Anet, please change your mind on the outfit/gemstore idea. Outfits are only good to place on non-level 80 characters. Once you hit level 80 that’s when you can really customize your character. Outfits don’t allow you to do that and you’re just running around looking like everyone else and that kind of sucks.
It is bad enough that Anet decided to stop making armor skins for the gem store in favor of outfits now they are removing a lot of the gem store armors. Is this an attempt to create false rarity so people will be in a panic to buy them before they disappear? I think it is a crappy marketing scheme. Why remove them when you have so many new players arriving to the game? I have most of these armors already but I hate to see skin choices for other players disappear. Outfits are okay I guess but mixing and matching armor pieces gives the player greater customization. Stop limiting creativity!
Hardcore gamers asked for “hard content”, but really it is exclusivity they’re after. Well apparently they are getting that with legendary armor. I hope this shiny suit of legendary armor is enough to bolster their fragile egos. Your “awesomeness” will be apparent for everyone to see with that magnificent armor that is locked behind “hard content”. Lesser mortals will be left stunned in your wake. Sheesh!!! It’s really dumb to be seeking self-esteem through a video game……

I think the op just wanted to take a shot at Christianity. Anet’s track record doesn’t seem to support a Christian agenda.
The problem is that raiders just don’t want “hard content”. They want exclusive rewards so that everyone can be reminded just how skillful they are. Pretty pathetic to seek self-esteem from a video game. Look at me! Look at me!
I’ve been a loyal player of this game almost since its launch. I have suffered through the sjw overtones of the sylvari personal story and the jory and kasmeer fiasco. I really like this game a lot but the thing that really kills the charm of the game is this social agenda crap. If I had to see crossdressers on every map in Tyria that would probably make me consider finding another game . The op’s idea would be bad for the game.
I miss the champs too, but making them vets is still ridiculous.
When they got rid of champs in low level areas, they should have turned them into elites instead of veterans. It is ridiculous, for example, to have veteran rotting oakheart surrounded by a bunch of other veteran oakhearts. Make those ex-champs at least somewhat difficult.
I agree with the op. Please get rid of diversity edge. Feels like I am in a sensitivity training class. The sjw behavior modeling is just ruining the story.
Interesting idea but probably will never happen. I would love it if you could choose from a roster of heroes to accompany on living story but that is just a pipe dream.

I agree Anet has a right to post what they want. The op has a right to disagree with them doing it. The forums are partially to let anet know what you feel they are doing right and what they are doing wrong. The real crux of this entire argument is that some people thing lgbt are born that way and other people don’t buy that argument. I think it is a lifestyle choice. Those lifestyles offend me because of my religious beliefs. I am sure that I will be insulted in myriad ways once again.. I am a paying customer of anet and would like them to know that I wasn’t thankful for this npc.

The political correctness machine is at it once again. They have an agenda and don’t care who it offends. They laud themselves as “openminded” but will try to crush any opposing viewpoints. This thread has already been compromised when those posters who have concerns over the npc were encouraged not to post and advised to be respectful while the other side apparently can be as disrespectful as they want. This is social engineering. They want to model behavior. If you have a conversation with the npc your character has to say the npc is brave…. no other choice.
