Long bleeds on sword auto attack and pin down. 2 forms of immobilize. 2 forms of stability and 1 form of 0 condition dmg taken for 8 secs. 2 forms of condi cleansing. Constant retaliation. Shortened immobilize crippled etc… All while regening 500+ hp per second passively depends on gear or trinket if spvp.

I get the chills when i see builds like this.

Had to edit it forgot you have to pick a banner to throw down for constant regen.

If you play TsPvP in solo you just need to prey, but it’s because TsPvP has been created for Team and not for solo players.
If you go in SsPvP, you must hope to find players that know how to play, yes.
But I’m a Guardian DPS and all the team scream behind me “why you’re not a bunker? You’re useless” ‘till the see me play and win against almost all classes XD
If you find a player that know how to play it’s class and build, you don’t need a “OP” class user, because you can find a better team member than a useless n00b that try to win whit a “OP” class and don’t know how to play.

I’ve see ele in Foefire whit berserker build and staff that hold the mid by a safe place up the rocks just becaus whit powerfull AoE attacks, and you can’t stay in the mid because you die.

You can find strange builds for pvp that work and make you win if the player know how to play.

But yes, if you find a team of n00bs, you lose XD

But that’s a “true story” in every game, guys.

Actually even if your team are good players and you end up fighting a team of noob warriors/necros you may still lose. It doesn’t take much skill to equip healing singet or send in half a dozen pets to attack while u sit back and fear anything that comes near u.

Hate to be that guy as well but a necro complaining about warriors is pretty funny. Since the December patch the most common class/build I have seen in spvp in solo and team q is MM necro followed by warrior. These two classes greatly out perform the other classes to the point its not even fun if your team isn’t made up of all warriors/necros or if you end up playing against a team of all warriors/necros.

People been complaining about perplexity runes for a long time they will get nerfed sooner or later. Engi isnt’ even that bad. Want some real laughs. Use a warrior with distracting strikes trait perplexity runes mace/shield and hammer for weps and bulrush and stomp for utilites. That is 8 different ways to interrupt and each interrupt is 9 stacks of confusion.

Trick is to use lots of knockbacks aoe and conditions. A trick I use is to drop big ole bomb and stand on it so the thief doesn’t see it and then drop glue bomb. So when they get close they get immobilized then knocked back. I then use rifle 5 to jump and land on them and follow with rifle 3 then rifle 4 to knock em back again. They should be pretty low by now drop a supply crate on em and use rifle 2 to immobilize them again after your supply crate net turret ends.

If you do solo queue all you can do is prey u get an all warrior/mm necro team. If you do team queue all you can do is prey u don’t fight an all warrior/mm necro team. Its just not even fun anymore.

The Good – Rewards in spvp are awesome A+
Perma stealth gone
You tried with some new heal skills

The Bad – AED is terrible. To long a cooldown to long a cast time and the f1 is awful.
Nothing done about the fact a warrior gets insane passive healing with
healing singet and adrenal heal.
Petting zoo builds in spvp. You actually made it worse making spirits even
easier to put into every ranger build.
MM Necros in spvp. Recently atleast 50% of solo and team q has been mm
necros. They get 2 health bars pets that hit like a truck and make it hard to
target the actual necro constant fear and a million conditions to spam.
New Mesmer heal they were already one of the strongest spvp classes and
now you gave them a passive heal singet comparable to warrior healing
singet that everybody has a vaild reason to be complaining about.

I do well with a bunker engi in spvp. Can hold a point and knock people out of the circle pretty well. However spvp especially solo and team q has been plagued with mm necros spirit rangers and hammer warriors recently. Like to the point its not even fun playing anymore.

Yup after the last patch initative regen got boosted because they also got a nerf where they don’t gain initative constantly while stealthed. I fought a thief yesterday who did black powder heartseeker backstab over and over and over and over again. He was only ever visable for about a second or two while he made a new blackpowder to jump through to stealth.

I usually run a support bunker cleric gear engi on my spvp team or my warrior. My warrior with zerker trinket healing singet adrenal heal and banner regen grants me more healing than my cleric gear engi and the warrior healing is all passive. Meaning I can focus on fighting while all the healing is done passively. On my engi I have to give up elixir 409 condi clense to get backpack generater. I have to switch to elixir gun and toss super elixir on the ground. I have to toss elixir h down and hope I get regen or protection and use elixir gun f1 skill to try to keep regen up. I also have to switch to bombs and spam #1 key for bomb healing all to still get less overall healing then what I get passively from my warrior that has 0 HEALING POWER. Its not even a comparison.

Switch to healing turret to instantly double your support healing and improve your personal healing at the same time. If you don’t have 409 or HGH (I’m guessing) healing turret is better than elixir H in every way. Don’t use bombs just for the healing; use them for the attacks and benefit from the extra healing when you can. Use elixir gun toolbelt skill as a stunbreak only; you’ll have plenty of regen already.

With zerker amulet, a warrior’s HS+AH+perma regen should equal about 650 healing per second. That’s pretty powerful, but keep in mind that they give up their #6 heal to do that. Your cleric engineer with BR+EIB+SE+perma regen should equal about 500-1000 hps, depending on how often you can use bombs and stand in super elixir. (If you don’t believe me: BR=175+, EIB=up to 350, SE=up to 175, regen=250+). That’s not counting your #6 heal, which is one of the best in the game.

And that’s not counting your healing turret active+overcharge+any blast finishers. Warrior is really powerful right now and has a lot of advantages, but it is simply not true that a zerker war can out-heal a cleric engineer.

Partly true I don’t deny that my engi is pretty darn tanky and really good support. Super elixir and bombs also heal other enemies which is nice. However it thing is it takes a lot of work trait points and healing power to get the same healing as a warrior gets passively with 0 healing power. The joke in our spvp team is I say im gonna switch to my warrior for a few rounds of god mode. They really are super easy mode.

Population and Transfer Costs

Yup we been over this a few times now but anet doesn’t seem to care. Devona’s Rest is now the lowest wvw population server on NA. Yet we are still very high population and 1800 gems to transfer here. I also have to guest to somewhere else to get anything pve wise like champ trains or temples done cus we don’t have any pve population either. I am now convinced anet is manipulating the populations for gems or they are counting all the inactive accounts. Don’t believe me come guest to DR check out our lions arch champ trains temples tiq etc….

Little upset that elixir infused bombs got a 50% increase in healing power which in anet terms means it went from .1 healing scaling to .15 or about 30 or so more hp per bomb explosion. Even with full healing power its less healing per second than warrior passive healing singet with 0 healing power and every warrior build has adrenal heal as well and some have banner regen or shout heals.

Just never really had a problem with Ret. I never really speced for it myself on any of my characters cus I always felt it was underpowered. When I get hit with it its always a few ticks of a couple hundred dmg less than most auto attacks. Maybe its cause I don’t run glass cannon builds though but in that case those enemy auto attacks are gonna wreck you as well. Pro tip don’t run glass cannon builds in wvw.

Not seeing much porting away on our server. However I have seen a lot of the Mesmers dieing on purupse somewhere he can be rezed from outside and portal everybody in.

While this seems semi trollish. In spvp before the patch a really good player on a Mesmer was pretty insane. Now those same really good players on a Mesmer with the new heal singet is just stupid op. Of course if u go to the Mesmer forums they will keep trying to deny the fact that they basically got a slightly different version of the warrior healing singet that still raises so much qq.

Well dr had most of its remaining guilds decide to disband transfer or quit completely. Right now it looks like last one out the door remember turn out the lights. Oh and pve content came out so what very little population the server has left is doing that. Still considered high population though thanks anet.

Mesmers were hands down the best spvp class. Pretty much always have been and always will be. So much crying was had about warrior healing singet. So instead of nerfing warrior healing singet they gave the best spvp class basically a better version of healing singet. Your overall hps is slightly less than healing singet but the singet use heal is twice as much as healing singet. Myself and other mesmers I fought with in spvp yesterday were godlike.

I really like aed just want a few tweaks. Should activate at 5% health. Cast time should be reduced or stability while casting. F1 skill just needs to be remade its terrible all around. Stability would be a good f1 skill for aed to help you get your aed cast off.

I keep saying the issue is incentive. For the league the incentive was to stack a winning server for better rewards that turned out to be lousy anyways. There should be some incentive to transfer to a lower pop server such as free or extremely cheap transfer cost. As et and ar have seemed to grow a little and dr has died more we are now the lowest wvw population server on na. Yet its still 1k gems to transfer here. We are considered high population yet there is no high population anywhere. Not in pvp not in pve not in wvw.

3- It has the exact problem I knew it was gonna have. It has the normal heal cast time which is a few seconds. You simply don’t have time when below 25% health to cast it. If this skill were instant cast it would be amazing. Also the f1 skill 1second stun is garbage elixir h has a much better f1 skill.

I will say it again although peeps usually don’t seem to agree with me. My main was a thief but I recently switched to engi cus its more fun to play. What I felt was brokenly op about theif was shadow refuge. Almost every single thief in the entire game uses this utility. It is a 90+ percent chance get out of jail free card every minute. I don’t understand why other people can’t come to the same conclusion that if almost every single player that has ever played thief uses this one utility there is a problem with it. Other utilities from other classes are popular yes but I have never ran into a single thief ever that doesn’t use shadow refuge. Its op fix it.

Auto defense bomb dispenser-I can make a smoke field on demand with the bomb kit. Just seems pointless for a gm trait to make a smoke field on stun etc… I don’t care for the on stun etc… traits of any class.

Armor mods- Even with the dec 10 patch I don’t think I will ever use this gm trait. 6 seconds of aegis just would never beat out 50% endurance regen increase.

Any trait dealing with turrets. They die way to fast and have to long a cooldown to be useful.

Precise sights- 50% chance for 1 statack of vuln for 3 secs on a crit is next to useless

Always prepared- Traiting for anything expecting to be downed is fail.

Been trying it out pre patch. Its doing well the extra healing power scaling on elixir infuses bombs is gonna make it very nice. Its one of those builds where I probably won’t be able to kill any good players in a 1v1. They shoud have a really tough time killing me though. It does great for support though. I can stealth somebody that is low or to help get a spike. Can also use the toss elixir b to give group stability when approaching an enemy zerg or to ensure a spike. Elixer bombs about 350 heal per sec to several allies around me. Along with the regen warriors get from healing singet and adrenal health they are getting tons of health back. Toss elixir H grants everybody prot regen or vigor. Rifle gives me an immobilze and a knockback to help the zerg mow peeps down. The #2 bomb skill does a fire field for the group to blast for might. Smoke field bomb is also useful to help get a spike off. Last all the elixers I toss allies or consume myself remove conditions.

I am gonna go with 3o inventions 30 alchy 10 explosions and cleric gear. Will take advantage of the bombs heal allies trait which now in spvp is doing like 300-350 heal to allies around me and its supposed to get 50% healing power increase. The 10 points in explosion is for a bigger blast radius. Elixers cure a condition and transmute is 100% chance to convert a condi to a boon every 15 secs after the patch. Also taking advantage of power shoes being 25% movement speed increase in and out of combat. I think it will be a good tanky support build for wvw.

My only concern for this new heal skill is that if its meant to be used right before you are about to die for the big heal to kick in. It is gonna have to be an instant cast. You simply don’t have time to be waiting to cast a heal when your at like 5 to 10 percent health to get the big payoff.

I expected this. They announced better rewards for winning server. So everybody transferred to stacked servers to win. The league was a total failure. Terrible rewards were given cus some servers got to stacked and now need to transfer back to lower servers and pay more gems to get around the queues. Win win for anet.

Well now the pve crowd who joined wvw for the rewards can finally see what we been complaining about since launch. You can basically get everything we worked 7 weeks for in an hour pveing.

I dunno on the fence on this one. With GS and sword horn I can outrun anybody while removing any conditions they manged to get on me with quick breathing. However I have a hard time killing anybody with this combo. GS is just really lousy against a even half competent player. Your only real dmg with it is to prey the enemy is stupid enough to let u immobilize or stun them and hundred blades.

Hammer is getting big nerfs in a few days. Healing singet is fine. It faces the same problem every other healing skill/trait in the game faces. If they toned it down it would be useless cus healing power scales poorly on everything. Imo healing power needs to be beefed for everybody then a slight nerf to healing singet.

Remove ability to res finished players.

I just want downed state removed from wvw. Keep it in spvp and pve only. It feels like an exploit to me a ele can come out die mist back into the tower over and over and over again. Everybody else also has some lame #2 skill that keeps them alive so the zerg can rez them. If you won’t remove downed state get rid of all the interrupts knockbacks mists and teleports from downed state.

This should compliment my zerg diving build well. In wvw I often like to tornado into a group of enemies. Then when I hit 25% I shrink and go invul and automated response kicks in. I then run back out of the zerg and heal or hit shrink again to make it fully back to my team and heal.

Its not much but in the dec 10 patch we are supposed to be getting this.
Alchemy 15 – Transmute. Increased % chance from 8% to 100%. This effect can now only trigger once every 15 seconds.

Mesmers can make clones on dodge though. Staff #2 is a clone and a retreat 8 second cooldown. Scepter #1 makes a clone every 3 seconds or so. Good mesmers can keep clones/phantasms up pretty much indefinently. Turrets also sit in one place and become useless if the fight moves outside its range.

Problem I have with turrets is that a couple whacks and there gone. Similar to a Mesmer clone. Yet mesmers can keep making clones over and over where my engi gets stuck with a long cooldown. I was in spvp the other day trying out builds. I was using soilders trinket and got hit by a Mesmer clone for 4.5k and crippled.

I just got back from guesting to GoM. Your statements about your player population are exaggerated. L.A. wasn’t any where near dead and the champ trains where running strong.

DR because they don’t have any guilds.

2nd this all the large guilds left to servers destined to win league. We only have like 4 or so guilds with any kinda of wvw presence.

Warrior= Powerful Banners- Banners do dmg when summoned.
Ranger= Compassion Traning- Pet Healing power increased by 350. All pets have 0 to begin with so 350 does nothing.
Engi= Always prepared- Drop bandages when downed and 25% more dmg while downed.

Worst weapon= Ranger mainhand axe. I find ranger mainhand sword to be terrible as well but some people actually like it.

My server is ranked among the highest populated servers in the game, in fact, as populated as Blackgate and TC on prime time, or so its says, yet, no temples open, dungeons, WvW population, people on maps, EVER, where are they?!, yes, Im in Gate of Madness, ranked 21/24 for the last few months, almost an entire year, which we got to be to rank 19. To add salt to the injury, because of this deceiving population threshold, transfering to our server costs also 1800. Why would anyone in their sane mind want to pay 1800 gems to transfer to a dead server?!*

This is something I still don’t understand. My server is almost dead last ranked. Yet we are considered a high population server. Where the heck is this population. Temples are never open. Big events never get completed. Our lions arch is a ghost town compared to other servers I have guested to and our wvw is a joke. Where is everybody. Either anet is skewing the numbers on purpose to help with money from gem sales. Or they are taking into account everybody who ever joined our server and quit the game completely.

Sounds good to me. I would also be down for removing downed state. I just don’t get the whole I downed you now I have to spike you twice taking ages giving the blob forever to rally you. The whole I downed you and you just mist form back to your blob for a rally over and over and over again ya that’s great mechanics.

Already low wvw populations got decimated by anets bad call to announce the winning server will get the best reward. Yet they made a lot of money in gem sales so they considered it a win. There is 0 incentive to transfer to a low ranked server. Our server is either last or next to last NA ranked server and its still like 1k gems to transfer here.

The fact our server DR is considered a high population is a joke. The numbers are either skewed on purpose by anet. Or they are taking into account everybody who ever was on DR and stopped playing gw2 all together. Anybody is free to guest to our server and see what a ghost town it is in every single pve area in lions arch and in wvw. Well maybe your cant guest and see our wvw but ask anybody who has ever played us in the past 6 months.

Already low wvw populations got decimated by anets bad call to announce the winning server will get the best reward. Yet they made a lot of money in gem sales so they considered it a win. There is 0 incentive to transfer to a low ranked server. Our server is either last or next to last NA ranked server and its still like 1k gems to transfer here.

The fact our server DR is considered a high population is a joke. The numbers are either skewed on purpose by anet. Or they are taking into account everybody who ever was on DR and stopped playing gw2 all together. Anybody is free to guest to our server and see what a ghost town it is in every single pve area in lions arch and in wvw.

Been some fun fights in DRBL. We don’t have the people to keep it locked down like ar and dh keep their bl all day so ours is the hot spot. Pretty sad though we had outnumbered buff tonight in our own bl.
