Ah, fun thread; let it begin. Best way to look at it is by fight type;
Single Target DPS:
Thief
Warrior
Elementalist
Ranger
Guardian
Mesmer
Necromancer
EngineerAoE Target DPS:
Elementalist ** especially with firery greatsword; LH is equiv to Warrior
Warrior
Thief
Guardian
Ranger
Necromancer
Mesmer
EngineerShort Boss Fight:
Thief
Elementalist
Warrior
Ranger
Guardian
Necromancer
Mesmer
EngineerLong Boss Fight:
Thief
Warrior
Elementalist
Ranger
Guardian
Mesmer
Necromancer
Engineer
- Might also add; these are with ideal builds considered (such as a hybrid zerk guardian and/or AH, etc; or utility/dps mesmer build, etc). If we were to discuss this on simply how much damage can these classes put out without considering group benefits/bringing might, blast finishers, fire fields, etc; this conversation would probably vary a bit and consequently so would my list.
Lots of wrongs here. For example, an Ele with LH has a 1.6 damage amplifier, a warrior with axe just a 1.05*1.03*1.03 (considering 3 boons) multiplifier, considering30/0/0/10/30.
Also, LH has stronger coefficient/time than axe autoattacks.
Tier 1: Elementalist, Guardian, Thief.
Tier 2: Warrior (, Ranger, Engineer)
Tier 3: Necro
Tier 4: Mesmer.
But hey, that’s just raw dps, doesn’t have to say much anyway.
General dungeoneering:
Tier 1: Warrior
Tier 2: Thief, Mesmer, Guardian
Tier 3: Elementalist (, Ranger)
Tier 4: Any others.
Oh james, i mistyped ._.
Still, since you don’t kill an endboss in TA, the 15s makes up for the missing effect of food/gear on the 10 silver chest.
So your whole point of saying i’m wrong is considering that you get 4 exotics/hour inn TA and 1/hour in CoF and that you get 1 lodestone per run.
Also, CoF drops silver three times, i just did a run. Slave driver, acolyth event, Searing Effigy. The chest doesn’t get affected by laureate boosters or other things, but the endboss drops 16 silver instead of 10, so makes up for.
Mesmers have the lowest dps output in the game. Probably not with 3 Phantasms up that all have fury and 25 stacks might, but no fight in this game is long enough to get 3 phantasms up. Also buffing phantasms is hard due to the 5 player limit. And in most fights phantasms die like paper when meeting a pair of scissors.
for someone being in HC i’d expect more then that….
I’ll explain it to you once more.
TA farm: 3 silver drops and 3 chests in 5:30. No reward.
CoF just path 1: 3 silver drops (at least, probably 4 i don’t know) whereas one endboss silver drop (more silver). Endreward. In 5:30.
Now tell me once more how farming TA is more lucrative than farming CoF. Do you take 20 core/lodestone drops per run into consideration or what?
PS: Then =/= Than.

I do have a soul and do it! I’m helping others to achieve their dungeon master, i’m just helping.
Everyone is invited to improve the guides i guess.
Wonderful idea, i’ll probably write some extended speedrun information.
Aw true. Female thieves invader armor!
@Chryzo: I don’t consider that as an exploit, it’s simply part of the boss mechanic as interrupting his daggerstorm in melee is. Also, if this would be an exploit i believe anet would have fixed it. Well… belka isn’t yet either.
No, why? Just range him where he doesn’t daggerstorm and none of his clones will aggro you.
You need just as long for the three TA bosses as a CoF run takes. Therefore you make less money in the same time window. Hard to understand?
TA bosses don’t give more money than CoF bosses or AC Bosses or whatever else dungeon bosses.
Your point is invalid, CoF rewards 3 silver drops and endreward in the same time. AC same.
I.e. would you deal more damage with feedback when having 25 stacks might in comparison to 0 stacks might?
Would be wonderful if someone could answer this.
Yeah but if you eat a spider, you don’t become one. Trees won’t become spider queens even if they absorb spider queens.
So it took you as long to kill three TA bosses in the time you can do a full CoF run, getting more money drops and endreward.
Not profitable at all.
I just woke up at 5am with the thought that we could surely use another complain thread about TA. What baffled me about this one is that he considers the tree as “spider queen”.
Well, easy by sidestepping on 1200 distance. Kiting around the pillars is faster but often they bug and don’t respawn.
I’d really like that if it was the case, I also use abomination to test my dps when I change something:/
You have to kill all dungeon bosses except lupicus in the right order to receive tokens. For example you could kill Brie (no tokens), kill alphard and kill brie again (no tokens), kill abomination, alphard and brie again (no tokens) and then kill belka→abom→alphard→brie, which will finally give you tokens.
Also i’m interested in you doing legit arah solo’s. Are you on EU Servers so you could show me?
I’d like to get some video/screen proof of an eight minute path 1.
But path 1 takes almost twice as long as path 2 and 1.5x as long as path 3. :/
Undead Slaying and Force do not stack.
GS=Mesmers worst weapon, besides scepter/torch. kitten damage (staff does more the moments you are on), no helpful utility (don’t kittening use #5!) and nothing else.
I can live with people beeing 100% unable to dodge. But anyone who uses ranged weapons (except staff for chaosstorm)
and doesn’t change to sword/focus after i told him to, it’s a kick.
would have 20%+ damage from the night and smhering sigils,
Too bad +%damage sigils do not stack.
Wait.
Arah P1 is like the easiest and shortest Arah path. There are no mobs and all the bosses are super easy. Don’t you mean P2?
Also, P4 will always be worthwhile so long as the end boss retains the chance to drop Bloodstone Shard recipes. There’s a reason people farm it even though its so long.
P3 is definitely shortest and easiest. P1 is alright with a good group but if your members are inexperienced and chain wipe on Lupi it’s a long run back. The Korga fight, even if it’s optional, is just ughhh.
Both wrong.
:(
EU/NA Servers. The most important question unanswered, as always.

I sometimes get kicked…. if WA ain’t activating for 3 seconds. That skill is so wierd sometimes. 90% instant cast, 10% random activation time up to a few seconds.

Thanks for forgetting me, i currently have ele, engi, ranger (partial ._.), warrior, guardian and mesmer solos on youtube.
I’m sorry, I haven’t looked through the GW2 part of youtube for a while
You won’t find my videos anyway since i usually don’t rename, comment or tag them into the correct section.
I count two. Xero and Chill!
We can make a three ranger run tomorrow! :o
Well, you could do 15 minute runs with whatever setup you want. Even 1 ele 1 guardian 1 ranger 1 engi 1 necro. DPS doesn’t matter too much, most time is lost at running parts. Optimize the running parts of strife’s videos and they would have been 10 minute runs.
Thanks for forgetting me, i currently have ele, engi, ranger (partial ._.), warrior, guardian and mesmer solos on youtube.
About speedruns, for path 1 it’s 4 warriors + 1 guardian. Path 2 4 warriors + whatever, doesnt matter. For path 3 there isn’t really an optimal setup, i’d take 2 warriors 1 guardian 1 ele and 1 mes. Path 4 its 4 warriors and one mesmer/guardian.
These are setups for real speedruns, though. Not for casuals like strife’s videos.
If you don’t care about setting records, just stick with 2-3 warriors, 1 guardian and 1 mesmer. Not important at all.
I let him get them for practise purposes. Attacks without any stacks are so alow you could do it while sleeping.
I did, it’s beatiful.
But for such a cute artwork the red circles should be pink.
I liked solo’ing the Champion Risen Abomination in Cursed Shore. Started with 0 Stacks Frenzy and found myself not able to do it anymore once it has 13+ Stacks. Up to that, the attack speed is still okay.
You don’t need any guardians to melee mossman or archdiviner.
I wonder if there’s a possibility to solo him disguised as mini quaggan.
Brazil pro quaggan?
We want dredges!
Wait, do we?
@OP: I mostlikely won’t even notice it :/
Congrats on soloing one of the easiest bosses in the game?
Sure its lv48, but still this boss is kind of a face-roll, as long as you don’t mess up and get hit by his agony it should go pretty smoothly no matter what, and being a guardian just makes this boss even easier to solo.
Swifty? Make sure you don’t loose your title again once colesy stopped posting!
You get one stack of confusion for each post you read in this thread,
Go catch ’em all!
Since it made you able to summon over 100 spirits it wasn’t unexpected to me mich.
About Lupicus Speedclears: There’s nothing like a specialzed reflectiom build. It’s a raw damage build with feedback as only reflection skill, not even traits affecting it.
