I think a gladiator spec for warrior would be cool with either spear or net as the new weapon. If spear it could be a great mid range weapon. If net it could be great for entangles or as a new offhand weapon.
Gotta be a troll thread or this guy is playing unranked where zerkers and dds beat up on non elites, and where there is 0 team play

I dont think we need the added damage, instead id say reduced cd on stances or increased healing from heal skills would be better being we can already put out the damage
Viper Berserker mix Sinistar currently has the highest dps IN THE ENTIRE GAME BY FAR currently. Seriously don’t understand what you’re talking about.
Raid guilds already kill VG and Gourg with 4+ mins left with 3 condition Berserkers and 2 PS wars while the forum whiners still crying about how under powered Warrior is lol.. Best set-up for raid currently consist of half of the same classes in a group.
Quick note, instead of crying, I already made my own Cond Berserkers fully ascended and join the OP tide
People arent complaining about warrior in Pve we all know its fine in that gamemode, people are complaining because of pvp and the lack of viable builds
I had the same thing happen…guy afk and we lose -3 pips…its horrible….i havent been back on since(pvp)
Can you imagine the bs you would see…it wouldn’t be bad if they remade the runes (not likely would you take weeks of work) but without that you would see bunker meamers with a ton of damage or gunflame workers with near unlimited sustain or invisible heal bot high damage rangers…imagine a gunflame warrior with 4 degensive runes and 2 offensive, you could still get 15k+ hits with 4 defensive rune procs instead of 0…this could help move away from the bunker meta but i think would do more to make it stronger adding sustain to builds that previously would have been very gimmicky
Pretty sure this whole system is busted, i lost 3 pips by losing a match 496-501…plus we had a a guy afk for 2 mins

I know scoring has a lot to do with opponets and how much you win by in the end but you seem to have dominated them making me think it was some sort of glitch…

I am also not so far behind Helsleth and I soloQ'ed my way into Emerald, feel a bit better about myself.A good portion of the player base doesn’t understand that this is a team game. Helseth is great, but you can see what happens when you don’t have team support. That’s why he’s in Emerald still.
I have no team, and I never will because I am shy and struggle to make friends.
However, the fact that SoloQers are punished so harshly is ludicrous. How am I supposed to find a team If I have nothing to show aside Legendary Scrub “le 1v1 me”? Let alone start a kitten conversation with someone.
Ill invite people if i have played multiple games against them or with them and our play styles compliment each other

I believe it isnt counted as a win if they have someone left, instead it has its own defining term in mmr and affects it differently prolly same in leagues

War needs a better heal and stop on adren drain why not in combat. head but moved up to 300 i think these changes alown will make a big in packed for the con set up they are dyeing for us to play.
I think warrior needs a better heal and they need to remove the adrenaline drain while out of combat. I think the range on headbutt could also be extended to 300. I think these changes alone will make a big impact for the condition builds that beserker adds to the current warrior.

I solo queue with warrior and play on a team as reaper, condi reaper in fact. I totally disagree with op on a couple but agree on a couple points. While playing my own reaper the only two professions i seem to have problems with is tempest and revnants. I dont think warrior is a great counter howevver because of the double health bar of reapers and the fact they can go in and out of reaper while rampage is a one and done skill with a ridiculous cd (144secs when traited. Not to mention that warriors depend on weapon swaps for decent combos made dificult by chills. And this also slows gs and other might stacking skills. I agree rampage is a good counter to reaper but all reaper needs to do is pop reaper wait for warrior to go into rampage then leave reaper and play range while rampage wears down then go back into reaper and slaughter the up warrior. As for daredevils i have absolutely no problems with them, no where near the trouble they give me on warrior for sure.
im up to 3 hours dishonor each time i miss q which happens alot because anet forces you to stare at the screen for 7 mins straight without blinking. and the fact that i had a TBI last year which makes it hard for me to focus on something that long
nothing new tho anet loves spending time ruining the game for ppl instead of fixing it
Just an fyi if u turn your volume up so u can hear the server announces when queue is up, that way you dnt have to stare at the screen
I have litterally never seen a match make it to time out lord dies everytime i play stronghold..maybe its just me but usually i see the opposite one team wins fairly fast (wins all the supply from mid in begining and starts full push putting the opposite team immediately on the defensive)
As a warrior main i think thiefs need a passive defensive buff to add toughness and vitality based on the number or enemies within 800 range…this would help their survivability without breaking them and would help them escape the immense drop rate of aoes. I also think warriors need something major done with it, as it is really hard atm to fight close range when classes full heal every 3 secs and spam aoes and condis

Most use signet of might before they use killshot so u will see that go from passive to active but that is only if they use it for the unblockable
But their ragequit tears reward me more than that Spike they drop otherwise

First off id like to say i am actually having a lot of fun playing a high risk high reward zerker warrior with sword/shield greatsword in Pvp. However i have been having problems with sustain or lack there of, according to https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Warrior

My problem with this is warriors are missing a lot of these so called defensive abilities, and on top of that it is hard to inspire allies when you are doing less damage(on average not just burst) and give less boons then a lot of other professions.
It also says that the longer warriors stay in a fight the more deadly they become, i would call this untrue for the simple fact that it doesnt take long to build adrenaline anymore when u pick the right traits but its hard to get decent sustain without giving up all power and offensive oppertunities. If anything i would call warrior a smite or be smited profession atm, u have one roatation possibly 2 in team fight if not being targeted before u are down.
I think to add this more powerful overtime a trait should be implecated that gives warrior either a stacking healing power boost every 10 secs in a fight to boost surivialbilty making all the statements above true or the statement should be changed and warriors unblockable on signet of might should be increased to 8 secs. Then it could be something like “quick to anger the warrior moves with precision and power to destroy enemies before they can be destroyed themselves.”
Also to make more builds viable i think:
*mace speed should be increased
*shield/warhorn/torch should all have reduced cds by 2 to 5 secs
*one sec of block should be added to each shout or make it traitable
*fast hands baseline, anet built these weapons to have synergy need this in order to utilize this synergy that other classes get with each weapon
I loved the idea behind beserker but i cannot play decent games with it in pvp and i think half the problem is the rage skills being lackluster if they were improved they could be used to add condi damage making the beserker much more playable for condi and hybrid builds.
Tldr: warrior needs healing power buff overtime, mace speed increase, offhand cds need slight reduc, blocks on shouts, make rage and physical skills less of the same.
I wont even mention that the masters of weapons somehow almost always find a way to throw a rock… (downed skills, rampage skill 4, shattering blow)
Like i said in the begining still having fun but things just arent like what i thought of when i thought of warrior pre hot and i know this has a lot to do with other proffessions doing ridiculous damage with a ton of sustain atm which i am sure balances are being worked on atm. Good job anet on the expansion and if u read this thanks for your time, just thought id share my ideas for some minor improvements to my favorite profession
This is the tank im thinking of trying…
..almost 4k toughness, lots of heals, gives plenty of boons, has shield block, sword block, and heal block. Gets protection from runes, is able to still have 2200 power and 22k health. Chance of heal when striking and aoe heals on weapon swap. Not great for damage but should have great survivalbility. Might be a total flop going to try it and see how much of a beating it can take before raiding with it to see if its viable

U can actually get them from the kryta reward track in pvp tho
I love my sword shield gs build for fighting mesmers, use the leaps to keep up with target, apply bleeds when u can, burst in order to get them to use utikities and start cds with gs switch to shield 5 for might, once under 50% hp use signet of rage and signet of might then sw2, sw3, sh4, f1, gs2 this should put out a lot of dps in short time with quickness, might, and unblockable attacks. Sw3 hitting on a target below 50% can do 8k…the f1 furry is just for the immob before going for gs2 (100blades) and should be ended immediately after first hit so gs2 can hit before they are able to move, most mesmers are very glassy and if so you probably wont even get to the f1 skill (gave full rotation for your benefit)
This is supposed to be a roaming build right?…if u r going for a solo build might i recomment sigil of energys for more dodge rolls, signet of might to make some attacks unblockable, shield>warhorn, id also choose balanced stance over dolyak signet bc it has a shorter cd…stacks dont last forever. Also marauders is good for roaming, and soldiers for larger scale fights. Also make sure u are using food and utility, furious sharpening stone is recommended on both instances for utility, for food id look at ur options and see what best fits ur playstyle. Id recommend runes of hoelbrak for solo or group fights.

some times you can get outside help for guild bounty missions , other then that i dont know
You can always ask other guilds for help if having problems with the pvp challenges go into the pvp lobby and ask for help(might not get the nicest responses but im sure some ppl will help), cant get enough ppl to finish a trek find other small guilds to run with once for theirs once for yours. Just some ideas to help…i know its tough on small guilds
Yeah because they’re totally dominating the PvP pro league with people bringing 2 as standard per team, sometimes even 4 with a thief….
In most tournaments and i am pretty sure in the pro league you can only have at most 2 of any single proffession…
Another way would be to give a 50% chance on all aa skills while in beserker to cause 1 stack of burning for 1 sec…this would improve beserker a ton in pvp for both condi and hybrid (condi+dmg or condi+tank)but might totally break pve idk i dont play much of it…that being said i dont think changing one skill on one weapon is going to be the savior this spec needs
so warrior is called wr, not war?
However, I fail to see how you can survive longer and clean 7 condi in a very short time witha stun breaker..
And what happens if I don’t want to take defense trait?
After I used my Endure Pain, and shield block (note that you can’t block DH traps, Necro marks etc), I become really vulnerable, and do I really have the time to put enough damage (pressure) within this time? Sometimes, yes, I manage to kill (for sure there’s bad players against me, and I hope I don’t suck). But I can tell for sure, playing Reaper is feeling much more warrior atm and I survive 3 or 4 times longer in fights while I put REALLY HUGE pressure on them…
So true i love reaper, why? Bc i can basically play a condi necro liike i would play a beserker warrior i just have more stab, chil on command, poison on down, and a second health bar…not to mention a staff to hit from range and it does about the same damage with a ton of condi on top of the damage….aka gg warrior, gg
I know how much chaos itll cause communities and such if there are merges however, guys I looked at some old videos of my server from when it was in the same tier but years ago.. and I suddenly reminded me of what real world vs world was. That sense of heroicness and glory came rushing back, I think everyone in this thread has just been watching wvw in its slow decline for so long to the point where they didnt notice how much it changed. Go and look at some videos of your servers from 2 years back and you will realise how big of a difference it is. In the old days even down in the bottom tiers it was swarms of guild groups working with the defense groups to desperately rush between keeps in time to defend them from the big bad map blobs.
People are saying its a different style of play to like to play on lower pop servers but that arguement doesnt hold the same weight as it did before, before it was a difference between blobs and small scale but now.. if you server has such a low pop that you find yourselves back-capping each other’s camps and never meeting the opponent youre ppting against thats pve not wvw, remember the difference.
And seriously, looking at those videos I’m getting the feeling that ‘I want to play that game’ and im realising why im so put off from wvw nowadays and just floating around in spvp.
I felt the same way so I just transfered from a t8 server to a t3 server and wow you are not kidding…i went from 3 fights in a 4 hr session during na prime on reset in t8 to fighting for 2 hrs straight in t3 on a tuesday….i didnt realize how completely dead the low servers were till i switched.
I do however think these people asking for 9 to 12 servers are crazy tho, i think the least you could have and still have decent types of play for everyone’s playstyles is 15 servers…even 18 i think would be better for the differing sizes.
As for server loyalty..if 2 servers were combined into a new server with a new name you couldnt be loyal to your new server? What would a few more ppl around do to hurt things?
I still run gs/h when i play my warrior, i think it does pretty well bc of all the cc it can put out

Great tier: chrono, druid
Good tier: Reaper, scrapper
Viable tier:Tempest, Daredevil, elementalist, guardian, mesmer, revnant, thief
Bad tier:Necro, warrior, ranger, engineer
Worst tier: Beserker
Reasoning: this is how i would rank them based on my experience playing against them from the eyes of warrior/necro (i think every class has a natural counter so obviously some will move up or down pending on what you are playing. I also put in non elite proffessions for the simple ability to show how bad of a place warrior is really in….so much so a lot of us have quit maining it. Also to show that some professions have multiple viable builds while others have none.
Condition removal, might and stability….all done better by other classes (condi removval only when running shouts and traited)

I think a really cool idea would be main hand shield usable with offhand sword axe or mace would be cool, new elite specialization being Spartan third skill would be shields edge (drives shield edge into enemies skull gives 1 sec quickness, applies 1 stack confusion and immob on hit 5 sec cooldown)
Elite turns sword axe or mace into spear when using mainhand shield, moves being drive a thrust with spear and a spin move.
New utiliities would be minions
Summon shield master
Summon spear master
Summon healer
Summon wall
Summon the dead
Elite skill:
Summon balthazar
I won a game by 460 today….pve guilds should just hire pvp players for their guild missions they are ruining pvp for me…every time i get put against a guild group its either stomp or be stomped bc either they know what they are doing and ts gives advantage or they are a pve guild and cant even make it to the points to contest them

Its the same for warriors with rampage, id recommend using them pre-shroud bc active effect will carry over and the cd will pass while in shroud(its what is recommended for healing signet while using rampage at least and im guessing it works the same)
Ask other guildsfor help if ur having problems, i have run rushes for a lot of guilds lately and have done the pvp missions for some pve guilds that were having problems
As a Redditor, I feel I am extremely highly skilled, yet for some reason I lose all my yolo queue matches.
The only consistent factor in all these games is that I am on my team, but we couldn’t possibly be losing because of me, I am a highly skilled Redditor.
Therefore, I contend it must in fact be the balance I don’t understand or the matchmaking I have no statistics on that are causing me, a highly skilled Redditor, to lose PvP matches.
So being on reddit makes you better at pvp? Lol
I just switched from warrior to reaper (bc no one is playing beserker) and reaper is leaps and bounds better but i would still say its still middle of the road with dh and druid (both seem to be able to 1v1 most classes with ease) also u have herald which i would put above reaper
