I guess they do not listen when you tell them you cannot combine servers until you have more maps available to play on during prime time and less to play on during off hours.. It does not solve the problem at all to force combine servers against their will ( players do not get a choice who they are matched with) since that will just make it so players will not be able to play at all during the time they have to play. It just creates more problems instead. Prime time will always be overbooked and then have not enough in off hours unless they implement temporary timed maps that allow for more maps to available per server during prime time and less during off hours.

If you havent bought hot and are still complaining you have no one to blame but yourself…its been 5 months, its 50 bucks thats 10 a month, ÷ that by 4 its 2.50$ a week

Nice math. But bad balancing / power creep isn’t self-inflicted by the player by not buying HoT. Buying HoT will show a-net that this direction is okay. Some ppl do things out of principle. For example: Not buying Hot, because of its power creep.

I know what you want to do. Going against all those, who say, that they have not the money for HoT. But maybe its true? Do you know where they live and in what conditions? Life can be hard to some ppl. And apart from that, games don’t have a main role in ppls life sometimes. Money can be invested in more essential things.
And you shall not and can not judge the financial situation of other ppl. Even if it’s just 2,50 a week. It’s up to them, not to you.

Try to give some reasonable input to the topic please.

Or can we all imagine that your post means: I’m okay with powercreep! – Buy and win, or continue whining! ..maybe in a rather indirectly sort of way!?

These sledgehammer posts are becoming old. Please stop it already!

That is reasonable…whats really becoming annoying is the QQ threads about this game being pay2 win…which it obviously is not if you have ever played an actual p2w game…what should i tell him…there has been no signs to show elite specs will be even with regular ones…hmmm maybe thats why they are called elite?

Go play wow with no expansions and tell me how you compare to people with all of them, or any mmo. At least in this game they let you play still, some games would close the non hot servers. And btw there is still people making it to legendary without the elites…why not support anet if you want better balancing? Give them the resources they need to keep the game going and a balance team in place, rather then QQing about something that isnt going to change they are already working on the next elite specs for the next expansion…and again if you need help knowing what elite means i know someone who teaches 3rd grade english

This would not help warriors…because other classes would just get more then what warriors get by adding a 4th…Warriors need the defense and discipline lines combined into one line so they are both no longer needed in a viable build, it would really open warrior up if fast hands and warriors sprint were moved into and combined with the defense line and the discipline line was given its own identity

Necros most used heals are 1.25, 1.25 and .75 s…that is their signet, consume conditions, and the shout heal respectively
Eles heals used in pvp…their signet and wash away the pain have a 1 sec and 1.5 sec
Mesmer heals are faster at 1 sec for ether feast and .5 sec for the well
Rev heals are even faster depending on stance can range from .25 sec to 1.25 sec
Warrior does have other options as well such as defiant stance with a .25 sec
Edit: i think a half second reduction would make it great…i think to counter that you might have to reduce the heal by 10% when activated tho

I still have a screen shot of hitting a tempest for a critical hit of 8 dmg using vualt as marurder amulet and 4 dmg using steal.

This is why I will never consider GW2 PvP as a competitive scene. Just too much of the game playing for you.

Exactly…i have seen ss of eviscerate hitting for 17 damage…its one of warrior’s (a burst class) hardest hitting skills

perma protection is NOT fine

perma protection granting 40% damage reduction being spammed is DEFINITELY not fine.

Its not even the perma protection but when they stack it with other damsge reductions so people are hitting for 17 damage in full zerkers

You know signet of illusions does not reset continuum split, right..

I think the cooldowns of elite spells need to be respected, make Mesmers use continuum split for damage/healing/utility combos instead.

Should this boon be removed? It’s one of the strongest, if not the strongest boon in the game. To completely cut a players damage by 33% is insane. Add that to the fact almost every class can access it means those who cannot access Protection, Thief, puts them at a huge disadvantage.

On a side note, a good way to buff Thief:
S/D skill 3: “Boons you steal are applied to you”
Bountiful Theft: “Steal 3 boons, allies within 600 range will be granted the boons. If no players are in range, you receive the boons.”

Thoughts?

The boon is fine.

The problem is Other classes have so much access to it that they can spam it like farting

I think there is way too much of this boon but some classes need it to reduce their squishyness…protection is the biggest problem with warrior and thief atm

I think something cool they could do with warrior to make it less passive and more fun to play while giving it a chance in the post hot world would be to remove the physical utilities and instead make them f3-f4 u choose 2…revert the recent changes to them but change the trait peak performance so instead of reducing cds it adds 1 sec protection 1 sec resistance 1 sec regen …i think this could make warrior one of the more interesting classes to play then… without making it overly op the biggest problem now is access to abilities and useful skills along with damage mitigation

May be you are right, we need flowers in each weapon, then noone will hut to other profession, peace for everyone!

Some builds work great, and other need fix something, i played the league and i never see a team better than other just for the profession, if you are not good, no matter how many flowers you put in the weapons , but… it’s what i hope they give us more options, not make all professions worse

I want things to be even it just makes sense in a competitive game to make it less spammy, less aoe-y, and less lockdowny….less passive and more reactive…there is way too much face roll mechanics in this game and its causing the player base to increasingly think they are amazing because everything is aoe, unblockable and provides dot while they are immune or have 90% damage reduction..

The problem with this is some areas if buffed to match where lets say necro was last season would far surpass anything…i mean look at warrior in order to make it meta you would need huge changes last season…like huge buffs(more aoe, and more damage mitigation) and a ton more access to boons and a damage increase on most weapons then all you would hear about is warrior burst op until they had to nerf the damage down on bursts to match everything else making adrenaline and warrior burst mechanic basically useless, instead lets look at nerfing…increase a couple cds maybe remove some condi application and it will get closer to warrior without being too far behind or ahead, its hard to balance when some classes have access to more then others

Foreword : Some of the scrapper nerfs were VERY warranted. Yes, necro needed nerfs too, but alas necro will be top of the roost alone this time around with engi a bit below god tier.

They should change it from bleed to poison, and reduce the duration, and nerf the application to like once every 5 secs or so…poison isnt utilized enough and is a great counter to heal bots imo

You want to give it half the cd of battle standard which can insta rez 5 people compared to snr’s 1 (not even instant), is a blast finisher which snr is no finisher, provides fury, might, and swiftness compared to 0 boons from snr….basically u want snr which is 1/10th as good to have half the cd….

What about removing the fact SnR can teleport people through walls/objects? It shouldn’t affect PvE that much, while Khylo version of SnR would not be so op anymore (thief only thing)? It would open a bit more counterplay instead of a guaranteed res.

Needs a 120sec + cd.

I don’t think Paladin is worth considering over Marauder’s or Berserker’s. Warriors already have the highest base defense and vitality, and our weakness is moreso to condition bombs and low healing, not raw power burst (2x Endure Pain).

The main draw to Strength is Berserker’s Power, and while an extra 20% damage is pretty cool for those >12K crits, you are cutting your standing time by over 50% by dropping a second Endure Pain and either condition cleansing (Cleansing Ire) or a longer Berserker Stance (Last Stand). Outrage is a neat skill with Rousing Resilience and Tempest runes, but IMO we don’t have much business running Rifle+Healing Power.

With Pack runes and Sigil of Agility (listed in PvP as Speed (PvP)), you don’t need Warrior’s Sprint — your team can cover your Swiftness issues summarily at the start of a round, and Rifle 4 breaks Immobilize without it. What you do need is high adrenaline generation, and our best source of that without sacrifice is Crack Shot. Since you’re not generating a ton of Might in the first place, Hoelbrak or Strength/Battle aren’t as useful as added burst from Air/Blood or the mobility from Pack/damage on Scholar.

If you’re asking about WvW, I’d stick with Strength as your traitline since your goal is to take no damage in the back and run if someone touches you, not to stick with it and force yourself to fight. Warrior’s Sprint and Signet of Rage help a little more there IMO. I currently run this in WvW:

The complaints i can hear already is the loss of dps from going defense/disc over strength/arms.

However to help with the loss of dps i added a way with sigils and runes to stack might.

This build has a lot more sustain then the zerker/strength/arms gunflame build….more condi clears, more stun breaks, more toughness, and more vitality…to name a few.

The main losses are forceful greatsword, which is partially covered with the might stacking ability. Berserker’s power which tbh im not even sure how much it does when in berserker because you no longer have the adrenaline stages. Signet mastery, and burst precision are somewhat covered with the higher precision and the signet of might.

The main gains are the three minor traits in the defensive tree mixed with dogged march, and cleansing ire for added sustain. Burst mastery for increased burst damage.

What do you think? Will the damage output be decent enough for the defensiveness gained? Would outrage be better then berserker’s stance

That’s why you do it in the weekend, so most people can stay up late.

I mean just imagine how many people would actually stay up for something this epic. I know my guildies would.

I think if they did wvw seasons or something it could be fun to see whose best but i think with time zones it might just turn into k-trains

I am a fairly new player when it comes to pvp but have had decent success in solo queue but have found it to be less fun then playing with a group, my current guilds are all pve or wvw based who play little to no pvp, so i decided to post here and see if i can find a pvp group that utilizes ts, runs good builds, and actually plays together in pvp…
I play:
Necro 57% win in ranked
Ranger 53% win in ranked
Warrior 48% win in ranked (all in season 1)

so since the last big class balance patch I’ve felt like i’m completely useless in everything wvw, now i play the tanky frontliner builds with every class but it seems like i get melted faster then the squishies and i cant heal or do anything faster then all the damage is coming no matter what, the heals from the others help a little but i’m starting to hate coming back to wvw. i’m in T2 any help would be appreciated

Guard is still the best frontline in wvw, once you unlock dh, it is good against break bars in pve and while not being a meta class in pvp it can still hold its own with a decent build…overall i think guard is one of the more useful classes…obviously elementalist is #1 in usefulness tho

Instead of using tapdatmouse’s legendary build which im pretty sure is outdated and a wvw build, look up the dh build that is on metabattles and try that…also you need to change it in your pvp build not in your hero panel
