Unless they changed it (which they could have), Sigil of Paralyzation does work on dazes.

You don’t. Camp shortbow 80% of the time in teamfights and use your melee set to finish small fights, or the rest of the fight, quickly. Don’t do 1v1s.

I’m confused how he let you cast a trap for 4 seconds and still lost? Should be able to take away most of your health in that time since you aren’t doing anything to stop it.

Don’t use sigil of fire on a dagger. Dagger is purely single target damage, so you want to focus your damage on single targets.
Exactly. Use Air instead. I use Fire on my sword.
Air only does a little more damage and if you’re fighting a 1vX the AoE can help wear the one that isn’t your target down.
To be honest though I mostly use fire on my dagger because I have Incinerator :P

You don’t lose stealth until you deal damage on an attack. So if we are considering a stomp an attack, you shouldn’t lose stealth until the stomp is finished (and the “damage” is dealt).

Sword/Pistol is pretty mindless for leveling against melee mobs, just black powder and auto attack. Shortbow secondary for big events and for pulling.
Snag Shadow Refuge and Signet of Shadows asap, the stealth stacking and the +25% move speed make roaming around the maps much faster.
In fact if you would play an engineer or play against engineers, you would realize Elixir S is just a prolonged death wish in WvWvW. If I see an enemy engineer use that skill I know that he will be dead in few seconds after that 3 seconds of invulnerability runs out. My engineer stopped using that skill a long time ago.
Auto-proc Elixir S is a death wish, the normal one is only a death wish if you’re stupid in your use of it.
If you ever left your zergs and fought some 1vx’s you’d know how useful invuln stomps are and how useless stealth stomp is in comparison (except against idiots)

Removing stealth stomp from thief would be a huge nerf, though you’d also have to remove it from engineers and mesmers if you are going to remove it.
Stealth is the most accessible of the stomp aids (stability, invulns, stealth, teleports), but is also by far the weakest. Stability stomp can only be stopped by porting away or your teammates downing the stomper. Invuln stomp can only be stopped by porting away. The way to prevent teleport stomps depends on which kind is being used, but essentially boil down to dpsing or cc’ing the stomper or porting away in the case of shadowstep stomp. Stealth stomp however, only really prevents the downed person from using any single target skills. Any aoe CC will still go through, as will any aoe damage from teammates.

You’re not allowed to complain about retal unless you’ve played grenade engie.

It isn’t a true stun breaker but it is still an instant cast teleport. So you’ll be stunned for all 1/4 of a second but you’ll be 1200 units away from the guy who’s trying to jam a sword down your throat.

My guardian with over 2k toughness was taking 1.2k hits from superior arrow carts with protection up…. They essentially make attacking a tower with rams impossible.
The off hand pistol will only be used for the off hand skills (skills 4 and 5).
So use blowtorch or glue shot and the off hand pistol will do something.

This is the build I run for zerg busting (my guild runs an organized group of 8-10)

I checked your build lately and I have a question. Is it possible to use 2 on swap sigil for the same time? e.g. battle + energy, or will they don’t work at the same time?
The one on your mainhand will activate first, causing the universal sigil cooldown to activate, thus making the sigil in your offhand useless.
As the people above said, build around your support guardian. The rest of the builds should be balanced builds leaning towards DPS (in my opinion at least). Generally bringing along water fields and lots of blast finishers also helps.
[KoM]’s ideal group looks something like this:
2 Guardians (1 support/1 more DPS oriented)
2 Engineers (Nades+Toolkit, no HGH)
1 Mesmer (GS/Sword+Focus, shatter spec) or D/D ele
Obviously the classes aren’t set in stone, but when we have our “A” team running around it looks something like this.

Also tooltip damages are based of a calculation against a set armor value. I think it’s 2800, which is higher than many players run in WvW.

Uplevels can just as easily use this to their advantage as bait. Many people see an upleveled person and get tunnel vision and don’t notice the friends that were hiding on the other side of the hill.
In your video at 1:52, the duel with the other thief, what did you use to go into stealth?

The sigils would share a cooldown, meaning if your battle proc’d from attunement swap, you wouldn’t get a might stack on crit for 9 seconds.
Guardian with 3k armor here. Backstab deals 9k+ damage to me.

No vulnerability, no might.
Can’t say much about 100B or mesmer burst but killshot also hits me for 10k+.
My Guardian with 3.1k armor has never been hit by anything for higher than 6.5k, I smell shenanigans.
Hidden Thief gives you stealth when you steal, not shadowstep. Shadow shot would not be putting you into stealth in the first place
Remember that Proc sigils (Fire, Air, etc) and Swap sigils (Battle) share a cooldown.
Personally I would do 2 rares with your stacking sigils (so you only have to kill 13 mobs to get 25 stacks), and then exotics with Battle and Force/Accuracy. That’s for WvW ofc, where it is pretty easy to find a secluded spot to kill mobs and not need the higher stats of the exotic daggers
Did yo have a stolen skill which can not be used underwater?
I wasn’t able to steal at all underwater. Perhaps it was because I had one queued up that couldn’t be used underwater. I will check tomorrow. Thanks!
That is likely the problem, if you steal something on land that cannot be used in water, steal will be locked until you get rid of the item by using it on land.
GC thief will have around 60% crit chance easily, but yes it is just chance that they both crit.
They’re running food, oil, and the measly (+6 stat points) blessing. Everyone can run these if they want to. Not an exploit

They really just need to fix the pathing and the skill will be great. Seriously increase in damage? The second hit hits as hard as cloak and dagger (the PvE version, not the nerfed sPvP version). If both hits crit you can hit for 9-10k with it.
1. Sb is generally better since it goes the full distance even if you’re crippled/chilled or rooted. If you use 12 initiative, they would go the same distance (heartseeker is 450 range with 3 ini cost, sb is 900 range for 6 ini).
2. Cluster bomb is good if you can get it to land. You should explode it if you can get all 3 fragments to hit the target. The poison field can be worth it, but generally not against one target. Number 3 is great if you’re out of endurance and need to dodge a skill (plus it cripples).
3. Yes you can cancel it and dodge out of it (stability will remain up as well)
4. I’m not exactly sure what the question is.
5. The axe can do huge aoe damage (up to 12k or so), but you do need to be careful with it.
6. Force or Accuracy (assuming you already have 25 of a stack)
It increases the damage of all skills no matter which hand it is placed in.
It does not work with condition damage
Use Sigil of Battle (3 stacks of might on weapon swap) in your other hand, swapping attunements counts.
Try to interrupt a stealthed thief who is stomping? how? you can’t even target him.
Use some form of AoE knockdown? There are plenty of them.
Heck many of the down skills that interrupt don’t even require a target (such as the warrior hammer throw).
Or just drop some AoEs on the downed player, most thieves will get rocked by the damage while trying to finish the stomp.
No Karma from Crafting. Do daily (hero tab/window; achievements), the jug of Karma (that you get for completing the daily achievement) is account bound, give jugs to alts to use.
Yep, and you could also save all jugs until you get a karma booster^^
I got like 6750 karma from each jug I saved.
If you use every possible karma boost (WvW outmanned doesn’t affect jugs) you’ll get I think it’s 7875 karma per jug.
