I agree with your points.
Why is condition duration attribute in markmansship?
The traits with “… all cats …” “…all birds …” are worthless in my opinion. I want to select my pet in appearance not skills. It should trigger for all pets or “pet in slot 1” or something.
For non-damaging conditions such as vulnerability (the friend of all things power), cripple (kiting 101), for the most part condition duration isn’t all that helpful for the damaging condition in most modes of play just kind of there.
Secondly Power/Condition Duration is the only constant in trait line/stats layout.
We more likely to get them to have the current shortbow attack rate to properly interact with the current quickness, than see any backtracking on their part. What do you we, thieves/mesmers?
GW2 is DESIGNED from the ground to favor zerg mechanics, due to how dynamic events work. Putting counter-mechanics in it, like requiring organization, massive scaling, no loot/xp will always end frustrating everyone.
Even zerg events that require coordination and that i consider fun and well implemented fall in this trap, like tequatl – Very well designed IF you have good commanders/ people who know what they’re doing, which means parking in the map 1 hour before the spawn, horrible and hopeless fight if you dont….which goes against the very philosophy of gw2.
Honestly, the only people i know who seem to be enjoyin the pavillion are on this forum. Everyone in my 2 guilds, all my friends and everyone in map chat HATES it.
I doubt that, the game seem more designed with 5v5 spvp in mind for most/all balance, the rest of the game seem sorely neglected in focus/design as they rarely need to design anything new just reskin existing mechanics.
Made an Assassin set (slowly working through leather working) to try out and did not want to look at the emblazoned set for the time of testing so…

Where are the dried beef sticks?
Yea its pretty kitten the name will turn into juvenile blabla as soon you switch pets in slots.
However, my reef drake pet will keep its name no matter how many times i switch it, lol
If you are using it as both a terrestrial and aquatic pet then the name will stay as the pet never was fully switched out.
I am surprised that they haven’t found a way to allow us to name all the pet we possess as it would be a changed that has nearly no downside for them, 1 it doesn’t effect their precious sPvP ‘balance’ and 2 I can not see any player complaining on that being add.
It is still bugged. This time I logged in after doing the manual fix and low and behold free signet of might passive.
Broken again same issue.
Whole thing is broken can’t buy or sell
That’d only be fair to both sides if it were a LAN tournament like PAX hint hint
But if it’s like PAX TCG would need to find an alternate.
So this was is allow to stay for week, so far, when they broke eagle eye on ranger they got it fixed in like 4 days…..
The bloodsaw mask lacks a skin unlock option.
@DeathShadow Necrotic Grasp Pierces so it can potentially hit multiple targets. For dagger to get a cleave on the auto they would probably have to reduce it attack speed. I am just guessing here, but I am reading that request as the desire for a power based multi-target playstyle to be supported. Yes, no?
My fiance and I are both experiencing this bug I am going to have a friend long in a see if he has it too.
I am still a bit concerned that the responsiveness is going to be at the cost of the pet interrupting skills and placing them on cool downs.
It would have also been nice if they could have looked into the cast time/animation length across all the pets, many effects are on needlessly long cast/animations when compared to similar effects in the game.
Prime example why does mighty roar need to take such a long time when compared other might granting effects.
Have they fixed that weird terrain bug on the way over there?
I wish they would restructure Living Story season 1 into Personal Story 2.0, was kinda hoping they would do this for China release but it looks like they won’t.
The main thing that turns me off about LS is a complete lack of replay value.
That is the problem with a Living World – complete lack of replay. Either you get a static world or you get a Living World – one or the other.
If they built more fractal content based on the living world, perhaps as a selectable grouping we could get the best of both.
lyssa needed a nerf. asking for it to saty he way they are is like saying: please i wanna keep using my imbalanced op skill for the easy win!
fact is, lyssa was broken for some classes with low cd elite skills and the nerf is needed!
When has that ever stopped Warr.. Ok not constructive, but in before part of the Warrior community claim is was a targeted nerf (like all quickness and life steal pies.)
Correction: Condition Bunker Ranger is good in PvP.
Every other build is bad.
Fixed that for you.
I rarely hear about Ranger condi bunkers.
If people are crying about rangers, it is always about Spirit rangers.
I can only guess that they cry mostly due to the fact that the spirits are mostly passive in nature. And for some reason passive causes issues with PvPer’s never mind that sigil massively work, most traits are passive in nature and a profession that won’t be called out can not work without high PASSIVE healing. That and the stat starved environment of sPvP lessens the some of the problems ranger has in many of the other modes.
The RNG factor just makes the Ranger a harder profession to master, and its not going away, because the Ranger is supposed to be a pet class, where you are effectively controlling the actions of 2 characters instead of 1. The Best Rangers are able to take advantage of the Pet’s Strength’s instead of complaining about the Pet’s Weaknesses. The Bad Rangers are the ones who don’t like to use the pet.
It’s not that people don’t like the pet ( if you don’t then you shouldn’t be playing a ranger) I think it’s more people don’t like the unreliability of the pet. If they fixed the way the pet works and made it more reliable then I doubt any rangers would have issues. It’s because anet have said that they can’t (AKA don’t want to) fix pet pathing or mechanics that people just want it outright removed.
yet, the unreliability that is the core of the problem (for now), can be managed if you bother with it. Yet, the same “haters” that cries about it, does little or nothing to counter it either.
But I shouldn’t have to “bother with” an unreliable pet in the first place. I love ranger, and will quit Gw2 entirely before I rage-switch to another class, but I’d like to see some changes to make the pet much more of a threat, rather than something that can only be counted on for one F2 skill (and even the F2 skill is a MAJOR tossup).
If you do decide to leave can I have your stuff.
But closer to topic so would it be going too far to make this generalized statement:
There are higher expectation of the performance on the part of a ranger player, than for some/most other profession for a similar view-able output. So the hypothetical “bad” ranger could in fact with a different profession (one with lower expenditure/output) be “decent” to “great” depending on that ratio.
Also slight shift how is it that we are still going, as a community, back to the definition of what ranger (the word, the profession, back and forth) means?
We have one…. underwater, with the jellyfish. Go go… Aqua Man.
I recall that they announced that those reward tracks would also give the transmutation charges so with the traits being repeatable it is possible to change your look in pvp just by doing pvp. So enough with the got nerf when it is the only mode of play being designed not to require at least a partial exploration/trial of another mode.
Not sure about the whole running around in the undercloths, but I don’t see boot conceal harming the game in the least.
I’d like those sandels that the raven shaman set has.
Asura,
I invite you to join your voices to unity to get an option to hide boots.

Charr,
I invite you to join your voices to unity to get an option to hide boots.

Hopefully someone from Anet will see this and release us from the tyranny of shoes…
Joking about the tyranny, but I found a look for a new character I plan on trying out after the 15 rolls out and I just couldn’t find decent boots to got with the concept, but the calf area of the racial pants I liked get completely covered by lots of the boot.
Think of the poor Asura who must squish their misshapen feet into human children’s shoes or have to cut the sides to allow…
Again :P
Concealed Boots 2014
Illusionary Leap + Swap
Breaks Fear. Could we get that added to the tool tip.
One of the new faces clips with the mistwalker/flamewalker masks.
The horns coming through is great, wouldn’t change in for anything, but the forehead poking through kind of makes me sad I choose the armor that character is wearing from preview from a different charr (with one of the original faces) so one makeover kit later clipping.
I think the unique animations are more to blame than the size of the Asura. If I recall correctly, most of the tells between the other races are exactly the same.
As we can already conceal the gloves, helm and shoulder armors I would like to request that boots also be included in with those options.
You can probably just run one in WvW/Pve in an underwater weapon and it won’t matter if you unequip the ‘normal’ weapon with the stacking sigil.
My gut reaction is to say bad, but with the free traits resets I will probably unlock them and try them to confirm or deny my initial feeling about them.
Easy solution ask Arena-Net to add a filter to the metric so that when you select RP for example you are grouped with more like minded individual/groups and that way individual that attempt to troll or harass role-players are easily identified and perhaps permanently banned from RP maps.
Go home mesmer your drunk.
Either that or Scarlet remembered to waypoint after defeat.
The OS etiquette:
-Don’t interrupt duels at the duel spots, or finish a downed foe who was clearly involved in a duel
-Don’t grief GvGs
-Don’t spawncamp
-Don’t expect people not to attack you
You fourth rule runs counter to your first two.
Really ? This thread again ? It is a PvP zone, PvP happens in PvP zones. There are several other way to complete the achievement that do not include JP’s.
First it is a WvW zone if it were PvP I would not see so many nerf food, dire op, and assorted WvW isolated complaints.
Onto the main topic anywhere there are both Jumping Puzzles (and achievement for completing them) and the potential for Players to conflict with each other there will be people that will want to camp them.
Choose better adjectives.
Don’t worry about the lack of skill, people will probably flock to the whole lose a match of PvP get a reward as it will be a path of low resistance.
Just as likely for mesmers to be given a tactical nuke or….
In before GO GO…
This better not be kittening real. Source please ! kitten this nerf and kitten u anet if this is for real
U MAD BRO
But seriously kitten this and kitten that, what exactly is troubling you there?
All I really noticed is that they want to normalize stats on the rune sets while weighing them within the trait system.
Secondly why is this thread even in the PROFESSION BALANCE subforum. Man they nerf perplexity going to have to reroll….Its a rune set not a… never mind I am going to start a thread requesting this subforum rename Insert Whine Here.
It will probably be bypassed by running a stacking sigil in an underwater weapon (which are all two handed and will all be getting an additional sigil slot).
An armorless/trinketless thief doesn’t take too much longer than an equiped run either.
Here you go just a Ranger and the NPC taking back the town
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HchZRqtUu_s
Didn’t even take that long.
Really great discussion there Ision what ever would this community be without you.
Just to get thing clarified and to reduce the argument just call the profession Beastmaster and be done with it.
As for a pistol main hand I would rather see it not become a scepter clone (no pun intended) Dusty might be borrowing a couple of skill names.
1- Arcane Shot (has a flanking damage bonus)
Ether Shot (has damage bonus based on number of illusion active)
Disarming Shot Weakend the Target
2- Cheap Shot fires a shot that transfers one condition from the mesmer to the target while stealing (or removing) one boon; deals extra damage to boonless targets.
3-Illusionary Pistolier Clone that uses the Arcane shot chain
