All refund requests should be submitted via support tickets starting now. Refunds will be issued in the form of gems to eligible accounts.
Is it a problem if i already sent the ticket 1,5 hours ago, and should i repost it, or isn’t that a real problem ?
Don’t repost, it’ll slow the system up. It can take up to 3 days for them to respond anyway and that’ll prob be extended to 5 days. I suspect support are up to speed so they should still deal with your early request.
Thats what i also think .. it just made me a little confused why they don’t postet at first when we should start writing tickets, and then some hours later they say : go now.

I find 2 things funny: people still think warriors are #1 DPS and that people think the OP isn’t making a parody post.
The sad thing is, i really don’t think its a parody post since normally you use at least some irony or sarcasm in that, and that post really sounds if that person believes what he/she wrotes.
Else its however a very very bad parody

The most “funny” WP for me is always “Slough of Despond Waypoint” in Frostgorge, where you always get this message but still are NOT ported anywhere else, since there are NEVER really actually mobs and that WP is only always shown as contested because of the event behind the wall.

I live in Europe, I don’t mind having the updates around 19.00 – 21.00 as it is now. It’s perfect for Work and school.
You can’t please everyone.
Yeah .. i’m from Germany and like the times. When i come home from work i can have a break, do some RL stuff .. and then mostly we got the patch. I really like it that way
It was also perfect when i played Champions Online where the servers were normally down for 3-4 hours before that patch, and at 18:00 at our time when i was home from work servers also came up again.

Thank you
However .. i don’t know if that was correct .. was also myself unsure what to do
Also … not sure if we should post the request already now or if we should also wait and post it later .. but i got at least a mail that they received it, so i think i simply wait until somewhere in may .. and repost if i don’t get anything until then.

Btw can I also have a refund for my 2nd immobulus? I would also graciously accept the 250 giant eyes that have since quadrupled in price.
Yeah .. i want also refunds for my 3 Jormags Breaths, 2 Reaver of the Mists, 3 Zodiac Longbows .. and of course for all the stuff i sold at the AH not for the highest possible price and that i bought for more than the lowest price

You have heared that your legendary will get accountbound with the patch, so you can simply move it to your guardian or mesmer if you want ?
Else .. that was one of the reasons i never bothered with Legendarys, since i often change the character i like the most, and i also played GS long time, made Vision of Mist for that char, and at some point simply liked axes much more, and was happy that it was “only” a Vision that takes dust now in my invisible box

Does anyone know where I can request a refund?
When I got to en.support.guildwars2.com I get this:
Page not found
Also I found this refund page: https://help.guildwars2.com/entries/27697743-Refunds
But that only covers refunds of the full game, or gems. Not refunds for specific items (such as gemstore armor).
I used this : https://help.guildwars2.com/home
and then Purchase issue → Refund::Game Upgrade
That was the closest that fits for me.
Best MMOs are the ones that never make it. Therefore Stargate Online wins.
I don’t think this is the problem
32-Bit Windows can only handle 2 GB per application. Since also the mapped display-memory is subtracted from that, in reality the game can maybe use 1,5-1,7 GB of memory and if it wants more it simply crashes.
This ist THE main problem of most people that have random crashes after playing for while.
For me that problem already started when i played Age of Conan, and at that time i upgraded to Vista-64 and never looked back.
Best MMOs are the ones that never make it. Therefore Stargate Online wins.
Does it happen on all your character ? I would try a repair first, since when something always happens at the same place that often is result of corrupted data.

In EQ2 it were more like 4 roles, Tank, Healer, DD and Utility/Buffer like Bards. Bards were not needed in 6 player dungeon groups, but were really essential in raids.

Then all these people will shut up already about their legendaries…
Legendarys were not bought in the Gemstore !!!
The price of a legendary is only worth so much because of actual prices of items in the TP.
Else we can also ask for refunds because i sold 1000 Iron ore for 20 copper and it was worth 3 silver 3 weeks ago .. or things like that.

Most of the people in our days can’t stand rpg in turns (not strategy rpgs like FFT, but like FF4) because we got better systems.
Or its maybe just a problem in a multyplayer game. For a single player game i would always prefer a good old turnbased game where i can fight more tactically and think about what to do next instead of pressing the next button in panic, since there is not enough time.
My favorites were always games like Wizardry or Might & Magic in the regard

I want to see you playing a healer in ANY trinity game with your screen turned off.
I know at least some healers that preferred staring at the wall instead of looking to the mobs they fight in Everquest 2. So yeah .. you need to have your monitor on, but all you have to see are the life-bars of the players.

Every Week again. DPS-Meter. Holy Trinity. Mounts etc
We should make a rotation.
Week One: Holy Trinity
Week Two. DPS Meter
Week Three Mounts.
And so onWell how about we are making bets. Will the next Thread like this open in a week or two?
dont forget about cloaks/capes!
and duels.
And ofc Open PvP .. but we had already 2 of that again in the last 2 days i think
Best MMOs are the ones that never make it. Therefore Stargate Online wins.
It doesn’t always have to be a contest of DPS though, I’m not asking for a DPS meter, I’m asking for visual aid to see how much damage people are doing as at the moment I don’t know if 1000 per auto-attack is good or whether I should be doing more like 3000.
At the end of the day MMO’s are meant to be about improving your gear and skills to increase damage. Fair enough, some classes may be more ‘supportive’ so a DPS meter wouldn’t fully show how helpful someone is towards the party but if I was going with guildies it wouldn’t matter how much damage people were doing, as long as we were doing it.
Not everyone joins pug groups and then does the dungeon in fear of being kicked. I just want to gauge my damage compared to other classes.
What about asking people simply how much damage they do ?
Uncommon concept these days .. i know

Talk also about pirates with their endless torment skill.
Oh yeah .. the pirates were already annyoing before torment, but now they got even worse.
And these Fire Imps in Plains of Asford .. yeah .. i remember that for one quest you had to touch some items where one of those spawns, and i think i got 3 red circles around me in under 1 second
Then there are also some Jellyfish underwater in Snwoden Drifts .. also really evil if you have more than one of them, even as a level 80 in full exo. And of course this Mesmer in Snowden Drifts ..

Why ? Because to make new content interesting to play for longer, there need to be a good farm .. and the clockwork pick has very well shown that some people here think thats P2W if you pay 100 gold and that will bring you 1 Gold profit after a year of playing.

Another one of those threads ? Look what a success ganking games like AION are in the west. You just always kill those games .. gank people until all easy targets (pve player that only want to level) leave the game, then leave self since there is nobody left to gank.
No thanks.

I never understood why people always used LA .. personally i only went there if i needed the Mystic Forge, else my home as always been Hoelbrak
Because you could get there quickly and for free from anywhere in the world by going to the PvP lobby or WvW and then through the portal. Getting to any other city means either paying for a waypoint or going through another loading screen.
Did that in the beginning but later the massive loading time it took really wasn’t worth to spare the little money that you mostly got back with chopping a tree or mining some ore. And you can gather quite a few in the time you spare with directly porting to another city

Much better than wasting gems on town clothes and other useless bling.
Absolutely!
And i don’t get why people spend 700 gold for a set of ascended armor that makes them in total not even 1% better
While I agree with the point, the improvement is actually closer to 5% (still not worth it in my view).
Not really .. the improvement compared to exotic armor is maybe 5% .. but the improvement of your total character stats is much less.
For example a strength based character has normally around 3000 str, a berserker ascended armor has in total 15 or 16 points more str than exotic, so you get 0,5% more total strenght.
A zerker has maybe 100% crit damage .. the whole armor set gives +1% crit .. so thats 1% more.

Anet are ’’working’’ on the solution…
The solution (in my opinion) is, what all other MMOs do .. let an instance stay open for 5-15 minutes after all players leave, so you can even reenter personal story instances if you had a crash.
Best MMOs are the ones that never make it. Therefore Stargate Online wins.
….. get rid of the gem store too.
How do you think they pay the light bill to keep the servers on so you CAN play the game? Charity donations?
YES! lol
They should totally get rid of the Gemstore and the TP and then charge us a subscription to keep the servers running and just give us everything for free. While they are at it, they should remove this silly account-bound/soulbound crap and allow us to freely trade everything regardless of if it’s been worn or not.
They can say Evon refused to work for the Lionguard and he and his cohorts ended up at the end of a firing squad.
Then they should add mounts. Because mounts make everything better right?
Then they should bring back the gemstore some time after, and instead of naming it Black Lion Trading Company, name it something like.. Ellen Kiel’s Mystical Store of Wonderment and Do-hickeys.
And finally, turn gems into a physical item in the game and allow people to trade it directly with other players.
lol.. too much to ask for?
Or they give us really everything that we can get in game directly on first logon. Then we have won the game and don’t need to play it and there is no reason to complain and they can shut down the servers and everyone is happy .. right ? .. RIGHT ??

I don’t get people who are buying this crap especially for all characters, you are harvesting to earn gold but these tools are too expensive to be profitable.

You can preview them ingame, just search for the colors in the TP. Problem is that colors ingame in most cases look totally different since they change with the lighting of the actual area.
Also the color preview will be enhanced with the feature update at 15th march.

@Beldin,
Axe spin doesnt hit more than 5 at the same time, the GS on guard “looks” like it does but cant either, just seperate projectiles hit at different times making it look like youre tagging 15 enemies at onceSo, if theoretically there are 10 mobs standing in a row and i start axe spin and move through the mobs from 1 to 10, i will do some damage to the first 5, but the last 5 will get no damage at all ?
no no you will damage them so long as you leave the range of the enemies that are filling your 5 cap, you have to move though and with GS#2 on guard you can just stand still
Sorry .. but i don’t understand what you say. Maybe its because english is not my native language.
I damage them as long as i LEAVE the range of the enemies ? That makes totally no sense from my understanding. Or did you want to say as long as i DON’T LEAVE the range ?
Still neither answered my question, that was if the AoE cap of 5 tags the first 5 mobs you do damage to, and after that you will not be able to hurt any other mobs if you move away from those 5 and move into other mobs.

I have White on some of my chars, and in Shiverpeaks it also looks a little blue, not very different to Blue Ice.

For white a good cheap alternate is mostly Blue Ice. For Gold try Antique Gold first that you should have as starter color i think.
This is for example my necro using Blue Ice. The other color i’m not sure at the moment .. i think it was lemon ice or banana .. at least also something cheap

If you’re low level (1-15), try leveling in Queensdale rather than Metrica Province; it’s more crowded there.
Queensdale and Wayfarer Foothills is where i normally always spent the first levels, i think those are both better than Metrica. I also simply don’t really like the whole zone layout of Metrica.

Not beeing forced to play dungeons was one of the main reasons for me waiting for GW2.
So far i’ve played over 4000 hours and was only 2 times in Ascalon Dungeon because somebody in my guild simply didn’t gave up to try to move me inside a dungeon at one evening.
So far the only thing you miss are the Skins from those dungeons, however personally i don’t really like most of them that much that i could bring myself to run more dungeons
For money .. i have 12 80s now, and with them i can make quite good money with harvesting ore or herbs

Yeah .. i was never really sure how the AoE cap really works .. is it a real maximum of 5 or is it just 5 per spin, so if you have 10 mobs around you can you tag the 5 on the first spin, and the other 5 maybe on the second spin ?
Especially when i think about axe#5 from warrior where you spin quite a while and can move in that time, i think it must be possible to tag more than 5.
Best MMOs are the ones that never make it. Therefore Stargate Online wins.
nothing beats guardians GS #2 hands down, the ability to tag every enemy is delicious, shame its radius is small :C
Its not about GS but Staff since its the only ranged autoattack (i think) that can 5 targets.
Also i’m not really sure if whirling wrath can tag more than 5 mobs … isn’t that normally the AoE cap ?
However .. last time i have farmed in Orr with my staff guardian was in October 2012 i think
