I think a solution would be an option to set the tactivators to guild only members or public.

That is the current set-up as is. The problem is trying to get a guild member who is near the tactivator when it needs to be used sometimes, like an enemy server has reached the Lord’s Room of SMC.

I am willing to work multiple seasons for it, it’s just stupid that if you screwed your MMR over before, it’s pretty much impossible to recover from it. At this point, I only play to get my Daily PvP potions for the Guild Upgrades and nothing more anymore.

They almost screwed up PvP worse than WvW. Almost.

Uh, Mesmers aren’t overpowered, it’s the kitten Necros/Reapers that need to be nerfed so kitten much.

Sorry, you’ve already lost me. The wings aren’t worth this god awful game mode anymore. Ever since you required us to use multiple classes, my MMR is pretty much forever screwed, and no amount of playing is ever going to fix it. Going back to EBG in World vs. World and actually have FUN again.

Please, just stop trying with this whole eSports stuff. Games are supposed to be fun, losing 99% of your PvP matches is not.

This system is so flawed. I’m done with it. Going back to where PvP is actually fun. You know, World vs. World.

1. you don’t need ascended to do content, it’s not gated by armor, you can do quite nicely with exotics and

2. there’s no new tier of gear next week, or next month, or next year. Sure it might take you 2 months to get your gear. But that’s it.

You may find that grindy…but I don’t.

Yet, people require you to have Ascended Armor to even be allowed to do Raids.

Right now matchmaking is pretty much random vs random. If you lost 10 in a row, it might be you.

I actually ended up 0-19 before I finally won a match. I’m now like 1-29 or so.

The highest place possible should be the mountain where the Priory is, which is only accessible through void jumping. Gliding down from the mountain takes more than 4 minutes to reach the ground assuming you have unlimited gliding and are using speed increases.

Agreed. I REALLY liked the Festival of the Winds… and I know having it back would mean kitten in the storyline, but it was just so… lovely there.

The title says it all. I’m the co-leader of a small guild that struggles to recruit. I just don’t understand why it’s so difficult. So I’m asking the forums for some tips and ideas to help our small guild (less than 10) grow and flourish.

First off, our handicap is that we put our real lives first before the game, so being on every single day just isn’t feesible for most of us in the guild. We try and do activities together, but for the most part, anybody who does join, just ends up leaving anywhere within a few hours to a few days. If that is the reason why, then I guess my guild is forever doomed to be small, but I wanted to at least try and reach out and get some help.

So any tips/pointers would be great, thanks!

I think I’ll just wait for a sale. I’m not that eager to buy those at that price.

Forcing me to be in a massive guild just to play will make me leave WvW forever.

When I purchase an MMO, I am purchasing the land, the enemies, the items, and the non-storyline quests, etc.

The Storyline should be a bonus, and that’s where Anet’s mind was. Living Story was basically a bonus. Everybody already got their personal storyline, the Living Story did what it was supposed to. I joined the game right at the end of Season 1, am I sad that I missed it? kitten right, but I’m okay with that. Because for $40 (at that time) I paid for a massive amount of content as it was.

Guild Wars 2 had something amazing going on and that’s what made me want to join the game, was because of the living story… now it’s just… like any other MMO it feels like.

We’re an extremely small Guild (about 5 active members) looking to expand somewhat (around to 20 or so). Legend Voyager Crew [LVC] is a guild of close friends that just enjoy playing the game and having the satisfaction of building a Guild Hall (currently Lvl 7).

All of us do enjoy all game modes (PvE, PvP, WvW, Dungeons, Fractals, World Bosses, Guild Missions, Story Missions, even Roleplaying). We are not one specific server, so unfortunately we can’t all do World vs. World together as a guild, but players do join it at times to just enjoy the mode.

While LVC may be small, we are extremely friendly, and a causal guild. Granted, we can’t be on all the time (we do place our work and our lives before a game), and due to our small numbers, recruiting has been a nightmare (nobody wants to give us time to recruit because we’re “not on 24/7”), but all I ask is this:

If you want to be apart of a friendly, but small guild that just wants to have fun, make new friends, accomplish the major feat of getting to that elusive Lvl 40 Guild Hall, then give either me (Bristingr.5034) or the other co-leader (Helluvohs) a mail in-game (or whisper if you are a free account… however, don’t be discouraged if it says I’m not online, I am usually on a night-time, pacific time most days). Remember, we play to have fun, but still want to be apart of a fun group of friends that make the game more enjoyable.

We’re not raiders (we’re not strong enough), but we do help each other the best we can, and we do have fun whether it’s claiming a tower in World vs. World, falling into a new and undiscovered Jumping Puzzle (the Crystal Jumping puzzle in the Ascalon area was a surprise!), fighting in the name of our guild as a novice PvP group in Stronghold, or even just working hard at making our Guild Hall shine proudly to name a few. What if .. what IF .. the big major overhaul was to put EU vs NA in one big, single, matchup tiers?

You keep the servers you’re on and NA vs EU scrap it out to get to the top.

NA will win in top tiers because of well, stackgate. But it could prove very interesting in the silver and bronze tiers.

And it could open up more competition between guilds.

I’m down with this… as long as Asia gets involved. I still want that 3 way fight.

I’m having some trouble figuring out where exactly I’m supposed to “change” this item at. Both NPC Kelvei and the Wiki says it’s the “Heart of the Volcanic” Fractal, which I am assuming is Lvl 19.

However, after completing the fractal several times, I have not seen any indication on where a person who has the item is supposed to use it at. Before somebody claims “just look it up in the Wiki”, please don’t. I have already done that step. The Wiki does not mention where it is, thus why I am asking here.

So, does anybody know the exact location (or at the very least a closer promixity than “Volcano Fractal”)?

When a player who doesn’t have the Heart of Thorns expansion attempts to leave the Guild Hall: Lost Precipice to Verdant Brink portal, they receive a debug error message.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Capture the Guild Hall: Lost Precipice.
2. Have a player who does not have the Heart of Thorns expansion pack enter the Guild Hall.
3. Have said player attempt to leave through the Verdant Brink portal.

Expected Result:

There should either be a portal with a No Entry Sign on it, or have the error message explain that they are unable to enter the map without buying the expansion.

We’re a small, but friendly guild that is mostly based on the Tarnished Coast server, but we accept people from all servers! We’re looking to expand on our small guild to help grow and enjoy the full benefits of what this game has to offer for guilds.

When they remove the points system from WvW, then nightcaping will no longer matter. The point system is just bad in every aspect and is no indication of who’s the better server. Just remove it and make it that player kills count with outnumbered buff giving double. Would negate a lot of the annoying karma train BS and actually make people fight instead of running away, this is open world pvp after all!

People do play for the point system though. If you remove the points then the buildings are useless. War is more than just killing the enemy.

Holy Crap, I didn’t even think about that. World vs. World is a massive effort that requires Map Chat. Unless those new players can speak in Team Chat, they’re 100% useless to the paid World vs. World players.

Lol, Archeage is grindy as kitten, I don’t know what you’re talking about. There hasn’t been a good sandbox MMORPG in years… in fact the only one that comes remotely to mind for me was Mabinogi, which even that game is struggling (the reason why is another story though).

I have never seen an expansion cost that much. I was expecting $40 at the very most for HoT, and considering they were selling the base game for $40, and suddenly it’s Core + Expansion for $50, something just seems off is all.

I am curious to know what of the following content requires the Expansion, and what will be available for non-expansion players:
