Egads, please make them mutable before enabling them in wvw! I want to be able to hear skills being used in wvw, but I will turn down sound effects to zero if groups are running around with 10+ people blowing these horrible horns. For me, they ONLY make the game less enjoyable.

the GOOD news is the horns root you when you use them so if the person wants to run with the safety of the zerg. he or she cant use the horn or they will stop. spread their feet. and blow the horn while being left. that’s a pretty good fix to allow folks to use em but not follow you around dinging it in your face like the bell.

check the tab. it will say 2 found/ it does not pop up an achievement but gives you credit. if you talked to him it will say 2 found

It blows my mind. They have two switches. One is brag, the other is whine about 2v1.

BG you guys do nothing but complain. The firs time you ever stepped foot in T-1 you jumped in, ran around attacking everything, pushed massive numbers and chest thumped more than any server I have ever seen. You got sent back to T-2 with many many cries of 2v1 its not fair!
History repeats itself and you’re back in T-1 now doing the exact same thing. If you win, it’s because you’re the most skilled. If you lose it’s because we are cheating and using unfair 2v1 tactics to keep you down.
I will say, with all honesty, that I used to sort of root for you. But now, I will entice everyone on the map with me to push you every chance we get because of the chest thumping/crying game. Page one of this thread was filled with BG pomp and bragging when you were 10k+ ahead of everyone. Now RUIN is posting rant letters about 2v1 and unfair practices? If memory serves me, RUIN was the ET guild that left to go PVD in some EURO server then claimed they were the best undefeated guild in GW2. Why is it that now they are getting trashed, the game sucks and SoR is creating MegaBlobs. Do none of you remember SOS? I believe they initiated the whole Megazerg, JQ adapted and BG adapted.. When SoR entered the mix, we had to adapt to it also. Just fight hard and enjoy yourself. If you lose, try again.

MERC STILL wants to cap something on SOR bl. That battle of the bay has lasted for hours now.

Yes, I grinded until my fingers bled yesterday and got 302 candies. I did quick math and IF i were to get 1000 candies a day. it would only take me 100 days to get enough for the wings. I’d really like to get a redname to weigh in on this ridiculous feat and demand. That Anet Math that also thought it would be an amazing idea to place T-1 champion wvw server against the T-3 champion… cause you know. they both won their respective tiers so they MUST be close enough!!!

Blackgate once told us in a matchup thread, “We’ll treb your little supply camp” – and who can forget, “That’s too much siege, said no one from Blackgate ever.” (Don’t get me wrong, I love Blackgate, but those phrases have always made me giggle!) Honestly, you haven’t seen anything until you’ve seen the 13-14 golems roll through. That is true TC style!

Alas we aren’t used to BG saying anything but SoR is cheating, playing unfair, using 2v1, or a megazerg that is out to get them.

and to all the other posts about the new rating system. prepare for the typical PlayNC game response.. “Working as intended”. They will never admit failure.

This matchup is beginning to suck. When TC and SOS are out in force, its a ton of fun, sadly, SoR as a server just completely outmans those two and its impossible to get in passed the hour+ long queues.

ANet, I know switching it up is ‘hip and cool’ and whatever, but when you forcefully change matchups to boring meaningless ones between a stacked server and a non-stacked server(s), youre doing everybody who enjoys WvW on those servers a disservice.

Or you could unstack servers.. idk just a thought..

I could be wrong but wasn’t FoE a SOS server? You guys were in NO hurry to unstack when SOS was the unbeatable T-1 champs. In fact all I heard was SOS outplays everyone, get better.

I think MERC is one of the only guilds left who do /laugh after taking a keep. Every single time they’ve managed to take a keep or tower, my chat is polluted with “Blackgate Soldier laughs with you” blah blah blah. It could be the pugs following you guys, I’m not sure, but honest to god, it’s such a bad look when it happens. Now, I’m not sure if you’ve had it done to you by other guilds or zergs or what not, but yeah, if I may take an exert from your own recruitment form:

Now, I’m not sure if this is something encouraged by your commanders, or something the odd member does. I welcome the double team because it’s more action. As amazing as it sounds, farming bags gets old quickly. Sometimes a wipe is more fun than wiping the opponent.

The only thing that irks me is how big of hypocrites Blackgate is for constantly complaining about 2v1 when it wasn’t happening every single time they are in T1 and then see them stand side by side with JQ. Has nothing to do with WvW. It’s just the poor attitudes that plague these forums that are becoming annoying.

I can guarantee Blackgate would be rushing to these forums if we stood side by side with JQ and took their Garrison.

But, I hope people see these pics and know of this event, because then the games population won’t dwindle by going to the guild graveyard servers.

This actually did happen this week. JQ on the east and SoR on the west and didnt attack each other. JQ breaks into inner, and SoR stays at inner gates stopping BG from getting in. JQ caps it and SoR leaves. SoR member /laughs, I sighed, and nobody on BG posted this on the forums.

I was there for this. We let JQ cap it because we couldn’t cap it because of the skill lag. It was atrocious in there. 1 skills weren’t even firing. We figured it was best to let JQ have it and then cap it from them afterwards.

I thought it was because im hugable. I have witnessed both servers let me cap an objective while they stand to the side just to clean upgrades on an objective. I figured the other servers just like giving me things.

We actually play Jedbacca games on SoR. Hit me up ingame sometime and I’ll letcha know which Jedopoly game we’re playing at the moment.

I played for several months on Blackgate server and now I’ve spent a little over two weeks on SoR and I have to say that I think there are some pronounced differences between the way each server operates on multiple levels so it’s turned out to be more than just forum rhetoric.

Interesting, what do you think are the biggest differences? I always imagine SoR is more militaristic.

I’ve played on SBI and SoR. Both have been T-1 champs, and I will say that I enjoy SoR immensely more than SBI. Granted SBI had a lot of fun players and I miss them dearly, but SoR seems closer in terms of bonding. I can ask ANY guild for help and will never receive the answer “we’re busy we can’t help sorry” or any other version of bugger off we dont help others. If the guild isn’t able to come, they explain why and offer other solutions. Priorities are often discussed and decisions are made on a grand scale rather than one persons egotistical opinion. There’s a few tough nuts here, but all in all we’re a pretty decent family. At the end of the day , unity goes farther than having vastly greater numbers of individuals running their own agendas.

For SOR, you might wanna fill in CRNG, SYN, LOD, SIN, TIME, MORD, VNG , GoDs,USA, SPQR, PD,SEC, LO? These are some of the guilds i took notice of when running in wvw, not sure their timezone. Maybe their not playing anymore, not sure. But some of them i do still see them on the forums and in game.

Don’t forget COV, MORD runs with them and we don’t have a set timezone. we play all times all hours.

I’ll agree. the new system made things worse. Unf teh way PlayNc and Anet work is they will let it go on rather than admit mistake and shove false praise down our throats telling us its what we wanted…

Can the increased range on AC mastery reach the Lord’s room? Cause that’s where the siege was that was getting hit. And if so, that is broken. You should not be able to hit the Lord’s room with an AC on the gate.

Yes. with the new ac range point reward thing you can hit some pretty incredible distances. just because there’s something you’ve never seen before doesn’t mean it’s a hack or cheat.

SoR had a dormant wvw population, just that they showed up more often because of higher morale, just like JQ’s and BG’s.

nono you got this all wrong. all of us that moved to SoR when it was in T-2 “bandwagoned” . This was highly wrong. now that it’s summertime and a lot of us are able to play again, and SoR is doing well, we are fair weather players , which is wrong too. I cant believe we were so clkitten to move to the server that was NOT already in T-1 and help a T-2 server out. We also cheat a lot by using arrow carts and playing smart. All of which when used by Rallians, prove we are evil creatures and dont play fair, but when used by JQ and BG, are absolute proof they are better than anyone else.

On a serious note, I’m still looking for that demonic asura cuddles. I have a big ol pillow im going to smother you with…

Pardon me for not being fully coherent, I’m still really sick. My apologies for not being around in game for you lovelies.

My team moved to JQ due to the lack of NA prime coverage at the time. If we were to move to SoR at that time we would have created even more of a hell for queue times. I truly considered SoR at first based on the fact that I liked working with Miasmic when we first started in SBI together. It’s always nice to work with friends, but it made more logical sense to move to a team that could actually use the assistance in the timezone where I am active.

Plus, at that time we still felt as though we owed SoS guilds more punches in the mouth for bringing 2-4 guilds at us at a time every night while we were on SBI. We coined a term “bring more guilds” because of SoS. Also, at that time JQ was not the winning server yet, but we felt as though we could assist with that. Regardless of how everything is panning out now with a weaker NA coverage as an NA server, we’re still having a blast on JQ and really love the community. I’m sure it’s pretty much on par with BG and SoR’s core WvW community.

Anyway, sick Jed out, I’ll be back to strapping people backwards on the front of my van naked and driving through corn fields soon, I promise!

I’m glad we have such respectable opponents like Jed and SF. SF is one of the guilds I always look forward to meeting in WvW.

Trying to run havoc and every yak I come across has anywhere between 5-15 SOR players standing right near the yak, I try to flip a camp but I have to kill 10 mesmers first and then there guild mates who come running in for backup after Ive killed a couple of them. Sure, there are some fun fights, nothing like killing six players whilst running solo, but at the end of the day I think its pretty skritt.

Yes. The Meta event and Karka Queen world boss will be a permanent event added to Southsun, and it’s drop will be permanent as well.

One of the core problems of the island was the lack of events. I’;d hoped to solve that by adding an island wide Meta event and a world boss.
However it is NOT out until next week. We’re actively working on modifying our patch notes.
