full berserker ranger with power and critical damage traits wont work , because both the racial skills (pet) or utility skills do not allow it .. at the moment at least .
You can , however , effectively go for hybrid builds . The ranger excels at sustained damage anyway , so it is a good idea to be able to constantly shoot for medium damage then burst and die or run away .
ye, offhand axe 4 seems like a good fit . Maybe have 2 smaller stuns or knockdowns going both ways
I would only take pet prowess in skirmishing tree if i was going full beastmaster build with cats or birds , otherwise there is no point imho . What could be interesting , if you insist on marksmanship is going 30 and getting the signet of the beastmaster , but that is still not really optimal at the moment as the power coefficients on ranger weapons are sub par compared to other classes .
I would just like to add this , first tell us what is the role and playstyle that you want , and then we can give you a proper suggestion
Even if you run berserker gear i would suggest investing into beastmastery or wilderness survival . Simply because the traits you get there are far superior to those in marksmanship .
I would move at least 15 points into beastmastery because the faster pet swap adds so much utility to you .
Also i find it that quickdraw is rather meh because bows already have short cooldowns , other then barrage . IMHO, the best traitlines are wilderness and beastmastery

Yes the longbow is underpowered compared to other weapons, but it can be used in certain situations . It does not make it good , it makes it usable .
I like the feel of a dual bow beastmaster so I continue to play it . Balance be kitten /p>
Longbow :
-Longbow 1 has a higher rate of fire
-Longbow 2 unloads the same amount of arrows but twice as fast
-Longbow 5 cool down reduced from 30 to 25 seconds
Sword :
-Auto attack chain can be interrupted by dodge
Axe :
-Off hand 4 does knock back traveling both ways
-You can move while whirling defense is active
Pets :
-Pets consistently hit targets that are moving (if OP adjust damage later )
Warhorn :
-warhorn 4 inflicts chill for 3 seconds

off hand training or hide in plain sight
bark skin or condition transfer , depending on what you are lacking
I would suggest switching your runes to 4 runes of the nightmare and 2 runes of lyssa . I preffer full rabid for my build , only i use celestial ascended trinkets . But as long as your condition damage is high enough its fine .
Oh , try rearranging your traits to 10 30 30 0 0 .
As far as I am concerned , fix the bugs and pet reliability and then we can talk balance . Anything before that is silly . I do however think that balancing obviously useless or bad things can be done without fear of making the ranger OP

I do not really care about balance changes , what I am mostly hoping for are bug fixes and quality of life improvements . And Robert already hinted at those , so I am optimistic
Good thieves and good mesmers , my own personal hell .
In WvWvW burst damage is superior in every way . The problem with thieves is that they get to choose when and how to fight you , and when they do they demolish you in seconds . It is a design problem of stealth being too available .
Mobility , high damage and escape mechanisms never mix well together if you are expecting good gameplay .Thieves are boring to play and boring to play against .

If they make pets more reliable in both PvP and PvE i will be more then happy . Perhaps buff the longbow a bit .
I can mantain permanent 10 might on myself and my pet and fury uptime of 75% without the horn, could me 100% with it but i dislike axes . All the while buffing your allies with regeneration, fury, might , vigor and condi cleanse every 30 seconds .

yes, but a thief can run away against that many players . And choose when to attack you . You seem to be missing the point here buddy … they do too much damage for how in control of the battle they are . Lack of other builds is an entirely different mater
I will state my opinion again, stealth is broken by design . It offers too much utility and is all to accessible . And because it is too good and to available , thieves suffer for it in PvE .

Thieves were not nerfed . In no game ever, especially RTS games would a fast mobile class or faction be given high damage . Usually the slowest option would do the most damage … because it is slow and avoidable .
Thieves have unparalleled mobility and damage , and an good escape mechanisms . Hence they are OP .

Thieves the fact that they can stealth so much and unload so much damage in a split second , totally fine in PvP but completely ridiculous in WvW with all the min-maxing going on .

Think about it this way . Some classes will be nerfed , ranger longbow and spirits will be buffed most likely . If you enjoy the class , play it .
make pet hit always unless dodged or the pet gets crippled . Reduce the timer on swap when a pet dies .

Sigh…. i refuse to accept this … i like my ranger !!!! They are not underpowered , everyone else is overpowered!!!!!
This is a choice that comes before a class is coded . honestly , giving pets the ability to hit while moving , even if the damage is lower and making them not die in dungeons so easily is all the class needs . Individual weapon, spell and trait balance tweaks are irrelevant in my mind

Stealth mechanic is broken and badly designed . It makes thieves a nightmare in WvWvW , but useless in PvE . Classes that can easily escape a zerg like that are broken , and only elementalits and thieves can do it .
Lack of build diversity is noticable as well .
Thieves are a problem in WvWvW , not in PvP , imho . Because they can minmax the most , and burst you down even if you are tanky
I never understood why ranger damage had to be lowered because of the pet . The pet is supposed to be something extra , just like every other profession mechanic is .
I think the ranger is poorly named a ranger . Honestly , the class is more like a druid . Which is not a bad thing mind you , just misleading .

3)condition cleanse per pulse
4)might 3 stacks 10 seconds
5)fury 5 seconds
Jungle stalker applies :
1)might 5 stacks 10 seconds
weapon swapping applies:
1)fury 5 seconds
2)might 3 stacks 20 seconds
3)swiftness 5 or 10 seconds , cant remember
Rampage as one :
1)fury , might , swiftness , stability
Boon duration is increased by 30% so add that to the numbers
All boons are shared with pet
Nature protection gives 5 seconds protection on hit , cooldown 30 seconds
Try my 0 15 10 15 30 build with dual sigils of battle and runes of altruism . Add some buffing pets and you are golden
I have the biggest problems against mesmers and thieves in WvW . I hate the stealth mechanic , but that is probably because i run a build that is silly and wont work vs these classes .
I hate stealth , it frustrates me to no end . Even after so many hours spent playing against it … i still frakkin hate it
