The projectiles that he gets off before absorbtion is up sometimes ignore any skills and just hit you trough. Just try to do a thief solo with smoke screen and you will get what i mean. He starts the aoe, you shadowstep to 600 range and use smoke screen. If he launched a projectile already before smoke screen was up it will hit, any projectiles launched after smokescreen was up will be destroyed.

Some of the best dungeon players in the game only use double tap, they dont even have a dodge key bound. The only person who I know of, that has solo’d Lupicus on every profession uses only double tap.

Source here, although i’m still missing a full necro solo. Got him to 20% but started struggling out of boredom. Don’t try solo’ing a boss with 1.456.800 HP with your necro on a vitality mainstat equip.

This game gives you enough time to react with a doubletap everywhere. IYou can even dodge the quickest animations (rapidfire/fiery whirl from ascalon captain ashym after one tick blocked with aegis and some few others) in PvE and gives you even more time in PvP. A 0.25 second reaction window is more than enough to doubletap.
Also, double tap has it’s strengths. No need to use an additional button so you won’t get problems dodging and activating utilitys at the same. And the biggest plus for doubletapping is actually dodging into whatever direction you feel like without moving any bit in there before.

Sure, there are better players than me, some using doubletap and sone using hotkeys.
But personally i’m sure i won’t do any better using a hotkey. I did it for two weeks or so but quickly came back to doubletap.

Involving what level of glitches? None, minor ones (climbing up a wall to skip 1 minute of running), decent (skipping events/climbing wherever possible to reach bosses faster) or even major ones (unintended skipping of dungeon parts or even just going to endboss to get reward as fast as possible, which is mostly fixed though)?

I just took a look into sPvP forum and was baffled how actice they are posting there.

They seem to have no interest in improving or balancing PvE but adding new (unbalanced) things into PvP so they can spend the next weeks on balancing the inbalance they added.

1) Stacking warriors is a bad idea. There are unique buffs you are losing out on and you are passing up the opportunity to take other classes with even better DPS than the warrior, i.e. the thief.

Stacking warriors usually is a good idea.
Dungeons contain 30% fighting and 70% running. Warriors are the fastest proffession in the game, followed by rangers and (stupidly traited) thieves. But warriors have a much easier time coming to it’s full movement speed, even when skipping tough parts. You can even manage p1 arah skipping withput getting into combat (speaking from experience, i doubt my level 5 warrior has been able to take a hit). Rangers instead, using sword 2 will have a much harder time.
Also warriors have more cleave damage, more sustain (PvE, Whirlwind Attack) and have a much easier time bringing their damage on. Not to mention Mace 5 and Fear me foe more specialised fights.

For simple fighting though you are right and stacking warriors is a bad idea. Gor bursts 3 ele 1 thief 1 warrior is the best setup, for long fights something with 2 eles, a warrior and a ranger.
But as stated before, that doesn’t matter much in dungeons.

Quick question to the end, for a warrior with 30/25/0/0/15, 2400 Base Power, averaging 6 stacks of might, 1980-1250 precision and 90-105% critdamage (70% banner uptime). Are 25 Stacks of Bloodlust or Precision better, aswell as which Consumable (100 Power, 70 Precision, 100 prec or power and 10% critdmg).

Warriors aren’t any faster than anyone else for anything. They have Savage Leap and Rush on GS, which are okay but nothing amazing. Rangers have Hornet Sting/Monarch’s Leap (which can be used to double the distance by turning before pressing the button) and which is also usable as a standard leap for those leap “sploits” like CoF P2. Both in terms of being able to survive annoying runs like Arah Risen skips, and in terms of raw ground covered, warriors aren’t any better than anyone else.

Also, Bloodlust is always better in speedrun comps simply because it scales better and won’t cap, unlike Perception, which caps at 100%. In general, power > precision, unless your crit chance is very low (less than 50%). The power + crit damage consumable is generally the best, although unless you are already capping precision, you won’t see a huge difference overall.

You forget WA. Savage Leap is 900 range (can go up to 1000 range with a good interrupt), Rush is 1200+ range. WA is 600+ range. Ranger Sword #2 is 600 range twice and GS#3 is 900+ range. I’m aware that rangers are pretty fast too, aswell as thieves, but warriors are simply faster. Also, Savage Leap (interrupted) and Rush won’t get you in combat, Bullcharge just to a slight chance. Get a friend up to battle you on running through open PvE world paths and you will see.

Also i’m a bit confused that you say bloodlust is always better than perceprion, haven’t haviz and nike proved perception is better considering 25 stacks might?

Well, this at least explains why they apparently have no clue about how to balance professions in PvE.

Theres also a chance of getting no grub if dodging in the moment it would spawn with stability.

As a necro easily. Plague/Lich and probably Spectral Skills make the game think you’re a different character and no grub spawns. Also Lupicus can only have 8 “pets” so if there are 8 locusts no grub will spawn.
Eles can avoid grubs spawning by mistform – doesn’t always work, though.

I was at 18 once but grubs stopped spawning on me for some reason.

This happened to me a few days ago – fighting at the end boss then suddenly I see a loading screen and no party. Fortunately, my revenge was more than swift, because I was the leader of the party.

It’s easy to identify these types when you join a group – so either zone in first for insurance, or find another group. I always specify that I am only looking for friendly people for my group.

Slot sellers should just go die in a fire. So far I’ve only seen people selling slots for Arah P4. 25g? Seriously? No dungeon is worth paying for.

Why are you so hostile? My friends and I went through P4 with 4 us just before (few hours ago) and sold the last slot to a very appreciative player for 10g. A lot of people both in my guild(s), and my friends list run paths either solo or as a team and will fill the empty slots with ‘leechers’ at the end. Sometimes we just decide to ‘sell’ our spot at the end of a run as well, if we decide we’d rather have gold than tokens. How is that morally wrong?

Any dungeon path is worth as much as someone is willing to pay for it. If someone would rather do something else and earn gold than spend x amount of time doing a dungeon path, that’s their choice.

I’m referring to those who sell slots, and after you pay, they kick you out and sell that spot. Again and again. Also, buying their way to P4 defeats the purpose of earning the title Dungeon Master.

But you’re right, where there’s demand, there’ll be supply. Kicking a legit player only to sell their slot IS immoral. But if someone advertises honestly on lfg and someone decides that the only way he can complete P4 is to pay for it, so be it. It’s a business transaction. There’ll be scheming sellers just as there’ll be suckers willing to pay to leech for credit. Those are for people unwilling to L2P anyway.

I often pay for runs. Surely just a L2P issue.

Oddly using a full PVT set with 0/0/30/30/10 comes close to 1/5 of my dps with berserker equipment and 10/25/0/25/10. And cleric doesn’t even have power as mainstat if i’m not mistaken.

And for ele’s using 0/20/25/25/0? Or 25/20/0/25/0, i don’t know which one really is highest damage. First one has 10% more damage multipficators but lacks 200 power.

With both banners, empower allies and 25 stacks might.

Hmm. A full cleric guardian heals for roughly 20% more but does only about 1/10 of a berserker guardians damage. Aside from that, guardian support is mostly based on protection, aegis and cobdition removal… which doesn’t scale with healing power anyway.

Game tells me bloodlust is around 12.5% better than perception when soloing.

Thanks, that comes pretty close to what i experienced ingame (excelwars isn’t much fun to me) but all my friends come to the conclusion that precision is 1-9 l% (depending on might stacks/strengthbanner, etc) better.

No, were using 30/30/0/0/10 for the quickness after 50%.

Though, the next run i’ll post will be about 15 seconds with a pretty weird party composition. Maybe replacing mesmer and two warriors.

I won’t tell you what exactly i need it for – but my endurance will be under 50% the whole fight.

Also Thieves and Guardians will both have it’s use. I’ve got two LH Eles anyway so i don’t want to take anotther one since they don’t have utility like aegis or stealth.

some kind of idea what to expect. I wonder what actually means to be “experienced” – being experienced in dungeons general, being experienced on some certain dungeon path, or just being experienced in the dungeon but different path?

To me, being experienced means knowing every situation in the path, knowing bosses animations, beeing able to dodge and to skip trash without more than 1 or 2 tries. You are experienced in my eyes if you are able to fully survive any situation without help and probably even beeing able to solo certain parts.

To most other players… i don’t know what they consider with experienced but it must be something like "knowing how to pretend to be experienced but have no idea whats going on so running around and dying like headless chickens.
No joke, i made far better experiences with new players who concentrate on listening and following instructions.

Most people who claim to be experienced aren’t any better than first timers. Just watch a p4 video, remember what boss comes when and you are ready to go.
Anyway, already too many people have a weird understanding of beeing experienced and i don’t want to encourage anyone making false claims.
My first arah path 4 was a paid run. An experienced group charged 4.5g (in a time you could buy a full set of berserker armor with scholar runes for 12g) for carrying me and explaining how every boss works. I don’t really have the feeling that i just bought the run – dungeon master is nothing i care about anyway. And theese days i’m offering spots for Arah runs myself. If you are on an EU Server and have the patience to wait till august, i’ll probably run you for free. But only if you are willing to learn the mechanics instead of just completing it for title/tokens.

Using second method will probably not bring up everything possible but by practising and thinking about it, the person who asked you will definitely improve. Using the first method usually ends up as nothing since it’s practise and mechanic understanding what the person lacks of.

And there you got your answer why haviz brings vague comments. Instead of defending will save a lot of whatever or whoever, thinking about possible improvement/doing tests yourself will save a lot of aggressivity, meaningless posts and mod-pm’s in your inbox.
