ive suggested 15 in skirmishing and nature with a bunkerish build 2 months ago, my topic swiftly proceded to the 10th page though .
But yea , 0 15 10 15 30 is very versatile with its gear choice , weapon choice and pet choice . I have been running runes of altruism as it is an additional 15% boon duration, 3 stacks of might and fury on heal . Essentially you can go perma fury with that .
Very useful in dungeon groups as well, just put on healing spring , and every 30 seconds you apply might , fury , regen, vigor and condition cleanse on the whole group . Add a jungle stalker and fern hound and be a ranger guardian lols
you can easily recognize agony attack patterns and call back your pet in time , most of the time . The bigger problems would regular mobs on fractals30+, but the beastmaster rangers role isnt to deal dps anyway, it is to apply regeneration and vigor , tank and revive allies
Hey guys, i have been thinking about this for a while , of how cool it would be if the ranger could use the torch as a main hand weapon. It could be easily used to fill some gaps in pet survivability and utility for the group . So hear are my ideas :
attack 1 – Ashen swings
-a short range AOE attack that inflicts 1 second of burning and 4 seconds of vulnerability on targetkitten . attack speed a bit slower then the greatsword . range 450 . cleave 120 degrees
attack 2 – Phoenix cloak
-applies a 3 second shroud to the ranger and allies in a 600 radious that gives protection and retaliation . Cool down 20 seconds
attack 3 – Flaming vortex
-circle targeted AOE with maximum range of 900 and AOE size the same as other standard circle AOEs . Everything in the circle is pulled toward the center and knockdowned . Weakness applied for 3 seconds . Cooldown of 40 seconds .
What do you guys think ??

The 6th bonus for the rune set says that “you and your allies are healed by a small amount upon using a heal skill” . Could someone please tell me how big or small this heal is ?

I find zerker warriors the most useless build for anything other then COF p1 runs
but zerker rangers are useless.

It works unless its a dagger pistol thief . Then you are boned , he has more sustain then even a bunker ranger
I have a solid build for dungeons that i am very happy with , i use your build in PvP . I am just wondering if you could get some footage of it in FOTM 20+ and some dungeons if possible
Nice video, but what build are you using . From the cooldowns and effects i can see that you are using 20 30 20 0 0 trait distribution and Sigil of bloodlust on one weapon . What is the other sigil , what armor and trinkets and what runes .

yes, but ranger has no support or group utility when he bunkers, unlike elementalists or guardians . It is a trade off , more damage for less utility
apothecary ranger is one of the better builds i have seen

well u might lose out on some toughness, but you do get vitality, which is a defensive stat as well . Healing power , percentually there is a minor difference between 1300 and 1400 because you are using ungent and regeneration which dont have full benefits from healing power anyway .
Is it just me , or does ranger get insane utility out of Celestial trinkets . I mean , there is not much difference between 950 and 1000 condition damage or 1300 and 1400 healing power .

IMHO, stealth is too available . It is a great mechanic but it can be spammed
it gives 350 condi damage to pets . a bleed tick will go from 40ish to 60ish
i like the sword as it is . This game is too simple as it is , the ranger sword is a weapon on the higher end of the skill scale . Mastering sword , the ranger goes from meh to awesome
you cant win. What you can do is not die sometimes . Good thieves are imposibruuu

I have used shortbow longbow beastmaster pretty well in all game modes . But ranger melee is so fun. I feel like a troll , so i am doing Faux RRR build in PvP atm with dagger+sword and shortbow . Such a troll build
I really like your playstyle and build . I am running it in SPVP and its very fun . I am more of a PvE player myself so i dont see it being useful there however
Yes i know that , i have a warrior as well . But it seems rather strange as it is only worth it for bunker builds , or those signet 30 marksman builds . Do not get me wrong , i do not mind either way , i just wondered if it was left out on purpose
Yes but , compared to warriors 200+ hp per second , the ranger has an 85 per second .
Simple question :
How come signet of the wild basic healing rate did not get buffed with all the signet buffs happening left and right ?
Honestly , thieves in WvW are very OP at roaming . My two biggest nightmares are solid mesmer or thief players .

The warrior has to catch you first . That is their main problem too , catching stuff .
The ranger used to get 35 toughness from SoS and the pet got 90 , now both get 180 ye ?

I think you give too much to the numbers that you are seeing . This is in essence a bunkerish build , but if you maintain 10+ might on yourself , with only your own buffs , and considering your durability and sustain , i would say that your damage has little down time . And you are very very useful to your party , which ranger berserker builds ARE NOT.
But sure , keep looking at those pretty white numbers surrounded by red borders … weee
Actually this build is fairly strong in dungeons . Sometimes your pet will die , but consider this :
-buffing yourself with might and fury with weapon swapping , all the while maintaining solid dps as you are using double bows .
-you can buff your party with healing spring (3 might stacks , fury , regeneration , vigor , condi cleanse ) and jungle stalker roar (5 might )
-this build is getting a direct buff with the next patch (pet life expectancy and f2 cast speed)
You can easily run axe + warhorn instead of either bow for dungeons and farming , as you still remain at ranger but have a bit less dps but more AOE and buffing AOE spells
Like the title said . I am new to the warrior , her being my first alternate hero . I quite enjoyed double maces at low level , but for end game are there any builds that use these ?
I dont mind my hero being a sidekick or even just a small cog in the overall scheme of things , but Traherne has no charisma what so ever . Like someone else already said , he is a walking cabbage
