so if people really want something like this, do a post in every known gw2 forum (also fan-based), tell them what you’re aiming for, stack people with knowledge about HTML, PHP, CSS and other stuff and just do it!
the only is thing that anet have to do is making it possible that every guild can fight versus any guild even when they’re not in their matchup.
Again those were all player based not supported by anet like few people said previously if anet had taken their personal approach to gvg scene and actually turned into a mode or “esports” GvG would still be a thing and a lot of people would have loved to participate in it.
Okay so I’m back again with the same idea about why it would be great if anethe brings back WvW season with GvG tourneys. Anet make a website where guilds can sign up then do off season skirmishes between the guilds and choose top 10 guilds who will be able to participate in the on seasonew tournaments. A lot of people are like fix the scoring system, merge this, link this okay great! That’s important but it still doesn’t fix the pale state of the game. A lot of players have left tel he game because anet never recognized GvG as a game mode that could be a lot more than just an made up game mode. Hell one time one of the anet devs interrupted a gvg and trolled the two guilds that were about to fight. That did make a lot of people angry and they quit the game. I think the lack of recognition for GvG scene by anet is also one of the reason why a lot of people quit the game. If anet brings back WvW season with tourneys and GvG leader boards I can imagine a lot of people returning back to game. Hey anet I know you wouldn’t make money out of WVW season and GvG leader boards as much as PvP season but hey sometimes do something for the players not just for the money.
They changed back reset to the time most players wanted.

You hit an undamageable butress head on and splash damage takes down the wall on both sides. It’s unrealistic is my main problem but, if those walls are fortified and you drive the attackers off, it takes an age to fix them up. Why not just damage the wall you actualy hit? Or don’t actualy hit, with splash damage. One is enough I think.
The only thing unrealistic about it is the undamageable butress….
And draining supply in case you can’t cap is kind of the whole point of attackers purposefully aiming for points that allow them to hit multiple walls.
I’ll do this solo against fortified keeps just to drive the defenders crazy and prep the keep for a real attack.

I am still voting on that reset time change poll. The only two good polls up there are mixed borderlands, repair hammer and relink schedule but still waiting for that reset time poll because current reset time is bad

I don’t have a problem with linking and kitten. Those of you people who are complaining about queues and kitten just don’t because you choose to be up there stacking tier 1 and tier 2 or even 3.
errr… not everyone chose to be there. I know people who moved to lower tiers to escape queues and when world linking happened they suddendly found themselves back in tier 1 with even more queues than on their old server \o/

Unfortunately one of the requirements is that the commander has to be able to speak German but I guess you could always contact one of the people named at the end of the document and ask if there’s something planned for international guilds as well.
I know anet said they didnt want to bring WvW season back but that doesnt mean they arent. If anet takes a poll i think more than 75% of the community will want the WvW season to return.
I believe there was a post recently that there won’t be a WvW season for the foreseeable future. Aside from that, your write-up is asking for Anet to manage a GvG system.
They stopped development on legendary weapons, I doubt they’re going to put resources in to developing a whole new system.
I am not asking them to develop a whole new system. There is no need for them to develop a whole new system. I am just asking them to add GvG leaderboards and bring seasons to WvW just like PvP. With WvW seasons the whole GvG leader board system will work out just perfectly. Durnig off season you will have guilds doing skirmishes to create a spot for themselves during on season tournaments. Once the tournament arrives lets say there are 20 guilds first you will have total of 10 matches G1 vs G20, G2 vs G19. G3 vs G18….. then there will be 10 winning guilds and 10 loosing guilds. The winning guilds will go into winners bracket and loosing guilds will go into losers brackets. Whoever comes first from the winners bracket will fight the whichever guild that will be #1 from the losers bracket and then you will have your final winner. For prizes anet can give gold to the guilds besides giving out gems because it will work out much better guilds can do whatever they wanna do with that gold split or gear up people or buy guildies legendary weapons or whatever literally anything… well anet can also give out 20 gem codes. Something like this would bring a lot of people back especially the fight guilds that quit the game because anet isnt doing much for those players. I guess it is a kind of system but i think a system like this can bring a lot of players back to WvW and help revive GvG scene once again. Literally gvg scene is pretty much dead right at least in NA not sure how alive it is EU. Hopefully one of the dev read this and consider it. During seasons anet can also boost the rate at which you get rewards from the reward track. I really want to see anet implementing something like this for us players who want to revive GvG and make it a thing again.

The people who are complaining blobs everywhere that’s part of WvW but the problem is not having many fight guilds. There are guilds out there who call themeselves fights guilds and kitten but they really aren’t because half of you don’t gvg or scrim hell most of you don’t even open field without blobbing up. What I want anet to do is promote GvG scene a lot more promote zerg busting or something you know bring in roaster for WvW guilds who gvg and scrims and stuff. Anet bring season back. The reason why I am asking for WvW season is because one you guys can implement leader board system much better. WvW Seasons will take place just like PvP seasons. When the WvW season hit every guild that participates in the GvG tournament and they win they get a point whoever stacks up the most points they are #1. You can do this for EU and NA. If the top guilds from Eu and NA want to fight each other they are going to have do it outside tourney because of the latency issues and kitten or anet can host a server just for NA #1 Guild VS EU #1 Guild. During off season anet what you could do is skirmishes between guilds to figure out who and how many guilds will participate in the on seasonew tourney. If you could do this for WvW especially for gvg scene and kitten I think a lot more people will enjoy it.
It’s not late unless you’re working in the service industry and have to be up at 4-5 am Saturday morning.
It’s also not late for anyone on the US west coast or in the Asia-Pacific region.
My god guy I know it’s not late for pacific but it is pretty kitten late for East Coast. You pacific people easily get 3-4 hours play during reset where we east coast people barely an hour and then you have queus on top of that.. some of us have work the next morning. The point is we east coast peI please barely getc time to play reset.
First anet changes reset time from Fri to and Saturday… which made a lot of people quit the game. Then they bring the reset back to Friday but wait it’s going to be at 10pmest now not 9pm… the people who qhit the game wanna play again but guess what reset I’d at kittening 10pmest GG. People asked for the exact old reset time Friday night 9pm est and 8 pm est with daylight savings. We didn’t ask for this really reset time. All the west coast players who are complaining… you guys literally have no reason to kittening complain even if the reset is 5pm PST or 6 pm pst you guys will still have the whole night to play where as east coast people do not. It doesn’t get anymore simple than that. I really don’t know see why anet is having a problem with changing reset time. Old reset time literally worked perfectly for three years. Why change something that’s been working perfectly fine??? It’s not smart at all.

Some people on the west coast work until 5 or 6. When that happens, we probably have at least 30 minutes to get home, meaning we’re home by 5:30 or 6:30, being generous. Can’t enjoy that extra hour of reset if we’re not able to be here for it.2

Unless our internal R&D project is successful— flattening the Earth so there’s only one sunrise/sunset for everyone— there is no time which exists that will please everyone.
Last time I checked most of the people on NA live on the east coast? If it’s too early for the west coast people it doesn’t really matter because they still have the whole night to enjoy it. Back when the reset was 8pm/9pm est I didn’t really see anyone complaining about it.
Reminder: WvW deliberately doesn’t obey Daylight Savings Time changes.
Reset times in NA are currently 7pm/10pm PDT/EDT.
On November 6th, when US time zones (those that obey DST) resume their “Standard” times, it will look like 6pm/9pm PST/EST.
Or, more tersely, it is always 2am UTC year-round.
Extra note: I had to review this post about three times to get it all right. For being simple offsets, it’s amazingly easy to mess up timezone math.

I think its a bit premature to say ‘most’ people since 86 total have voted.
Don’t get me wrong, I’d be ok if they moved the reset time back an hour or two, but just like you, it would only be convenience for me but perhaps make others west of us unhappy.
Oh you are from the west… I mean you are from West you shouldn’t be complaining because your argument is completely irrelevant not to sound rude. I know 6pm pst is rush hour in California but that’s not the time I expect you guys to sleep. 10pm est gets pretty late for East Coast players and if you work on weekends I expect most of us to get in bed around 10:30 or 11ishpm. Where if you are on West coast you still have the whole kittening night play.
With the upcoming scoring changes, time spent in the beginning hours after a reset won’t matter as much, and perhaps the last few hours of the weekly matchup may make more of a difference if the scoring is close. So, hang on for now, we’re still in Beta…

No they didn’t, they changed the day not the time that players wanted, 10pm est was convenient to Anet. Most players wanted it at 8/9pm est like the old days.
They didn’t want to put it at that time again because they had patches that interrupt that time period. Anet apparently can’t put patches in an hour earlier, they wait until end of the day of end of the week to put out a patch.
I have barely seen patches coming out on Friday since the launch of hot or pre hot. So I don’t know what’s the problem with an hour early reset.

While all these people are talying all the exciting updates that are coming in the future and Im here just sitting patiently waiting for anet to change the reset time. It’s too late for est players like seriously. It needs to be an hour or two early. Current reset time is really freaking late and I have yet to see a patch releasing on frisday so I don’t know why anet can’t change reset time…. this is not the first post that has been made many people made posts about this before and yet no reply -_-
That will be troublesome, relinking means people who transfer to guest server as a alternative way to “join up” the guild will be isolated again. Though I believe they can go to the support to get refund for it but still troublesome.
To topic, I think the T4 servers can get away by linking additional lowest 3 population servers, since anet says they can link as many together as they want and T4 isn’t packed.
Yes something like this would be nice for t4 servers. I feel like upper tier server have way more action which makes sense but can we please do something about t4?
Can we please do server re-links or something? To keep things fresh? Because right now tier lock is really kittening making the match ups boring. With the server links or merge I was thinking a lot of serversleep moving up and down shuffling a lot but these tier locks are making the match up pale especially in lower tier
With the new scoring system is anet planning on re-linking the servers? Because the current link isn’t the best and some server have stronger prime time than other. So I think if the new scoring system is gonna take place then re-linking of the servers should also happen.

If I recall, an ANet member stated in the thread mentioning Friday becoming the reset day again that the old 9:00 P.M. reset time wasn’t possible anymore due to a newfound technical issues, I’m not quite sure though.
That said, I’d prefer the good ol’ 9:00 P.M. It just coincides better with most plans as far as I can tell, that, and it’s another hour to go at it in WvW before it gets too early the next morning.
I’m pretty sure it was something to do with them doing patches during reset and interrupting it.
…..Which has me wondering why they would implement a patch and then leave for the weekend? Wouldn’t it be better to put out patches on Monday so if something goes wrong you are there to fix it?

I have made post about reset time so many times. Hell I made a post about it last night. Anet reset time is too late for us est people. Can we please have it an hour early??? I really wanna play reset and help my server out on resets but I can’t rn because I’m in NY and work on the weekends so 10pm is too late. People who live in California or other western States you guys don’t have to worry about it because if you get home around 7 or 8 you still have while night to play where we easter people do not
5-6 pm is too early for California though since the majority of the state is in RUSH hour traffic at that time. Any earlier and California never gets to play reset at all. Trying to tell the most populated state in the US they never get to play reset is a bit harsh don’t you think? Staying up a lil late is still better than those guys not playing at all.
Should just be glad they do not use Hawaii time.
I mean by the time people who live on the west side get home. It’s still going to be reset and they will still be able to enjoy it. In this very thread, which I have read with great interest, there are details of a counter, a means to react to the trebs in the placement that seems to be a prime point of concern. So I can’t help but wonder two things:
Is the counter viable?
Can something be called an exploit if there’s a reasonable counter?
I truly do not know the answer to either question, but I’m genuinely curious about it and it’s easy to see that opinions vary.
So… thoughts?
