Overflows aren’t just for a dumping ground for WvW goers during a reset or a build. People are also directed into an overflow when your home server’s map (in this case, or almost all cases, Lions Arch) has reached maximum capacity.

So like always SBI got 2v1ed. We were down to Veloka and our keep. While we were fighting JQ zerg in Veloka, the SoS zerg skip our keep and came attack us from behind. After killing most of us, SoS pulled back and let JQ finish the job.

I wasn’t there but its something I would do. Hit the team that is coming 2nd place. Especially since you’ve had that thief of yours constantly jumping the keep walls and flipping them. Seeing a SBI name tag just reminds me of him.

Props to StrikeForce (SF) because I believe they will not defend a tower he has flipped. I tip my hat to your sportsmanship.

Thank you sir, we do not promote any of that game play so much that we have actually relocated our whole team to different maps because of this. I want nothing near an SF tag that may give someone the thought that we play like that. We prefer proper kittening people, not backdooring with shady tactics.

other than that its been a good battle this week. People are feeling the drain of summer holidays (SoS being a oceanic server) you will not see many of us on next week. I predict we will be beaten extremely badly with most of us heading off on holiday to beaches etc.

It’s been about 2 weeks from a mass reporting. I am shocked his account hasn’t been banned yet. At this point, I don’t think Anet gives a kitten about WvW.

I think he’s wanting to get banned to prove a point. while I don’t condone what he does, I understand. his reasoning is that if he can get enough people to call attention to it, they will have to fix it. there’s no real rush to ban people that abuse the terrain as proven time and time again. Anet is sending a clear message that it’s ok.

So i’d say that come feb you will see a massive exodus of wvw players from this game. defiantly terrible news for us. but again, expected from play nc who never could seem to get that their real focus should be on making players happy… not themselves.

Can SoS commanders please try and tell players not to exploit into other servers spawn areas. There are literally 8-10 SoS constantly jumping into our spawn up by the portals on SoS BL right now. I know there’s not much they can do, but if they hear about it, please tell them to stop.

Main offenders at the moment are players from AFS and QH. Quaggan heroes and I forgot what AFS stands for.

While it is not an exploit to make it up into spawn, walljumping into it is. While you can’t actually kill players in there, you can troll them by killing seige (unmanned golums) and vendor NPC’s. If you have evidence that is credible, please send it directly to arena-net and contact the GM’s of the guilds involved.

CHIPS, what you are seeing is probably Jedbacca and SF. That’s the strat they use when the camp is going to absolutely be flipped and they know its not savable. they will drop rams and waste supplies to deny the enemy a nice camp. last I checked the yak can walk thru anything,

Found some more lost souls that ‘accidentially’ ported into the sbi start area and found themselves trapped on an inaccessible ledge behind our ports. Looks like a TEO commander… and is that a Ruin exile I see??!!

this thread is spot on, and I guarantee Habib, Chris, or the other rednames will ignore it. When they created wvw they just tossed out random numbers, slapped some glue on it and chucked it out there and hoped for the best. if something breaks, “oh well not that many people wvw anyway”. already we have lost a sizable portion of the wvw community and having silly unrealistic titles is just another sprinkle on the cake of failure.

When I say in the middle of a siege, I mean that the guild that I am in has placed at least 2-4 guild in siege to bomb a wall or door, not to mention the repair costs to our armor trying to get the supply camps, etc etc etc. on sunday night, we were literally going on hour 4 to get into a bay and BOOM, no more. They are killing WvW with all these little petty updates.

Seriously Anet. Please coordinate with nytehex and his guild and plan your updates accordingly. Only update when they’re being besieged not when they’re attacking.

snarky comments aside, this is a rather end game problem anet needs to address before they lose the hard core wvwers. despite their excuse of it wasnt done in time, there really is no reason why they cant put an advanced warning into play. they have one that works for inside dungeons/fractals. why cant they use that in wvw? as shown by the many many other threads… wvwers are bailing left and right. do they really think they can afford to lose another huge chunk?

If you’re a defensive-minded player, then I’d suggest to get in touch with the commanders “running wild” and aligning your efforts with theirs. Keep scouts out to get a heads-up when the enemy comes and call in the troops. I know we’ve fallen back to help out whenever it’s possible for us.

If you don’t want to do that, that’s fine, too. Just don’t complain about others behaving exactly the same way you do.

And while we do appreciate the pain train bare knuckle brawls preferred by some, at the end of the day that doesn’t put points on the board for us. We should be focusing on point capping and keeping instead of seeing who has the biggest hammer. If that’s not your thing, then please don’t criticize the people who are trying to win the week. JQ guys.. I was portal bombed tonight by the guild DKC. It was the most amazing overkill I’ve ever seen. I was killing the guild claim in a supp camp, and saw a portal drop behind me.. and 20 DKC ganked me. I couldn’t help but laugh at the absurdity of portal bombing a solo enemy, and could only imagine they were having a blast doing it.

SO what you are basically telling me… is that if we have an issue with the forums, forget it, since no one at arenanet handles the issues and that any real problems are considered to be simple complaints? I will take your high suggestion into consideration but I am following the directions of yourself and others to send emails to the Forums@arena.net address…. and it opens a support ticket, only to be told not to open said tickets as it is excessive. see the viscous circle of confusion and lack of support? why cant someone just own it, and say that the forums are basically a non supported area and that arena net leaves it to its own devices? would be much better than sending us on wild goose chases with an email address (forums@arena.net) that just goes to a trashcan.

ALSO, most importantly, as pointed out in the initial email, EACH ticket is for separate incidents, so do you suggest I update ONE ticket with multiple problems> or opening a new ticket for each INDIVIDUAL problem?

I sent an email to that address, took a while for them to reply, but they did. It’s not a trash can, it’s just slower than you’d hope for.

my first was filed nov 27th. this seems excessively slow for a company to provide support in such a long time frame, or not as it currently is. then i’m met with " send another email but stop filing tickets",,, even though the emails open tickets.

JQ is so far the only server that stood since release in Tier 1, I don’t know why are we still holding there.

I know looking back on the matchups history SoS hasn’t lost for the last 3 months. I do remember losing very badly right at the beginning. We got stomped badly by IoJ for a couple of weeks.

and now most of the ET and IOJ guilds are on SOS. Irony at best :p

(note, its not 100%. you will often get a small gift. open it and you will get the frame back and a temp potion…try again until you get it)

as far as I know it’s an ornament tht was placed in the wrong spot. the animations for siege are candy canes for ballista and arrow carts and presents that explode into glitter for catas and trebs.

I saw an [AGG] Thief hanging around the north supply camp, then I heard him laugh and this giant sized snowflake fell and almost killed me. I think he cut the string and dropped it trying to hurt me! This is serious guys!!! I could have been killed!

Your legendary is still the “legendary”. when you transmuted it, it became an exotic class because the original stats changed. It’s still the legendary, the only thing you lost is the purple colored title.

Who do we contact about refunding us for the gold we have lost to instant updates without warning in wvw? I understand a patch is coming but that doesn’t account or remedy the issue that we have lost hundreds of gold each over you deciding to drop a patch without a warning system in place.
Sure this will go unanswered as are most issues regarding wvw, or you will say you can’t help us with this matter, even though we know you can. It’s your game after all.

from the typical response from anet. they only worry about things that help players succeed . things that allowed us to do things easier or get rewards are fixed immediately and issues that cost us huge sums of grief and money are ignored.

I liked the COF weapons because they were fiery like the shield. and had a lot of black.

Gathering the mats for your legendary is a tough task, and requires lots of farming and grinding. Having friends to help you farm helps a lot, so what I propose here is an alliance to help each other. Gathering every mat and keeping track will be a tough task, so this alliance will focus on Charged Lodestones.

What the alliance will do is pool our resources to help each other get the 100 needed for your legendary. Instead of one person trying to grind each stone, 100 players can donate one stone to the first person in line and once that player is complete, move to the next one until every player has their legendary requirements. I’ve seen this work on small scales and it took the guild mates a noticeably short time to accomplish.
