An 8% difference in WvW is not gamebreaking, especially with the variability of builds, armor sets, levels, etc. There is currently much more variation than that and people do fine.
Play intelligently, and a tier’s difference in stats is pretty meaningless— it already is anyway.
If its so trivial, then why introduce it? You wouldn’t mind losing it then.
You people really have some trust issues. They have officially said that they will not be creating further tiers of armor past this set. I’m sure they’re aware that they can be quoted on such matters. You aren’t wasting anything.
They also said there would not be a vertical gear grind in this game. We took what they said at face value because in seven years worth of GW1 there never was a vertical gear grind. So now that they have shown us that the Manifesto was just a big lie we are supposed to believe them when they say this is the last tier? Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me.

The math was correct. Secondly it excluded combined effects so the bonuses are higher.
Multiple approaches using math indicate that the increase is at least 8%. this really isn’t up for debate.

I don’t want any new gear, ever, to be better than existing Exotics. Fill out more Exotics and add new cosmetic Mystic Forge recipe uniques and Legendaries, but only at the same statistical power level as Exotics. Never, ever higher.

You can’t perma stealth AND do damage. And even if you only do Cnd you are still visible for a short time in which you can easily get tagged. This isn’t an issue anymore on servers where people know what they are doing and what they are dealing with.

Need to make portals color coded by server, take a few more seconds to work, make MUCH more visible and make an obnoxiously loud noise. I can’t even see the portals half the time due to culling and I never see the enemies exploiting the rendering bug.

Lol. What nerf is that exactly? The culling bug gives you almost god like abilities. Perma stealth during combat.

Tip number one: Turn down your settings!
Cannot count the number of times I heard people on TS claim invisible bug. Where I on low settings would simply see hordes of enemies run towards me.
Yes, eye candy is nice. But if it means I get killed by enemies, I prefer to tone down settings and win!
Already on lowest quality/highest performance settings. It doesnt matter. Nice to see that this is getting fixed.
It’s a pvp zone. It’s annoying that people take up precious queue room just for pve in a WvWvW zone.

I can flirt and male players give me nice presents….
rangers cannot send pets into keeps or down from keeps. why can mesmers? rangers must be able to target a surface to aoe, why aren’t mesmers required to do the same?

thieves are getting 2x the benefit out of their stealth right now in wvw. they should be able to lose some utility and be about where they should be.
color code the portals by faction and increase the sound effect and visibility. i can’t even see them half the time to take action. also delay the time from when they are visible and can be used.

Good! Even though we’ve owned the orb, I am sick of the cheaters hacking them.
Thiefs are best able to exploit the broken rendering. It’s not their fault, but they can easily remain stealthed through an entire fight. Ridiculous.
Easy temporary fix – lengthen the re stealth time enough to offset the rendering issue.
Not nearly as bad as Lolhammer or Aion. Aion is an absolute hack fest. Here, is see thieves stealth exploiting (perma stealth while attacking) and glitch hacking into keeps periodically, but every 5 minutes I’d see players openly cheating in Aion. Aion is the laughingstock for cheating.
For those of us who enjoy wvwvw, THAT is the endgame. Each match is different, and the strategies are becoming more complex.
On behalf of Sanctum of Rall, I apologize for those players camping spawn points. It’s poor sportsmanship.
I would have to disagree. It is part of war tactics to keep them locked down and for us to keep scoring points. Its not our fault that the enemy keeps exiting the same path. We’ve been “spawn camped” before and the way around it is to take a different exit and spread out. A common mistake that the enemy usually makes is they go for a base that is near their spawn. This will only bring the zerg to it and once captured return to the enemies spawn area. What they need to do is coordinate and take a base that will break up the zerg at spawn such as capturing base that is further away. Make the zerg travel away from the spawn area. Travel through water or sides of the map. This is what we did when SoS had us on lock down at spawn. Instead of trying to fight it out we had to try something else and it worked. I don’t understand why you guys think its poor sportsmanship. Its part of the game, its not hacks or cheats, we want to score as much points as possible and prevent the enemy from scoring any points. WvWvW is all about the points. If we want to rise to tier 1 or 2 we need to have a competitive attitude. Again its not our problem that the enemy server is not able to coordinate properly or is outnumbered. In the future if we are the ones being locked down (my choice of words for spawn camped) the last thing I care about is an apology from the opposing server, the first thing I would like to happen is we turn our brains on and team up to figure out a plan that will work. This is just my opinion.
I think it’s quite unnecessary and showing poor sportsmanship. Beating an enemy into the ground isn’t being competitive. It’s being a poor sport.

An open letter to the non-NA’s on Sea of Sorrows (ie Oceanics etc).
You put out the call to your server for NA guilds. You touted your WvW tenacity and ability and wanted help to make SoS more competitive in WvW. [PRX] and other NA guilds (RMA, FoE, TSym, AoI etc) answered the call and many of you welcomed us in a friendly fashion.
…
And then frankly, the non-NAs kitten it all away for candy corn.
To conclude, this is a request to those on SoS. If you are a WvW player and/or guild, show your heart and get out there and fight. Losing after putting up a good fight is nothing to be ashamed of, but losing because you’re afraid to fight or because of silly candy corn is unacceptable if you wish your server to be good at WvW. Your NA guilds will find a server with some sisters and brothers that will actually stand with them in a scrap.
My sincere hope is that last night was just an anomoly and you come to your senses and realize SoS can be an up and coming WvW server and you get back to fighting.

May I be frank? I find your position to be a bit presumptuous. You are new to the Sea of Sorrows, and I think you would be wise to stop, look and listen, before you presume to have suzerainty over our children here. To be blunt, I feel that you haven’t earned it, and I find your tone a bit overweening.
In my culture, Halloween is akin to a religious observance. We worship the gods of the harvest, and Halloween is sacred to us. We dress our children in festive clothing and celebrate the Day of the Dead to see out the spirits and welcome the bounty of the mother goddess. Pumpkins are never to be eaten. It’s opprobrious in our culture to defame Halloween.

Great fights. The only complaint I have is that the culling/rendering bug can be leveraged (kinder word than exploited) to advantage certain tactics. very frustrating to have 50+ enemies suddenly on you with certain guilds always the ones appearing out of no where. Not their fault. Anet should fix the bug.
