappointed because ANet has no kittening idea how to balance Mesmers for PvE.
Eventually they will just give up and toss us an OP skill like Panic and all will be well.
I reckon that I’ll be saving my gems during this event.
Definitely buying those minis though!
“Butter and chocolate no longer drop from loot bags of level 50 and above.
Butter and chocolate no longer drop from Supply Bags dropped by centaurs, Stolen Supplies dropped by ettins, Ritual Bags dropped by Flame Legion, or Materials Bags dropped by Inquest. "
It’s almost like anet would rather you buy gems with cash.
Shocking.
Elixir B is working 100% as intended. Nothing to see there, move along.
I thought your suppose to wait till tomorrow
The patch notes say the stuff is in.
Not remotely exciting enough to get me to use it.
Please tell us more about grenades and elixir gun being bad.
What do they mean by “slightly longer?”
How are you planning on trading such high value items?
Obviously if I’m alone I will use them on myself. Depending on the situation I might even use them on myself when others are around. Taking away the ability to throw them at all is a terrible idea though.
So either the theory Nurvus has presented is /not quite accurate/…. ooor… i am just a super awesome amazing player, apparently.
He’s just blowing the effects out of proportion. Like I said, in practice is doesn’t really matter.
Crafting boosters make the crafting leveling go faster, not your character leveling. You still get 10 levels from 1-400.
greatsword/sword+focus
If you can live without swiftness go sword+pistol
Zaishen and Shining Blade bounties.
Pretty sure pistols just straight up do more dmg. Rifle is much more about control. That said, jump shot hits like a truck.
@awesome: thats like.. your opinion, dude.
Obviously. I find my opinions really tie the room together though.
Absolutely terrible. If an engi is only using toss elixir for himself he is selfish and probably not very good.
I assume you have already sent an email to support and this thread is just for venting?
Crafting is a great xp boost. Artificing is 10 almost free levels.
Anet should make it so player titles are easier to see without selecting a player! Perhaps over/under the players name above the player avatar!
I liked them being visible on mouse hover in GW1. Was kind of disappointed when I realized you had to target people to see them here.
Yes obviously they get obliterated as soon as they are able to be. At least they are actually getting to the event though.
So every 5-10 levels spend 2 silver on new blue gear from the TP. You are really blowing the gear downscaling out of proportion. It seems like the idea of “becoming weaker as you level” is really bothering you when it doesn’t matter at all in practice.
You think so? Warriors always seem to put out way more damage than me but I haven’t run grenades in awhile.
You should really learn to quit when you’re behind.
If your standards are putting up warrior numbers then run (don’t walk) away from engi.
This might be the first time I’ve seen someone unironically say that guardians are weak (GS nerf forum blowup aside).
I will support this thread if you give me free dyes.
Enjoy your TP boycott, hope it goes well for you (it won’t).
Definitely try logging in to GW1 before going to support.
All UI elements should be moveable and scalable.
If a boss has targeted you, take it as a sign that you are pulling your own weight in the party
I’ll keep this in mind next time a boss beelines for me before I even shoot it.
I find that events like this where you have to guard tents for awhile to be difficult in general. Guarding a town or encampment it usually no problem, it’s just the stupid tents that are really easy for mobs to kill.
It’s not fun. Report it. Anet can just make the mobs invulnerable until they get to where they need to be.
You don’t even need speedy kits. An elixir build just needs to cycle B and throw B. Add in an H if throw B is unlucky. Stack up a minute+ of swiftness very easily.
We have multiple ways of maintaining perma-swift.
I feel like the system works better at lower levels. A port costs like half of an event reward rather than 1.5x more than one at higher levels.
just hover your mouse over the icon….
1 elixir and crit for swiftness isn’t much.
Do you even play an engi?
You are joking, right?
Make sure you aren’t filtering stuff out of your crafting list.
Someone specs for burning? Then they shouldn’t be surprised to have trouble against non-burning foes like Destroyers.
Should they be surprised when the burning does nothing to a wooden door or a roadblock made of logs?
and the suggestion is?
He should obviously be given a free precursor since he needs two and that’s just not fair.
Pretty sure they are already looking into this.
This is the real reason they gave us so much swiftness.
Example of the Ascalon Greatsword on a Norn and Asura…
why they have the grip in the belt?
This is now my #1 issue. Fix it Anet!!
Sorry you can’t carry your wife through the game at the speed you want I guess. The downleveling system will make sure you both can always at least play together, even if you don’t get to 80 as fast as you seem to want.
Except that in any area of the game you can find gear of your level. If you are level 80 and go back to a level 2 area you will find a mix of level 2 and level 80 gear.
You actually get lvl 76 gear doing starting zones at 80.
This whole thing is fairly moot though as a set of blue gear at any level is stupidly cheap on the TP and it’s really all you need to survive.
