They just need a five second cutscenes where a dragon lands on, and crushes, Scarlett. That’s all we need to wrap up her storyline and move on.
Ho Ho tron is the best NPC in the game!
I like the living story, although I hate Scarlett. After all, LS gave us Hobo-Tron and who doesn’t love Hobo-Tron?! I do what perm content and expansions in addition to Ls, though.
The medium armor on a human female – the hat looks like a rooster’s head to me and I cant wait to craft it! I’ve been working on hgording the mats for this armor since the pics came out a month or two ago
Am I alone in the belief that 20GB isn’t so much?
Regardless, I’m sure anet would come up with some way of managing the size of the .dat if gobs of perm-content inflated it far beyond what it is now. They’d really need to in order to abate fall-out, don’t you think?
GW1 is the grindiest game I ever played. We spent years laughing about how aNet had called it grind-free.
I’ve killed teq every time I’ve faced him since joining TTS. It’s a great community with great organization and leadership.
I can’t wait for ascended armor!
Maybe anet will give us Scarlett’s death as a winters day gift. It would be nice to wrap that up and start on a new thread with LS in January.
I’m hoping for dwarves. I don’t care lore things blah, I still want dwarves.
I think the problem with the living story is that so much of it see so focus on something so much larger than the format seems capable of delivering. I think of it the same way I think of summer blockbuster movies: as having its virtues but failing I. Trying to tell too big of a story.
I believe that LS would be so much better as a platform for less important world developments – for telling smaller stories, filling in smaller bits of lore, and adding depth and color in places that might benefit from it, not sweeping continent-wide sagas.
Either way, I like content and like seeing content added regularly. That makes me happy.
Aren’t we supposed to dislike her?
I love that she mailed us bombs, that she found joy in trying to cook Lord Farren, and uses such corny turns of phrase such as ‘later tater’. I dislike the evil alliance of the month, that her size is different depending on when and where you see her, and that I just really don’t understand why she’s there.
I don’t really see the point to these reskinned achievements recycled in so many Ls chapters either. I’d really prefer to not be compelled to do such things.
Hobotron is my fav! Simply on the virtue of being Hobotron.
After Hobotron, I suppose Kiel and Rox (Rox, not Rox and Frostbite – Frostbite should be eaten) for the typical reasons.
I thought it was indicative of NPC’s… but having reread it, I have to wonder.
Really pretty sick of her…
Can I get an invite?
I was running gw2 on Wine since launch, up until about a month ago. It ran fine on Wine but, I find the performance advantage on Windoze to be more satisfying
Two of those temple events have been bugged for nearly a week on my server. You’d think they would have reset or fixed them or something before streaming.
A RL friend of mine who I played with regularly quit over the karma changes. He and I both used the karma we earned instead of hording it. Anyway, when they made that recent change that killed acquisition rates, he quit since that change made earning the karma for shards such a problem that it wasnt fun.
This cant come soon enough, IMO. I’ll be glad when she’s gone and LS moves on to something more engaging and less comic-book super-villain
I… didnt find it to be ‘amazing’ by any stretch of the imagination. I’m really just surprised that they’ve drug this scarlet thing out as long and as far as they have.
I want to ride around on an Ettin’s shoulder
Hey ArenaNet,
Please see the attached image. In it is one of the Divinity Guide NPC’s in DR. Please give me his jacket or, through some mechanism, allow me to acquire that jacket in a reasonable way.
Karma starved here as well. Trying to save karma for a legendary but just burned through it for shards for an ascended sword. Those of us who use karma for things instead of hording it shouldnt be punished for using it.
I would like the next set of wings to be paper machete or some other similar “not real” looking thing that DONT flap. The flapping makes me motion sick, thus my current wings sit in storage.
Crystal Desert, the forgotten, White Mantle, Mursaat
500 Eu is more like 680 – 690 USD
I often use an Asus N-Series – i7 cpu, 6gb ram, nvidia 635m – which I paid $750 for. I run with all settings on high at 60+fps
While there are certainly many here who will disagree with me, I would recommend avoiding AMD cpu’s and Intel graphics.
We had four in gw1…
Rifle on ranger
If you want to show off some leg (or midriff, or underboob, or cleavage) on a female toon…
I was dismayed when I learned the human T3 cultural medium armor had underboob – something I learned aftr dropping gold on it.
I’m on alt # 12 right now. This would be nice.
Also, it would be nice if you could put a border around these icons so that they stand out for those of us who are colorblind.
Hi ArenaNet,
It would be nice if you made a diving mask that looked like those old diving helmets – you know the type, the big round brass things with the round glass portholes in it that divers would wear before proper scuba was invented.
This “Alliance-of-the-Month” thing needs to stop. It doesn’t make much sense and each of these large groups of foes sticks up like a popped nail. Give us dragons instead of supervillians.
I don’t know… Maybe 9 or so?
How the hell are we suppose to do the “Hunt the Dragon” achievement without Dulfy? …
Without Dulfy I seriously think it wouldnt have been possible for the general public to get anything done, except maybe the 0.1% most hardcore player in the game.
I did it without Dulfy. I always do these achievements without Dulfy. When I bug a game, I buy it to play it – not to follow step by step instructions in some guide. What’s the sense in that? I also don’t feel I’m a hardcore player…
It seems to be region/overflow specific, so that what people type in queens dale isn’t seen in LA. This makes it mostly useless to me. I’d rather use gw2lfg than hop region to region for ppl lfg for some dungeon
I think she’s real. I just think she bewitched Logan and uses him for her own purposes in a rather negative way that involves leading him on for years. Logan’s never going to get with her. She’s more interested in scheming with the shining blade.
This has been brought up a number of times and I agree fully with perma-stowing pets.
During GW1’s heyday, someone at aNet directed me to address a point I raised at guildwarsguru.com if I wanted the devs to pay attention. I remember being rather disappointed that I would have to use a third party site to address a support concern.
This is why Dulfy doesn’t surprise me. I have nothing against Dulfy but, I don’t use the guides there and am really kind of tired of people instructing me instead of discovering things for myself. Why dont more people prefer figuring things out for themselves?
I want to see a quest that brings users to the EOTN through some other means than those portal stones. I really feel anet erred by not including it.
Thank you for chiming in on this. I appreciate you providing your perspective as an “insider” – it’s very encouraging.
Also, while I’m not a fan of minipets, I would really appreciate a lifesized Hobo-tron minipet – just for the record. Just putting that out there.
Aye, but it would be even better if it was an interactive minipet, like some of those in WoW. Maybe he could speak every so often…
yes, I like that idea. I’ll take one of those, please.
Can’t say much at present, but if I have anything to say about it, players will definitely see Hobo-Tron again.
Because I love that little guy (as a character—as an individual, at least when he was on Southsun Cove, he was a total jerk-bot. Now that he’s fallen on hard times, it remains to be seen which direction his life will take).

I would love new areas but, the one thing I really need right now is a reasonable way to earns gobs of karma. The wvw karma train isn’t cutting it.
I think it’s great that they’re offering these items
I’m disappointed with mine but, I didn’t make it for the skin. The whole water/fog/whatever the footfalls and skill activation clouds are supposed to be seem out of place in the context of a wolf howling at the moon. Also, the thing clips into my leg constantly.
It would be nice if anet did something severe with this one. While I don’t understand the relationship between wolf and snake, it would be nice if this thing wasn’t so monotone.
Dear Arenanet,
You introduced us to Job-o-tron during that LS in Southsun cove. He was really bad at his job and, to make a long story short, wound up becoming Hobo-tron. Living on the mean streets of Divinitys Reach competing with other local street talent.
Anyway, we haven’t seen him since we rescued Faren from Scarett. I hope you haven’t forgotten about this beloved NPC.

Please don’t do this.
This is kind of silly, dont you think?
I don’t see how crafting ascended weapons constitutes a grind. I had my first ascended weapon crafted after something like 8 hours of play. That’s not a grind.
