G600 user here. Love it to death. GShift makes life so much easier.
As much as I disagree with this assessment (The reason it’s going down the crapper is a lack of a QA team and devs who don’t play their game), I am gonna have to call you out on this:
. There are so many skills they could bring over for us. What happened to all the skills hero’s use to know? I guessing we all got amnesia and lost the skills we knew? What happened to all the games original professions? I am guessing they where lose also in the sands of time.
GW2 is set a good 250 years after the original game. Things change.
Kinda true, but we do have something to look forward to: figuring out what Dessa’s deal is.
Anyone with half a brain has worked out her deal. :P
I’d like a reply, even if it’s a No.
The simple answer is just don’t do it. Find someone to open a easier one and skip it.
We had the exact same combination like the OP. Boy that was…. “fun”. Thank whatever god is listening for fire elemental powder.
But honestly, I happen to dislike 36 + volcanic much much more.
See, Volcanic is one of those fractals that need strategy but isn’t obnoxious like the dredge. You just need to spam your projectile reflects, have anti elemental potions, have fire elemental powder and wait between phases to have Tome of Courage ready.
For example, my ranger has 100 condition damage. This means his bleeds do:
(0.05*100) + 42.5
5 + 42.5
47.5
47
Each stack of bleeding causes 47 damage per tick.
———————————————————————————————————————
My necro on the other hand has 1519 condition damage and gets another 250 with full stacks of corruption. This means his bleeds do:
(0.05*1769) + 42.5
88.45 + 42.5
130.95
130
Each stack of bleeding causes 130 damage per tick.
———————————————————————————————————————
Each stack of might adds 35 to your condition damage stat ( at level 80), so lets assume I have an Elementalist in the party and he’s throwing out 25 Might stacks like bacon at BBQ:
(((0.05*(1769+(35*25))) + 42.5
((0.05*(1769+875)) + 42.5
(0.05*2644) + 42.5
132.2 + 42.5
174.7
174
Each stack of bleeding causes 174 damage per tick.

You had to have beaten it before they patched out the ability for Mango Pies and Regen Boosters to make the fight winnable.
If I transmute a skin onto a white level weapon so it’s no longer soulbound, then use a transmute splitter, does it become soulbound? The splitter says “remains” soulbound.
Uninterpretable Thing? Do you not know basic mathematics?
(0.05 * Condition Damage) + (0.5 * Level) + 2.5 per stack per second
(0.05 * Condition Damage) + 42.5 per stack per second at level 80
Just plug in your Condition Damage and there you have it.
I think the last patch broke changed it so daily rewards are given for 11-20, 21-30, 31-40
IDK.. from all the Dev livestreams I’ve seen, every time they have a tough fight they just type in Developer codes and skate through….
That’s why i suggested a livestream.
SHHHHHHHHHHHHH! DONT TELL THEM!
The LFG Tool should have seperate bands for 20-29 and 30-39, while the 40+ band should be renamed 40-49 and a Level 50 band added.
I’d rather see them do grawl on 43
But a definite yes to seeing developers/QA-people tackling their own challenges!
49 is actually the easiest from the 41 to 49 fractal instabilities in my opinion.
So I wouldnt be too interested in that one.
Well, we want them to be able to finish it. :P
I throw down this challenge to you Anet devs. I want you to live stream 5 of you in a balanced party attempt to do the Dredge Fractal at level 41 the legit way.
Full stream, not a recording that can be manipulated. Perhaps after 3 or 4 hours then they will see what utter bullkitten this fractal is.
(edited by BaconCatTheGreasy.9542)
Do a higher level. :P
In short, No. This isn’t a CoD game or WoW. Stop asking them to pander to the lowest common denominator.
Instead of restricting player usability, how about we just change the tier 1 fractals to be a bit more balanced so that people don’t care which one they get?
So basically pander to the entitled millennials?
Title says it all really. Give us an item that returns a soulbound item to its original state.
Being able to choose the first fractal (insert swamp) is the only thing besides daily chest that makes people repeating daily high level fractals. The newly added veteran wolves make it a bit harder than before, but as long as it includes one single fight people are always going to prefer it. The OP has obviously never done too many high level dailies or wouldn’t be suggesting locking the first fractal. If you are so keen on playing a randon first one, get a party of friends and convince them to do so. Don’t punish other players just because you have a problem with something that makes everyone’s lifes easier. You are welcome to do Herpies, Dredge and Cliffside and enjoy 2+ hour runs with PUGs.
Sorry to disappoint you but I regularly did 40+ and my personal level was at 50 before the reset. I know what I am talking about.
You can just make your own LFG with something like “LFXM – Level X – NOT ROLLING SWAMPLAND” and then play the game. If you liked your pug add them to your friendlist and keep playing with them.
Problem solved.
Or how about Anet fixes something that is clearly being exploited?
It is not an exploit. Do not call everything you dont like is exploit.
I didn’t say it was an exploit. I said it was being exploited. It’s clearly not intended and should be removed. FOTM is billed as 4 random instances, not Swamp+3 Random Instances.

FOTM is supposed to be a group of 4 random instances, not Swamp+3 Random Instances.
With the change to fractals to always put an easier one at the start, every party I have been in is still rolling for the swamp fractal because it’s easier.
This needs to stop. A party should be locked into their first fractal when they start it so that going to the mistlock hub and back won’t change the first fractal. It should also have some sort of punishment for players who disband their party to try and work around this.
Cynz it is only easily reachable if you already had it prior to the patch.
Infused rings or backpacks no longer have a +5 AR – they now need to be crafted with reaganets usingThis has now dramatically increased the cost (compared to previously) and makes a casual player find it even more difficult to obtain 55 AR. Currently it increases the cost by 15gold for each character (based on TP for the +5 agony infusions @ 5g each) – previously this was 0g when infusing a ring via the mystic forge or when an infused ring dropped from FoTM.
The reason why people are getting +10 infusions is to ensure they get 0% tick dmg at higher levels due to the new side-effects and some harder end bosses.
Given that FoTM will now also officially go beyond lvl 50 – a few (small group) of players are preparing themselves in case the cost of these goes “up” again.
No because you use a +5 Simple infusion and a +5 AR one. Know what you are talking about before talking.
This is not a console game. To expect to be able to use a controller is ridiculous. You wouldn’t pilot a Boeing 747 with the same instruments as a small turboprop.
When you have top population servers like Jade Quarry have utterly empty Orr maps, so much so it’s almost impossible to get the temple events done for dragonite, you have a problem.
Get rid of the champion farms. They are too much reward for no risk or effort.
So, people like me who got to level 50 legitimately are gonna have all that progress wiped? Why not reset to 50? By their logic (giving everyone a equal playing field) they should reset to 0.
There is no meta. What happens is people play, then whine about X Build instead of adapting to it. Anet Nerfs X Build, so players move to Y build, and the cycle repeats.
Just like they removed the boost effect from liquid karma and upped it by 50% instead, they should just remove glory boosters and up the reward.
All maps favour certain classes and builds over another. Get over it.
So, I guess there isn’t? There should be.
So, I am looking for a way to filter servers so I only see standard setup servers that I can actually join. I have the first half done, but I keep seeing masses of 16/20 servers that are useless to join. Isn’t there a way to filter these out?
Just make the pre-events take a minimum amount of time for the short ones. Boom, the “problem” of people “not being able to make it” to the prevents is sorted.
They will just change the URL
I am sick and tired of having to go though world boss and temple pre-events with 2 or 3 people, only to have a massive amount of people come only for the last 20% of the final boss or abuse the guest system to get to contested temples. The game should track who does and doesn’t do the prevents to get to the final event and reduce the loot accordingly.
I understand why people do it (they are lazy) but there is also the issue of some prevents taking too short a time (Frozen Maw for example), which should be lengthened a bit to allow people time to get there, or for it to not count the first pre event in the chain.
Lyssa is an especially good example of this phenomenon as well as The Shatterer event.
If they were going to make it one guaranteed scrap per chest then why should they bother with the scraps being in chests at all? Why not one weapon skin for $15 USD and you buy it directly? The reason why, imo, is that they believe that people like the system as it is now. And since people are buying these keys in sufficient numbers to make ANet happy, then they are right and have no reason to change.
If people weren’t buying the keys, they would have dropped it a long time ago.
That’s not really a good argument. People HAVE to buy the keys to get the skins because there is no other way.
If they do this I hope they bloody well make it retroactive. :<
Never gonna happen as it would cost Anet money to do so. Gems are created out of thin air.

Or just use Stylish to make your own.
Path 3 no longer allows you to skip the bridge and also spawns crabs under the 2nd bridge so you can’t skip there either. I’m not fussed about the changes but would like to know why they were not put in the patch notes.
Upgraded to Win 8.1 from Win 8 yesterday...

This is an issue with Windows 8.1, not GW2. It’s affecting pretty much all games and the Tinfoil Brigade suspect it’s a deliberate ploy on Micro$ofts part to try and make the XBone One (Because you’ll take one look at it and walk away rofl kik) look good for gaming in comparison.
So you’re saying it’s acceptable for one Warrior to REQUIRE a team of 5 to take them down? As it stands I only play the PVP in this game for the 4 Achievement Points a day as it is otherwise insufferable.
At the moment warriors can just equip their passive regen signet and be unable to be killed. When a warrior is 4v1 and not dropping below 50% health and able to kill the other 4 players, it simply makes PVP unfun. Just had two games where it was impossible to kill any of the opposing team because it was all passive regen warriors.
All excellent ideas, which is why none of them will ever be implemented.
why? do you distrust ArenaNets competency?
That is putting it favorably to be honest and that’s all I say before the censorship moderation team swoop in.

While the circle above the health is kind of not needed, the rest are excelent ideas, especially the health bar for summons and the standardized boon/condition locations.

I agree. As it stands, it’s too random.
Allow us to enable a minipet to automatically activate whenever we change zone.
