No main here either. Account is as old as the game. Made characters deleted some made new ones. Have a necro may delete it and make another for the reaper which I may actually play more then my others.

They could like totally fix burning. Its blatently op since the stacking change to it. Would ele even still be considered a master class with no need to even take any other like they are right now if they weren’t decent at everything and putting out a ton of burning dmg with a cele amulet. Maybe the new warrior spec will open some eyes.

Take a staff and soul marks trait in just about any build you decide to come up with and you should be ok.

I use a specral build in spvp sometimes I like it very tanky. Lich for 22 seconds if used right can put out alot of dmg. I always take spectral armor. I take grasp if I have guildmates on my team to yank back our target or need a quick 20 LF. I use walk when solo for the innovative ways to use it in 12 seconds. More for sitting on a point being annoying.

Buring way to strong seconded. I thought RS shroud was ok dmg it just needed all the quality of life stuff it should be getting before bwe2. The main difference is the stability oh my lord the stability finally combined with nightfall from gs and I could finally get some stomps.

Well just watched the video and its pretty official. 99% of all thieves now will be able to dash doge and remove chill. Well that sucks.

I really wanted to beta test the new wvw map more than pretty much anything else and It seems to have had only 1 small invite only beta and doesn’t seem to be in BWE 2.

Daredevil looks fun just like reaper is fun. I am starting to have a problem though with almost every class now getting immunity or extra cleansing etc for chill which is kinda supposed to be the reapers thing. Not like any of the new elite specs got remove burning (looking at you warrior) on dodge.

Have to see how that insta gank on downed works. Downed combat is still my number one gripe about this game downed state is awful. The majority of the time whoever I fought in a perfectly even 1v1 and won by downing them is now all of a sudden 10 times stronger while downed. Then there is the fact you have to stealth or use stab to actually get a gank cus every single downed person can stealth teleport interupt etc…

I always try out a Nomad gear pure tank healer no offense build to see If I can make a pure healer that works and can hang in the group in wvw. So far it hasnt worked out but apparently half the traits weren’t even working and hearld might change things.
P.S. The only thing I did find that worked well for the above was a bomb healing engi but that trait seems to be gone now.

Have to see how it is now they said it was bugged before. I used it as a power necro last bwe strictly for the stab and it worked well. I never wanted to fear people away I wanted to pull them all to me :]

I don’t even know how many times I have pulled a downed ally over to me with transfusion and rezed em up. It actually works really well. Great to do it as the enemy goes for the spike u yank em over to safety.

I really enjoyed stronghold because it didn’t pretty much force u to play a tank that just sits on a point doing knockbacks like spvp has been for 3 years.

When I heard each class was getting a new weapon I figured they would act just as the existing weapons. I also found it odd that you have to take the traitline to get the new wep. These weps aren’t supposed to be more powerful then the others or anything so I don’t see why they shouldn’t be just new weapons useable just like existing weps.

I actually like the spectral skills and the trait. Could it use some quality of life improvements sure. I would love to get my 20 life force back even if spectral grasp doesn’t land considering all pull skills in game are iffy.

Ya warrior did look real strong. I want to complain about how much stability he gets but atleast us necros finally will have someway to get a stomp with nightfall and infusing terror so I can’t complain to much I guess. I would still like a usefull reliable blast finisher though the ones we have are trash.

So why does everybody feel anet included that its just not ok to make tier 8 low pop like they actually are and let some people transfer there for free. How could that do anything but help these dead servers in tier 8. Nobody is ever gonna pay money/gems to trasnfer to the lowest servers.

This is what I saw today logging into world selection. Tier 1 Full Tier 2 full and high Tier 3 high medium Tier 4 Medium Tier 5 Medium Tier 6 Medium Tier 7 Medium Tier 8 Medium.

So according to the current population calculations tier 8 has the same amount of wvw activity as Tier 4 and into Tier 3. So really anybody in those tiers want to tell me if you can only get a group of 3-5 together on any boarderland most nights at primetime because thats what we got in tier 8.

I just still don’t see legend swaping as a valid mechanic to get energy back. It would work if we had many more legends to pick 2 from. That way if I want to do 2 dps legends i can instead of I am in shiro putting down some pressure and I get low on energy. Now I am forced to swap into a non dps legend for 10 seconds to get energy back.

So we like don't change colors any more?

Same here but ours won’t change. ET is always gonna be smaller than us so they are red. We are the middle server so we are blue. Then whichever incredibly more populated server they put us against is always green.

I just dont see how any system could possibly calculate my server devonas rest or the only worse off server then us ET as medium pop. Seems to me they just dont want to actually let it say low pop next to a server.

Well just hit world selection to look. Every server was considered medium or higher. So This system obviously isn’t being truthful. My server devona’s rest is about 2 tiers below medium. We aren’t just low pop we are DEAD population.

Same match every week for me. Same color even. Not seeing any new players down here on the bottom of the bottom servers. There are sections of the day/night where we literly have 0 players in wvw.

Have it heal a fraction of the damage of the shout could make it worthy on top of the current trait.

That fits the necro well to have it leech some health from the dmg u did with the shout. Of course I can always prey for like 3 secs of stab on shout use but again me preying.

Posted this in another thread but here is what i think the necro shouts need. A niche like other classes. Ranger trated shouts give swifteness and regen guard trated shouts convert a condi to boon war traited shous aoe heal. Necro needs this to something like convert a boon to a condi on surrounding enemies.

Or I am down for them making the cooldowns all like 20 seconds like your soul is mine that way when traited if your in the mix hitting max targets. Your soul is mine was 13 sec cd if i hit all targets. Shouts might be nice if they had this possible low cd time.

I would like to see one of 2 things. Either the trait for shouts gets a niche like every other class. Lets make some examples. Ranger traited shouts give near perma regen and swiftness to surrounding allies. Guard traited shouts convert a condi to a boon on surrounding allies. Warrior traited shouts aoe heal surrounding allies.
Necro needs a niche like convert one boon to a condi on surrounding enemies when a shout is used.

Or they just need to make all the shouts 20 sec cooldown like your soul is mine. That way when traited its like 12 sec cooldowns then the shouts may be worth it.

I had several of these interesting shadowsteps as well. Read the tooltip and it said he teleports through the mists to the target so maybe working as intended. Would be nice atleast.

Does feel wierd when u win a fight have full energy are getting ready to engage in a new fight and bam instantly back to 50 energy. Maybe make it linger on you for a considerable amount more time before it goes back to 50. Also I think the class just needs more legends total. People want to camp one legend right now cus there is only 1 that does what u want to do. 1 dps legend 1 condi legend 1 healing legend and 1 stability road legend.

When I did try zerker gear on the rev I felt the sword dmg was a little underwhelming as well then I switched to hammer. What co-efficients is this thing using man it hits hard.

I know its the point of the class mechanic but its why it doesnt work. Every other class has the ability to have so much more versatility depending on what heal utilties and elite to the battle. On rev u get basically 2 choices condi one if u a condi build if not shiro then jalis cus the healing one sux and probably always will cus healing sux in gw2.

Instead of listing good and bad Im gonna list what i think the main issue with the whole class mechanic is. On all other classes we pick our heal utlities and elite. Now a large portion of those heals utlities and elites never get touched for a reason they aren’t that good compared to the others. On rev we have only one choice for heals utlities and elite whatever the legend has. We get to pick 2 yes but were always forced into these really sub par heals utilities and elites that we cant change. No matter how much stronger they might make them some people may like a more offense heal for example while some like a defense one so it will never please a large group of people. I like the shiro legend hate hate hate the heal as an example.

Gonna have to agree here. I have found that when traited the shout heal has a 12 second cd when u hit 5 targets so it can actually be up like everytime i come out of shroud. Other than that. The might doesnt stick long enough on your all weaklings. Rise only summons one horror per target this is even worse than seek and destroy shout which i never thought was possible. Suffer chill is to short. Unblockable time is to short as well. Most these shouts give u time do get off all of like 1 attack in the time of the chill/unblockable/might lasts.
Last you need to trait for shouts again to get the reduced cooldowns and give up relentless pursuit which is honestly like better than the new crappy gm reaper traits.

What the hell are you doing during the 5-9 seconds of unblockability that you can only get one attack off?

Your obviously gonna use that time to try to land your bigger attacks like shroud 4 or 5 which your only gonna land 1 or 2 of those attacks in the unblockable time which you probably could have just landed by using the stab from shroud 3 without wasting a utitlity.

General Reaper Feedback

Enjoying playing the reaper. Start with the good. The new melee style f1 shroud is amazing. My reaper looks sick with his greatsword. The dark field on greatsword was a big help to get a stomp if reaper shroud stab wasnt up. The animations of everything new shouts gs skills etc are really nice.

Now for the things I thought needed some love. Reaper shroud 2 skill deaths charge is kinda weird in how it handles. Would much rather it worked like warrior sword 2.
The shouts were just straight up not that great compared to the already decent utilites necro did have. Ranger shout guard traited can give near perma regen and swiftenss. and we got 1 jagged horror if there is only one target close by on a 40 sec cd.
I thought the gm traits were very meh. Deaths charge already has a low cooldown 15% more attack speed meh. The numbers on the gm chill trait are less than the fear trait that makes it do dmg which isnt a gm trait. Blighters boon 1% lifeforce when u get a boon turns out in some builds and group play can be pretty good.

Now for some suggestions on things I think would help.
GS auto attack slightly faster total time or more dmg to compensate.
Gravedigger reverted to insta cd if hitting a target below 50% it already has a huge wind up.
Deathspiral increase range to 300
Nightfall increase range to 600
Grasping darkness increase range to 900 can remove the poison if needed
All the shouts i think just need to have shorter cooldowns so that when you take Augury of death trait the flavor of the traits becomes that they all have super low cooldowns. Your soul is mine is a decent example when traited its up pretty often.
The traits are ok just need numbers adjusted and reapers onslaught I explained above.

If it needs a bump it will get one. Only saw 2 peeps play reaper on the gamescom thing so far. First one didn’t know how to play necro and the second was destroying people to the point they were basically spawn camping the enemy.

Based on what I have actually seen in video of the new elite specials guild halls new spvp map new wvw maps etc.. Most of the stuff actually looks done and just needs polished bug fixes etc. The one thing thats been worrying me is how much of the hot pve stuff is finished cus I havnt seen much of it. I actually feel like we are not to far off.

Why is there even a projectile at all? Doesn’t say anything about one in the tool tip.
Pull your foe to you, chill them, and gain life force.
It should just pull the foe instantly after the 1/2 second cast time. If that time needs adjusted is another debate.

Plain and simple peeps play wvw for different reasons. Some guilds play wvw to do organized pre arranged fights against other guilds and they should have a place to do it in the new map. The map should also cater to other playstyles as well.
On a side note though if the above is what your all about atleast when the guild halls come out you can set up pre arranged fights all day eryday.

eh forgot about them. Not a fan of pet builds. Im down for dropping both bone minion and staff mark blast for something easy and that peeps will use. like gs 5 skill. Or even just a fix so that staff mark blasts when you put the mark down and not when it triggers.
