I will keep whining about it, thank you. I would be content if the expansion was $40, not $50. That’s just too steep for me and I will not be picking it up until it drops.

Seriously, I just wait for it to come out on Netflix. (The Interview was an exception, I watched that on Google Play Christmas Eve with the family. $6 for 48 rental of the movie, instead of $12 for each person and could only watch it once)

Unless PvE players are active WvW players, the chances of them of getting in are very low. They mentioned on the main site that the 1st stress test will be given to very active WvW players.

This may be radical but they need to do away with the server based system entirely (since servers mean nothing now anyways). Distribute guilds across matchups based on population and performance and have guild based ratings and reward systems.

Server doesn’t matter unless you plan on being an active participant in World vs. World. If so, check with players in the WvW sub-forum about which server would be best.

Yes. That’s my major disappointment with season 2 and all of the recent GW2 development in general.
There was a lot of very vocal whining about how GW2 was different from other MMOs, and it seems the devs caved and now we’re getting World of Tyriacraft, basically. Or at least every change tries to make it more like that.

It’s pretty much why I’ve kinda just moved to World vs. World… crushing JQ and BG skulls give me more pleasure than Season 2’s Living Story. Granted, I’m still going to buy the Expansion Pack, because Guild Halls, Gliding, new Borderlands Maps, etc… I just hope that they go back to the style of the FIRST Living Story in making the world dynamic, etc.

As a person who missed out on Living Story Season 1, I actually would of preferred Anet to continue doing it that way.

I started at the beginning of Season 2, and thought to myself… “I thought GW2 was supposed to be a Dynamically changing world? This Season doesn’t feel like it’s really changing the world.”

They have already addressed that by stating it is against the rules to use the LFG tool to sell items. These people should be reported for LFG tool abuse when you see it.

That doesn’t stop people from doing it. People are still trying to avoid the Marketplace because of the “massive” fees. I believe this is Anet’s way of just getting people to stop doing that.

So when JQ was attacking us last night, and TC’s blob came into our garri at the same time, its ok when you do it right? When TC and JQ both attacked our bay tonight, it was ok right? Dude get over yourself, I know people in TC like to think of themselves as the nice server, but your server is as guilty of this crap as anyone else. And stop coming on the forums to qq about it and seek sympathy. We dont come here and say of one server is attacking us, the other server should stay off the map, are you for real? This is a joke thread right? Cant count how many times I watched jq and tc run by each other and not fight. BG was double teamed all night yesterday by both tc and jq at the same time so please stop with the hypocrisy and playing the false we’re the victim card. TC is as guilty as anyone else of any double teaming and dirty tricks.

As far as your suggestion goes, have you even thought it through for more then a second? There are pvx/pve guilds that exist, and there is a megaserver system, all guild upgrades are cross server now. Your idea has no practical or technical substance whatsoever, its just based on emotions.

Ive posted here many times about the reputation TC has among JQ and BG. I’m from TC. I have no idea what the kitten you’re talking about. You guys taking Hills today was proof that you’re trying to keep BG in T1. JQ on the cata wall, BG was on the South Gate. Once BG broke down the inner wall, JQ just backs off. 2 vs 1 much?

I see this way too kitten often as TC gets screwed over hard. BG can’t seem to do anything without JQ, which is why if JQ would quit protecting their kitten, we’d actually be able to see FA move up and replace BG.

BG’s “QQ” guild is kittening notorious for ganking only TC players. And we have the wonderful JQ spy that loves to screw over our seige, and troll us… it’s almost his full time job.

TC has every right to play the victim card because it’s kittening true. And there’s nothing wrong with building Waypoints in Keeps.

My questions:

1. Can we see the new map of the Borderlands? Just the top-down view, it would be nice to see where the 3 starting points are and where the 3 Keeps are. Because, the way it was described, sounds like Eternal Battlegrounds except with a Lazer thing instead of a Castle.

2. Will the Shrine effects carry over to the other borderlands similar to how Bloodlust did?

3. I love to sentry (surprising as it may come to a lot of players, as most would find it boring). However, 95% of the time, I am severely punished for it as I lose gold, supplies, and effort for attempting to upgrade the tower or keep, only to see it flip because I was in the middle of building an arrow cart, and had to run back for supplies, or spend an entire gold piece multiple times just to burn the supply to prevent it from falling into enemy hands. Do you guys plan to reward sentrying at all?

4. When is the next WvW Tournament?

Mabinogi is as close to a “sandbox” MMO as you’re gonna get… and devCAT dropped the ball HARD with it.

What’s a celestial build? I’m a staff ele and I just use the following skills:

• Glphy of Elemental Harmony
• Arcane Wave
• Signet of Air/Conjure Lightning Hammer
• Glyph of Lesser Elementals
• Conjure Fiery Greatsword/Glyph of Elementals

And of course the regular Staff 1-5 skills…

I don’t think people understand that there’s a good chance that QA already is aware of the bug before it hits live. The problem lies in how serious the bug is. In Game Development, QA has to rate bugs on a Triage scale. Is it Critical, Serious, Medium, or Low-risk? Programmers have to fix the Critical and Serious bugs first, which can often times leave Medium and (especially) low-risk bugs (like text errors, slight graphic clippings) to go into live. They fix Med and Low bugs only if they have time to.

Critical and Serious bugs would be something that would damage your character or could be exploited. Medium bugs would be like the Guild Chat problem (especially when there is a work around) and hearing random voices go off (yes, it’s annoying, but it doesn’t disrupt gameplay).

Even if you got players who are dedicated to finding bugs instead of playing new content, there’s still a high chance that a lot of those bugs will still go in to the live patch.

Perfect time for a Tournament then. :P

Oh you mean like the Sneak Attack event that removed white swords??? That was a test event and more than half the wvw community went into an uproar. Even some players stated they were quitting the game over this TEST event. So in a way anet tried to have us test things out. The outcome was players QQ’ing even before the event took place.

A lot of players actually enjoyed the no white swords. I liked it quite well myself.

The Alpine Borderlands aren’t being deleted. They said they would reserve them for Tournaments and/or be put in a rotation schedule.

Maybe they should make each of the borderlands something new. Like one is the Alpine, one is the Desert, etc.

I fail to see how? If you constantly blob up, your buffs are going to disappear, as well as your controlled towers and keeps.

I love what they’ve shown in the new BL! I want it already! Screw all you haters, I actually get tired on constant 60 vs. 60 blob fighting. I mean, if you guys want that so bad, go to the kitten arena in OS.

EoTM is terrible because of what the PvE community did to it, and because it resets after 3 hours. I want to be able to see progress of my hard work when upgrading stuff. Also, I enjoy being able to provide boosts to my server through our hard work (the PPT).

I want this BL! Grabby Hands I would rule the Fire Keep with a Firey Fist, hahaha, and watch all my enemies melt as I stand on lava unharmed. Or watch as 30 people jump from the tallest point in the map and crush their enemies from fall damage as they themselves are unharmed. These new boosts and keeps (and towers .) are awesome!

Also, I love the fact that they’re making it worthwhile to walk Dolyaks now. I just wonder what the camps will be like.

Short Answer: No.

Long Answer: Noooo.

No MMO has that ability. In fact, GW2 is still the ONLY MMO out there that doesn’t have to kick everybody for several hours to apply a patch, that alone is pretty incredible, and it’s quite sad that no other MMOs are even following suit.

They’re still kicking WvW players while they’re down I see. Now doing Map Completion in WvW doesn’t even give a reward? Why Anet? Why the heck do we even have Vistas, Skill Points, and Point of Interests in World vs. World now? There is ZERO incentive to do them now!

At least give a Key when you complete the map!

You need to add the -StreamingClient part outside of the quotation marks, e.g:

I did try that, same issue.

I don’t even know how to get it to stream. When I add the “-StreamingClient” to the end of it, I just get a typical “file location cannot be found” error.

Fine. Then take out ALL badges of Honor from the Achievement Chests. If they want the Gift of Battle, they still need to do the WvW aspect of it and not just get the easy way out.

Forcing PvE players to come to WvW was bad for everyone. You had uninterested people taking up slots to kill skritt/centaurs and collect skills, vista and Pois instead of helping the server. Many of those same people would complain on map chat about being forced to go there causing a distraction and lowering moral.

Yet there’s still Jumping Puzzles on the BLs…

My apologies. I never noticed that dungeons and sPvP were never apart of the World Completion. I think Iron Marches were the last part I needed, so I had everything else first (including the new PvE areas).

That said, needing to explore WvW helped me experience how awesome it is. I may of never noticed that mode if I didn’t need to grab the Vistas, PoIs, and other things from it.

In a map like Silverwastes, it can be very devastating to have quite a bit of afk players due to the amount of teamwork needed.
