q tip ? Whatever ( you know those little things to clean your ears with ,sorry if im not using the correct english word ). And SOFTLY clean out the lens of your naga,blowing in it may also help.If dirt,dust collects there,you get the problem you have right now ,stopping to go left,or right etc.This will make your mouse feel soo smooth again.
PS:i had a friend almost throw away his naga because he thought it was broken,Then i said this trick and it cured the problem.
Also make sure you keep your mousepad nice and clean so this wont happen to often.
I have seen this claim in a number of threads, and I see people claiming this in chat on the game as well, and if it frustrates me I can only imagine how it must frustrate the hell out of the writers.
People, if you’re looking for story, please take the time to actually stop and listen to what the NPCs are saying around you. Many dynamic events are lead into by conversations, event chains are linked together as conversations after one event continue to follow their story into the next, and so on. Even if you come into an event part way through, you can hang out and listen to the NPCs to see what they have to say about it afterwords – unless it’s the last event in a chain, there is usually some exposition going on.
There is story happening everywhere in this game, if you’d just slow down and listen to it.
They dont,they rush through it and when the event ends their gone before you know it,while the follow up is just about to begin.People are rushing through this game,only to complain when they finally reached lvl 80,how boring gw2 is,and how bad the events are etc etc yada yada yadaaa.
Loot & drop rate will be adressed,i’m sure of it.And when a dungeon is this hard,imo you MUST get an item for your class.Dont turn this into another aion where you have to do 50 runs to get one item you want..please..dear..kitten..god..no..
If they could work Dwarves back into the setting, I’d like that – especially if they then gave them a hand to hand combat class. (one of my favorite things in GWEN was the drunken brawl mini game)
Dwarven would be a nice addition indeed.I wouldnt like to see any “creatures” though,no quaggans,tengus etc..i dont think it would really fit.
Actually it isnt better..in this case i wish they took Physx.Havok is whats making alot of problems in this game since its using the CPU,instead of the gpu.Imo if this game was using Physx instead of havok,it would have run ( for nvidia users atleast ) a hell of a lot better then it does now for most people.
This is what you get for rushing through a game,im still on first char enjoying everything and taking in every area i come in.And am still Far from 100% completion,and am still only 58,played from day one.
every system is different buddy,just because your friends cpu has such a low fps doesnt mean others have the same.Mobo,ram,gpu,psu,all important parts its not about the cpu alone.I get almost double the fps your friend has btw.
Cancel that order and get an i5 at least. AMD processors are garbage for gaming and you’ll pretty much get exactly the same performance, if not worse on that FX chip.
Fx 8120@ 4.8,runs this game great,in fact better then most people with an i5 or even i6 i see here on the forum.In all reality you shouldnt just pass info youve read somewhere else,judge from real life experience.

And I can tell you from that experience that no, they don’t. AMD chips are terrible at gaming, as demonstrated in practically any benchmark for any game. This is also demonstrated by the ridiculously high overclock that you’ve put on the CPU in order for the game to run well.
Besides that, I have no idea what an “i6” processor is.
Was a typo,meant 2600k,or i7 even.What dont you understand from what im saying btw ? I own a fx 8120 and never seen my fps drop below 26 in heavy wvwvw fights,settings maxed,that alone should be enough for you to recognize the fact how wrong you are.The game runs well on a lower oc aswell,im just crazy for ocing and trying to get the highest possible,hence i took this cpu since they are known for getting insane ly high oc’s.

Google… ? I just googled the error you got and got tons of results,from driver problems to windows update problem to a directx problem or in the worst case scenario..a dying gpu.
I would suggest a total remove of ALL current drivers installed.That is mobo,sound,internet,gpu,and everything else that needs a driver to function properly. Get driversweeper,first uninstall everything,reboot in between,as last use driversweeper to remove any left over registry keys,reboot again.And then install all the latest versions for all hardware that needs a driver to function properly,and again dont forget to reboot after every install,mobo,reboot,internet,reboot,sound,reboot,gpu,reboot.
Yes,this really needs to be removed,i really dont like how my char looks in red/blue.Its not needed,the big red bar above people’s head is enough to tell whos friend or foe,the same in WvwvW right ? I mean,we can see whos enemy or friend there..do you really think we’ll get confused in pvp matches if the blue/red is removed ?.

I wish we could select our own sizes independently instead of the size hightener/shortener we can use right now.Norns looks awesome,no doubt,but being able to completely make out his height,thickness would be a really great addition to character creations,and in making people look even more different.
Ive also noticed this,especially when wearing certain types of shield,my arms clip through and back clips thorugh,such a shame because it looks so ugly and im not running around with a shield clipping through my body,i just cant stand to watch this constantly.The same for axes swords,hell…alot of weapons clip through.Think theres not much they can do about it though.
You havnt seen much armor im guessing,i thought the same when i was low lvl,but now..I cant stop looking at my char.Armors in this game are seriously awesome.
install windows 7 pro 64 bit(your serial key should be compatible). You are currently using only 3gb of your current 4 GB memory.
Also it would not hurt to upgrade your Memory to 8gb instead of 4.

Buddy,its commen knowledge to have 64bit installed when having 4gb+.Everyone should drop 32bit imo.
You’re cpu is holding your back.Playing with 3 monitors at the same time ? try to set it to one screen and see how it fares.just because people say its related to gw2, ( wich it also kinda is ) Doesnt mean that if they will ever optimize this game any better,your fps will shoot up to 50 – 100.You will continue to be playing with an fps of around what you have right now with your current hardware.
Btw: Final Fantasy XIV ULTRA,no lag ? I hiiiiiighly doubt this,i also play FFXIV still once in a while,Far more intensive then Gw2 to be honest.
Had something similar happen to me a few days back, but the sound was more like an alarm that went on an off in 1-2 seconds intervals. Suddenly all sound from the game was gone and replaced by that sound. Checked the windows sound panel and saw it was the GW2 application that was making the sound, so i just muted that and turned on some music instead. And the next time i restarted the game client the sound was back to normal, haven’t happened again, at least not yet.
So i guess probably some sort of weird bug with the sound programming in the game maybe? Or some sort of conflict between the game and creative drivers/cards? As i got a Creative X-FI Titanium HD.
I also had this happening,only once though,and when wearing headphones…this seriously hurts your ears when it pops in.
Do not use this, the flag has already been set for “App can handle >2gb adress space”, This is the same as the OP describes,but its not necessary since the gw2 engine already has the flag set to this.

For the rest,i know its just you opinion,but i disagree with all.this game is a huge step forward for mmo’s,and the most interesting game i played in a long time,and will continue playig for a long time.The first mmo in wich im actually interested in the story aswell.
I care about how i feel about a game,not how much it sales or how much its getting hyped in reviews.I never liked wow and always liked gw1 more.Played wow for a month,and gw1 for many years.And gw2 on the otherhand is again,imo a hell of a lot better then wow.
Been discussed to death many many many times already. ANet said it’s not happening. Mounts would screw the whole way point system, it’s there for a reason. There is no reason to add mounts whatsoever, other than extra bling, it’s not needed.
False, I read an article and Anet said that though there are no mounts in game at the current time that it might be something they will look into in the future.
let’s not forget the if Anet wants to have a successful game they WILL have to listen to what the players want.

In BWE2 I had nice FPS of roughly 60-80. In BWE3 it dropped to 30-40. And now it stays between 20-50. The same hardware, nothing changed.
People need to get out of that illusion that client system is responsible for everything.
He was only trying to help you know….repairing client Can help,infact i had 2 crashes some days ago.After starting the game up my fps seemed lower,after that i had another crash.I then repaired my client,fps is back to normal.
I’m currently using Taugrim’s build for PVP and was wondering if Rifle was viable in PVE? If so, what build would work for PVE and dungeons? What specific gear stats would I go for, Power or Precision? Thanks
I always have rifle eq in pve,it cripples,gives vulnerability and you can knock back,then you can switch weap and finish it off.Using power – fury-frenzy makes it really easy.
Is it “wrong” for me to go ranged against tough mobs when in a group/dungeon? If I do this, will I not be fulfilling my role as a…tank? I simply find it more fun than melee.

I remember when playing GW1 when you drank alot of ale your char started to behave differently,starts walking and scream random things.Now ive taken some ales already but saw nothing of this happening except the whobbly screen offc.Are there some ales that do make your char behave differently,say things or give a different effect ? It would be so hilarious to hear your char in this game scream,I LOVE YOU MAN !! or, IM THE KING OF THE WORLD !!!!! Like in guild wars 1.
I can relate to this,there are loads of people playing that just are not into pvp or arent very good at it and rather just pve,craft etc etc and forcing them to go into a “pvp” map to complete their “pve” achievement is rather strange.They could seperate the wvwv from the pve aspect and make the wvw a seperate 100% acvhievement completion.
You know that this weapon is completely optional, right? Those legendaries are in the game to reward gamers who really love to spend all their time in the game.
That shouldn’t mean that players who would also like to have an item like this can never obtain it due to not being able to play 24/7.
The only diff is probably they are now digitally signed by MS,i think the rest is till pretty much the same.But im gonna try them out later tonight though just for the sake of it.
I tried changing the options to my sound card, instead of having it on default. It sort of works, but not completely. The music starts to play, but at a certain point, like when I select a character to play, or zone from one map to another, the sound starts rattling, as if the game were to crash.
It could be related to the latency option,i also have some weird sound problems at times like effects not being heard but music continuing etc,im just not quite sure what the mixing buffer size’s recommended setting would be and what it exactly does.

Because Amd blows for gw2 ? So wrong…Fx 8120 @ 4.6,and No problems whatsoever except my Sli not working properly,other then that what im seeing from the forums i have higher and more stable fps then alot of people with intels that claim to be high end yet run the game like crap.
Your awesome 8120 still doesn’t beat a 1055T@4Ghz which still blows hardcore for GW2 & pretty much gaming in general. How does that make you feel?

It beats my friends 2600k@stock in gaming ,i do have to oc it to 4.6.I wasnt saying it to impress anyone,i was saying it because alot of people dont talk from experience but rather from what other people say or from what they read and mindlessly pass that info to other people .I know what this cpu is capable off,and its alot more then what people think.
It’d be cool to have a LEAVE button in pvp which would make you leave the pvp chain at the end of the match instead of being nonstop, I mean, do I have to always logout/switch character in order to get out of it?
No,it worked in gw1 since it was instance based but it wouldnt be great to have it here since many people start using it and work less together,and it would be exploited aswell,being afk letting the heros kill mobs.And when looking for a guild be sure to join a Pve – pvp guild,not pvp only,and be sure that you get help with the missions needed before even considering joining,ask what their priorities are before joining.
And indeed,i’m Positive it’s just collecting dust,i have the same as the OP describes from time to time.
