Frankly, it’s not a shambles. It’s fair game for all sides. Glide on them, they glide on us.. glide away, and so on.

The only people so far that I see complaining about gliding at all are IN these forums. Absolutely everybody else that I know in WvW, (on both servers I’m on), enjoy the new skill a lot and if/when it goes to vote I’m confident that it will get a huge majority of the vote.

Magolith… that’s only true about the falling IF you are in their territory. In your own zone you can still knock the enemy off and watch them plummet and splat on the ground below

So you’re saying it’s working as intended?

No I’m saying imagine if you have redo the heart quests on a map in order to fly near it, and then you have to redo ALL the heart quests in order to fly anywhere on the map.
But then imagine this being on an hour timer (WvW towers and camps can flip within 5-10 minutes minimum) and you having to redo all those all over again in order to glide.

You wouldnt accept that on a PvE map, so why a WvW map?

Capturing a tower to be able to access it via gliding has absolutely zero to do with redoing hearts in PvE. zero…

Get rid of territories, it’s annoying having to capture an area in order to glide in it.

And in instances where one owns red keep on EB and someone else owns Orgres, an invisible wall appears, like all those you added to PvE maps, to prevent people from red keep flying in.
And if you own both, the wall is disabled and you can fly in.

And dont say you cant code it, or it’s too complex, cos it isnt for a real dev!

lol, not sure what all this guard hype is about really. Staff? what’s that? It changed? oh ya… but I don’t use it. Not sure about other folks but my guard/dh is alive and well and kicking butt.

ha, even cooler to see Maguuma capture Pangloss camp then go on the hill next to the camp and glide into Ogrewatch (which they don’t own), and capture it without having to set up a single piece of siege. Just glide into the tower from the hill beside it and before the ‘out of bounds’ can bring them out of the sky they are inside the tower. Gotta love it!

McKenna Berdrow, in your last AMA on reddit, you or Mike O’Brien said WvW and sPvP is player driven mode and it belongs to the players, and you will make the changes you want.
When did we say we want gliding in WvW??
We never wanted airships bombarding SM, that was an idea of PvE player, yet you added it.
This is why the game mode is dying.

Is there some requirement to become a WvWer? Everyone’s opinion matter, and people did request those features and they were implemented.

Sure things arn’t going that well due to a mismatch somewhere, and players are good at pointing out whats wrong, but at the same time not the best at suggesting how to fix things. Gliding is certainly not the reason why anything is dying though.

Gliding will be one of the reasons. The game mode is dying because the dev “team” has no idea of WvW, implements their own vision and takes the terrible suggestion of people who step in WvW once a week at best.
It’s almost like look for most easy “changes” to justify their salaries. Why don’t they fix the walls of keeps and towers so people can actually use the kitten cannons , oils and mortars? Nah, that requires real work.

Totally disagree that gliding will have anything to do with any drop in WvW activity. If anything it will bring even more PvE’ers into WvW to glide around and bog down the borderlands… and hopefully bring me more bags… but they won’t stay unless of course they learn to survive.

People seem to want things to be easy in WvW and I’ll never understand that. Of course it’s nasty hard to deal with blobs. But as I’ve seen time and again…. blobs can be fought off with a good team of defenders… at least for hours! and so on…

It’s all on your perspective. YOU hate gliding… and now it’s one more thing to blame for the downfall of WvW in your eyes. But WvW won’t die… not gonna die regardless of what the negative comments say. WvW that used to be is gone and gone forever.

As I love to say.. it is what it is. We either work with what we have or just leave… and as the queues continue to suggest, at least in the two servers that I am on, WvW isn’t dying just yet.

There was no vote, ( at least not yet ), because they said the gliding is a ‘test’. It’s not necessarily permanent… but if there is a vote I’m pretty sure it will be a slam dunk to keep it!

oh wow… I find them so useful. At a glance you can not only see your gliding area, but you can also see just how much you and your enemies own. Sure you could see that before but now, to me anyway, it’s a lot more clear… and the gliding borders are handy.

I’m sorry Safir but this isn’t about ‘pay to win’ for me in any way. I love this game.. I love almost every part of it. Why on earth would I not want to pay for the extra goodies? I don’t understand that at all. As for pay to win… this game isn’t pay to win.. unless you count buying gear, mats, and so on, like you have to do in pretty much any competitive game etc.

I will NEVER mind paying for my entertainment. I am a programmer… and I know what it takes to do these things. Sorry but I’ll never never understand people that get upset about anything they get for free when it costs huge amounts of money and time to develop these things.

It IS a business after all.. they want m o n e y! I want e n t e r t a i n m e n t.. so I pay. not to win… but to have fun.. . period.

oh and lastly.. “current generation of gamers”… I am 60 yrs old… not quite current.. but still having fun!

The adage that you “get what you pay for” is a very true one. If you want the perks that people spend a LOT of money creating for people to enjoy then expect to at least pay for some of them.

I7 is already a pretty “old” processor and a lot better than the lower ones. That would give you the best for your money imo.

I run an ASUS ROG I7 laptop and don’t experience this lag that seems to haunt many people. .

WvW and PvP Ascended Armor Upgrades

PvP rewards you for losing, simple as that. You can lose each and every game and still get the legendary armor, it’ll just take longer. Same for WvW, which is THE game-mode with the lowest skill-ceiling of them all: Hide within the zerg and auto-attack, that’s about it. And yet again, you get rewarded for losing. Personally, I couldn’t care less if the game mode has been neglected in the past or if it takes XY time spent to get the legendary armor there, neither of this is any justification for shoving these players endgame rewards up theirs for literally zero effort other than “being there”.

Don’t make me laugh.
While I can agree with you that the avg. wvw player skill is pretty low, it still takes as much as skill as 90% of all other pve activities. Same concept for both activities really. Run around and kill stuff. And it’s really saddening that Anet encourages this sort behaviour for wvw too……. but w.e.

Anyway, there are plenty of wvw players who far more skilled than others and to be honest, the skill-ceiling for wvw is far far far higher than it will ever be in pve, raids or w.e pve activity.

One thing is fighting vs an AI, like you do in raids. All you need to do is learn the skills of the boss and you’re set. Easy.
A whole different thing is to fight vs other(good) players who will actually counter your stuff and can actively change strategy during fights.

Don’t talk down on wvw players until you actually try to see what skill in wvw means.

Well, I’ve played WvW back when there were still tournaments, maybe you’ve heard of them. I actively play sPvP. I actively play raids. As such, I consider myself qualified enough to comment.

Just to be clear about this, I’m not suggesting that there cannot be good players in WvW (or anywhere else for that matter), I’m saying that with the current reward tracks and all, it’s not required. You are literally rewarded for failure. Let’s not mention the ridiculous “outnumbered” on top of that.

PvE/raids requires nothing short of success. With the weekly lockouts per boss, you cannot simply grind it. You don’t get rewarded simply for “being there”. You don’t get rewarded based on “time spent”.

Does the WvW community really aim to be playing that one game mode where you get everything (including legendaries) shoved up your backside for simple time-investment? This is now literally going to be that one game mode where everyone can come leech for free. In the end, it’s the “skilled players” and their efforts you were talking about who get devalued together with the legendary items. Enjoy!

I almost hate to say this but to say that we will get more players who are not “skilled” in WvW is a statement that’s too late. We already have that. This won’t change any of that frankly.

I can’t remember a time when a few of us people with xp could go into a group and wipe them as easily as we can do a lot of the time now. It used to be that you would find other groups that mostly knew what they were doing, and were built for the event.

We will wipe a group a couple of times and you know they give a shoutout because then in comes the blob to take care of us rogues. WvW has become mostly a blob fest and a very good amount of those people are not built for it. Yesterday I was amazed at the number of people that came at our smaller group and kept dying… I had to attribute that to a seriously poor pve set of pugs… because frankly.. as experienced as I am in WvW.. I am not young, not fast, and don’t do well in 1v1 because of it… but give me a havoc group that knows what they’re doing and they need blobs to kill us.

Give me this new armor stuff and I’m even happier… now I won’t have to have 3 sets of armor… or 3 different toons for one class just to change up my play when I want to. .. and so on and so on.

“We” can complain… play, move on… I’ve given up on complaining.. I love gw2… love wvw… and these days welcome ALL the changes because leaving things as they were is just.. zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

What does this mean for people you knock off cliffs with your own skills? Do they still fall to their deaths?

When cced, you can’t enter the glider in PvE maps, not sure exactly how it’ll act in WvW.

It will function the same in WvW. So if you are knocked back while in gliding you will fall to your death.

As a vet WvW player, believe it or not, I welcome this addition. It sounds to me to be well thought out with the appropriate limitations etc. The idea of using a balli to knock someone from the sky, or just gliding in general with the restrictions you have placed on it sounds great.

A LOT of people are going to scream of course, and want to continue with the same old blob vs blob etc. I’m havoc mostly… and while people are screaming about wanting to keep their horseless carriages.. I’m thinking of ways to ignite the gas.. and of how many ways I can be shot from the sky..

WHAT WILL HAPPEN IF YOU ARE IN COMBAT? Disable in combat gliding. Otherwise it means anyone can run away from a fight by just gliding away and literally makes HoT Pay-to-win. Seriously. It NEEDS to be disabled to deploy gliding while in combat. Seriously. This is why gliding in WvW has always been the stupidest idea.

This is such a silly statement. If your enemies decide to run away by gliding, YOU JUST GLIDE AFTER THEM !

At some point they have to land since it’s not true flight.

Your statement is even more silly because you can only glide if you own the territory ;^)

“If you enter a territory that you do not own while gliding, you will be kicked from your glider.”

AND lets not forget that being able to ‘MOVE’ a fight a large distance (via gliding in this case) means they can pretty much grab help from anyone remotely near them and/or lead you into a tower killzone.

If you could move a fight 3000-5000 units “presently” in wvsw, what would happen? They would abuse objective entrances/gaurds/pve/siege/terrain and basically take you to a spot on the map that is definitely in their favour.

hmmm… you are ground fighting… How in the world is the enemy going to “move” you toward a keep by gliding when you can’t just jump up and glide.. you need to glide DOWN from something.

Gliding will do NOTHING to change how the ground fights work.. If anything people gliding down from a cliff to join a fight can be shot down and killed pretty easy as they’re coming down.

I’m just really curious, what is this supposed to add to WvW? People will just fly away instead of fighting now, or sit on ballista’s. At least disable gliding while in combat.

lol, think about it.. you can’t just ‘fly away’. Need to jump off something to glide.. and you can still be shot down. This is gonna be an interesting addition. Seriously.. blob vs blob vs blob again and again… and some havoc over and over has got pretty boring…

This will add a new way to kill masses of people even quicker as they try to glide down from wherever.. :P

OP didn’t ask for the amulet system….. All he asked for was to remove PvE stats from WvW. That in no way means you have to go to the amulet system. Most of these comments aren’t even relevant to what was proposed.

The op said: “Make it like PvP, you can keep your look.”

“like pvp” implies “amulet system”…

I wouldn’t recommend, the servers are already lagging when 2 zergs fight or when there is battle near smc.
It will just frustrate ppl more and that leads to more complains.

These kinds of comments just make me laugh every time. By this logic, I would make your GW2 lag (no matter where you are in the world) by me watching Netflix (no matter where I am in the world). The internet is a little more robust than this. VOIP and game servers would be independant systems, just like having our server community TS/discord doesnt lag everyone in WvW. That Anet is hosting it would make no difference.

That said I find it totally pointless. Anet provides the platform for WvW, true, but its us that make WvW what it is. We dedicate ourselves to it and build communities around it and ultimately, play it like we want to play it. Its when Anet start to dictate too much how you are supposed to play it that it all fall apart. Built in VOIP would be Anet telling us VOIP is mandatory, not us making that choice and molding WvW to what we like.

WvW in-game Voice Comms

Using voice to text? From microsoft or google? And show those messages as /say or /squad so it can be seen visually? Or would it be too much clutter?

Not sure if you’ve ever used voice to text very much but it’s not a very good option. Unless you speak like a robot and carefully, and only one person speaking… it won’t work very well at all.

I’m not sure if it was ever discussed, but what do you think about Anet installing a server wide voice chat system? With the amount of different players (new and veteran) on a borderland at the same time, it would help a lot in coordination for those learning the ropes. Anyone can bind a key to speak. And to make sure maps can be coordinated properly, voice comms can’t be muted. If a Commander yells out “South SM blue zerg inc!” in voice chat, you want to make sure they heard it. Far too often people are busy playing and don’t read commands in /Team or /Map.

People use Teamspeak, or Discord… to have yet another comm and have it in the game so that you can’t shut it off would be totally disruptive. If that was the case then I would totally shut sound off in the game itself.

Also, with multiple commanders and groups nobody would want multiple commanders shouting different orders/requests over top of each other. This is what TS and Discord are for… and the folks that won’t go into TS or Discord will do as I suggested above and simply shut off the sound, at least for that service.

To have balance you must have a solid balanced base foundation, wvw has become boring, he who has the most condi necros wins, amazing build diversity, Amulet would fix wvw for the good, sometimes you need to think outside the box, i hope anet will just test it before hand, if it sucks it sucks.

The amulet is “the box”. Totally inside the box on that one. Canned setup. Condi necros, mesmers, rangers, and so on… they are all killable. Build it right, play it right, they die just like anyone else.

I know i would get this reaction, but think about everyone on the same level of stats plus will help new players coming to the game mode, i guess Mike O’Brien was correct wvw players really love pve more.

Definitely would not help anybody really. Not in WvW anyway. WvW is NOT PvE and the stats are not PvE. We make our builds specific to WvW and in no way do we need some ridiculous amulet system to take away our options.

I was in PvE today. Those miniraptors are frigging crazy. Easier solokill 10 wvw players than miniraptors.

hard to kill mini raptors? really? I must be in a different game.. and I’m not trolling you. Pretty much doesn’t matter which of my classes I play those little things don’t last more than a few seconds if they try to mob me. So boring compared to wvw for sure

Simply put. The patch turned this wvw completely into EOTM 2.0. Welcome back EOTM. Don’t defend, don’t roam without a large group, flip everything and let it get flip so you can flip it back for participation. Bad update. Bad.

Time to do <alt> F4 and uninstall if wvw rewards is your game mode.

I don’t like the necessity of such a patch, nor is it perfect, but how can you say the patch discourage defending? I mean, you get 10 min on decay timer for defending.

Once you have successfully defended. I’m not sure what constitutes defense though. Is it by just being IN the object until the contested timer ends and restarts? Or is it actually fighting people attacking? Not sure.

Hate to have to say this but for the most part I agree with that statement to a degree. It’s a lot more about PIP farming now than it is “defending and fighting for our land”.

Last night I saw a lot off callouts for help that went unresponded for the longest time and even someone getting picked on for calling for help and asking if anyone was going to come… The other folks were busy taking other objects and as we know… yes it’s our “garri” but that too can be flipped back for pips… and so on. :P

I was on the bandwagon against this change in the beginning. Over the last day and a bit I’ve been in WvW quite a bit and it’s very easy to keep the participation up and not have to worry about it winding down unless I wind up standing around for 5 minutes or more. 10 minutes depending on what I killed last.

The point of this, I believe, is to keep things moving and it definitely does that. The decay timer isn’t a big issue. Even roaming I can get up to T6 and stay there easily enough.

Remove WvW Linking - Give Us Back Our Servers

WvW is pretty boring without people fighting with you, and against you, and grouping those people so they can find each others more easily(ie server links) is needed.

If this really is the case, and I suppose it most likely is, then I really think that this linking should be eliminated and the linked servers absorbed into wherever they may be. Bandwagoning will never be stopped regardless of the efforts short of terminating transfers completely until/unless all worlds are equal. Merging servers would definitely eliminate the complaints that we have about our “identity”.

Yes most of us probably wouldn’t like it but after a while it, like most changes and leave no trail, would fade and things would continue… without all this linked server talk back and forth.

My vote is to either unlink, or merge… this relinking every two months is frankly annoying, and at best gives me no solid team to fight for.

On the other hand… we used to have karma trains… now we have pip trains… and that really is what’s going on now in WvW. People looking for whatever will give them pips… not all… but very many people.

Suggestion: "tagless" commanding.

I think it would be beneficial if commanders had an option to run ‘tagless’. That is to say I want people with commander tags to be able to run around without a pin over their head or on the map. This would allow guild groups to do their thing and practice without attracting unwanted attention.

So why not just make a squad without a tag? People won’t see your group on the map right?

Without a tag, you can’t utilize markers, lieutenants, share squad participation and so on. As it stands right now, guild groups that want to run tagless generally have to designate one person to sit at spawn doing nothing with a tag up. Now where’s the fun in that?

Anyway that’s all I got.

as mentioned above… all you have to do after creating the squad is to drop out of it then rejoin. You then have a squad with no tagged commander. Works like a charm.

Remove WvW Linking - Give Us Back Our Servers

Just because someone says it, doesn’t mean it’s true… works for me, and for the devs. They can say what they want.. I can go on what I see with the people I know. At the end of the day, with the new PIP system I still say the servers would do just fine. You can argue against it again and again and it still won’t change the idea that it could work.

What applied then doesn’t necessarily apply now, and so on.

Ok, so find the dev who made the quote and call him/her a liar and challenge their stats against what you “see” and what “people know”… Id love to see that interaction take place on the forums so start a thread and pm the dev…

I’m not getting angry or abusive.. let’s keep this friendly.. we can debate without being nasty. They have their stats and that’s all good.. I have what I actually have seen while playing the game. If more pugs came in than xp people left then nice for ANet but not so nice for the folks that really PLAY wvw.

I’m not getting angry either… You are basically saying that the devs are misleading the players, and countering that dev statement by your personal speculation.

You counter facts with facts, not assumptions. By all means, you are more than welcome to challenge the devs, but you better have all your stats in order, not just what you “see” and you think others “know”…

Do you know what the player cap per map is?

Do you know what the average amount of overall players per server, on every server, is?

Do you know the total average wvw participation rates for every month this game has been in existence?

Do you have the overall average amounts of wvw players and participation rates pre and post linking?

Do you have any stats with regard to anything wvw related that you can provide a rational counter argument with besides what you assume?

…The answers are that you don’t know any factual stats, so you’re basically calling a dev a liar. And your only argument to remove linking is that you think you, and other players, know better… That counter argument won’t win on any level and certainly won’t be strong enough to convince the devs to remove linking at this stage in the game.

The dev statement is no more supported by evidence available for review than is the case for the poster you quote.

I’m willing to agree that the overall stats they have are no doubt real and true. But I will narrow this down and state that for the people THAT I KNOW on my server I definitely saw a marked decrease in wvw activity for quite a while after linking. NO I don’t have numbers and I don’t need them. When I see people I know coming back now that haven’t been in for a while wondering if linking will terminate … well, it is what it is. Overall numbers notwithstanding… our server suffered.. now that this PIP system is in place I see MANY more people playing that I know that had all but stopped. .. and of course new people.

At the end of the day, with the new PIP system I still say the servers would do just fine. You can argue against it again and again and it still won’t change the idea that it could work.

Ok, so find the dev who made the quote and call him/her a liar and challenge their stats against what you “see” and what “people know”… Id love to see that interaction take place on the forums so start a thread and pm the dev…

If more pugs came in than xp people left then nice for ANet but not so nice for the folks that really PLAY wvw.

How about most of the people in this thread actually playing with the fix before condemning ArenaNet for not testing it?

If a camp really gets you 10 minutes and a sentry gets you five, that’s plenty of time to get to another objective and actually DO something.

I am curious how much killing a guard gets you as they are plentiful and do earn you WxP, not to mention credit for the objective if it’s taken later by someone else.

No it’s not working that way unfortunately. Some people are saying they are getting larger amounts of time for doing things but doesn’t seem to be doing that for everyone. Half an houra ago in EBG, I was with zerg, took tower.. ported back to garri and ran straight to SMC… by the time I got there was already in full decay.. so even tho I got credit for the tower, I didn’t get the extra time to the decay meter.

Well here’s a good one… I had almost 5 minutes left, then we took a tower… suddenly it was counting down from 4 minutes. So, if you take something that gives a lower reset time then something you just took before that you lose the benefit of the longer reset time… you get reset to the last taken/killed object. The benefit of killing someone and getting a 10 minute reset is wiped out by taking anything else with a lower reset time.

This is from personal experience a half hour ago.

The decay timer doesn’t show 4 minutes. It will only show the last 90 seconds before it starts decaying. I believe you were probably looking at the tick timer.

/T is global and can see seen on all borderlands. /T should only be used when you need to communicate to other bl’s and ask for help etc… although it gets abused as most things do.

This is a case of “Be careful what you wish for”.

A loud minority of people raised a massive stink about supposed “Outnumbered Abuse” that was never an issue as it only took place during off peak times. Well now that problem, as well as the AFK farm is solved.

im laughing hard too.
They got what they want, they shoulda be happy and celebrate.

as noted already…. the decay timer has NOTHING to do with the outnumbered buff.

I am ‘out of wvw’ until/unless this is fixed. As a high xp player in wvw I’ve seen things go in different directions and dealt with them. This one is a show stopper for me.

My degen timer started while I was trebbing an enemy tower (yes I was doing damage).

This is insane.

… the beginning of the end .. ? heck I’ve already slowed down and I haven’t even got started for the day.. I did go into WvW a short bit ago… then I thought.. meh forget it.. logged out. When this is fixed I’ll go back again.. if it’s not fixed then I will definitely dedicate more time to my other new mmo I’ve been dabbling in a bit… seriously.

General

  • Outnumbered is now applied each scoring tick (every 5 minutes). Swapping to a map right before a tick will no longer grant an Outnumbered pip bonus. Instead, you must play on an Outnumbered map for an entire tick to earn the bonus.
  • Consume All now works for Badges of Honor.
  • The Skirmish Chest now opens a vendor window instead of an item-selection window. This will allow multiple items to be selected from the chest.
  • Participation decay timers have been adjusted so that players must be more active to keep participation from decaying.
  • Three new commander icon colors have been added: cyan, magenta, and white.

The new participation timer just blew it for me. You’ll literally start losing participation if you stop to break into a keep and it takes more than a minute to do so. Um, yeah…

lol, yep… just watch the grind slow down now… I’ve already decided not to bother going into WvW as much as I was the last couple weeks. If my buddies are in there I’ll pop in for a bit, but I had actually started solo roaming again and some havoc with pugs… but meh… not gonna be worth it now.

None of you have provided any real evidence or rational arguments to remove linking. Some of you can type until your fingers hurt, but it doesn’t change the stated dev fact that wvw is healthier, in part, due to linking… All in all, it’s pretty irrational to want wvw back in the same failing state it was in before linking…. Makes zero sense and is counterproductive to wanting a more thriving game mode.

I don’t believe that overall participation increased at all. I’ve seen many many people leave WvW and this game because of the linking. The borderlands got more people now because of clumping up the servers but that doesn’t equal more participation.

As stated above here and there, the new PIP system has actually brought new people into WvW… and has caused more and more people to stay in and farm for PIPS. They aren’t “fighting for the land”… a large number don’t care at all about WvW.. just the PIPS.

But, if the servers were returned to their original states WITH the PIP system in place I’m very confident that not only would they do well, but they would do very well as people moved around to places where they could roam/havoc and farm the blazes out of every object in site just to get more pips.

With this new PIP system you don’t even need many people on the bl’s for that. You just need “participation”. Yep it’s flawed… but it definitely would get more participation out of every server!

That’s the problem! We need scouts to do what they do. This new system actually makes it even worse for people who scout to hang around and help notify/defend a keep that’s about to be attacked.

It really just encourages more and more farming and that’s about it.

Yes definitely… I can’t really even remember what the so called rewards are for pretty much anything. As I’ve said before, I go in to play with friends and have some fun… but the idea of subscribing to the grind that has been setup to get pretty much anything “cool” has left my system completely.

Agreed that it’s too aggressive… BUT… Perhaps that will filter out the big amount of people that seem to hang around spawn for 10-15 minutes gathering their pips before logging out of WvW.

I think it should NOT be as short as it’s been made now… but definitely shorter than what it was before. Like ONE cycle, not 2 or 3 before it starts winding down. 1 minute is seriously just ridiculous, imo.

Sometimes it takes a couple minutes just to get to the other side of some bl’s! That seriously puts a big flaw in this change…

Linkings revitalized WvW. Now with a surge of people playing WvW due to pips, linkings are less significant, but that population surge is not going to last long.

Linkings were always a band-aid stopgap measure however. We can’t go back to having multiple tiers with almost no one playing in them. It is bad for the game mode, despite what a vocal minority of roamer types say.

What is needed is a new system, a revamp of WvW that is designed to maintain population balance and promote even numbers. Is the current system bad? Yeah. Would going back to no server links be better? No.

If that’s true then they should simply remove the linking altogether and make a new set of servers. Total revamp of WvW. Give them new names, or just remove old names… make it possible for people to move around a bit to be sure they are with their guild mates and/or friends. This linking as it is, is continuing to just make things worse regardless of what some people might say.

It’s not JUST the roamers that are making these comments so it’s probably best not to clump a suggestion and apply it to one specific group. People on both sides of the fence feel as strongly about their positions. Hopefully ANet will come up with a solution that actually makes WvW an attractive place to be other than farming for a legendary backpack… ugh, which I’m not!

For people who are farming, regardless of what they’re farming, there will always be a way to “workaround” the current system. Fix one part, open another.. and so on.

For those of us that are actually there to play in the borderlands I don’t see much of an issue. For me it’s a bonus if the enemy comes on and gives me the outnumbered buff but I don’t look for it. Most people I know are on a BL or EB to do what they usually do in WvW. For those that want to map hop to find an outnumbered buff.. all the power to them as far as I’m concerned. If those extra pips and getting closer to that “amazing” backpack is what they want then BAM… lettem do it.

NOTHING in this world is fair.. in or out of this game. Look for fairness and you’ll continue to be stressed. Just enjoy your own game and suddenly what the other folks do really truly doesn’t matter
