The patching is just insane imo,theres no downtime ever.I know from other mmo’s who like to have a 3hour maintenance,or introduce a new patch and shut down the servers for a couple of hours.The way Anet does this and keep the servers up and you basically only need to restart your game client to download the patch is incredible imo.

I got nothing against AMD, its just GW2’s average trend with AMD is that they dont run very well. Yes OC’ing wil help, but you get much better performance out of Intel.

I can say the same about Intel,i can seriously copy about 10+ threads about people with intels having bad performance,yet i cannot find 10threads of people with AMDs having bad perf,yes offc there are some here,but those are mostly the low range amd cpu’s.Like i said,AMD cpu’s are fine for runing this game maxed out.And i seriously dont need to oc my cpu to 4.8 to get reasonable perf,it runs fine at even 4.0 or 4.2,i just always have it running at 4.8.

2 reasons

1) You cpu is slow clock speed wise for a AMD and only has 2 cores.
2) Your cpu is AMD, and GW2 has issue with ‘most’ AMD cpu’s

Can you stop that Drop AMD and go for INTEL attitude now ? i’m playing just fine maxed out in wvwvw with my fx 8120,oc at 4.8,lowest fps in wvwvw is around 29,everywhere else pve wise is around 70 – 120+. Ive seen more posts from intel users claiming bad perf then amd tbh,but your kinda trying to force down intel down everybody’s throat.And every thread you see about people wth low fps,your first comment is Buy intel.Sorry but its a pretty silly comment to be making at all.

I’d prefer a normal box too. It seems that you can’t use the “compact” feature on these fractal boxes. The items inside don’t move when you compact your inventory.

Thats actually great,i layed down this idea some time ago,it annoyed me that i couldnt “lock” an inventory bag and when sorting and despositing/compacting id like to see the things ive sorted to Stay in that current inventory slot and not switch around all the time.

It’s not his connection, I have a 38down/5up connection (stinger is right behind my back fence) and have had consistently bad fps since the Lost Shores update (talking below 10 fps)

It’s getting really tiresome now not being able to get back in your party when you crashed.I honestly wouldn’t mind the crash at all,if i were just able to get back with my group in the dungeon at the same location i crashed.This is something that makes me stop playing everytime.Im having fun,spending an hour in fract with a nice group,crash at endboss,Game over.It really frustrates me at this point,and it happens so often that i or another one of my party crashes in a dungeon that soon after i just quit and go play something else.Please make this a top priority fix.

No,you can use it,it doesnt touch the gw2 client in any way at all.It puts your PC in a “boost” state..simply deactivating unnecessary background processes,nothing more.

No,shouldn’t be removed.People should just learn to understand when or when not to use it and have a main armor set and a MF armor set.

Everyone is wearing magic find gear to dungeons to increase their rewards, I’m not sure how or why the developers thought this would be a good idea.

I think there should be a cap to the amount of magic find you can benefit from and make that mark very low so people aren’t wearing FULL magic find gear to dungeons.

You should also adjust the booster to make the player reach that magic find cap (more gem store purchases for you guys?)… and then remove the magic find from guild perks and all other avenues.

I think MF is an awesome attribute,it gives players a small chance of having better loot.In other mmo’s its Always the 0000000.1% chance to drop factor,here you can atleast make the decision for yourself to increase your “luck”.I only think that you should wear MF in a dungeon,if youve already done it and know what to do and what to expect.

If so,then why arent the forums right now,filled with complaints about latency lag ? You guys are the only two as of now.I really hate to say it,but again take a look at your ISP,connection.I had the same when i was playing Aion,amongst others,and had terrible latency prob ( also claiming it was not my router,nor my modem,but it was Aion thats the culprit ) till i realized i was very wrong.My ISP was to blame,i switched ISP and havent had a single latency issue since i dumped my old ISP ( well to be completely honest i did had the same latency lag like everyone else on the event ). But thats it,and currently also running the game just fine with no delays or any latency lag at all.2 Pc’s here on network playing at same time,right now im not playing but my girl is ,and she also does not have any latency probs like you describe.

Ok..so you’re stuck,you Know you can get out by teleporting.yet you refuse to do this,you reboot the game,reboot your pc,then make a post on the forums.While you know you could have already been out…but won’t do it because the waypoint is too costy ? Dont you think this sounds a bit……I would suggest to use the waypoint right now,and make a bug report on where you got stuck and how it happend so they can possibly fix it in the future

Yeah ive only been twice to the asuran capital,while its beautiflly designed theres just nothing to do that makes me want to go back,except the fact that im enjoying the scenery.Same goes for all major cities.There needs to be something for people to go back to! dont let these places be deserted please.

In the past 15 minutes since I posted this message, the cost of ectos has gone up to 29s each now. People are playing the markets out of pure greed and screwing over the rest. At launch, salvaging rare/exotic level 70+ gear almost always netted you ectos, now its quite possible to salvage 5 exotics in a row and don’t get any, and thats using a BL kit.

Tell me an mmo where people arent greedy ? Just one.

Whats your cpu and gpu temps running at? If they are getting to hot they will start to throttle back…

If they are getting hot then his performance should stay low,but his perf gets up again,so its not temp.Prob it’s throttling back your gpu,or cpu even.Heat is not always the cause.

well…GW2 doesn’t heave the best graphics out there…but by far the best in any mmorpg
and since mmo’s tend to be very demanding on your system, because alot stuff happens graphic-wise in-game very randomly, thanks to other players (not to mention, more players online – more stress to the game’s server), put “mmo” and “awesome graphics” together for some nice PC-BBQ

You should check out tera online. Graphics are MUCH better then guilds wars and even harder to run

Graphics are Def Not better,cheap use of the U3 engine if you ask me honestly.And Tera runs much better on my pc then gw2 does btw.Only thing is i havent played tera in months,horrible game.

Coil whine does not cause any problems at all besides giving off an annoying sound.People RMAing because of this…welll,lets just say Dont.Coil whine does not hurt your gpu whatsoever.Changing vcore and core clock may help get rid of the sound,if its really an annoyance to you,just check up on how to first.

By the way,make sure its not your PSU you’re actually hearing.

No,this won’t be possible since your story is bound to the race you have picked.Lets say you level up to 40,want another race,all your progress would be deleted and you as 40 would have to go back to lvl1 area to start that story quest for the appropiate race.I think this will be abused by people somehow. Norn getting norn armor,decides not wanting to be norn again,what will happen with the Norn armor ? Will he keep it ? will it get destroyed ? Will he be able to exploit this system and get All race specific armors in this way ? or will he simply be unable to wear them now ? besides there are more problems that can arise from this. These are things you are forgetting.

I;m not sure about this..If i wield for instance sword main hand + mace in off , have sigil of quickness on sword and something entirely different on offhand,its getting obvious for me that quickness activates much more , since autoattack only uses mainhand weap,and my other sigil really only gets activated if i start using skill 4 – 5.

Some people get off with acting like a jerk on global map chat for some strange reason.Just know that they are prob kids,or atleast acting like them.Ignore it,you know their in Every mmo,atleast its not 90% of the playerbase thats acting like this,as ive seen in other mmo’s.These people get an instant block by me,i wont discuss with them,i wont talk with them,i wont read the crap their spouting,instant block and done.

That’s an issue with your mouse left clicker,there are some youtube vids explaining how to fix it ( can be a pain ).Just youtube for Razer left click.

I don’t feel it has a place or is needed in GW2

As of now,the easier zones are way too easy,there is no contest,even when being down leveld,it has no serious impact on me and i can one – two hit kill everything on my path.Doing events in these zones is a bore and i usually dont do them,so im not returning to Alot of maps because its just to easy to be wandering around.Hard mode maps would be a nice feature to make these maps a bit more interesting ,getting better loot for lvl 80’s,gives players the chance to keep on enjoying the Entire map and not just the 70 – 80 zones.I think it has just like in gw1 a great place in this game.

Great random overclock advice without even bothering to read his dxdiag….. Gw2 crashes with an ntdll.exe error,radeonpro.exe same,flashplayer crashes also alot.Repair your windows installation,revert back to a previous time or do a complete reinstall of windows.

Never liked wow,played it for about week and stopped,i just didn’t like a single thing about it,especially not the art style and graphics being used.I cannot understand why this game is so popular,besides being hyped to death and people being thrown dead with wow commercials.it’s the only mmo ive ever seen a commercial from on tv btw,hype hype hype and the sheep will buy.

I’m also not a big fan of this new dungeon, mostly because I haven’t been able to try it yet. I primarily play during the very late-night hours. There aren’t many people on. And there are NO people who want to do the level 1 part of the dungeon. So I haven’t been able to go in yet, and of course as more time passes my chances of getting to do level 1 shrink further, to the point that I’ve basically written off any notion of getting to do that dungeon at all.

Not being able to enter a dungeon because of your work/home situation can hardly be blamed on arenanet.The dungeon is open 24/7 and i still see loads of people asking for levels ranging from 1 – 15.

Explode in anger in your head the next time.I do get frustrated at times,but whats the point in getting all angry about it At that player ? he she is obviously trying..Not everyone is “pro”,some are pretty casual gamers just wanting to have some fun.When someone ingame is raging in anger over something,is imo pretty lame,there are worse things to worry about.A game should be fun,and a person shouldnt have to worry about letting someone rage in anger towards them for messing something up and possibly wont ever try that dungeon again

things were great before this weeks patch.

They implemented one ( Awesome,may i add ) dungeon where it becomes necessary to when you have reached level 10+ ? have gear with agony resist,otherwise you wont be able to make it,and you have to grind for it ..alot.Its one dungeon,should we really all cry about this ? You can still do 10lvls,you can still gain enough fracts to buy the other items while doing 1 – 10,and you are Not forced to go any higher if you dont want the legendary weap or if you dont want to grind + craft and spend an insane amount of gold.This dungeon is for the people that Are willing to do so.If you don’t then just don’t,i think its pretty simple.

Indeed,great music in a game does So much.And tbh im not much of a fan of most music i hear ( too much violins ),some do sound nice,but battle fights,boss battles,i find them rather annoying. I really suggest to try it out and put in some music from other games for instance,or whatever you like.

I would still look if theres anything on your pc that might cause this,or do a driver reinstall perhaps,i highly doubt the gw2client is responsible for this.

That is no latency lag,this is fps lag nothing to do with your connection,but with your hardware.If you think im wrong,open the options menu and tell me your fps,im saying its 1 – 2fps.

So I have a warrior level 34 and am currently playing sword/shield I like the block mechanic by the shield allowing me to soak a little damage. I’m playing a precision warrior and am wanting my stats to look somewhat like 20-30-10-10 at level 80. My question is for dungeons and the such is a banner warrior really even that useful or is a shout warrior better? I use banner of defense and banner of discipline along so I get +toughness +vitality +precision and +critical damage %. Is this any good or even useful in dungeons or is shout warriors the way to go with FoJ, OMM and such.

oh and also is healing signet or mending a better heal for warriors? I use healing signet because with signet of rage and one other I get +120 precision from the trait. Is this worth it or no.

Rarely use banners at all,unless its absolutely necessary then ill grab the elite one.Other then that its a hassle,its slow,you need to stay close,you need to bring it with you,the cd is Waaaay to long.Like i said,unless its absolutely necessary,i wouldn’t bother.

The server population is getting ridiculously low. I’m sitting alone on the map. I mean no problem in the lower zones, but places like Orr and Malchor’s leap its pretty much impossible to get anything done.

Almost all the waypoints are contested. I managed to get all the waypoints near the temples, but clearing them with no players is impossible. This game really doesn’t work when nobody is playing with you.

I tried transfering servers but the new one wasn’t better than the one I left. You guys really need a fix for this. Perhaps automatic server merges when the population dips too low? I saw someone suggest underflow servers. Not a bad idea. Clearly something needs to be done.

There are enough people,most people are just doing their own thing,like some people aftually fire up guild wars 2 to Play,instead of having a 3hour long chat on a random map.

Well I spent about $700 since launch until I got wind of these changes. Anet, NCSoft, and this Nexon will never get another cent from me!

I wonder if their new playerbase will be as generous with their cash as I was. I went out of my way to buy gems as I supported the lies they sold me in their manifesto and wanted a game along those lines to play for seven years or more like I did the original Guild Wars game.

1. Diminishing returns; play in a zone for more than 1 hour and drop rates there become greys. Leave the game for an hour come back and get good drops again. This also applies to WvW; what the ? If this was a mechanic to punish bots, it also punishes regular players too.

Also an action against botters farming days in the same area

2. Jumping puzzles; whoever thought of making this a mandatory mechanic was a sadistic soul; getting their jollies off watching us FAIL over and over and over again.

I find them very fun and havent come across one i havent been able to do

3. Just to add another little sadistic kick to this; MAKE HALF MY SKILLS THAT ARE WORTH HAVING CAUSE ME TO LEAP OFF OF PLATFORMS IM FIGHTING ON!!! Dodge the mob attacking you? Over you go! Bottom of the cliff for you!

Dont dodge on ledges into the depths of hell ?

4. Putting nodes in impossible to reach places; a lone farmer vs 50 mobs in the node areas. This further reinforces the idea that the staff must not like gamers.

Kill the mobs and get the node

5. Fractals are a grindfest the likes of which we have not seen since EverQuest 1.

Fractals are a nice addition to guild wars,i really like doing the maps,especially the one with the statue,havent done such an awesome mission in a longtime in any mmo and ..its Free content

6. Add in the fact that IF 1 person happens to drop from your group during a fractal… you CANNOT get another person to come, but instead must finish AS IS… or start over.

This is just a bug,will be resolved,like other bugs

7. Legendaries; the grind from beyond.

Not something you NEED to get,its optional,dont like the grind,then its simple,its not for you and you shouldnt go for it.
