Signets would be good if you didn’t lose the passive when activating a signet. I don’t understand the reason for this. I don’t see any signet for any class becoming overpowered from a change like this. This would make Healing Signet viable, and a lot of unusable Signets would become contenders for your utility slot.
Warrior is the hardest to play because you don’t want to play it. If you’re not with an organized team, no matter what trait/weapon/sigil/rune/amulet combos you go with, it’s a painful experience AT BEST.
I play a Necromancer and Engineer. They take some practice, but are very rewarding. Where as Warrior makes you want to cry.

Warrior F1 skills need some work. Every class has multiple F abilities, why are we stuck with one? Every weapon set should have an offensive and defensive/utility ability to let us spend adrenaline on. It would give more depth to the Warrior!
Dand offered very nice suggestions!. Banners are EXTREMELY clunky. One of the worst things about banners, is when you have it equipped in combat, and you drop it. Your weapon swap is put on cool down. This feels just wrong! Banner of Tactics. With a Clerics amulet the small heal only heals for 900. Not to mention the regeneration it provides only stacks duration with Inspiring Battle Standard. Not even worth using! Banner of Defense should be changed to Banner of Knock back and RUN AWAY!. Good luck using your banner as a blast finisher, because by the time you pick it up and plant it, the combo field is most likely gone.
Resilience doesn’t exist because bunkers would never die.
The problem with this game is that balanced builds are not viable. You either go one extreme for burst, or you go the other extreme for bunkering.
1200-1300 toughness won’t get you anywhere; 1800 toughness will. 1650 power won’t scratch anyone — 1900+ will.
20% crit chance on a build with no fury access is a waste of stats.
They need to reduce the extremes — bring down the scaling of damage, especially berserker stats, and in turn tone down self healing and the protection boon for bunker specs.
Funny that you mention this because i’m experimenting with a Warrior build that gives me 1900 toughness, 1600 power, and about 15% crit without fury. Good thing for me It uses longbow and blast finishers to give me might stacks, and I also get fury. So there are times I walk around with 1900 power + 1900 toughness + additional condition damage + 40% crit with fury + banner. The only problem? I’m still a Warrior. I’m using Warhorn too for condi removal and mobility. I also use 1 banner for healing + sprint. If the Warrior had a better heal skill to choose from, and banners weren’t so clunky, this would actually work. IMO every class needs there healing tweaked.
Which content? In PvE, warrior has:

I fixed that for you. Guardian has 10x the sustainability, and access to most boons in the game.
PvP has been steadily growing since the release of leaderboards and custom arenas.
When you’re playing in tournaments, people will be competitive. But the enemy player talking trash in that manner was unacceptable. You should have just reported him. I don’t know any decent players that call other players “garbage” when they win, that’s as low as you get on the sportsmanship ladder.
They should just make them slightly larger. I have trouble fighting Asura Mesmer, Engineer, and Guardian. You just cannot tell what they’re doing.
Im trying to get into spvp now but it is just so slow and boring. lvl 7 at the moment and it takes about 5-6 games to lvl one. The only reward I get from leveling is gear skins that kinda look different? Rubbish. I try to level a few levels a day but Im sick of start a game. go capture point a then b fight over c oops they ninja capped a and b. do it again. I take my guardian and I rarely die as a tanky build. So to spice things up I usually try to run into 4-5 of the enemy and see how long I can troll em while team caps everything else.

It gets more fun past level 10. You should concentrated more on v 5v5s and duel servers, and look for a team for tournies when you’re comfortable with your class. Leveling gets a lot slower after level 10. Tournaments are really the only thing worth it in pvp. Even then, you still don’t get rewards for your team rating, which you should.
People still 8 v8? I can’t stand getting zerged. Atleast 5 v 5 you have a chance if you get caught out of position.
Every time I play my Warrior I end up frustrated and remember why I don’t play it. I try to use anything other than GS/Axe/Shield. I really do not feel like much of a threat running Hammer + Axe/Shield. I’d be much more effective on my Engi or Necro.
What XII is trying to get at is that quickness for Warriors has the most collateral damage, while other classes have some way to mitigate the negative effect.
I Welcome Necro and Warrior buffs. It could change the meta dramatically, and give us all new builds to play.
The class i’m most scared of receiving buffs is Mesmer. They’re already extremely hard to fight against, and super effective in team fights.
I believe there is a correlation between length of cool down on abilities and utilities, and class viability. Classes with shorter cool downs can use abilities multiple times in a fight. Look at Warrior and Necromancer, and you will see most of their good utilities are on very long cool downs. They will almost never come back up twice in a fight. Look at Ele, Mesmer, and Engineer, and you will see they have very short duration cool downs. They’re some of the most versatile classes right now. Yes Fear Me is too long of a cool down. I also think Warrior having only one F key ability is a factor as well, but that’s not on topic.
Oh its awful now. I die every time I come out of it using Self Regulating Defenses. I’d change the thread title broski!
Crystalline Dust should be abundant because it’s a dust. Every other dust is abundant, why not Crystalline? It’s used in A LOT of recipes, and there is no reason for the drop to be so low. Players should have the option to farm a particular mat, that is something this game lacks, and to me it needs to be changed.
Do any of you see a rune choice that you really wish you could make work, but know you’d just be gimping yourself? Some runes are too situational and could really use some changes. While others are flat out boring.
Same for Sigils. I’m looking at you Nullification and Purity. What if they removed 2 conditions or 2 boons every 10 seconds, instead of 1. Would they be viable? A Warrior struggling with condition removal could benefit from Superior Sigil of Purity. But in it’s current state, it won’t do the job.
Sigil of Rage – CD is way too long for the nerfed frenzy effect.
Sigil of Water – This heal is weak,. I don’t know any bunkers that run this.
Sigil of Might – You might get 3 stacks of might during a fight if you’re lucky. CD too long for 1 stack of might.
Superior Speed – That Swiftness proc will do you a lot of good when you need to cap that point after you kill someone.
Demon Summoning – This would benefit Minion Masters, but there are far better choices. 26 stacks to summon a minion? Outrageous
Sanctuary – I guarantee if you ever do hit 26 stacks, the invuln will be wasted MOST of the time.
Debility – Might be useful when Weakness gets buffed, we’ll see.
Peril – You need a lot of vulnerability for this to be a viable choice. There are much better options. Wouldn’t mind seeing this buffed to 15% at least.
I know Arena Net has their hands full at the moment, and would get around to this eventually, but I wanted to throw it out there.
Oh man this is perfect. I’m really looking forward to the next patch. Even more then I was before the latest information from the tournament chat. Finally we’re getting the patch we deserve.
As soon as the Warrior is spotted, he is dead meat. Ever lose a 1 v1 to a Warrior when you got better with your class? If you did, then you were playing with one hand. Dodge their super telegraphed initial burst, and it’s an even greater up hill battle for them.
I think Supply Crate is awesome in tPvP. Other elites should be more like Supply Crate.
This trait reads . All heal skills recharge when health reaches 25%. Using my healing turret, my healing skill won’t recharge until well below 25%. with 16,500 HP, my turret should recharge at about 4,000 HP, but it doesn’t recharge until i’m at around 2,000 or lower.

I just hope Corrosive Poison Cloud becomes awesome. Right now its about as effective as a fart.
You’ll just have to learn the class animations by either playing the class, or facing against them. Examples.
Greatsword Mesmer raises his hand = Illusionary Berserker incoming. Dodge that.
Mesmer has a pink glow in between his hands = Moa incoming. Moa looks very similar to Mantra casts and its only a 1 second cast, very hard to dodge, but you need to dodge it.
Warrior switches to shield, he probably has an Axe. Get ready to look for an Eviscerate. Dodge this and its game over for the Warrior, sadly.
Player has low health and raises his hand, he’s casting a heal, interrupt this.
Thief – Stay mobile, if hes stealth, don’t let him get a backstab on you. Try to stay away from him so he can’t get a Cloak and Dagger off. Thief is probably the hardest burst to dodge.
Remember different weapons do different things, so you’ll have to pay attention to what weapon set the player has out. It’s difficult to tell fighting an Asura, and very easy to see on every other class.
They should change the kit packs to look more visually appealing, and putting a “buff” on us that lets us know what kit we have on. Sort of how Elementalist attunements show up.
Flamethrower is good, Elixir gun needs some help..in multiple departments, Grenade Kit should give you an over shoulder grenade belt. Bomb Kit should be a back pack with the same model as Big Ol’ Bomb, Tool Kit I don’t have an idea for, but its the ugliest of all.

Hmm I tried to test this in the Mists. Using Shaman amulet which puts me at around 569 Healing Pow. the Healing Turret heals for 2805, and Cleansing Burst heals for 2805..according to the tool tip. But in actuality the Cleansing Burst only heals me for 2520. When I drop my Healing Power, Cleansing Burst heals for the same 2520. Looks like Cleansing Burst is not affected by Healing Power. Looks like a bug.
I’d play Symbol DPS Guardian, BM Ranger, Thief, Mesmer, S/D Ele, and Node Fighter Engi.
Warrior and Necro will just leave you frustrated. Ranger, Thief, Mesmer, and Ele are good because you can disengage when out numbered, and are very mobile. I like to play hotjoins on Engi to practice 2 v 1 scenarios. Symbol DPS Guardian is a lot of fun. It’s a bruiser build with some decent suitability that a Warrior wish he had : ( Bunker Guadian will leave you frustrated too, because you cannot count on your team.

Lighter that is a good suggestion. 30 points in Discipline increases your damage by 3% per boon on your target.
I like the ideas that were thrown around the last SotG and I think Warrior will get some nice changes.
Today Ive used plague a bunch and something new is hapening that never did before.
I am geting kicked out of plague as soon as i get hit by CC.
I enter plague and after about 5 seconds cc’d then plague just ends on its own.
is this a bug/change/exploit. what is going on with this?
Are you doing WvW or PvP? Thief or Necro stealing your Stability boon would cause this.

Thanks for sharing your build. I just want to add that setting up your burst is a very good way to set yourself apart from other Necros. Instead of just using all your weapon abilities as soon as theyre off CD, set them up with fears when their utilities/heal is on CD, and you’ll quickly drop your target.
Can you just combine both traits while youre fixing it?

Yesterday during the tournament the Devs in chat were getting bombarded with Necromancer and Warrior questions. They said they’re both being seriously looked at for the next balance pass, and that we can expect some changes next month. ANet unfortunately moves rather slow, but i believe them when they say they’re on it. There were also 2 Necromancer developers in HotM yesterday, probably testing some things. They want Necro to be as viable as we do.
Although this will never happen, I like the idea of having minions work like illusions. The minions in their current state would obviously be too overpowered for F keys. But it would feel a lot more Necromancer-esque to see minions popping out of the ground on weapon skill and F key usage. I personally feel that minions were implemented poorly. But its too late for an overhaul. Obviously Necromancer traits are built and balanced around Death Shroud, so there is no way they’ll remove it.
I play a Necro but this is very good news for Warriors. We’re both getting a serious look next balance pass!
Necros will be getting some love after this next bug fix patch. Sucks having to wait another month, but its better than never. At least we were acknowledged.

Interview with John, Grouch, Bas, Curse, and Towerdive. They mention how they realize the solo que is a problem and they’ll be fixing it in the near future. Plus SotG is coming up next week, and i’m sure it will be addressed there as well. They know we don’t like how the system works, so i’m sure it will be fixed soon.

flat damage reduction on weakness would make classes with easy access to both weakness and protection insanely OP (hint: d/d elementalist)
I doubt a few seconds of damage reduction, which can be cleared easily since everyone runs condi clear, would be OP.
This would be a non issue if ANET would implement rewards for personal/team ratings. Give us armor/weapons for top 1000, 500, 100, etc.
Add flat damage reduction to weakness, and you’ve essentially killed warriors. They won’t be able to burst(and they got problems with it even now), and would still be worse bunkers than guardians, simply because of no protection, and no sustain, which is essential for any kind of bunker spec.
Careful with what you are suggesting, warriors are tired of being underdogs for almost a year now. This kitten would kill the only spec warriors are semi viable with, and wouldn’t add enough to cover that loss.
I don’t see how buffing a condition to give damage reduction kills off Warriors. There are not a lot of abilities and traits with Weakness. It would be just another tool to help mitigate high burst, and pvp right now has a lot of burst.
Making weakness a short duration anti burst condition would be perfect. Making a flat damage reduction like in Guild Wars would be nice. Necromancer has a lot of access to weakness, but right now it’s not a threatening condition. Necromancer Corrosive Posion Cloud (currently underpowered) and Enfeebling Blood could be used defensively if Weakness gave better damage reduction. Drop that CPC on point and your enemies burst is negated if they choose to stand there. Imagine a 100b Warrior comes charging in, you pop into DS for Weakening Shroud, his burst has dwindled. Thief getting ready to backstab you cast Enfeebling Blood in anticipation, boom his 6k crit is now 3k. Right now Boons>Conditions. Conditions really need help.
IMO there are not enough amulet choices. Some bunker Guardians might rather have more precision with their Clerics amulet, because they get Vigor on crits. There are not enough 4 stat amulets. There are three 4-stat amulets, and six 3-stat amulets. Then you have Celestial amulet which is an abomination. I think having endurance regen % as a stat would be very nice as well. It would indirectly make Weakness more useful, which is currently a mediocre stat. I know that we can mix and match the jewels in amulets, but jewels don’t give enough of a stat boost. Bunkers are not un killable but fights can be drawn out. I think of anything, offensive stats are much stronger than defensive stats.
