Warriors are actually ok and other classes need some help. Imo what makes warrior so strong. Dolyak singet and balanced stance. With these two you can have very high stability upkeep. Pretty much no other class can do this and they suffer because of it. CC needs diminishing returns or other classes need more stability.

I say we go on strike and refuse to play ranger until they let us permanently stow the pet and compensate the ranger with buffs since the pet was like 30% of our dps although u never got that anyways cus the pet never hits anybody.

This has been gone over so many times already. They are good at 1v1 and roaming in wvw. They are just not great at group support cus all there skills/traits help the lousy ai pet which is just gonna die in seconds in a zerg anyways. 9 out of 10 people that play ranger have no idea how to make a proper build. Until you can stow the pet permanently and buff yourself instead of the lousy pet its just not gonna be a great class.

For whatever reason anet has a thing for pretty much all classes have very limited stability except for warrior. Honestly the game needs diminishing returns on cc or classes other than warrior need more access to the stability boon.

Ranger only needs 2 things.
1)Ability to stow pet permanently and buff the ranger instead of the stupid lousy ai pet.
2)Some form of stability not on an elite with a long cooldown and not needing 30 trait points for a gm trait you don’t want. Then still have to use a utility to get that stability.

In wvw I think you don’t see many because of the boon stability. In wvw stability is like the end all be all boon. Without it in any zerg vs zerg fight you will get stunlocked and rained upon with aoe and condtions. I would really like to see a few classes get more access to stability without relaying on a guardian.

Yup probably the worst new heal. Nobody uses it other than when they first get it to test it out. Plenty of threads have been made with suggestions to change it. All the other heals are just way better choices.

IP just got nerfed in the dec patch. It got moved up a tier. It used to be a free 10 point trait you could toss into any build. Engi also getting a few more nerfs like less of an immobilze on net turret which nerfs the engi’s only elite skill worth a dam supply crate.

DR set a new record last night. We had outmanned buff as soon as the reset happened in eb. After an hour or so we lost our whole side and still had the outmanned buff going when I loged out. Time to shut the server down and let us transfer or combine us with another low pop server.

Hello fellow wvwers I am looking to see if there are any guilds out there interested in picking me up and trasnfering me to their sever. I know guilds were getting transferred for leagues. I only wvw and spvp so I am usually broke in game.

I started on blackgate but our guild could never get in the same bl due to the queue. So we switched to a random mid tier server devona’s rest. Since then dr has died and the guild I started with has moved on to other games.

I consider myself a pretty decent pvper and have always played with organized guilds who use voice coms. I probably have about 400-500 wvw ranks between my characters which is pretty high for the worst server on na. I am wolf rank in spvp. So if anybody might be interested let me know here on the forums or in game same name.

MMs aren’t a good choice for high level tPvP. They can’t hold a point against coordinated teams, are ineffective in groups, and are one of the slowest builds.

Dhummfire necro is very strong and useful in tPvP. I believe moreso than Power necro.

Why do I keep seeing this nonsense. Are you a mm necro trying to defend it or something. Every single time I solo q or team q there is atleast one mm necro. They are obviously a great choice for high level tpvp. If they weren’t there wouldn’t be atleast one usually 2 on every single enemy team. Every single tpvp match is the same thing. Hammer warriors nade/bomb engi mm necro spirit rangers and bunker guardians. Nobody plays anything else.

Maybe the other members of your server are tired of losing every week and are more interested in having some fun, instead of hugging towers and arrow carts in a desperate move to stay in Tier 3.

Dropping down one spot would be the most popular move in NA right now, as T4 is miserable with the SEA heavy DB; while YB can’t provide the fights that T3 servers crave.

This is what we do on DR. We havnt won a match in months and probably wont for a long time. So we just have fun. Don’t even really bother upgrading most stuff or putting up more than an ac or 2. To bad there is no tier lower for us to drop down to lol. Oh well the smaller scale fights and lots of 1v1s 2v2s beats the blob servers wvw any day.

I would love to see like a team deathmatch. First team to x number of kills wins. Or a team last man standing type of match. Capture the flag etc…. The point capture mode gets old cus it promotes lame cheese bunker builds that aren’t even really about pvp. More about standing in a point tanking.

Thing is the warrior was probably full zerker to get that dmg which should make him glassy. Yet the warrior and necro don’t really get glassy with zerker gear. War still has endure pain stability heavy armor high hp great passive healing and good condition cleansing. Pretty sure this is why most people pick warrior and necro in spvp. They are the only 2 classes that get big dmg and still maintain good survivability.

Wow surprised my thread is still going. So it looks like both thieves and non thieves have agreed. Needs to be less in combat stealth and more survivability options like evades blinds etc… This seems to be perfered over the hard counter of more reveal conditions.

Main reason I like wvw more than spvp is that there is no other modes of spvp besides point control. Since point control is the only game mode of spvp it leads to people only playing specific cheese mode point holding builds that aren’t really for pvp but are more for tanking while u sit on a point.

With my bunker engi I have a tough time win mm necros. Not enough dmg to down the pets quickly so they just keep plucking away at me. While the necro hangs back and just keeps applying conditions and swaps to second health bar if I am actually getting somewhere. Imo the minions either need reduced dmg or health. Seems to me they have a very large health pool for an ai pet and there is a half dozen of em. They also hit hard probably cus like warrior a necro can spec dmg instead of bunker and still have lots of sustain.

Maybe you guys just aren’t getting the same rng in your tpvp match ups as me. It is clear as day though to myself and my team what we see every single day in tpvp. Almost every single round has 2 enemy mm necros. They are far and above the most common build we run into. No matter if u believe them strong or weak its obvious the majority thinks this is one of if not the best builds for tpvp. Next would probably be healing singet hammer warrior sometimes with bow sometimes not. There is usually bound to be atleast one warrior on every enemy team. Other common class/builds are spirit rangers grenade/bomb engi and bunker guardians.

I personally think there just needs to be more stability for several classes or diminishing returns on cc. Fighting say a hammer warrior who almost constantly has a stun or knockback ready to go and only a 5 second stability on my engi with like a 40 second cooldown. It just gets old getting knocked around all over the place.

I think a lot of you thieves are missing the point of this thread. This is a thieves stealthing in wvw thread. We all know there are good thieves and bad thieves. Good thieves in wvw never die period. Maybe in a setup up 1v1 where its agreed in advance the thief is not allowed to run away and has to stay in a confined space you can beat a good thief in a duel I know I have. When it comes to encounters with them in wvw though if you are winning they just stealth and are gone every single time.

This thread is about the fact that fights with good thieves have only 2 outcomes the thief winning or the thief stealthing and running away with no counter to it. A Mesmer for example has short stealths and slow run speed and one short range teleport they can be chased down and killed so I find them balanced. A thief will just pop shadow refuge or shadow step away and pop shadow refuge and gets up to 15 seconds of stealth with pretty much no counter. I mean seriously how often do you get a lucky knockback skill off perfectly that knocks the thief out of shadow refuge its like a 1 in a 100 shot. If they use shadow step first to gain distance the chance is 0 in 100.

Not seeing mm necro high enough on peoples list. Here is a list of what people play in solo and team queue that I see every day.

1) MM necro atleast one usually 2 or more on each team every single match.
2) Healing singet warrior atleast 1 on enemy team every single match.
3)MM necro or healing singet warrior again lol
4) Everything else a sprinkling of thief guardian engi mes or spirit ranger here and there.
5) Ele probably least played class in solo and team queue

Thats a ridiculous nerf. You already cant cap points when stealthed or invulnerable, but on stance is like saying necros cant cap a point if theres a minion on it.

I love this idea lol. I am so sick and tired of having atleast 2 enemies be mm necro every single match. Its such a braindead kittened build. When I play my ranger my one pet doesn’t put out the dmg that one of the minions do and they have half a dozen of them. On top of the second health bar and fear spam it gets beyond annoying dealing with 2 or more of them every match.

I will put in my 2 cents on how I feel about thief stealthing. If you ever come across a good player using a thief there is only 2 possible outcomes. 1) The thief is losing the fight and decides to stealth and run away. 2) The thief wins the fight or stealths when losing and resets the fight over and over again until they win. A good thief pretty much never dies ever.
I thought the ranger sic em was a good idea and it has helped kill some thieves who are trying to run away cus they lost the fight. However sic em as it works now has to be used absolutely 100% perfectly and is only available on one class. I agree if more classes were given the option to give the reveal buff then maybe thieves and mesmers might need a lil more help like more ways to get protection or regen or something to compensate. But just because you play a thief doesn’t mean you should get to never die if your a half decent player.

If only it were free to transfer to tier 8. I get lots of 1v1’s 2v2’s etc on Devonas Rest. Our server doesn’t have the numbers to win a match against anybody. So its gotten to the point we play to have fun. We blob our amazing 20-30 man super blob at primtime and other than that its lots of small scale fighting. Some of you guys might really enjoy it here.

If you think about it you have two weap sets you can swap to a heal skill 3 utilities and an elite and some f1 skills. Engi actually only has one wep set then his utility kits. Overall none of the class are that hard you pretty much just spam everything and put it on cooldown then switch weps.

The game I played before guild wars was Darkfall. Most have never heard of it. It was a full loot free aim style hardcore pvp game. You had 10 hot bars with 10 slots on each. So you had a total of 100 different skills and spells to use at your disposel. We actually used all those skills/spells when they were needed. Making the game have a much higher skill ceiling then any of these tab target games with 10-15 total skills/spells. Before that I played utlima online. A mage had 64 spells in that game.

Ya ele was nerfed all because of this guy I have never heard of and his spvp team. Darn you and your team for being so op u got the whole class nerfed. On a more serious note though ele was the fotm for months and months. Clans were demanding their members train up and ele if they didn’t have one. I saw guilds running 15-20 or more dd eles in wvw. But ya they were nerfed cus of you. Not because they had everything kinda like warrior does now. Did they take the nerfs to far maybe. I still run into very strong eles now and then.

Well to be fair ele was the fotm for several months. I remember running into some guilds in wvw that would run 15+ dd ele’s. Maybe they did get nerfed a bit hard cus they were so strong I don’t know cus I don’t play one. However I do run into both really bad easy kill ele’s and really strong ele’s. They probably could use some buffs but it just seems like a class that is harder to be really strong with rather than say a faceroll hambow warrior easy mode.

Play a necro in spvp and learn their moves. Pretty much all condi necros are gonna use the singet that puts on half a dozen conditions. Just have your stam singet ready to go. Abuse the fact that you have much better mobility then them. Run quick breathing and warhon and convert the condtions to boons. Save clensing ire for when you have condtions on you. I don’t have much of a problem with any condtion class running a similar gear/food setup to you on my war.

I would much rather see spirit rangers on the enemy team than mm necros or warriors which is pretty much all I ever see anymore. Have to blame anet for 90% or rangers playing spirit rangers though the other ranger builds are terrible.

Yup im sure most warriors got the call and will come in mass to defend their op ness. Pretty much every match I have solo queued in since dec 10 patch and even before that has been atleast 2 warriors or mm necros per team. I have a war mes thief and engi and when I play my non warrior classes awhile and come back to my war I just laugh at how easy it is.

Would you guys like to see more counter stealth play. I personally liked the idea and think anet should add more options on different classes. Here are a few possible suggestions for classes im familiar with. Mostly changing utilites not used often.

Engi suggestions
1) Thumper or rifle turret replaced with Detector turret. Detector turret- X amount radius around the turret de stealths every x seconds. Overcharge ability- Everybody in the explosion radius is de stealthed and gets revealed condition for x seconds. Toolbelt skill- Single target reveal condition for x seconds just like sic em.
2)Utility goggles reworked- Single target reveal condtion for x seconds. Toolbelt skill fury for x seconds immunity to blindess for x seconds stun breaker.
3)Throw mine changed to throw detector mine- Works exactly like it does now except it adds a reveal condtion for x seconds. Can keep the knockback or lose it. Toolbelt skill stays the same or maybe 1 second reveal condtion per mine.

Ranger Suggestions
1) Vipers nest changed to Detector trap-Works just like vipers nest except each pulse gives reveal condition for x seconds instead of poison.
2)Search and rescue changed to search and reveal. Targeted x radius aoe reveal with or without a reveal condition applied.

Warrior Suggestions
1) On my mark reworked- Single target reveal condtion for x seconds.
2) Replace x banner with detector banner- De stealths anybody in the banner radius every x seconds no stat bonus from banner.

So like my ideas hate em have some of your own or just want to qq if you main a thief feel free to comment.

Nature’s Voice — This trait has been redesigned.
Nature’s Voice
Shouts apply protection, swiftness and regeneration to allies, and transfer 1 condition from each ally to your pet.
Protection: 3 seconds
Regeneration: 5 seconds
Swiftness: 5 seconds
Conditions Transferred: 1
Radius: 600

Would be a huge nerf and nobody would ever use this trait. Right now it gives 13 seconds of swiftness and regen. So you have more than halved its swift and regen. Plus I wouldn’t want my pet taking on more condtions from myself or my allies. It already takes enough with singet of renewal and empathetic bond.

Healing Singet

everyone focus down the warrior first in team fights because they were free kills.
now, people are mad because they cannot take down warriors as fast as before.

you forgot that warriors do not have illusions, death shroud, stealth, pets, minions etc.

the healing signet is a personal health regeneration skill that protects the warrior from puny damage. focused heavy burst damage plus extreme condition overload will still drop warriors very quickly.

however, in 1 vs 1 situation against professions doing puny non condition damage (most players) the warrior does appear to be quite powerful.

in team fights they still drop quickly provided enough burst and conditions is applied.

They have heavy armor and high base health, they have other healing traits, and other healing skills. No one should get 392 health a second off of one healing skill. I understand that no one took it before because it was bad, but that in no way justifies how much stronger it is than any other passive healing skill. I understand that you don’t want the skill to be useless, but that’s why you buff the active so that it requires skill to use. There is no justification for how overpowered this skill is currently.

So your answer is to have a team help you take down the 1 warrior lol. Or use burst which as I said requires u to use a zerker trinket and become complete glass meanwhile a zerker warrior is not glass at all.

Yes another one of these threads. First off I main a warrior but I also have other characters I like to play to spice things up. The facts 1) healing singet plus adrenal heal which most warrior builds have gives you a lil over 500hp per second. 2) This healing singet heal works every single second the warrior takes dmg adrenal every 3 so it is used to its absolute best efficancy all the time. 3) this combo works regardless of armor setup so even zerker gets 500hp per second.

Now this is what gets to me. When I play my other classes unless I go with zerker trinket in spvp I only put out around 500-700 dmg per second and have cooldowns. So unless I play say my zerker Mesmer shatter build my best hope is to tick away 100-200 hp off the warriors 25ish k health per second. When you add this good passive regen on top of the fact that warriors have probably the best condition clearing great stability upkeep and best mobility it just seems pretty clear to me there is a problem.

I am fine with a warrior being able to get over 500hp per second passive regen if they gave up something in return like for instance had to be wearing cleric gear to get it. Right now though there isn’t a reason to play anything other than zerker warrior. They still have high armor high health high passive regen high mobility high stability high condi clearing. If healing singet isn’t op like some warriors claim why can’t I have it on my other classes. I would give up the new crappy aed on my engi any day for healing singet as an example. But healing singet would be op on any other class right? But its not op on a warrior?

Think engi is in a decent spot right now. Could always use a few tweaks. Really disappointed in the new heal skill. All the classes got a new heal skill and engi’s is the worse by far. It has way to long a cooldown. It gives you a buff and a loud annoying noise saying hey don’t finish me off yet I am using AED. Also a one second stun f1 skill is useless. 1 second anything is friggin useless I don’t understand why anet thinks 1 second anything makes a difference.

In spvp team matches 5 mm necros seems to be one of the better groups. But most organized groups I get matched up against are all necro/war teams.

If you give Warriors access to near perma protection, engis can have healing signet too.

Mesmer pretty much has a refined version of Healing signet and I don’t see nearly as much QQ about them.

Its called heavy armor your pretty much always have protection compared to an engi with medium armor can I has my healing singet now.
