Easiest way to combat a zerg is taking one of their towers back using only 5 people. Shows that you can do more with less. Seems to me like zergs only happen because people simply don’t want to get killed, and farm karma.
I think people forget, its a game. It doesnt affect you in real life. Have you ever gotten a girl by saying, we are totally dominating tier 2 in guild wars 2, drop the pants lady. Come on guys quit the trolling and just be decent.. its not that hard. I mean all servers, even mine you guys are all being waaaaay too serious. Coo.

We probably could prove to do it in T1, and the reason is quite simple as to why, because the other servers do not know when or where we will strike. That uncertainty would be enough. Just my two sense there.

Just because we are not backstabbing the wall because you think we should, does not make something broken. Should Mesmers not be allowed to throw down their illusions on a gate? Or a Ranger have their pet attack a gate? Or an Elementalist’s or Necromancer’s summons attack a gate? Or a Guardian’s weapon skills attack a gate? I agree that it would be possible to solo a tower using S/P with Black Powder and pistol whip for the perma blind on all of the enemies, it can also be done with camps. The only thing is that it’s boring by yourself, and more fun when you’re playing with others. At least, that is my opinion.
I want to get something similar like my thief, hence the sb and s/d combo, so that. I may make a transition into a new class
I keep trying to branch out to use my ranger which I loved so much in GW1, but it seems my thief just keeps calling me back to her. She’s just so cute! XD. How does a full berserker set for a Ranger using SB and S/D work out?

Oh so you’re getting on about Thieves Guild and Ambush for 3 more thieves to attack… I don’t want to be focused by all the enemy NPCs so I use my own to lessen the damage. Is there something wrong with this? Or am I being inhumane towards them?

Well yes but your trying to dismiss the issue I originally brought up. A good their can easily run with the enemy zerg without being noticed. they would be able to do this with all the stealth skills you suggest. As soon as stealth is about to drop, time it so it goes back up. Sith practice there would be a very very small time frame in which you would be revealed. Culling aside, targeting a thief in that split second would be extremely difficult. Which is why I say increasing stealth to 8 seconds would make it easy because you have 8 seconds to prepare your next stealthily skill

I think you misinterpreted what I meant. When using cnd in a zerg you would not auto attack to give you the revealed buff. You would be chaining your cnd one right after the other so as to achieve essentially perma stealth.
Hmmm if I had 8 seconds of stealth every time I used CnD… Running with enemy zergs would be so fun xD. CnD the ranger, then the mesmer, and then the warrior, and then the mesmer again, to the necro…
This is the problem if stealth was even longer from one use. Although this is still possible to do with CnD as it is, what the OP is suggesting would make this as simple as auto attacking.

@Master Fuhon I do not understand in what way we were “glitching” the Guild Lord. Are you referring to my habit of strafing left and right what i attack with my SB?
To determine if there is someone still in the tower, check to be sure if you are still in combat. If you are, then that is your clue as to a stealthed thief being in the area.
How is this any related to the snowflake glitch? The snowflake glitch provided imbalance in the market that players were taking advantage of to make money. What money is being made here? Please do not reference something that does not relate to the “issue” at hand, even though it is only being made an issue from thieve protesters it seems.
This would break away from the zerg mentality, making servers use smaller teams to stay in towers to make sure their tower doesn’t get capped. From the way things in WvW has been playing out is zerg zerg zerg. The bigger the zerg the better the server apparently. This kills that playstyle, or at least cripples is. Does this not give smaller organized groups the power to combat a zerg?

Lol we’re now back to the shorter WvW match up argument. 1 week works because it covers all days where people have their off hours to play this game. A 3 day match up from Monday to Wednesday does not allow the players who work or attend classes to make a decent showing in WvW.
What real cash do you need to spend in order to transfer? From what I recall there is this thing called the currency exchange to make your gold into gems and vice versa. Want to transfer? Pay the gold. This simply is adding another hurdle to get people to settle down. Those who still wish to transfer will still be able to.

Yeah the rating system is nice will all its math, but would anyone else be up for 3rd place dropping a tier, 1st moving up, and 2nd remaining as is? It would simply be nice to face off against different opponents. Just my thoughts and opinion.

In before the thread gets locked! And my response on this matter is that there is nothing broken with the system. Any type of hindrance to players playing at a certain time would cause WvW to not be a fair 24/7 battle. I do like the more aggressive npc idea. If server has the out-maned buff, make the npc’s a bit tougher, but not impossible, to take down.

T1 match does not matter this week! SBI, JQ, and IOJ will all remain in T1 because Blackgate (ranked 6th) is destroying HoD and ET, but will only move up to the 4th ranked position.
ET won’t be in T1 because SB is currently losing to JQ. HoD is still in first.
The main issue with implementing this is coding it. There are many problems that can arise. An example would be if you’re healing ally #1 and he is getting hit by enemy #1, but attacking enemy #2, then ally #2 comes in and kills enemy #1 while enemy #2 gets away. Would you get credit for aiding in this situation, even though the target the ally you were healing gets away? Very complex.

After a few rounds of server matching, the servers will be paired up with other servers with similar activity. Thus, this is why we have the ranking system.

WvW ranking is all about zerging and night capping, there isn’t a stragedy to be used when a guild is a 24/7 zerg. Now a less populated server there is alot more stragedy to it because you in essence have to try to accomplish more with less, but really, lolNight capping isn’t a valid stradegy because it requires no stragedy. If you approach a tower that is empty what brilliant stragedy is concocted exactly to successfully take that tower?
And you use words like compete and highest level.
Capping empty towers isn’t compeition, and highest level really means highest population, highest amount of coverage, and highest amount of transfers to, but what is doesn’t mean is highest level as in operating at a level better then everyone elseDo you honestly think the “highest skilled players and guilds” just so happen to be on the highest populated servers?
Do you honestly think that the lowest populated server will be able to recruit more people to actually compete in their prime time and recruit guild to their off peak time and rise out of the bottom and be in the top tier?

Again, you’re going on about data from only a month of gameplay. Short term results cannot predict long term. An example ingame was HoD vs. SBI vs. ET. HoD was losing in the first 3 days, but eventually pulled out a victory.
You can’t expect things to instantly happen.

Why are so many people whining about this? This argument has basically come down to people complaining about a server that has people in multiple time zones. WvW is not broken simply because of this matter, and any solution that I’ve seen posted on these forums is outright stupid as it would be taking away from what WvW is suppose to be, a 24/7 fight.
