I could type a book about this epic hour and a half long fight for the bay we just had on SBI BL with SOS. SOS guys, how awesome was that?!?!
AGG guys, the ending of this could have been yours if you weren’t so predictable. I had my team stand outside the supp camp and build AC’s and as soon as you portal bombed out, we were rained down on ya.
Anyway. That was one fight I’ll never forget. No cheats, no exploits. Just brute strength and strategy on BOTH sides.

The non-score thread is a good idea but I don’t think it needs to be weekly. Perhaps think about making this a permanent thread and just call it Tier 1 non-score discussion.

If you want to segment weekly affairs you can just post in the thread with a reply that states Week of 12/7 below or something.

That way we can have one static thread that encompasses all the non-score issues and lets people read through previous week discussions more easily.

That’s a good idea.. Next week I will Start up a new thread without the week title. We can run that thread until someone moves down / our of T-1. This was the only way we could avoid overmoderation on the other thread…which is a bit sad to say.

I don’t he was intentionally trying to SoS, but instead speaking generally about these no loyalty server hoppers that use the “want a new experience” excuse.

It’s a terrible idea. Think of the game as real life. Why would an army leave a a high ranking officer (Commander) to guard supplies? The guard scaling is fine.

Tie between Culling and arena net giving a crap about wvw and listening to us.

Anyone that’s in first place for any length of time says the same thing… then the inevitable toxicity and complacency sets in. It’s cost many a good server in the end. I hope you can maintain it, just be prepared for the bandwagoners to flood in and start killing your morale. Tonight, on SBI, we had 3 or so guys screaming over and over for everyone to bring supplies to the Jump Puzzle because JQ was camping it. They would NOT stop. When confronted they began to attack the commanders and our servers skills to the point it became hard to do anything until we reported and blocked them. If you haven’t received similar people yet, enjoy when their ship arrives.

And naw. My cossie stays the same color because I’m that amazing <3

You can trade the blueprints to other characters.
Do this. get a trusted buddy. go to a corner in wvw. double click the print. push the green arrow down to the left of your number 1. have him pick it up. then push option 2 to store the print. now he has it. repeat process if you want it back on an alt.

I’m sorry to hear this guys. Although we didn’t have a major guild leave us per se, we lost a LOT of numbers from the major guilds. WM lost hundreds of players, LoD is prepping to leave. I’m not in any way making excuses, or saying knew it would happen…but the First Place curse seems to strike just as you’re settling in to your well deserved throne.

Keep fighting with the determination you had. Don’t let them dishearten you.

To me, this sounds like hes saying.. In February we will announce our plans for a wvw change, but nothing will be ready or available IN February.

I absolutely cannot knock this behavior. The JQ are under the outmanned buff, and are being chased by a huge zerg most likely. This is a very viable strategy, to attack and run back to the area and hold out hoping to wipe out a few that stand there and fight… I’ve done it, lots of people have. One night it was me and 2 other SBI’s on the entire map. We held 40 JQ at that spot for over 30 minutes and I racked up like 10 kills. Sure it’s a gray area, but It’s not a blatant game changing exploit. As the other guy said. You have 2 options there. Fight and die, or walk away. They can camp that area for 66 days and It wont affect the game in any way or help one side win.

ive found that you get more BOH for applying the finisher. so whenever I can I will do this over manually attacking.

I played COH for 6 years. we had scheduled maintenance once a week. they let us know well in advance when and where it was happening so we could plan accordingly. the issue i have here is that at ANY given moment you will be given 3 minutes or less warning that a new build is coming and that’s it. If you’re mid dungeon or fractal. tough kitten. same with wvw. lets say you dropped 7g worth of siege to take a keep…and are JUST about to cap the lord and take the keep.. new build. you lost the 7g AND all the hard work to get the keep. unless it’s an emergency issue. why not schedule it so we can know when its gonna be so we dont lose lots of time/money/effort?

for such a new game, the support and attitude of the owners of this one is terrible. They drop servers for any reason any time of the day, and dont seem to care who is affected by it. Try messaging support and you wont receive a reply. Question or discuss the problem here and your post is deleted and you’re told to email the same email you tried before, which goes unanswered. Its like a maze of ineptitude and lack of care. This is really bad for a rookie game less than 4 months old.

The transfer window should be optimal soon. It is a fair trade… we gave you [CC] and we get [SF]. As a bonus, [MORD] gets a puppy. We all bundle.

If SF transferred to JQ, the devastation that would ensure would shake the foundation of the game. SOS would fall. BG would become the RP server, WVW would fall out into Lions Arch and the GMs would have to unleash a legendary ascended ultimate sword to the chosen one to bring them down.

On another note.. anyone else not able to log in?

All NPCs that took part in this misadventure need to be sent a clear signal that this kind of behavior is in violation of their programming and will not be tolerated.

Jedbacca will be taking them out behind the barn tonight and shooting them in the face. This sort of NPC behavior will not be tolerated on SBI.. We apologize to any JQ player these rogue NPC injured or harmed.

it has been brought to the servers leaders that there is a hacking/exploiting Mesmer and we are in the process of taking care of it.

This is the sort of inner policing we need on all servers. Thanks for the immediate and quick attention to the issue. It does mean a lot to us all.

Just get the rune of the ogre and when you are attacked you spawn a rock dog. theres other variations of this one too but those pets are nice.

I’m left wondering what happened to SBI.

So, we breach QL. I drop a portal, run behind all the ballistas, and drop portal. No one took it. 20 players butchered without hope due to siege and their own folly.

I drop portal at breached SM inner, run all the way into SM center to find all of SoS, tons of siege, and JQ running absolutely amok. So I drop a portal behind the siege before lag and whatever gets me whacked.

I got called a “Noob kitten mesmer” for not dropping at a ramp. Wanna know what was on the ramp? Ballista, several ACs, and a bunch of AoEing SoS. There was no getting there.

A player ran away from Vlad and me while we manned ballistas and got killed outside of range by entering Dane alone while several SoS were there.

Got downed and port’ed to the feet of a bunch of ULers. They instead of attempting to help anyone at all just left us to die and they were over run shortly after.

This degradation of SBI is disheartening. We’re NOTHING we used to be. We suffered a lot of Korean losses, a bunch of NA losses, and now we need to pull together yet all anyone seems to do is drift. HUGE shout out to Jang Un (I think sorry if misspelled!) who has done a great job herding the Korean zerg along side the English speakers.

In my humble opinion we do not deserve to be in Tier 1 until we relearn the basics.

A lot of the SBI core are doing some mystic yoga soul searching right now. The issues going on with some of the toxic players transferring to sbi during our presidency and the evil shady terrain users have all but broken some spirits. We still have some of the super dedicated that will fight Ragnarok till Odin comes…but the days of us having a herd of WM 300 strong seem to be a thing of the past thanks to some broken promises that were made when we picked up a lil box that said GW2.
