Zerk Staff Ele is the strongest AoE caster in game. (Also one of the best support class too) Pretty sure most people have seen the semi-famous AoN(ithink) video where 2 staff Ele’s, 1 Theif, and an Engie dominate a 4v30 @ a supply camp~

To be honest I’m kinda surprised BG and SoR are trying to recruit more people to their servers. Fights with yall suck (purely from a lag perspective) and I much more enjoy our battles with JQ and FA (even though JQ can get a lil bloby at times too) where skills don’t take a few seconds to go off. Adding more bodies to your megablobs would only make fights with you two more unbearable lol.

In the past I’ve considered moving to BG because I wanted to be in “tier 1”, but now that I got a taste of what the fights are like noooo thank you. I’m happy with TC and not having giant blob masses clashing. We get a few good numbers now and then, but the majority of our teams are pretty tame and don’t cause massive skill lags.

If I were on BG or SoR I’d be trying to transfer out rather than recruit >.<

I concur with this as well. I mean, I don’t understand why anybody would knowingly transfer to either of those servers knowing full well the fights are basically a “spam 1” fest as nothing else will probably work.

I’m curious about que times though for SoR and BG (if any of you can answer), how long do you guys wait on average to get in during NA prime time? On TC, I think the max (not counting reset night), time i’ve had to wait was 20-30 min for EB, and about 15-20 for any of the borderlands. Usually I don’t have a que for the borderlands, and EB on average is about 5 min.

SoR queues are really no different outside of reset night.

I don’t understand why people are talking about how not caring about the PPT as if being flippant about the core mechanic of this game mode were the nobler pursuit of WvW. Isn’t this why you fight harder? Isn’t this why balance among the servers actually matters? If your server’s score isn’t up to par, just laugh it off and say you’ll do better next week. To say it doesn’t matter compared to some random pursuit is dishonest and discredits the entire community.

Definitely, ppt does matter to an extent, but only an extremely small one, to Rallians. SoR simply doesn’t want to ever become past rank 1 servers that got too obsessed getting first. With this obsession, more and more people will become extremely affected, causing the server to have more and more fairweathers. We don’t wish for this to happen. It’s our server’s philosophy. That’s why many Rallians are trying to completely ignore the score and say “I don’t care about ppt”. The score is just a nice bonus for us.

I care about the score to the point of keeping us in a competitive matchup against other players. Beyond that, I could care less. I actually prefer losing as it reduces our queues A LOT and leads to more opponents showing up which drives up the level of difficulty. Queues 4 weeks ago stretched into an hour if not more. My queue was 2 mins the other night.

Unfortunately, ppt means sieging T3 keeps. Fights and sieging T3 keeps are mutually exclusively when it comes to fun fights for a good amount of people.

I really like SoR strategy for this week. They don’t bring that much players into wvw this week to show how overstacked BG is. With that ppt they can talk to guilds which are interested in joining BG or SoR and tell them BG is already stacked enough while they seriously need more people. And if someone asks for JQ or TC they can say “JQ is going down, we got two of their NA guilds that week” or “TC can’t even handle JQ”

The other option is burnout in combination with great weather and holidays.

Pick what fits you better.

YOU DID THIS TO YOURSELVES. Week after week of Waha + SOR SEA vs BG SEA and EMP or SF taking down a gate at garrison just to get out of the way for CHOO or TW to rush in with full supply. Or my favorite, the nightly cap of our keep in EBG while JQ caps and SOR spawn camps.

We reacted and adapted to the BLATENT 2v1, you made fun of us (especially me) for calling you out on. You laughed at our “tears” and our screenshots. You said “its not 2v1, JQ hits you all the time”. Well we responded by tightening up our tactics and most importantly, our cross map/guild communication and teamwork.

Then when the scores got close again (we won twice in a row) you recruited not one, but two HUGE EU guilds from EU servers to stack the zone before NA so they have T3 waypoints every night.

We have done nothing but respond to the pressure you blatantly put on our server.

You created this monster. Deal with the consequences.

JQ recruits to beat SoS. Beats SoS…SBI & SoS goes down, gives SOR the numbers to come up to T1, also gives BG the numbers for T1. JQ wins by 70K every week, BG is the first to recruit in order to beat JQ, DESPITE the fact that JQ was losing some of it’s players(EMP)… WM + RISE + Meow, wins 2 weeks by 30K. As result, SoR recruits IRON, wins 5 weeks.

I wouldn’t exactly say “SoR” caused every server to start stacking.

I didn’t say JUST SoR. Its both. JQ was the first super stacked server after transfers shut off. People thought they would never be beaten. In fact a few servers died because of it.

However, SOR and JQ TOGETHER (I have to capitalize words because some people fail to actually read them) caused this problem.

The score shows how badly we were being double teamed. Look at it RIGHT NOW during the height of NA. BG is ticking at 300 +- 10. Was that even close to happening last week during NA? No, and we didn’t get any new guilds. The SEA has an even higher shift.

The guy who called it an arms race had it right on. The problem is, BG wasn’t playing to survive in Tier 1. We were playing to survive against both of you.

Again, you guys caused this. We just reacted. SORs focus of BG only every day, and JQs willingness to pile on. The pressure has caused us to temper as a server, and the community to pull together.

When we go back to BG-SOR-JQ again, sure the matchups will be closer. But everyone in JQ and everyone in SOR will know deep down that in a 1v1 matchup, BG destroyed you both.

I dive into the T1 threads every once in a while, and I’m amazed that after 5 months straight you are still talking the same crap and having the same arguments.
I think we need to have the courts come in and declare you all married by common law.

I do have a legit question though, what’s going on with SoR? That was a pretty steep drop over the weekend.

We are all still here and playing. BG just didn’t realize the numbers advantage they always had. When they can get their fairweather players to show up, they have a massive WvW population in nearly all time zones. SoR has lost the participation of their smaller fairweather force in the process, thus the discrepancies in scores.

The die hard WvW players on SoR are loving this. 10 minute queue during NA prime is great. Give it a month or so and it will swing back the other way.

We have kites. Many of us at least have kites that is. What we should, as a show of true T1 unification (even though we play forums tough-guys) is select a structure (preferably one that’s paper… SM maybe?), allow a gate to be taken down, then get everyone on the wall flying a kite. Get many pictures of the largest three-way kite fest to every grace the Mists. When done, select a nice open patch of ground and simply have a three-way bag fest for fun.

Earlier on in this thread, some one posted that many in the JQ community were not happy with Waha’s attacks on SOR and not bothering to defend tactics (I cant be bothered to look for it). Now all of a sudden guilds are starting to leave. Is this all related or a seperate issue?

I wouldn’t say it was Waha directly. There are just a lot of philosophical differences between some of the guilds on JQ on how things should be done. That’s my understanding from what I’ve been hearing from JQ players the past few months.

Whatever ATM/FOO are doing are just playing WvW. They are focusing on who they want to focus because end of the day, the position/ranking remains the same, on top of that the RNG involved, you cant hold any position.

Even if they did focus on BG, they will still lose towers/keeps thru EU simply because of lack of coverage. Whatever JQ SEA do now is probably just fighting. No planning involved for next day as they simply do not have the EU/NA coverage. Perhaps to JQ SEA, WvW is a daily thing as everything resets the next day.

To blame an individual on destroying the server is ridiculous though, if you have a cmder which nobody respects, nobody will follow and another more competent commander can rise to the occasion. no?

JQs problems lie much deeper than just one person. This whole waha/ATM/Foo issue is just a speck on the surface of the problems they have. Maybe they will pull through it all, I’m not sure.

Honestly, they don’t need your apologies. For the 700th time, their SEA is just going to do what they want since, y’know, whatever they do gets wiped over in EU anyway. They still come out for JQ every single day and go full force. The JQ posters, besides the Kryyg downer, have already came in here and said how much they appreciate him.

Those that are “happy” or “ok” with this are in the minority. Given 2-3 weeks, I don’t think JQ will be having matches with us any longer as many are looking elsewhere already.
