No,the game needs these things,it make the game feel more alive.All they need to do is adjust the distance from where the sound can be heard,and maybe delay it a bit longer, instead of looping it so fast.

I thought ive read something about everyone having the same speed buff % and nobody can possibly run faster then you by having a “Better” speed buff,i think 33% is max for a speed buff ?

More classes that can use axe ? Like..a thief with axes ? No thanks..a mesmer with axes ? Ehm…Wich class would you even like to see with axes ? Imo melee weapons should stay for melee classes only and they should Fit the class,hence we dont see warriors running around with double daggers like a thief…same as axes are for warriors only,period.Talking bout axes…We need a 2h Axe with a new skillset..

Sounds fun,also provides for new mats,new ingredients possibly,being able to now and then fish up a treasure or occasionally catching an aggressive fish that will pull you in the water and attacks you.

There would be like hundreds of people in one dungeon doing it over and over just zerging through.

Why ? it says After a certain point,i think this is the point where you reach max difficulty after having it done several times and enter the most difficult version of the dungeon where you need to be infused if you don’t want to die ( being infused does not have an impact on the rest of the game for now),like in gw1 with that mursaat mission if im correct, just a tad different.Being infused in gw1 only was for that missions and did not surve any purpose in the rest of the game.

What in the hell…why do i never see something like this

I didn’t really hate him or anything,i think the character itself Looks good,but his voice is uninspiring and boring.Imagine him doing the Braveheart charge speech,i think the men would fall asleep from boredom or just switch sides to the enemy to be able to make him shut the hell up.Besides..it feels like he stole my role in playing a bigger part in saving Tyria then i did,eventhough it was me that did all the fighting and it was him that made the enemys fall asleep with his " inspiring words ".

Yeah this is actually something that NEEDS to be adressed,i havent been able to get to the temples at all in Orr,except one or two maybe,since they are alwaaaays contested when i am about to play.

This would be both practical for combat and add more aesthetic preference. Would be nice to see some option here. Would pay 20 dollars or so for a new voice set.

Yeah i know thanks,but i dont think its very convenient for this game though,and in the time i need to Hold down a button for it to activate the second skill,ive could have used 3 skills in the same time while using a keyboard + mouse.Like i said it can be nice for playing pve when your being lazy and wanna hang on the couch infront of the big tv,but for normal,fast paced play or pvp its reallly a pain to be using and way to slow ( especially turning the cam around ).

Keep post processing enabled since you are now in one area,but this effects the entire game,in a bad way,removing a great deal of beauty in alot of areas,you do not want to disable this unless you want to make your game uglier.You need SweetFX to sharpen the image ,disable FXAA ( Known for blurrying the image ) And enable SMAA,is no washed out screen,and no more blur.

Remove double tapping and put roll on a seperate key,its easier to use and easier to control wich way it is that you’re going to roll.

Their already planning to add a custom dye system in spvp.

I just rolled one last weekend (now at 8 professions). I’m now at level 33 still face palming anything around me. Axe+Shield and just the Warhorn in offhand on my second weapon set. Traits went mostly into toughness and precision so far.

The Healing signet (regen) is just insanely good.
I just went through a level 36 story line step with the vigil (at 33) and wasn’t even close to be downed.

Don’t try this on light armor classes …

So just because you are able to do this,havent even maxed out warrior,its an OP class..? Come on now..I think warrior is nothing close to being OP if you ask me,especially in pvp they lack a few important things.

Just try it out,theres nothing to lose,only to gain.You cannot lose points or items due to dying,it really really deoesn’t matter,but some peoples ego will stand in the way trying to escape and unable to accept a defeat.

Your settings are so weird…Just put everything on highest settings possible,DISABLE reflections,DISABLE VSYNC ( it just does not work well with gw2 ) Supersampling at NATIVE,Enable texture filtering..+ high res.And now..play the game.

Yeah you just need to unplug your mouse,voila..no more mouse movement.

Agree,i would like to see a different key for looting / talking to npc’s. It can be very annoying to constantly seeing the textbubble while picking up loot + fighting.

He means that in order to make the verticalfov line work,you need to make a shortcut from the GW2.exe first.Rightclick on GW2.exe,select send to Desktop ( create shortcut ) , now use that shortcut to add the fov line.

In gw1 i was occasionally running around with a witches hat,or whatever event item ( dragon mask ! ) since you could just keep the rest of your armor equipped.In this game,i havent used the witches hat once since it changes my whole look,wich i do not like at all.Simply allowing us to use these kinds of hats/masks/glassess while keeping our current armor would be more interesting.

spvp need to get more interesting,and they need to come one with some bettter rewards than 4k points for One chest..it’s an absurd and insulting rewrad tbh,while the cheapest chest costs 200 and the most expensive cost 1000 points,then why in the hell..are we getting 1 chest as a reward for leveling up with 4000 points ? Shouldn’t that equal to atleast 4 boxes ? The 1 Box reward is just terrible,is anyone here actually Happy when you leveled up the next rank and get another…chest ? is there anything at all besides playing a few rounds for fun that would make you keep playing spvp over and over and over as it is now..? increasing/changing the rewards would help with this,make it interesting,im not asking for a kitten legendary or anything.

We need an Barbershop in this game,being able to change your hair for a few silver,same goes for the Tattoos.Other than that,I also think it’s near time for the Black Lion Company to introduce us a Make Over ticket or some sort to change the looks of your character.

It worked in gw1,since it was an instance based game where it could be incredibly hard to find a party,espec at later dates.This game is different,it’s not needed here.

AMD’s single core speed isn’t up to par with INTEL’s and people have come to believe GW2 isn’t optimized for AMD, but it looks like its Windows 7 that isn’t optimized and not totally GW2’s fault.

I have no problems running this game with an AMD cpu Fyi,ive seen people with intels getting way worse performance than i ever had.

It is higly likely the ‘noise’ is the gpu fan as gpu fans tend ot be alot more noisy than cpu fans. Not only that his CPU is stock ..and a sandybridge.. they dont tend to get very hot unless you have a catastrophic cooling failure.
His GPU is a factory OC’d version aswell ..meaning it likely runs hot under high load.

Bassicaly all pointers in his post point towards GPU heat ..not cpu. Then we simply advised him to OC his CPU becouse its a K version which are designed to be OC’d. In many peoples views (profesional ppl aswell) a K series intel chip that isnt OC’d to some degree ..is a waste..you might aswell have bought a non k verison for a cheaper price if u wernt going to OC.

As for not knowing how to do it ..research! ..i was out of the OC’ing loop for years ..my latest upgrade to my system in my sig required me to do extensive research on how to OC again ..since things had changed since i last tried it over 8 years ago. Anyone can OC ..so long as u read up on it.

Ocing just isnt for everyone,i just meant that he hears his pc getting louder but has no idea why it happens or what might be the cause.I think that alone would be enough to not advice anything dangerous as Ocing.Wich i might add,Does help alot with improving performance,but it just isnt for everyone to even start bothering with.I personally always oc btw,i love to do it actually,but i also know the dangers wich some people really don’t.

Why are some of you telling him to OC when he just says his fans starts to spin like crazy,dont even know what fans he’s talking about,might be his cpu…So thats a sign something in his pc is getting already kitten hot,and then advicing him to overclock ( wich again,increases heat alot) is imo not the smartest thing to do.How about letting him post some temps here before advicing people to oc their cpu’s while its pretty obvious the guy doesnt have a clue onw how to even manage that without breaking his system.

Far shiverpeaks is pretty packed actually,some areas are a little less populated then others,but nothing major as you guys aredescribing.I still see loads of people everywhere i go.

I just really really hope they will make pvp more interesting,more diversity in maps and tbh i think the 4k ranking points needed to level is a bit too high,and if it doesn’t change atleast change the reward.I mean 4k points basically for one chest is just absurd.

Actually changing shadows does zip for me personally,Unless i set it to Ultra wich in return i get alot of crazy stuttering and my fps drops alot,i have it at high.And the difference for me from minimal to high are not noticable.The only real fps kicker is reflections and supersample,reflections turned off and sample at native.It differs for every system really.

Strange, you already tried this possibly but, alt + tabing out and back when this happens doesn’t change your fps back to normal ? Maybe it’s your gpu downclocking,try ocing it with just 10mhz.

Btw if you’re not already having this,set Power management mode in Nvcpl to prefer Max perf.

Hey all,ive been using the tweak guide from Von Dach since he made the post over at the steam forums some years ago.There are some tweaks in his guide that got me incredible positive results and ive been using them ever since.I just want to post the guide to see if people find it just as usefull.

Be sure to read the Entire guide first and see what should be a usefull tweak for you to change, do not change and tweak everything at once because when something messes up you don’t know what setting it is that caused it.Best is to use one tweak at a time and see the results you’re getting.This will provide to be very usefull for alot of people.

The tweaks that worked best for me was using Process Lasso ( awesome prog ),disabling HPET and using Timer Resolution thats making my Current timer resolution to 0.488 from 7.3 with having HPET disabled and Not using timer resolution,and with HPET enabled its 15.625 ( Dpc latency dropped massively, and this creates Less stuttering in games and media playback etc ).Disabling flow control + disabling nagle"s algorithm. can help stabilize your ping.Also disabling the networkthrottlingindex, and boosting multimedia class schedular service provided an performance increase ( in all games ). Read it try it ,surprise yourself.

One more thing i forgot to mention for people who have Win8 ( i have Win7 ) and want to disable HPET,ive read the following from a poster claiming..

“One important thing is disabling HPET is not always the best thing, on Windows 8 I get huge DPC spikes with it disabled. Maybe it’s related to my hardware, or Windows 8, but I don’t know. (I recommend LatencyMon instead of DPC Latency Checker. the latter doesn’t work right in Win 8 )”

So make sure to check your DPC after you have disabled HPET in order to see if it gives you a positive or negative results >DPC should not spike and the lower is better.

If you go to Orr just take 2 or 3 friends with you,more fun and easier offc.It’s just an annoying place to be wandering around solo.

I have no problem with the game but i installed the latest 310.33 beta yesterday and i noticed alot of stuettering.fps was higher in some areas but begane to stutter and get lower in some others ,it didn’t make sense.Going back to 306.97 made my fps normal again.
