That is still the question if i consider how bad SOE always was marketing wise. Just compare the numbers of EQ2 against WoW .. and in my eyes EQ2 was the better game.

ESO is a generic MMO with outdatted quest system that will only last because of fan of the series.

Wildstar is a WoW 2.0 and even if there is a good chance that he can succeed, it will attract another kind of player. GW2 and Wildstar is for two really different target audience.

Yeah .. EQNext is the only of the three that may interest me. In the end however the big question for me will be if they again turn it into a progressive raid-game or not since i simply don’t like raiding at all.

Your bank is the same on every server, just use the guest function and look into your bank on another server, everything is still there. So i think its save to say that your expansions and items will also be there after a transfer.

The game-servers are in Frankfurt, but the Login-Server is in US i think, and also the webserver for the Trading Post.

I always loved the cooking animations in AION, and often thought it would be great to have something like that here. On the other hand its maybe a problem that a single craft here is 10 time faster.

Then there should also be points for the “correct” runes and sigills. I use for example Traveller Runes … what the heck … -500 for that .. thats soo much damage loss, could cost 1/4 seconds in a run.

And also for the “correct” build. The best players tell ANet what the best build is, and then only that gives point, and maybe ANet can change the game and simply remove all other builds at all.

There are different kinds of rich nodes. Some have a fixed location, those are only harvestable on one server and they do reset like Ori nodes.

The others have semi-fixed spots, so they may or may not appear at some given spots. Those have a 24 hour timer .. but .. whenever the zone is restarted because there is no player left, what is the same as if we have a patch, then you can harvest them again even if they spawn on the same spot.

If somebody knows the Spider Cave in Dredgehaunt Cliffs … there are 2 possibles spots for semi-permanents if you enter from Wyrmblood Waypoint, and then there is another behind them where you must jump down a bridge, or where you can enter from Hessdallen Kenning Waypoint .. that one is a permanent.

I can see there are items to be picked up from the Trading Post. Gold counts as an item, so your gold may be queued up behind whatever items are awaiting your pick-up.

It’s not just for min maxers. It can benefit all players who don’t want to pin themselves in one content.

Not if i don’t have a Legendary. So everybody without Legendary should buy 20 Ascended that cost more than a Legendary if he thinks he really needed that much different Sigills ?
If it should help all Players then either they totally remove Sigills, or let us swap them for free also on Exotics or yellow items. Everything else is just again a step further to make the game less alt-friendly since i don’t have the money to buy Legendarys for all my 11 toons.

This teleport system is on a massive cooldown,8 hours and 1 hour. Have you ever heard about waypoints? They are these special thingys which teleport you everywhere in the world,and if your friend isn’t excactly on the point,it’ll take you maybe 5 minutes max to get to him.
If not they have removed waypoints in the chinese version?….

With teleport system i meant indead the WAYPOINTs. Using Waypoints is P2W if paying to save a little time is P2W for people here.

The rich nodes with fixed locations seems to reset at daily reset, also you can’t harvest them on more than one server it seems.

The rich nodes with semi-random locations have normally something like 24 hours reset but you can harvest them on all 3 server if you have luck and they are on all at the same spot.
Also whenever zones are resettet because there is no player in the zone, the rich nodes also can be harvestet again even at a spot where you just have harvest them 1 minute before.

That is often funny at 3:00-5:00 in the morning when zones often a resettet and i try to harvested a rich node with all my chars, but before i’m ready with all there is the next reset, and there are maybe again new nodes there

Whats next .. that users with a Legendary should also can change their traits whenever they want just because they have a Legendary ?

I don’t think ANet is seeing any subscription based MMOs as competitors, and perhaps we should add microtransaction based MMOs too the list as well. Existing MMOs are slow in terms of updating their content to compete with newer games, anyway.

Yeah .. funny that nobody noticed that GW2 is already dead because RIFT went F2P. And RIFT is really one of the better Trinity/Raid based games. I would maybe have played it longer if i could have it without the raids ..

Yeah .. “full endgame progression” is exactly what most GW2 player do NOT want. One of the main reasons i am here is exactly that i never wanted to play any of the raid-centric games with their never ending item spiral ever again and that in GW2 you can get the best gear without beeing forced to raid.

SWTOR was released 9-10 month before. If that is a problem new Games could never be released because there is always something else in that timeframe.

There should be 2 gifts. Gift Of Grind and Gift of RNG. To make a Legendary you need 3 Gifts of Grind and 1 Gift of RNG. Gift Of Grind = Farm 1,000,000 of anything. Gift Of RNG is a random drop from a random champion mob that has a chance to appear with odds of 1/100,000,000, in a random area, random overflow, on a random server. Then the game should tell what class you are and automatically give you something you can’t use.

Since this seems to be a “we need more grind” thread i would also suggest that Ascended need waaaaaay more Dragonite .. at least 2000 per weapon .. and also only Dragons should drop Dragonit .. that way you know you’ve “worked hard” for your ascended and so you “earned” it

Hm .. a friend recently just leveled 3 characters cooking and he always has gotten 10 levels for that. I was also a little astonished about that.

Even through cooking and jewelry are still only 400, they have been changed as well. I know this because I recently leveled a necro, maxed cooking and jewelry and got only 17 or18 exp lvls using craft boosters.

Cooking seems to give still 10 levels, all others just 7 from 1-400.

Crafting Boosters also don’t give you more total exp, they just give you a higher crit-chance that means that a single craft can give more exp and so you can maybe craft to 400 with lesser mats.

You can also make decent gold from both dungeons and farming in frostgorge.. would it not be quicker to farm the gold to buy gems with to get the keys?

Maybe people just want to do something different now and then ? After running 10 hours FG Train it is maybe just refreshing doing some key runs instead ?
Then there are people like me that simply hate Dungeons and would do anything else that give profit as long as it is not running Dungeons

What you and a lot of people here call P2W is just pay to save maybe a little bit time.
That is also called just Quality of Life (QoL) .. and that is of course a thing that they put in the Shop since those are things that DON’T give you advantage in a fight against other players.

If pay to save time is also P2W, then even buying kitten Drive is P2W because with that SSD you have better chance in the Champ Train to get a hit on the Troll, so you make more money in the same time .. ergo : SSD is P2W.

Or buying a Bankslot or Bagslot .. saves time because you don’t have to clean your invent so often .. so a simple Bagslot is alredy P2W.

Now, maybe someone wants to do it the quickest and do it better than everyone else, but really means “you’ve beat something or someone.” The goal in this game is to have the rarest gear with the ‘best’ skins, some of which are found in the gem shop.

Point is, yes, the gem shop is P2W in the context of THIS game. An exotic is and exotic. The value of the exotic is not the stats, but the skin.

In that case the game is and has already been P2W since start since you can buy Gold with real Cash, and it doesn’t makes any sense to further discuss if any new item or service is p2w since EVERYTHING that is buyable by Gold in any form is P2W.

All these points are invalidated by the PvP safety toggle.
AoE skills don’t attack green players.

Green Players do not exist at the moment, so that all must first be implemented, and nobody knows before what problems will be connected with that and what kind of exploits other players will find out very fast.

I remember the thing in Lineage 2 where you normally went first purple if you attacked another player, if the player attacked back he went also purple and then you were fine to fight against each other. Now if the other player didn’t fight back and you continued to attack you went red .. and that was bad.

Now people asked player to get buffed from others .. while the player was buffing they got attacked and now they went purple because they buffed an hostile player and could safely be killed.

Things like that some people always find out real fast.

What happens for example with buffs ? Normally you share buffs to all your next players.
No if a player attacks you he is maybe buffed by your buffs while doing that. So to protect against that all flagged player must maybe be totally immun to get buffed by any other player.

Or what if you want to team wit other players to gank others ? You are both flagged so you will maybe all the time also make friendly fire on the player you want to play with ..

When you are guesting, you cannot use the Transfer Button to go into the main, since players Native to that server have priority for the main. Server Guests are low priority.

Any official source for that ? After all i heared it doesn’t matter from what server you are.

Also i get the same error constantly when i’m in an overflow on my home server.

10 years ago I paid my dues every month. The only thing that got me was access to the game, nothing else. So if I am not a raider, bam, I don’t have access to certain armour and weapons for example (never mind the stats – they often also looked better).

One of the main reasons i started with GW was that i simply hated raiding, and no matter how much i played i was always a second class citizen in these game who never had a chance to get anything of the nice stuff.

It helps to have a lot of alts. I have 11 80s and search a good route in Dredgehaunt cliffs that gives me maybe around 40 ores in 5-6 minutes. This is mostly a route where i run the first part on Server A, and run back on Server B.

Of course i mostly have to search a good route each day, since there is mostly a reset of the zone in the night. Good thing on resets are however that they also reset all timers on rich nodes

This is not helpful if you really want bugs to get fixed.

If you want them to get fixed post at least an Image where the problem can be clearly seen, also it may help to post what Video-Card and Drivers you use, since sometimes its just a problem related to driver problems.

With these Infos at least other players can tell you maybe if they see the same problems or not and devs can have a look at those specific pieces especially if you also post the name of the pieces.

Sometimes i wonder why people don’t already complain that its pay to win because you have to buy the box, so you can’t win if you don’t pay … ergo → P2W.
