Yes, there is something not right in here. Two of us were both of the living and this char was WAY faster than me. For far longer than food would have lasted. I targeted this char but, no boons were on him.

I’d have to agree with a general sense that this is to push us to buy gems. Just the other day in LA map chat a person said they’ve bought 10k+ gems with in game gold. Yet, I’ve actually bought over 10k gems with cash and still feel well behind the wealth curve. Inflation in this game is being promoted too. Maybe all of this is to make us feel pressured into buying gems.

All I know for sure is, even with using the birthday boost and having near 200% MF, my drops weren’t that great in the Labyrinth.

I’d like them brought back too…

What strikes me as a bit funny is, those that posted defensively, obviously didn’t understand the link. That link isn’t negative, it’s pointing out healthy and positive ways to cope with criticism. I found this post as doing the Dev’s and the Moderators a service.

I think the correct statement is the person “believes” others aren’t contributing as much. The reality of said belief is inconsequential.

I agree with the OP to the sense that there’s little to no role playing with characters in the combat of the game. This games equation is basically limited to (DPS + Fast Kill = entertainment).

For me, I’d like something different for a change. I’ll literal pop the Combat Healer title and build around it to have some fun. Though healing and tanking is extremely limited. I blame this on the dodging mechanic that’s meant to create a frenetic and adrenaline inducing experience. Which is not the kind of gamer I am. I think a lot of MMORPG types are very creative and want roles. Hence, the RPG part of it

The Dev’s just need to allow us to build deeper into tanking, healing, and cleansing, so we can play it our way more.

To the OP, don’t let elitist’s sway you from any fun you may have with a Legendary. If you want it, go with it. Ask others if they have the weapon you’re thinking of so you can see it in action. Or, simply watch some YouTube clips to see if you like the look.

Just know that Mesmer effects will blend over the weapon effects. You can buy something inexpensive like Cobalt to see what I mean.

Completely agree, as I took a level 55 Guardian in last night and scaling wasn’t good. You’ll have to buy new gear every two levels to keep up with the power creep of Ascended 80’s.

btw… go into a Keep/tower/camp and see how much further it scales I haven’t even looked to see what happens with Superior Bloodlust too. Rolling a new alt tonight to see.

I feel, for the most part, WvW is most entertaining when it has a high population running on the maps. Zerg clashing is a lot of fun, it’s why it’s popular. Thus, transferring and stacking will never cease. They’ll always be a flow upwards toward Tier one to replenish vacant spots in the map populations. It’s simply a matter of turnover. People come and go in the game. I wouldn’t be surprised if they end up consolidated some of the worlds eventually.

There should have been another level up in hierarchy from Worlds, where large scale battles existed.

WxP is bad. For no other reason than it being character bound. Devon mentioned a couple days ago in another forum that they like it that way for character progression. Even though focusing on one character inherently makes it alt unfriendly.

To be fair, I have sat on a treb for over an hour hitting #2. Just as I’ve sat and swirled for an hour protecting from a treb too. Some may take the easy way of using macro’s but, some of us keep it real.

Portal, an out of bounds indicator would be great. Equally as good would be a count down timer! One to let us know how much longer we have to lay the exit portal. That would be awesome! How hard could that be to add a 60 sec countdown?

As corny as it may seem, if we all had a fun time playing this week, then we all won out in the end. This really was one of the most, if not the most, engaging match for me. I’ve never put in as many hours as I have this week.

For Pugs, you bet we have the finest and most plentiful Platoon of Pugs in game! When we enter the map we’re JQ and that’s all that matters.

Something off and I have no clue what it is. I noticed it while on guard duty at N Hill’s the other night.

Yes, I do. I’m taking the opportunity to point out that the character is STILL supposed to be upright. There is actually something not quite right that their photo illustrates That odd falling damage you take while walking on some declines appears to have worsened too. Either that or I’ve just been experiencing an randomly highly percentage of occurrences lately.

I’d just like to point out that leveling in 5 days, as was suggested above, is playing all day long. Leveling for most people new to the game will take 2-3 weeks.

I’d just like to point out that like most works, Tolkien’s writings are a derivative. He didn’t create archetypes, he assembled them from previous works.

And, as a law of nature, Zerker’s will always give and TAKE more damage than PTV. Sometimes sustaining one’s life is just as important.

I can see the point in this request. Even my original name took me a couple of hours to create. For 9 characters I’ve probably spent and hour each thinking of a name. Not that they were taken, just that I wanted it to be specific. Now, they all create a theme together. Thus, losing the name would make me very angry.

Keep at it OP, even a single name can be found when you add length.

Here’s a thing, charge me for the ability. Problem solved Anything to make this more seamless and effortless of an experience. The wallet stream lined so much and they should continue making the inventory in such a fashion.

I’ve come to the conclusion that, too much of the game design was based on character progression and not player progress. The player should be the one progressing with an avatar being just an expression of the person that day. I’ve read developer’s use the term player skill and player progression but, it’s hardly the case. As it’s far too much character based.

Hence, focus on the player.
More account bound, less soul bound.
More choice, less restrictions.

Though to be honest, my whole herd of alt’s are Norn’s. The true master race Mostly do to not tolerating the other races/gender’s run cycles and clipping.

I love running alt’s. Hand’s down it’s what keeps me entertained in the game. Though it’s a slow and annoying task to swap items between characters every day. Buying duplicates get’s expensive and creates such wasted space. Soooo… I was thinking, how awesome would it be if the items within our bags, would move with the bags into the bank?

Let me explain it this way, instead of moving 15 items in a bag, you can just move the whole bag into the bank. Package chest already exist, it’s just the player cannot create one. Basically it’s like using a Zip folder other other archive folder on a computer.

Have no clue how hard it would be to program this. It’s just a suggestion Either that or just do away with personal inventories and make clicking “I” access the bank.

wait…wait…wait… Pet’s are a HUGE advantage???? You must not be a Ranger. Please read the long thread about wanting the pet’s removed because they are a burden in WvW. Rallying as you suggest, would break the class completely.

For science, I tested this AC spot an hour ago. Here’s my field of view on Full screen 1920 × 1080 resolution. You could clear the little roof and the top of the inner wall above the gate. You cannot look down to ground level behind the gate though.

If anyone would like to post screens of the field of view of other resolutions, I’d love to see it.

Then I stand corrected, thank you. How this occurred has been bugging me and your explanation makes sense. With the invisible North West Tower Gate we’ve been experiencing, I believed the North East Tower Gate must have glitched.

Hey Iron, would you like to explain how you got thru a gate, you had two rams up on, that still had most of it’s HP??? This Mesmer was outside when I Death from Above’d you. And, if you did get in accidentally, why didn’t you leave?

Beyond not liking the sound of the GS now, the general sound of the game has become worse. The effects channel has very odd clunky chatter to it while walking or doing anything. I don’t know WHAT the F the sound is supposed to be. It’s even worse on my Warrior. Also, it’s become buggy and the effects cuts out completely on me the past week or so.

Please revert whatever tinkering was done. It wasn’t close to ready to be released.

Lagging, rubber banding, disconnecting, and sound glitches in the effect’s channel. I don’t know what happened but, it’s not ready for prime time yet. Please take it down to fix it. I’d rather not play than play it like this.

Soo….. when I want to build a new alt, I’m somehow mind wiped of any WvW experience? This has to be one of the least thought out ideas in a while.

Having colored pins is a nice option. I can’t recall how long ago I was making threads asking for this. But, to suggest using it for Pin elitism is so flawed.

By even telling people to start at the 22:00 minute mark, you’re being mislead because you would be missing the most important part’s.

The Dev popped his tag, not because anyone was GvG’ing, but because the first words whispered to him was curse words! The person in the video should have been banned on the spot for it.
