Server A goes to sleep. Server B wakes up and starts capping the map. Then server B goes to sleep.

Starting to see a pattern here? Your night is their day and their night is your day. This happens in a 24/7 persistent battleground. You just have to live with it. It is apart of the experience.
lol funny because there are tones of screen shots of HoD gliching under the ground to win in wvwvw and have been submitted and reported to anet. and i hope that guy stopping your team from making a comeback or form a solid defense is banned for his actions.

Only reason level 80 golds sell well is because people are salvaging them for ectos.
Lol. That guy in the above screen talking about firing from an exploit point is funny. If you can get there then it obiously is not an exploit.

It’s no more of an exploit than placing siege in the EB puzzle where you prevent people from reaching you. We have no official word from Anet on the matter of either how ever.
You do not glitch to get on that mountain. You have basic jumping puzzle skills as it has stepping stones that look like the place is meant to be what it is currently being used for.
Why else is there an easily accessed ledge that is perfectly placed in treb range of Mendon?

Thought I’d add a screen shot of the recruitment spam for a guild that is for another server. With the person spamming it firing our treb at our spawn point npcs.

Not only do we have ET swarming to defense of what ever we call out in chat a place for us to attack.
We have people like him jumping on our siege equipment and preventing us from using it effectively. Whilst accusing us of exploiting, I gave him the pro-tip that you could use retaliation as a defense and kill the treb. Not two minutes later, a bunch of ET stood where the treb was hitting mendon with retaliation boons on.
So it’s obvious that he is passing information to the enemy along with spamming RUIN recruitment in our map chat and telling us to server transfer to ET. Basically demoralizing people and putting people down.
Being crushed by overwhelming odds is one thing. Being sabotaged from within to look good is another.
I hope you enjoy the same treatment from HoD next week. Look forward to you posting a video of that.

Theres are alot of people on IOJ which would welcome working with SOS, and I imagine ET would appreciate a bit more of a fight, because currently I can’t see how it could be fun for them.
One of the guilds on your server that does not welcome it is the ALE guild.
You do realize not every one views these forums or understands English?
Even if you tell them in map chat whilst in WvW. Some either don’t understand English or are doing their own thing to spite the rest of the server.
Then there is also free transfer spies that work against the server so that they have the weaker servers fighting each other.
It is literally impossible to get every one to cooperate.
Bug? Some times the orb doesn’t update correctly at times?
It’s a bug, the second lightning skill seems to have unlimited range. There’s no hack or exploit involved.
Exploiting a game bug is the definition of exploiting. People have received perma bans for less. I recall the vendor that sold stuff for less than it should incident.
Might be an exploit, but I’d guess at a hack. Just spitballing, but it could be a hack that teleports the user to his targets location and then teleports him back. The running back and forth is the server coping with the teleport.
I’m pretty sure I dealt with something similar tonight. We had a thief that would cloak and dagger our siege equipment, then vanish into thin air. Yes, I know it stealths the thief(I have a thief) but with 10+ people AOEing all around with zero hits it was incredibly fishy. He was only ever visible for a split second and was in stealth way longer than 3 seconds. My thoughts are that he used this same hack from the tower wall to target our stuff and the stealth covered his teleport away.
I’ve been noticing this too. I’m seeing thieves stealth longer than normal in WvW and they’re not using shadow refuge or near cliffs. I saw a thief from Eredon Terrace basically slaughter people because the only time he was unstealthed was when he was attacking. Constantly back stabbing them before disappearing again instantly which would not happen with the revealed debuff.

After a seeing a few threads about speed hacking and video evidence. I know what to look for now rather than think it was just me or them having latency issues. They are clearly moving faster than normal.
On my trip to broaderland puzzles today, I saw some one from Eredon Terrace warping across the screen (speed hack) and one from Sea of Sorrows doing the same in another area. These hackers aren’t just localized to one server.
Seems this and these exploits are on the increase in WvW and I feel pointless to write a ticket as I don’t know their names…
That’s actually one map and comparable to keeps, towers, camps and other objectives.
The problem with that is population caps. The current system encourages you to play all 4 maps. Spreading the population load over them.
You’re suggestion to limit people to 1 or 2 maps. I’m sure that will go over well with people already having high queue times.

Yes, they were firing seige and yes, they were LOS. I pulled two guys from the “puzzle jump griefing guild” of eredon terrace yesterday into the pit with a mesmer focus skill. I targeted them when they peeked, then pulled them when they were not visible to me. One came down and we beat his …, then I pulled the other when my cool down cleared.
I’m not advocating what they were doing, I’m only offering a solution that was lucky enough to work in our case. You can either use it, or keep trying to complain in this thread and hope the devs change the rules of that map. your choice.
Perhaps it was poor placement of their siege on their part. But in any case. I do not have a mesmer nor a pocket mesmer. So that rules that null and void.
To be honest. At this point in time, I personally don’t have as much as an issue getting through the puzzle myself due to ways I will not mention to give me away. How ever, I’m arguing for the ones that can’t because they also play classes that have no counter to this.
It’s all good and well you can fluke it to by pass the campers. But that only works so often. I’m looking ahead for when this becomes a bigger problem.
When this catches on and the puzzle becomes even more popular. The most popular server that covers most time zones wins.
Today it may be 1-4 siege weapons camping it for 1-4 hours at a time. Eventually I’m expecting to find 20 siege waiting with it being camped 24/7. If you’re not on the winning server. You’re in for a very bad day my friend.
I personally can’t wait for this week’s WvW to be over so the server exploiting this will go and face higher tier servers that will do the same to them. It’s kind of a bitter sweet victory.
Azure, if you had read my post earlier, you would have seen a skill that works. Mesmer focus number 4 pulls enemies off keep walls and I personally used it to pull two guys into the pit from up top of this exact area yesterday. It is doable, but you need the right class and weapon set. We would have been screwed without it, but a lot of pvp is that way…
Were those two people hiding LOS with siege weapons firing at you? You must of missed my reply explaining how it won’t reach.

Just remove the jumping puzzles altogether.
While we’re at it, take out the vistas. Neither of these things has anything to do with pvp.
But it has to do with WvW.
I think the fact is they’re attacking the gate and now going through the open wall.
Beaten to it. But yeah. I’m wondering if the gate was full health when the wall went down or not.
I get this very often. Not sure what causes it. But some times restarting the game client fixes it.
I think I found the one and only solution to this problem.
We should all server transfer to high population servers like Eredon Terrace. That way every one is friendly in the puzzle and those camping with siege weapons will die of boredom! Higher WvWvW queues, etc. Every body wins!
But honestly. All the points covered in this topic have pointed out that it is unrealistic for any one to get pass camping the beast arena with enemy siege weapons attacking you. At least the traps mechanics gave you a sporting chance.

There are two ways people are using to stop from being auto logged out. The people that are simply running into a wall or have a object stuck in their keyboard to keep turning them are easy to detect.
This doesn’t work. You still get logged out for inactivity.
Don’t really care about the present. I care about when this becomes an even bigger problem in the future.
People complaining about something that is as easy as 1 boon to beat. Here is a hint guys… RETALIATION.
For those of you that are challenged:
1. Get a guardian or someone else that can reliably buff retaliation.
2. Have them cast it.
3. Stand in arrow cart fire.
4. ??
5. Profit!Instead of coming here and crying about how you are getting griefed, think of ways to beat it.
I did a jump puzzle on my servers homeland (2 keys one) and there were 2 players from a server camping it so you couldn’t make the jumps, much like you are saying. Instead of quit, I equipped sword (im a warrior) and savage leaped across while they were firing on someone else. They never saw me coming from behind them as I rifle butted and “fear me”d them off the edge. Nothing felt more satisfying, and if you would have thought about your situation instead of come here to complain you could have had that same feeling.
Also, whenever you beat griefers, remember that /sit spam!

Please tell us how you would get by the campers if you were in the thread creators position, in as much detail as you can.
bring an elementalist or two
have them get swiftness when they switch to air (arcana trait)
have them make the jumps (doable in combat with swiftness. I would know)
when they get to the last jump along the path use ride the lightning to speed it up.Either kill the enemy campers, or distract them for as long as possible so your team can climb up

necromancers and mesmer using pull skillsIt’s pretty stupid to fight against. especially if you dont ever have teammates in the jump puzzle like my server. But it is theoretically doable.
Necromancers and mesmers can’t pull what they can’t reach – players hiding LOS with siege weapons.
Bring an elementalist? Cast swiftness? Get a team together up there? Cool! Despite likely dying before reaching the top and multi-arrow cart cripple negating the swiftness. Let’s say the enemies camping have the same level of organization since we’re dealing in “theory”. Triple catapult. GG.

I consider that contested.
Think the problem people are trying to hammer across is they have no problem dying in PVP in a PVP zone.
They have a problem with being kept in combat, making the jumps impossible to make the distance. With no way to counter other than flukes.
I want to get to a vista that’s located in an enemy keep, but I can’t because they keep killing me every time I try to beat down the doors and get inside. Griefers!
It’s a WvW zone for a reason, and you can’t “grief” someone who is an enemy in WvW outside of plain cheating. You’re an enemy, their goal is to kill you, it doesn’t matter where, it doesn’t matter if you’re afk, unarmed, not wearing any armor, you’re putting yourself in a position where you can be killed, and then getting upset when it happens.
If you don’t want to participate in getting slaughtered, go elsewhere until they get sick of it and leave. Going back and feeding them just prolongs the whole thing.
I’m surprised that people actually think it’s reasonable to apply completely arbitrary restrictions on where and when people can kill you in WvW without being considered “Griefing” (e.g. only when you’re doing the puzzle yourself).
I guess this rules out cutting off reinforcements to a keep, or trying to pen enemies in their starting keep, or killing supply just because it’s there. Should we only be permitted to move directly from objective to objective, disregarding strategy, diversionary tactics, or anything else for fear of “griefing” someone in an area where player vs player is to be expected?
Yeah it sucks what happened, but unless they’re actually cheating, complaining about it with the intent that “this needs changing” is just going to make you sound ridiculous.
Keep walls can be knocked down. The only tactic for siege camping in EB puzzle is to come back another time and hope you didn’t waste another 20 minutes to get back to the beast arena to find out they’re still camping it.
If by some miracle you do actually kill the people on the siege. I’m sure Eredon Terrace will declare hax.
When Eredon Terrace place siege in places the enemy can’t get to, it’s L2P and PVP happens. When others do this. It’s automatically HACKERS!
I rez down players all the time. But if you are defeated with cannons and arrow carts showering down on you whilst you scream REZ ME. You have another thing coming. Especially when you’re in front of the spawn point. That’s just lazy.
Seems a lot of tough people are all “don’t PVE in a PVP zone.” Got no problems with PVP. I deal with players easily in puzzles all the time. Being cheap and using siege that cannot be reached even if you manage to build your own siege (fat chance) is griefing.
I don’t care if I die to being out numbered even or they use the traps. But unable to progress at all due to the impossible nature to make jumps in combat to reach an unreachable siege engine is silly. Siege engines isn’t PVP skill. It’s point and click.
I find it funny many of the Eredon Terrace people defending their griefing actions because they can’t PVP properly. Since after playing against many servers, no other server has taken the jerk level as much as Eredon has. I visit the puzzles daily. Expecting some one there to fight usually. How ever, I find every puzzle in borderlands with Eredon Terrace camping at EVERY entrance waiting for you. Then there is this whole siege camping in the beast arena thing in EB that is always Eredon Terrace. It gets old.
I find it amusing they claim to have pvp skills when they are instead fighting and camping lower tier/lower population servers instead of facing HoD.

Hard not to assume when I’ve seen it first hand. Many. Many. MANY times. It is always Eredon Terrace.
Also the difference between an elementalist using meteor and people using siege equipment is. Eles have to get in line of sight to place down meteor. That gives me a chance to yank them down for a good fight. A counter.
Siege weapons? No chance when they can bombard you safely from behind line of sight.
You get siege equipment in WvW.
It is a PvP area. (You even PvP’d in it.)You get a way to go in stealth, as a suggestion, use it.(It’s this pretty thing, which makes it so others don’t see you, fairly early in the WvW EB jump puzzle. Not sure about the others.)
Stealth works up until the dark room where you need a torch that cancels the effect. I’m pretty sure the 3 minute duration wouldn’t last through the dark room any way.
The beast arena after the dark room is a death trap. Once in combat. You cannot escape. The jumps cannot be jumped. Arrow carts can freely rain down arrows with no chance to counter. There is PVP and there is griefing. This is griefing.
If you reach the beast arena and find siege weapons set up. You may as well not bother. Because if you step into the arena, you will either be killed or stuck there with no other option than to log out.
@ OP: I’m guessing the people doing it was Eredon Terrace?
Engineers are fine. We don’t want you to become as survivable Guardians and bursty as Mesmers.
You have to touch siege weapons once every 30 minutes or they disappear.
I wonder if this was done to counter the siege forest that happened in one of the BWEs.

I used to run short-bow and PP for PVE and WvW.
How ever, every time I used PP in PVE, I would get shredded by mobs.
Whilst in WvW, although the unload damage was good for taking a chunk of health, it was quite useless after that. With no slow and shortbow’s cripple bouncing you away from your target. I usually ended up losing easy kills due to this.
I promptly switched to shortbow and PD. I haven’t looked back. I’m still firing a gun. The pistol’s stealth attack with PD is as good as unload. Plus it has a cripple with dagger throw. It is good enough for me!
I like that the OP’s name is “Aaarrrggg” whilst posting this.
I find the scream hilarious. Though I haven’t played my Charr much yet.
B Venom is the only elite you can use underwater however.
I can confirm you can queue for multiple maps. Just not from outside a WvWvW map.
Posting server rankings while transfers were still open was the worse thing a-net could have done.

I was tempted to transfer to a “better” server like many others had. But then I remember their multi-hour queues to get into WvWvW and just smile.
Besides. It is much more fun playing as the under dog and being deep in enemy territory as a solo thief or as a hit and run group instead of a mindless zerg.
Yep, Blackgate is fighting against 2 servers that are teaming up. The map says it all. Half and Half for the 2 servers going up against us in a ganking motion.
Kind of how BG and ET did to SoS ay?
Thats kinda the reason why its a 1v1v1. So two lesser server can team up againts a dominant server.

I dislike ET with a passion. They’re always jerks in the jumping puzzles. No other server camps EVERY SINGLE borderlands puzzle entrance as well as camping the EB puzzle 24/7 with siege equipment for fun. That is if they haven’t already taken our keep.

Also if a Thief is stupid enough to use Shadow Refuge (the big house icon stealth) in PvP… as a tip to all those people who don’t know about that, it lasts 10 seconds, but if he leaves the field he is immediately unstealthed and has a debuff preventing him from restealthing for a couple more seconds… even worse, if he doesn’t leave the field, he is still there and capable of taking damage, so just keep spamming attacks / aoe into the area and you will get the kill.
I was surprised the first time I used this. I had a bunch of enemies following me like blood hounds until refuge was the only skill I had left at my disposal. Placed it down at near death and stood in it. They all continued on my last known direction thinking I’ve run off in stealth again. It’s amazing how many people don’t know about it.
I always smile when I spam cluster bombs into refuge. Knowing I’m going to find find a downed thief soon after.
For PVE and WvW.
Most situations. Thieves guild hands down.
The hounds? They have really bad draw backs and was honestly disappointed with them. Thieves guild you can cast to summon them is on the move. Hounds you are rooted in place as you cast. That can make you a sitting duck for 2-3 seconds.
The only time I’ve found dagger storm useful is for large packs of mobs you want to dance with or used defensively when defending a fort in WvW. Such as popping haste, refuge and spin to win outside your fort’s gate that’s being assaulted by the enemy for some easy kills. Then popping back into the door to safety. Repeat once off cooldown.
I love this ability. I have made many kills from it. Even though enemies most of the time either dodge it, line of sight it or it triggers yet a negligible bump in the terrain only moves them 2 inches towards you or simply knocks them down on the spot.
Also another thing.
You —- clone/minion —- target player
If using a ranged weapon, the clone will act as a human shield for your targeted player if they’re standing in the way. Which also selects the clone/minion.
I know it’s very frustrating using scorpian wire to rope in a running necro back to me, only to nab his/her minion instead because it was in the way, even though I had the necro targeted.
I have no problems with not being able to shoot around clones/minions. But losing the target lock completely adds to the frustration.

I’ve had this happen to me. Targeting deselects your current target and acquires the target closest to you because it is the closest target to you when you hit a skill. It’s very annoying.
You don’t have to be stealthed or use line of sight. If a player or mob is not at the centre of your screen and not the closest target. Auto-targeting reselects to the closest target.

They’re using some sort of online scan as well. I received one the second I logged in online.
Working as intended. You can have multiple leaders of a guild and neither of you can demote each other.
