Tickets are easy to farm. What really makes it difficult is a BAD camera and BAD latticed floor. I believe i’d do it much easier with normal camera angle.

I was crit for 34000 by a thief and I am in double Knight’s gear and have 3 weapons which are all P/V/T. Please explain this.

Its hard to believe you are using knight gear. 14k bses are only possible on light armored glass cannons. Or that thief had like 20 stacks of might.
Switch to dagger/pistol. Its better than d/d in terms pf backstabbing(10-15 stacks of might ftw) and it also has best survivability among thieves. d/d is not designed for long fights and you won’t be able to kill warrior/guardian/bunker engi from one skill rotation anyway.
I dont mind when thiefs cloack n finish, problem is in that state AOE knockback from downed guardian do not affect them, sometimes even dont work on other professions that dont have stability boon on, buit that is a another guardian skill problem.

Thieves are a trash class that was overspecialized into doing one thing in the most game breaking and simple manner possible: press 2 a lot and have near permanent access to invisibility…!#$%ing infantile…
The class is otherwise totally worthless in WvW. You run in a zerg with a glass cannon thief and what happens is you go down, you die, and then half the enemy zerg rally’s off your stupid little thief !#$, and they proceed to straight up curb stomp your allies.
The Thief represents a total failure in core class design by being neither challenging to play, nor encouraging of build versatility, nor presenting options to fill other roles in a party, and makes itself infamous for the only thing it can do well: being a no-skill-required pain in the #$% amounting to little more than a bunch of petty trolls.
The entire class needs a MAJOR overhaul, primarily in changing the whole no-skill-required stealth and spam-2-till-it-dies mechanics of the class.

D/D is still competly viable and just as good as d/p. The meta is d/d and d/p, condtions are useless in wvwvw really.

Rigel , tell that to the thief that 2 shot me through 100% LF DS (30 Soul Reaping so bigger LF pool) and then 1 shot to downed state from full 21k health (roughly lol) you tell me which one is OP and which one is UP in that situation (gear consists of Berserker / Soldier Mixed Gear , i dont expect to live too long but even then thats ridiculous by ALOT)

It’s been a year since release and people still suffering from HUGE amount of lag in WWW. It’s absolutely unplayable and ridiculous. And Arena employees ignore this fact.
I want a kittening sniper rifle, kittening slow but powerful and at least with 2000 range.
people complain about thieves being OP because they don’t know how to dodge. Dodge the heartseeker / cloak and dagger, or dodge out of the dagger storm, and suddenly you’re fighting a character that can’t do jack to you because they’re out of initiative.
Unfortunately it seems most people in PVP/WvW don’t know how to dodge.
While that sounds really easy, I was HS-d on my ranger when I used 2 dodges and a shorbow evade in succession. The guy was running a glass build, and I was below half health, so that was it for me. Sounds fair right? Just mash that 2 to win.

Sorry, but you are bad. Last time i died to a “2” masher was like 10 months ago. And i see HS spammers very, very rarely, because even bad thieves understood how bad this strategy is. I met one HSer in spvp last week, dodged 2 times, used shadow step and laughed at him while stomping.

Because arenanet is poor company. They can’t afford decent server hardware so WWW constantly lags, they can’t afford qualified programmers so server’s software is unoptimized.

Just wanted to hop in and mention, again, that the AoE cap on player skills is a technical limitation. Were we to increase that, skill lag would get considerably worse.
And how about optimization? Game is still unplayable when 2 zergs clash.
Of course they do. For example: autoattack of every legendaric has aoe of 100000 and deals 9999999 damage. Nuclear missile SFX included.
And since there are no addons you can’t do anything about it by yourself. In WHO i used chat filter and it helped really. But since arena doesn’t care an\bout in game situations…

Stealth doesn’t brake channelings. Someone or something(e.g. Eye of the Zaitan or mesmer’s phantasm) cast channeling spell, then i go stealth and keep getting hit by it. Some monsters(like undeads with hooking harpoon) in pve are able to track me even after 1-2 seconds in stealth and use CC spells on me. Kinda annoying.
