No one is going to fail hearts because they have poor reflexes or twitchy fingers though. I’ve never seen the suggestion to hire a mes to portal someone to the top of a heart area.

Not that I think vistas should be removed from map completion, just that they probably are far and away the hardest part for some people.

I’m an old guy too and yes, the EB vistas are really really irritating. I finally managed the one you’re talking about with the little plank hops but it took me at least an hour.

Whew and I thought I was bad taking like 15 minutes and probably 20+ tries to do that one. It was the first plank that really got me. After I made that a couple times I finished with no trouble. It was definitely frustrating though and there’s no way I could have kept trying for an hour. Kudos on your fortitude.

I am not an old guy though, just bad at jumping (and getting like 10fps on my laptop doesn’t help).

They also drop off krait in wvw if you find yourself bored in there.

What’s dumb is not being able to kick someone just because they were the first one in the door.

You can try looking at achievement points. Also if you kick an active person by mistake they will probably get back to you wondering why. An inactive person obviously wouldn’t.

Yes, you can basically autoattack your way to success through the first 40 levels.

Loot gets priority over rez so you shouldn’t be rezzing people with F when you could be looting.

Take off some gear, reset your traits, don’t use some of your utilities.

This was actually my first thought too. It just seems like too big of an update to have not been planned/in development since before launch.

I got an onyx lodestone and core from supply bags (either from centaurs or skritt, not sure) in wvw last night. I only killed like 40 mobs total to complete events while I was running around.

I’m keeping my fingers crossed for a SoS rit revival.

Working as intended. Pay attention to your surroundings while you’re killing mobs in a pvp zone.

You might want to just pick whatever you can both get on for now and then work on getting to a better server later if you still feel the need. It could be that you end up not caring since you’re not going to be doing wvw or joining a guild.

I think tarnished coast is the “official” RP server if that’s what you’re looking for.

You can discover multiple version of the glorious burger. Not sure if any of them are sold as recipes on vendors though.

There are definitely low lvl recipes out there though. One that pops to mind is the apple pie recipe on the merchant in the orchard in queensdale.

Well you don’t have to WP around constantly if you don’t want to. Run from one end of metrica to the other killing every enemy type you see and I guarantee you will get 15 before you reach the other side.

They already have the infrastructure to create in-game surveys, we saw it during the beta events. It wouldn’t hurt anything to get the players’ opinions.

On the other hand though I would really like if the players could hold off on freaking out about changes that haven’t even happened yet.

I didn’t say the game was dying. I simply stated that it will be easier to find a server after the addition of vertical gear progression which was contrary to their manifesto that attracted a very large player base.

It’s based on how many people are logged in at that time. It’s up to you to find a quiet time and get your nephew in then.

Achievements are account based so yes you keep them.

The population is based on how many people are logged in at that time. If you can find an off-peak time when it’s not full you will be able to get in. The problem is that SoS has a strong oceanic presence so their population doesn’t dip as much as others at certain time periods. Your best bet is to keep trying at different times on different days or just convince your buddy to jump to another server with you.
