not sure if you guys are trolling or what. if you ever check your drops, you never get t5 material like Vial of Potent Blood or Vial of Powerful Blood in 1-15 zones, you get only Vial of Weak Blood on lv80 character.
That was more or less was i also wrote in my first post in this thread :
All the armor and weapon drops are worth nearly nothing. The items that are actually something worth are things like T6 mats that only drop from highlevel mobs, or midlevel stuff like Linnen and Wool.
So you can get lvl 80 weapons and armor everywhere, but since normally its white-green crap that is not really worth it to farm low level mobs at all.
And btw i also got already an exotic with a traveller rune out of the chest behind the lvl 4 Jotun in the Norn Starter Area .. so i believe that you really can get Dusk also from low level mobs.
Best MMOs are the ones that never make it. Therefore Stargate Online wins.
Strange, I got my Dusk off a Level 6 Raptor Hatchling in Metrica. I think you must be mistaken. =)
Wow .. grats
I remember the first exotic i ever found was from a lvl 43 or so Svanir .. however only trash that was worth 90 silver .. and that was after 1000 hours played
Best MMOs are the ones that never make it. Therefore Stargate Online wins.
you cannot get 80lvl items directly from drops in low level areas. you get them from champ bags, which are different story. also you get only tier1 materials from drops there
Thats wrong .. mobs drop either loot in your level range, or on mob level. So in Queensdale you may get 1-15 items or 70-80 or whatever with a level 80 character.
Best MMOs are the ones that never make it. Therefore Stargate Online wins.
And, I’ll be honest here, I’d rather get Mighty level 1 blues from low-level mobs, because they sell for 5-6 silver on the Trading Post, for some odd reason. :P
Or light armor somewhere in the lvl 30-50 area instead of 80
Best MMOs are the ones that never make it. Therefore Stargate Online wins.
Sadly i noticed the last two weeks that we don’t even have a champ train anymore on Drakkar Lake. When i farm T6 in Frostgorge i at least killed the Troll whenever the train was coming ..

The Frostgorge zerg is honestly a better option for t6 farming right now, unless you’re on a server that regularly zergs in Orr. I usually get a decent chunk of t6 after only an hour in Frostgorge.
Some people simply don’t like running the train that much. I really just do it when i need Bloodstone but i also never had the feeling that it was giving that much than what some people are constantly saying,
And Orr is just such a depressing area.
Best MMOs are the ones that never make it. Therefore Stargate Online wins.
Holy, those prices. I almost forgot how cheap stuff back then was. I made Sunrise in December 2012 and remember that I though 2 silver for a T6 mats is ‘expensive’.
Hmm .. what T6 mats ? Bones ?
I farmed Frotgorge already at that time and i think Blood was around 20s and Claws and Fangs maybe 10-12s.
Bones were cheap at that time maybe because all the undeads in Orr dropped only bones.
Best MMOs are the ones that never make it. Therefore Stargate Online wins.
I normally get 10-18 T6 (Blood, Claws, Fangs) per hour when i farm in Frostgorge. I already thought about looking for spots in Southsun, but i think then better stay in Frostgorge
I’m still not sure that MF has any influence on crafting mats, since when i farmed 1 year ago with 70% i found the same number or even more than now with 170%.

Giving other players the power to mute players will only lead to another form of harassment where some people simply mute players because they can.
Champions Online has such a feature that was tought to be used against goldspammers, but there are not even goldpsammer in that game, but the function is often abused by groups of players. Saying something like “I don’t like Wolverine” could already be enough that some people try to mute you for the next 24 hours.

Help help! What am I supposed to do with all these extra dragonite, empyreal, and bloodstone!
For full ascended armor set you need 15 refined of each, correct?
So I currently have 9 alts that’s 135 of each…
And then you need 5 each per weapon. Suppose I gave each of my alts 3 weapons that’s another 135… so I guess I’ll need to bank about 270. What should I do with the rest? Craft ascended backpieces?
You also know that a full set of ascended armor will cost around 500-750 gold just for ONE character ? And that the pure increase in stats is maybe just around 1% compared to your total stats ?
I have btw. 12 characters and 10 of them have 1 or two ascended weapons, but only one has an ascended armor piece, and that was also just because of the look.

I wonder what all those people that constantly want PvP in the PvE world would say if each day a new thread popped up where people demand that we can go into PvP zones without beeing attacked by other players.
I mean .. hey .. we need that so badly, a non-pvp flag for PvP zones .. i never get my 100% map because since AION i will never again want to have to deal with PvP in any form.

Arena Net needs kick it up a notch. ‘World Bosses’ need to live up their names. They are not supposed to be farmed casually. And be sure to make the loot is worthwhile.
Yeah … or they can just directly shut down their servers instead of kicking 95%+ of from playing the actual content.
Best MMOs are the ones that never make it. Therefore Stargate Online wins.
Maw Shaman is totally ok. Think also that he is a lvl 15 boss, i think he maybe has even a little too much hitpoints. And there is no danger in coming too late since you can do the pre-events without a problem since they are directly at his spot, not like Behemoth where they are so far away that Behemoth could die when on the way.
Worm is just .. a bag of hitpoints now .. could also have some less, since also everybody can already come for pre-events.

I mean really, what was the point of your reply? its very obvious we need a better reporting option for harassment, with or without dueling, it’s a core problem in any multiplayer game that ANet needs to find a solution for, blocking features for the potential of harassment makes no sense at all.
And whats the point of the whole thread, and all the other threads about Open-PvP and Duelling in a game where it was not implemented for some reasons and the majority of players (imho) simply don’t want it ?
Also i have very very seldom beeing annyoed in any MMO by people who played instruments, but the whole Open-PvP and Duelling thing is constantly a playground of players who simply want to harass other players and who don’t understand the meaning of the word “no”.
Best MMOs are the ones that never make it. Therefore Stargate Online wins.
If you guys at ANet really had to steal this idea from Elder Scrolls Online, you could at least have changed the name of the feature.
And Elder Scroll Online has “stolen” if from Champions Online, that has already a Mega-Server since release in 2009
And with the guesting function here, i always thought that we had indeed something like a mega-server already, and the only reason to have different server was just for WvW.
However i’m not really in favor of the system if everything is done automatically and we don’t have any control to choose a specific instance of a zone.
Best MMOs are the ones that never make it. Therefore Stargate Online wins.
Although I’m inclined to agree, I could see it being tied to the open world under control of, say, the Consortium in Southsun. To entertain the masses they set up a dueling arena area with all the bells and whistles – people could post or accept general challenges on a board (“Mesmer looking to take on all comers!” for example), people could create private challenges with someone specific, even tournaments could be organized and held as events with prizes. Instead of having the crappy open world style dueling (yes, my opinion) you could create an area that builds an entire dueling community.
But thats what those people don’t want. They want to do it everywhere. If you are in the bank sorting your staff .. they must have the right to duel right there before you just to annoy you. You want to do some crafting ? Fine .. but people of course need to duel directly before your nose.
So even with outodecline and everything else, i want at least also the option to simply make every dueller invisible and noiseless.
Best MMOs are the ones that never make it. Therefore Stargate Online wins.
If i look at the current overflow system i fear they make it automated
For different reasons i really wish they would make it like in Champions Online (that has a Megaserver since years), where you simply can open a window and select one of the available instances of a zone from a list.
That also worked in games that had no megaservers, but opend up more instances of a zone when there were too much players, like Everquest 2 or Age of Conan. In the end it was like overflows, but you had control of it on which overflow you wanted to play.

1. Most players don’t care about town clothes.
Yeah .. also never cared about them, and i’m only happy now that i could use the Pirate Oufit in Combat. And i think that is also the only interesting part for most players.

To clarify; perception is 250 precision. Bloodlust is 250 power.
Will we be able to put sigil of bloodlust and sigil of perception on the same weapon?
You will be able to do that on a 2-handed weapon, but it makes NO sense, since you can still only build up ONE stack, and thats the staclk of the sigill that triggers first.
Else everyone would maybe run around with a total of 4 stacking sigills .. or even more on underwater weapons

First you should be shure what kind of stats you want for your items. Then just take a look in the TP and search for exotic lvl 80 items for the different places.
There are sometimes for example cheap dropped items or cheap for crafted items that can vary from 1g20s up to 5g+ so the price for a complete set of armor may vary from 7g to 30g.
Trinkets .. if you have already some laurels you could maybe buy an ascended amulett, else i would only buy craftet since the dropped ones miss the jewel upgrade, and that is the most expansive part.

Oh okay thanks for replying!
Guess I’ll have to buy battleping to get rid of the lag then
Did the lag just startet recently or did you had that forever ? I know for example we had 2 times since release Problems in German with our biggest provider due to some overloaded hubs, but that took maybe 2-3 weeks until they upgraded them and after that it was good again.
Generally there is a problem with the internet since more an more people watch Movies over the Internet so that the traffic gets higher and higher and at some points some hubs simply have problems to handle all that traffikittenil they are upgraded.

Hi guys, I just started playing gw2 again and I’ve noticed that it’s been very laggy (rubberbanding etc). I don’t think it’s my internet though because I can play other games like Dota 2 with no lag at all. I’m from the Philippines btw so i tried this program called battleping which helps you connect to NA servers and it really does take away the lag-but I’ll have to pay for the full version which is 5 dollars a month. I was just wondering if anyone else from asia/South East Asia is experiencing lag like me, and if there is any other solution than buying battleping. Also, is it illegal to use battleping? It is a 3rd party program and all and i really do not want to get banned haha
Anyway thank you to whoever can answer my questions
If a programm like battleping helps against lag, that just means that your ISP is the source of the lag, because in the end Battleping or any Virtual Private Networks just change the routing of your traffic. So the source of the lag is somewhere on the normal route of your ISP.
And no, its not a 3rd Party programm for GW2, since it doesn’t change anything in the client, its just as if you change your Internet Service Provider

Empyreal Shards are also in Jumping Puzzle Chests if you don’t care for Dungeons.
They are also in (most) normal chests that you can find in the open world if you don’t care for dungeons and are bad at jumping
Also you can farm these chests once per day per character.

I think that is the reason why Celestial is that expensive, since it is one of the more or less “true” white colors that stay white even with different lighting. Also i don’t see your problem really. On the first image it has a lightblue touch for me, and on the other maybe a little more gray, but not bright white.

250 Orichalcum Greatsword Blades crafted from 750 Orichalcum Ingot (upgraded from Mithril) = 21g 13s 59c
Hm .. how do you do that ? You need 1500 Orichalcum .. they cost a little over 75 Gold at the moment.
Can’t see how you do that so cheap with the Mystical Force Receipes :
Orichalcum Ingot
Source Mystic Forge
Type Ingot Promotion
Output qty. 10 – 40
Ingredients
250 Mithril Ingot
1 Orichalcum Ingot
5 Pile of Crystalline Dust
10 Philosopher’s Stone
If you get 25 Ori, you have to do that 30 times
thats 150 Crytsaline Dust and 7500 Mithril Ingot
30g for the Dust
59g for the Mithril

There is a big difference between easy content and broken content
nobody here is calling for Shatterer to make three headed wurm look as easy as Shadow Behemoth
you fail to undesrtand what im suggesting
The problem for me is simply the fear that ANet goes again over the top IF they ever change him, and thus i better want him left alone as he is.
Since i hate Orr, Claw of Jormag and Shatterer are simply my main sources of Dragonite, if they make them unplayable i want at least that the low level bosses also drop 15-25 Dragonite as compensation

2) about how many levels (if a character started as lvl1) would i get if i crafted from 1-500? how much would my lvl 1 character level up ?
10 Levels from 1-500, 7 levels from 1-400.
The cheapest way to level is do chief, jeweller and artificer from 1-400 first.
400-500 is always a looooot more expensive.

I’ve definitely seen an occasional bug that causes certain orichalcum/ancient wood nodes that I’ve harvested on one character to appear “used” for a different character that I know for a fact has not used it yet.
And before someone doubts that the character hadn’t used it yet, I’ve noticed this happening to nodes in areas that were previously unexplored for that character. The map clears, I get the “new area” text, XP, and audio clip, and then I run up to a used node.
But then again, this is probably unrelated.
I think that has more to do with the placeholder function of Ori / Ancient Wood nodes.
For example there are 2 Ori Nodes in Frostgorge. Now you harvest the first of them, then after 5 or 6 hours you can harvest the same node again, however if you go now to the second node that one is also used.

The interesting question is .. how much gold do you make per hour with that ?
Since 50-80g per week doesn’t take into account how much hours you play.he wrote 8-12g/ hour
and where do you have that 50-80g per week from???
“On a good week, I generate over 80 of each T6 mat along with two full stacks of Globs of Ectoplasm. This doesn’t even include all the other T5 mats that amount to 30-50g alone every week.”
I confused the 80 (of each) and the 30-50g every week i think
