All I can say is that atm I use 8120 8 Core, I get 60 FPS maxing out Battlefield 3, Team Fortress 2, Witcher 2…..but I only get about 12 fps in Guild Wars 2
And what´s your other hardware ? Because i have 50 – 100 usually, pvp a bit lower though. And like i said, you need to OC the hell out of the FX to see its power, which im sure you didn’t.
I got very good hardware, BF3 on ultra constantly gives 50-80fps. And thats an insane demanding engine I hope you agree!
This game however, constantly drops down to 15-20 and goes up to 100+. I was fiddling with settings, turned down AA, and LOD view distance too, that didn’t help either, so I have to say that the engine BADLY need a fix.
My Spec: Intel i920 @ 3.7Ghz, Ati HD6990 (O’clocked), 6GB 1866Mhz DDR3 Ram, SB Xfi surround Pro 5.1, 24" Dell HD tft 1920*1200… So no my pc is (still) high-end.
People need to stop comparing BF3 with this game,BF3 is NOT an mmo,Different engine, and FPS.Seriously people need to stop saying this, its irrelevant.IF you want to compare then start comparing other mmo´s like FF or Tera or whatever.
i dont want to reinstall my drivers…
my drivers are fine (or it has to be fine)… everything else works like a charm…
Really ?!? " I Lag..but but..i dont want to do anything about it and uninstalling drivers is SOoooo much work and it takes forever and i rather much complain about my low fps then try to take advice from people "
If you own an nVidia GPU. GW2 is not the game for you

THeres something wrong with the Reflections setting it seem, enabling it gives a small fps loss, thats not the main problem, but the game suddenly stutters while my fps maybe only dropped by 3 fps with enabling reflections on ALL,it’s feels weird so i rather disable reflections all together and then my game feels smoother, while basically having the same fps.I can even use supersample if i disable reflections ( you wont even notice that reflections is disabled btw, normal reflections still work ). I really really think arenanet still needs to optimize the crap out of this game, plus some support from nvidia would sure fix this to allow us with higher end systems to finally take benefit from this.

I didn’t know GW2 is extremely CPU intensive.
I’ve reset my CPU back to stock and I lose a lot of FPS with it. It’s an Intel 3930K Sandy Bridge-E 8 cores 16 HT.
Ha Ha Ha, you mean 6core/12threads…. Yes GW2 is very cpu intensive.
Also SLi is working very well.
Sli is not working well at all,ive played more Cpu bound games ,but enabling sli would Always gave me huge fps hit no matter what settings. In guild wars putting the settings to low wont even change the fps that much, enabling SLI wont give me more then 5fps boost maybe.SLI is absolutely Not working as intended, and nividia needs to release a better profile for it.
“I have read over a hundred times now that game is crashing for everyone in 2-10 minutes time span while playing, causing they’r PC’s CTD and needing to hard restart”
I don’t think this statement is correct.Tbh i have never crashed yet,not a single time, wich makes me wonder if the problem doesn’t lie in faulty hardware in your system, don’t rule out that possibility. And if you’re gonna post error codes, make sure you Do post them correct, not 0005something…we can’t do anything with that.
All you people that say bulldozer suck,Sorry but you couldnt be more wrong.Im running the game on a 8120,not even a 8150,have it oc\d to 4.6 and i have yet to see my fps drop lower then 40,max is well over 100. 2x GTX 560ti aswell, but their barely being touched, hoping nvidia will fix the issue of sli usage problem for this game,or its on arenanets side,no idea, but i know my cards can do better though.Anyway the Fx serie is seriously not a bad cpu, underrated. At stock i agree it kinda blows and not worth its money, this cpu will only start to shine when oc’d to atleast 4.4,you’re all set then.
