Zergs will break up again in short order. I just think people were used to not seeing what they were up against and they were more ballsy with their fights. Now that they see the 40 man zerg, they are a little more timid to split off from the main force. Once people realize that you can still wipe that 40 with 20, they will split off again. We just have to get past that first mental barrier.

This isn’t directed at EMP or anyone specifically. Just quoting Noodles because you linked the video of the GvGvInterupt.

I can’t for the life of me figure out why people think GvG’s can be fun in the closed narrow space that is always used. It allows for zero tactics, just smash our faces into each other and hope our selection of classes is the Paper to their Rock selection of classes.

I’m surprised no one has tried to just say. Lets meet at X spot in open field at X:XX time on the tick. That way there is actually the possibility of maneuvering.
It helps limit the chance of being interrupted because you don’t have two guilds standing around drawing attention to each other. You can still pick a somewhat out of the way location so people are less likely to stroll by.

We have a standard set up actually!

Three fields! The one you saw was “trenches and hills” one team starts on the top while other starts below. “Open field” which requires more maneuverability and routing. Last but not least “Close quarters” , which is on the other side of the video.

You’d be surprised on how guilds coordinate under the given field parameters. Takes us like 10 minutes to set up the fields but it provides allot of awesome fights! Depending on the zone, you can tell how quickly some guilds stack together under pressure.

During match points, both leaders agree to face off on a specified time frame “xx:xx”. When one team defeats the other, they /salute and proceed re-rezzing and setting up. Its quite awesome if guilds have the courtesy to set up in such a chaotic environment. Promotes healthy competition and respect between guilds cross server.

Your “Open Fields” fight isn’t open enough for me. I just dislike the location in general. Massive cliff on one side with a big drop off on the other really restricts your maneuvering.

I do not think BG is fighting for 1st place at least that is not what I hear on vent/ts and what I read in chat. BG can NOT get to second place fighting two servers at the same time so saying it wants 1st place is incorrect imo.

My interpretation, as someone who mostly wvw alone/small groups, is that red woke up this week worried that they would be pushed back to tier 2…

I stopped reading there. If you had half an idea of what was actually going on you would know that it is almost impossible for SoR to get pushed out of T1 anytime soon.
Even last week with our NA basically not taking anything and just looking for open field fights we still only lost 13 ELO and KN only gained 11. That left KN still 93 points behind and the closer they get to our score the harder they have to work to get out of T2.

Essentially Kaineng has to win by about 200k and SoR has to lose by 200k. Not going to happen.

This isn’t true, the SoR map has been quiet all morning. Neither a JQ or SoR to be found.

That’s because they have all been on EBG and BGBL.

I’m speaking about NA primetime. I have no idea what happens during another other time periods.

Seriously, BG has no one to blame for their current situation other than themselves. I don’t know your internal politics nor do I care to know. But the issue starts with your server about not showing up, not with SoR or JQQ. Quit looking externally and start looking internally.

First off, T1 has been a 2v1 against Blackgate since we got there, seeing as SoR still have pent up aggression toward us for maplocking them repeatedly in T2 during the BGvsSoRvsIoJ match.

Glad to see EMP doing well still, seems they are the current reigning champions in the GvG world. The guild to beat for sure.

There is no GvG world, too many factors until they set up GvG arenas.

I personally don’t like the location that many choose to do GvG. The area south of the south camp is too constricted and too narrow. It clearly favors one playstyle and restricts other forms by reducing the amount of creativity allowed.

1) SoR will continue to dominate NA prime time and weekends, even easier now with PRX fading into background. Nevertheless, unless SoR suddenly gets a bunch of asian/oceanic guilds, it won’t able to be the “NO.1 server”( in terms of ranking)

2)Folks from JQ will continue to brag about the server’s “NO.1 status”and
QQing about the size of SoR zerg everytime they get facerolled.

PRX leaving is no big deal. They’ve been a nonfactor since SoR has been here in tier 1. They produce more bags than kills.

I really hope more asian/oceanic guilds will consider transferring to SoR, the wvw crews on this server are some of the best in T1, in terms of skills and tactics.

Can you define what you mean by skills and tactics? I think I have mentioned multiple times before and even SOR players and commanders have made posts on the forum agreeing with me, SOR does not or seldom use tactics and strategies in wvw. Many times SOR would choose to attack a fortified keep over a keep with no defenders because it is closest to them. Many times they would sit in a tower to defend while losing everything else on the map. Ignoring a gate in a keep with no arrow carts and choosing a gate with tons of arrow carts and brute forcing the gate down with pure zerg numbers instead of using siege is a sign that the server does not use tactics and strategy to take over a holding on the map.

BG has been asking SOR to reduce their 60+ zerg balls and is being met with a lot of resistance from SOR. I do no understand how SOR can say they are winning with skills in battles when you literally CANNOT use your skills in the battles. Seriously, these large zerg ball fights go like this:

You spam attack since you do not see who is attacking you and who you are attacking. There is a 30 second lag skill that makes it impossible to know if your skill attack actually worked, so all you do is rotate your skills and hope they work.

So, I ask again, based on the description of the battle above in large zerg ball fights that SOR insists on, how can anyone measure skills in the battles? Who spam attacks the fastest is best skilled? The largest zerg ball is the most skilled?

Us players on SoR don’t even use our fingers to press keys. We just smash our face on our keyboard over and over.

I think the idea is kain will counter FOO, stopping them from racking up as many point as they are now. This giving BG and JQ a even closer match up. I don’t think any one here thinks Kain will do any better the SoR.

And that map chat is exactly why a lot want Kain here, I would think JQ REALLY wants Kain in T1 more than anyone, when 20 mans are getting steamrolled no matter where they pop thier little heads out, yes they do get bored. Not sure about the rest of the world but Spring finally hit the Pacific Northwest in NA and that has to take a toll on numbers as well, across all servers of course but if one server has 100 extra people that is really going to effect those timezones. Is is spring in Asia?

Get over it already. Kain isn’t getting anywhere near T1 unless SOR quits completely. T2 is quite close and competitive. They are where they belong. Stop asking for other servers to do what you can’t in every single post and just live with how it is. It’s unbalanced, get over it and move on. The gap is below 100 points already. Kain will get here.

I get how it works. SoR is doing bad for what they have shown. Which they are losing points for it. I know once Kaineng gets close they will push even harder. SoR is starting to lose moral in my belief too. They were such a mighty server like SoS.

We are about to be losing by 90k points and we only lost 10 elo. Can you image how much we have to lose by to drop even more??? If anything, SoR will be gaining elo in a couple weeks and not losing it.

Tier 1 has the same problem tier 8 has effectively. JQ and BG are so far ahead in elo that they can’t drop our elo enough to force us out. Tier 8 has the same problem but in reverse. SF can’t win by enough to force them up and out of tier 8 because their competitions elo is so low.

Kain is currently a T2 server. SOR is a T1 server. The T2 match has become as close and as competitive a fight as i have seen in T2. Great week all around.

If SOR cant handle the fact that it is a T1 size server in a T1 match then its problems are internal and perhaps beyond saving.

Still bitter. For such a classy server, you don’t seem to show it often.

SoR are not competitive in T1 at ALL, they are just defending/upgrading NOTHING and let either BG or JQ take all and get maxed ppt. On another side, Kaineng is way stronger than you are but you ll never find out by yourself as you ll switch rank with them in few weeks.
Believe me KN is close to BG strenght and way stronger than SoR. You don’t want to hear it but SoR time in T1 is about to end now for the sake and balance of the overal T1 matchup (JQ would never win almost for free if there would be a real T1 server instead of SOR, atm T1 is a 1vs1 no SoR in view).

I think your first outcome is likely the cause. This massive update for WvW that was an “expansions worth” has been pushed back and has shrunk to fixing culling and adding in some WvW progression.
