Almost any singletarget skill can be triggered without actual target. Your “stealth” would counter only few skills.

And you suggest to completely turn him into spam 111111111(2 or 3 or 4 or 5)111111 class. What did you think before posting this? Did you?

Hey all, since I’ve never tried D/P because I thought it is OP (for 1vs1 ofc) I’ve made this build to solo 5-10 man zerg in WvW.
It is a bunker build with heavy damage thanks to backstab.
I still have to try it, but I was looking for a strange build to play, I’ve never seen someone with this build so I can call myself the owner of this one (maybe)

I love how people always can find some blatant excuses. Like “oh no, it’s not our fault, its high transfer cost QQ.” Transfer to sfr is not free too and if somebody’s really interested in transferring in good www then he’ll find 1000 or 1800 crystals. And if you you need a break from strong opponents then qq and transfer to some medium populated server. We did fine in past few months, some of our commanders did very good job. I personally enjoyed(everything but lags lags) fighting viz/piken.

Deso and sfr are both international servers and nothing prevented deso from making strong and big www community like sfr has now. s/d only works 1v1 or group vs group. In situations like 1vs2 its absolutely inferior to stealth builds.

I see tons of complains about the thief, and i can say most of them are accurate, some others totally irrilevant and wrong.
Due to “next” patch entering stealth counters when stealth itself is extremely weak, i would like to give some advices ( maybe if other good thieves could help me it would be cool) to aNet in order to balance it.
Stealth
Altough stealth has no counterplay, it’s a very weak resource for the thief in sPvP.
You cannot cap points, and as a far point assaulter the other team just needs to leave there a good proff to proficiently fight the thief 1vs1 without losing too fast ( while points tickle for them).Giving how bad stealth thieves are, i would go straight to the source of all problems:
SHADOW REFUGE
Nerf it or totally remove it, don’t hamper the whole profession mechanic due to team stealth stacking and stealth ambushes ( which is the only real problem).
It is also frustrating for WvWers and in PvE it has no real use if not to jump content by avoiding mobs and stacking it with blinding powder ( for double ress).
Do it.
Just do it.
Next problem: S/D thieves
Don’t listen to people crying about Larcenous strike, it has never been a problem.
The problem is Infiltrator Strike and the ridicolous mobility it gives.
You can basically jump from a target to another in a second, disangage at will, and focus the nect one without losing too much damage ( give the high amount of sustain S/D thieves have).
A good change ( in primis) would be to make inf strike teleport to go only in orizontal axis , because it is actually ridicolous when a mesmer/ele/necro goes on a roof and you go through walls and still catch him.
Another good change would be to have shadow return available ( this is a very HARSH nerf) only if you hit your target/in range of the target to be hit ( or rather 600 range) instead of putting shadow returns everywhere in the map.
If you’re not in target range Inf strike will port you NOWHERE and you’ll stay in place
Currently this skill is brainless, just use it and port everywhere.
Let’s start to make this set skillful.
After that, buff the freaking thief and balance it decently ( like S/P or OH dagger being horrible, and condi builds LOLOLOLOL) because we’ve been gimmicky from the start and work only with gimmicks.
Just like rangers, but without the brainless AI.

Because it kittening sucks. Both XI and XII acrobatics traits sucks. But “Hard to catch” double sucks. It’s random and can teleport you to even worse position, it triggers on daze, it doesn’t break stun, it doesn’t give boons. And it triggers even if you are under kittenING STABILITY EFFECT. For kittens sake do something about it. You can rework it into automatic stunbreaker with 30 seconds of ICD. Just that would make it useful.

The mats will absolutely drop in WvW. In addition, generally speaking, we are putting a heavier emphasis on finding long-term solutions to redressing the reward imbalance between PvE and WvW. I can’t claim they will ever be 100% equal all the time, but we would like it to never be the case that you are choosing between playing WvW and getting good rewards. The two should be one in the same.
It’s been a year and yet you haven’t balanced anything. We still have only TWO www maps, we still have insane skill lag, we still have green drop from chests/blue-white from any other sources. I would fire you if i were your boss.

Stability should be broken on any kittening action taken while in stability, be it healing, attacking or stomping.
