RTL wasn’t nerfed for balance. It was nerfed to shut up the circle humping whiners in sPvP.
This is ANet. Making logical arguments and trying to discuss things with them rationally doesn’t work. Just pull out your binky and let the tears flow. It’s the only way you’ll ever see changes from this company. You’re going to have to cry an extra large river though, because thieves are warriors are still bawling their eyes out because they can’t auto attack everyone to death while AFK.

SBI needs to transfer back to Wagonbrand. The server name suits you better.
There’s not a lot we can do with SBI. Stormbads? Boring. Stormbandwagon? Doesn’t really roll off the tongue.
But Wagonbrand? Now there’s a keeper.
Stay bad, bros.
It happens a lot of the time when an action is interrupted/aborted. Bind a key to put away your weapon. That will usually fix the problem.
So all trash talk aside, my take on these 2 servers
Magumma: To be honest mag has some good blobbing guilds, had some good gvg’s and fights with VR and Ark (before they got interrupted) They also have some decent roamers in Aon even though you guys tend to run in groups far larger then a typical roaming group ( apart from Aon all the mag roaming guilds are terrible, just look at swag lolololol)
FA: Has by far the worst player skill per player of any server ive faced (and i think ive faced everyone but T1 at this point.) Just awful on every level, from large group to small man to solo. I dont think FA is tanking this matchup i just think there so terribad that when they cant zerg down another group 3 to 1 they just get crushed

Yak’s Bend. FA is terrible, but I have yet to see another server as sad as YB.

Those guys who tried to hit mag keeps a couple hours ago and didn’t even destroy any of the siege on outer when their golems broke in before they threw themselves at inner.
In fairness, they were trying to beat the WP timer, because actually fighting to take the keep was never going to go their way.
dont forget you got 20 skills to swap around whereas other only get 10, with a 10s cool down for each set.
It’s a 16 second cooldown unless you blow 30 points into arcana and give up as much as +60% damage.
Don’t forget that your 20 skills are weaker and have longer cooldowns than other class’s weapon skills. Don’t forget that you don’t get powerful f1-4 class mechanics in exchange for your extra weapon skills. No 4 second stun on an 8 second cooldown, no shatters, no virtues, no double life bar, etc. etc.
What I would like:
You open the Ranked Ladder Queue Menu
Select any maps that you want to queue for
You are added to the queue and have an interface popup that shows your team as it fills
Once your team is full, you get an accept/decline dialogue.
Any player who doesn’t accept within 30 seconds is dropped from the queue
The others stay on the team and get the first available replacement.
Once all 5 have accepted the queue pop, the normal countdown for match join/start begins
If you don’t join the map after this point, you get dishonor
S, SW, SE, NW, NE because… complicated.
What’s up with people lately necroing old jokes and complaints?
That video never gets old.
Boon durations? not familiar with that nerf though.
They reduced the boon duration you get from zephyr’s boon and elemental shielding by 1/2 when activating shocking aura, the vigor and regen from soothing disruption by 1/3, and placed a 5 second ICD on Renewing Stamina.
So, you not only get less benefit from those boons, but the lower boon up time cost you damage from bountiful power, which they proceeded to cut in half again, because… ANet.
They nerfed:
-Aura durations
-ICD on frost aura
-Boon durations
-ICD on Cleansing Water
-healing per activation of signet of restoration
-number of actions that trigger signet of restoration
-Changed the cooldown of Ride The Lightning from 15 to 40
-Mist form no longer allows you to use any abilities
-healing from evasive arcana in water
-removed stun breaker from lightning flash
-removed stun breaker from cleansing fire
There’s probably more than I’m forgetting right now.

106k damage in 3.5 seconds. That’s .45 seconds longer than casting lava font and 2 fireballs. Not exactly a lifetime.
Even a non-minmaxed staff build at 1200 range will still outDPS a warrior.
Don’t hold your breath expecting ANet to do anything about this. This is the same company that gave PvE players thousands of badges of honor (WvW currency that drops from ~1-in-5 kills) without ever setting foot in WvW.
They basically handed them the equivalent of 15,000 WvW kills for opening their achievement chests, and that’s a reward that had actual value in the in game gold economy. They’re not going to do anything about sPvP glory farming.
I’d mostly like to know why eles have such low health. Like, seriously, not even whining, I just wanna know.
Lowest base health, lowest base armor, no defensive mechanism aside from healing (the class’s low base armor makes doesn’t mesh well with healing, and investment in Healing Power is required for it to be effective, as well), and unremarkable base damage (most autoattacks have absymally low damage coefficients, as well).
Access to 20 weapon skills at once vs 5 for normal classes. I’m sure ele’s lack of hp is because of their versatility. Thief is because of stealth and all of their other avoidance. Guardians is a odd one and I’m not sure if they belong in the tier. It would make more sense for mesmer and guardian to switch spots imo.
Never mind that other class’s 10 weapon skills are more powerful and have lower cooldowns. Forget about those pesky F1-4 skills that don’t make any difference at all. 4 second stun on an 8 second cooldown? Pft! 4 second invuln? PFT! Double life bar with access to 5 more skills? THPFFFTT!!!!!!!!! All garbage and not worth talking about.

2 laurels are worth 1-1.5g + the badges that you could have turned into another 0.5g.
The devs need to go play Final Fantasy XIV. Every single player who has acquired their relic weapon feels like they earned it through an incredibly challenging set of epic events that made having it feel special.
PvE players complaining that WvW and sPvP gets better rewards.

There were more AI controlled characters in the final of the MLG than there were human controlled characters. Also the Ai controlled characters were generally larger than their human controlled counterparts.

The general consensus of our server (SoS) is that we will be happy for Mag to get 6th and be steam rolled and curbed stomped and swirlied every week. We don’t want it. We aren’t going to throw matches, but we’re sure as hell happy to let Mag gain points through currently blowing out their weaker opponents this week, to get blown out in future weeks.
We had a nice big talk about it in EB tonight before JQ dominated all 4 maps again.
No it is not the general consensus, are you even apart of the internal SoS community, ie get on ts3, forums? The consensus is we play how we always have we’re not going to tank just to get to silver league. We have a oceanic population that will be pvdooring every week if that happens that would be horrible, on the other hand we aren’t going to stress ourselves and push us into gold league because of rng it may not happen.
At the moment Maguuma is feeding on Dragonbrands bloated rating, we all know ehmry gives up as soon as the weekend end so the score is no suprise to anyone.
To be honest it feels like the SoS community is pretty split on whether or not gold league would be good for the server. It’s a bit of a catch-22 for now, because unless SoS magically regains a strong NA presence one side of the world is going to be suffering. . While it is true that our Oceanic population would have a challenge in gold, I feel like the NA population would be pretty screwed in the long run.
Either way, SoS loses.
It’s the same in reverse for us. Our night time will be very sad in gold tier but NA will be very sad in silver tier. In essence, lol leagues
also our night time commander is used to the giant blob of 80 and only having 20…

Never mind that meteor shower takes 10 seconds to put out its damage and has a 30 second cooldown, while hurr durr blades can hit for 106k damage in 3.5 seconds with an 8 second cooldown.
Clearly comparable skills.

Yes, Ele was over-nerfed. However before it was rather ridiculous.
Ele was never ridiculous. The only problem was with being unable to pin down and kill a cantrip bunker, because he could always pop an escape, leave, heal up and come back to harass the point again. Forcing him to run away wasn’t hard for any class because ele was never a very strong fighting class. It’s out damaged by everyone, and even before all the nerfs, its healing could be blown through fairly quickly if the ele tried to stick around instead of hit and run harassment. It had a tiny little niche, and ANet destroyed an already weak class to remove it.
Spvp is such a joke none of this really matters to be honest. And when did they confirm new modes? I find that hard to believe since lolconquest is their special little flower and it’s absolute garbage.
One of the recent leaks said King of the Hill and Deathmatch are being tested internally.
I think you’re suffering from “that other mode gets waaay more than our mode!” seriously try playing some spvp and tell me if you enjoy it, or can even stand to play it for a few days. At least you have ways of making WvW fun like guild battles or roaming, you aren’t locked into playing any specific way.
I played sPvP to rank 43 on EU and 30 on US. I didn’t exactly dedicate my life to it, but I’ve played a few thousand games. Custom arenas let you play any way you want. Kaypud’s 10v10 Beach Brawl was the best game mode in GW2. The only thing that locks you into conquest is ranked ladder matches. Most hotjoin players don’t even fight over the control points except to get extra glory/rank.
We’ve been asking for GvG since day 1, and you know what ANet is going to add? Some crappy death match mode or some half-conquest half-whatever maps.
They never give pvpers what they really want; first off soloq is garbage and matchmaking is terrible. Custom servers are mostly dead, no one even plays on them anymore except for MAYBE 1 duel server and the rest are ANet defaults.
They can’t force people to play custom arenas. There were tons of them when they came out, with game modes ranging from death match to zombie survival mode. The tools are there to do just about anything you want, but the players seem to want to play regular old hotjoin and ranked ladder (more accurately, most choose not to play at all).
We’ve been stuck in the same terrible condi meta for months, with no balance updates.
Spvp is dead for a reason.
Yes, the condi meta sucks, but believe it or not the players asked for this. For months they cried and cried about bunker and power spike metas, and how condi was useless, necro was garbage, etc. etc. They gave you what you asked for, and now you’re whining about that too.
I think we can all agree though GW2 is officially a pve game, and both pvp modes are completely boned. Hell, even pve gets terrible mundane content.

Signet needs its “unintentional” procs back. That was a bigger nerf than the reduction in healing per cast.
Failing that, they should increase the current base healing amount by 50%+ to compensate for the loss. We went from getting 2-3 procs on dodge to zero.
7/10 – I like the colors, but I’m not a fan of the stiff Tin Man skirt, and the purple hair clashes with the rest.

You get almost everything you ask for, except maybe PvE rewards for sPvP and fixing it so ranked matches don’t start with less than 5v5.

Culling doesn’t have much/anything to do with skill lag. Even when we had over the top culling and I could only see pets and spell effects (not even allies), I still got 30 second skill lag in SM fights.

No, I mean the no cooldown hacks. If you pay attention in fights and know the cooldown of skills, you’ll notice people using skills again way before they should be off cooldown. I was just chasing an ele last night (yes, despite cheating he still had to run away), and he used RTL twice in a span of less than 8 seconds (I used RTL to follow him and air attunement wasn’t even off cooldown yet before he used a second RTL).
They don’t ban for anything unless it affects their precious PvE economy. I still see the same fly hacking going on from the same guilds who used it to steal WvW orbs during head start.
If they’re not going to ban people I’ve reported for using no cooldown hacks, they’re not going to ban for glory farming.
Infiltrator’s Strike
Why: can be used while stunned, making CC useless. It’s like the old 4 cantrip ele x9001, except used in builds with face melting DPS.
How to fix it: give strike and return a 1/4 second cast time. Yes, it really is that simple.
Moa Morph
Why: It leaves the target defenseless for 32 life times.
How to fix it: Moa breaks on damage
Supply Crate
Why: The other “I win” button. Stun, damage, immob, burning, huge heal, finisher, long range. It’s like summoning a temporary ele.
How to fix: Remove the stun and bandages

It’s almost like thieves are completely broken.
There doesn’t appear to be any significant damage decrease.
The old videos I have show it hitting for 3k-3.4k against a heavy golem, which is pretty much what I’m hitting them for now.

The decision to dump the energy system from GW1 has played a huge part in the general spammy/low skill gameplay of GW2. In GW1 and Warhammer online, if you just spam all your best skills, you don’t have the energy/AP to continue attacking and just stand their like a useless newb. You had to be efficient at wait for an opportunity before using you high cost skills, even when they had low or no cooldown.
In GW2, they even managed to screw that system up with the thief, because they can regen init almost as fast as they use it. A system intended to act as a limit on skill spam instead promotes it.
And ANet wonders why the PvP community has completely lost faith in them.
So….I got merged with the reason “same issue.”

I’m not sure which is worse to watch, spirit ranger or that necro clicker’s videos.
I would like it if they removed the damage all together and made it exactly like blink. Most advanced ele combos rely on LF to execute, so the more often it’s up, the more fluid ele plays.
Removing the damage would also help reduce the damage in the instagib combo.
Range increase yes. I’ve suggested it before, but like everything else, it’s fallen on deaf ears while the devs were busy playing blind folded pin the nerf on the ele.
5 target chain lightning no. A glass ele could auto attack a ranger for over 6k DPS with CL bouncing back off his pet.
