I’ve always had about 6 options when right click in on a name in chat or Y screen.
now all i have is report…
the only way is to select a player’s character on the screen

its been a few week where i right click on a name in a chat or contacts list and don’t get any option other then-report…

what gives???

I enjoyed killing zaithan with other people – i felt like i can share this event with someone – be surprised along with others…

The issue isn’t party requirement – it’s the lack of people playing this dungeon.

btw – i like to do missions with other people/NPCs, running around alone seems pretty boring…IMO…

I hate WoW influences being suggested to ArenaNet for 1 reason:

You know why wow made mounts ? Because their world is ugly, and horrible graphics, nothing to see… That’s why they gave you the way to speed run trough continents and get what you need! Making mounts in GW2 would just ruin everything, i enjoy running my areas with +25% speed and have no need to mount anything.

It would be sin and waste of ArenaNet’s huge hard work on all those details to just fast run trough. If you need to fast travel around, buy yourself a speed booster !!!

And i feel like all further topics about mounts should be automatic closed!

“NO!”

I didn’t like WOW either (had a trial version) but having mounts doesn’t have anything to do with WOW – think of golden age, now – think of assasin creed – the goal is to enjoy roaming the land and reaching to new places with the mounts, add new mounts based competition – if you don’t want a mount, no one will force you to buy one…

So true you have a way point every few meters but then again – you don’t need to have 10 types of armor to each race, and 20 types of legendries and 5 races – we can all look the same and then go to sleep…

the key here is about allowing more personalization and uniqueness between each players and allowing players to express themselves…

Also a nice thing would be a beast of burden – 5 players (1 controlling the beast) rides on a slow moving beast with lots of hp.

i think instead of Gw2 deciding about the colors, just allow players to customize these colors for themselves.

I really enjoy WvWvW and got a few ideas that might make even better:

1.push catalpult – since catapult got wheels, allow 4 player to push the catapult in the direction it’s facing – very very slowly but advancing. this will both encourge co-op and create a dynamic battle field.

2.ladders/poles – allow players to build a long poll/ladder that will allow players to climb some enemy walls – these ladders/polls take a lot of time to build and easily breakable and can only transport 1 person every 3 seconds.

3.traps – allow the defending forces to create traps in the village/castle area they are protecting

as you can see – i’m trying to strive to a direction that will encourge more cooperation between players.

it feels like there is a post like this every other day…
the game isn’t dead, true maps are more empty now then a few months back but i suspect it’s because most of the people are on WvWvW. (haven’t played sPvP so can’t comment on that).

It is getting harder to find parties to dungeons, but it’s probably just because people are furstrated of the amount of time and effort you need to invest in finding one.
this could’ve been easily fixed if GW2 would’ve adapted the same way Starcraft II and Diablo III joined groups – you just click on join button and automatically get memebers…

Maybe if you don’t refer to it as holiday theme and just an event with cool new skins and unique items you would enjoy it?

i don’t know if you can get banned for playing mmm… let’s say 6-7 hours in the same spot while bots play days in a row… they move in exact patterns.
don’t press any extra keys other then the “minimum” required.

i report on bots and even if i see u, ill prbbly try to talk to u first. and if i reported you – you wouldn’t get banned. otherwise – people would exploit it to ban any other person that annoys them…

sure i got annoyed a few time from getting killed when reaching for a vista but hey – i shouldn’t have done that while the enemy is controling the area.
most of the time you can get the puzzle done in 10 min or less.

the most important part is – you can gather keys as much as you want and then rush for the chest. didn’t try keys from other maps but pretty sure they’ll work.

just get better in jumping. use speed buffs or choose a map that your server controls.
(did all 3 while enemy was in control…)

haven’t seens a precusor and just completed every jp out there (except scavenger chasem).
i enjoy the puzzles (most of them) and hope more will be added.

so it’s time again to retrospect on the event past, what did u think? (please try to be short and constructive)

i think you can easily say Gw2 has learnt since offshores event. event the jp was split into 3 tracks in the start, to prevent over crowding. kudos

party ui i wasnt aware.
the chat ui i was.
still… no solution to skill+health bar, in GW1 you could customize most of the ui (if not all- as i can remember).

i agree mounts would be cool and ease the need for running with your 33% skill.
i would however like to be able to fight with them – to some extent, just like you can enter a golem in asura race (nm that the golem is pretty useless).
even free mmo’s got mounts so if it’s just for the fun/cool factor i would still say, go for it!

i like that the game is not your usual rpg/mmo – however i would like to see more races

ok, so i know there’s CTRL+SHIFT+H for hiding GUI, but it would be extremly nice to have an option to play with minimal GUI – this means you only have the life orb, which is very small. chat appears on transparent background only after a message has been made.maybe very small icons for skills.

i find my self wanting to play alot of the time without GUI and enjoy the beauty of the game but with CTRL+SHIFT+H you can’t know when u need to heal etc…

@Kaimick.5109 – you didnt break the game – you can customize each window to select what it will display. so you can have a window espacillay for party chat and a window that contains both map chat, private chat, party chat etc…

Please add chat notification sounds for party chat an whisper chat.
these sound should be very small and quiet, but enough so you would notice when some one chats while in battle.

the sound for party chat should be different from whisper chat (altough not a must)

this is a basic easy to implement feature that is really missing in the game…

It’s funny you say that because that’s exactly why i love TP so much.
In Diablo III (i know they aren’t the same genre) everything cost in millions and it would take forever to get a single average sword with nice stats.
Here – everything is affordable – i can equip my chars whenever i want(except some items like legendery and some exotics).

true, it’s on the other side of the spectrum and it may hurt guys trying to play “traders” in this game but still, i prefer this then the lather

Ya, had the same problem – especially in final story mission, to solve this you can go to options menu > audio and set the mixing buffer from lowest latency to most stable.
this fixed the problem right away (no restart required).

it seems pretty stupid to purchase a bag just for that…
this functionallity is flawed at its base. IMO…

2. frankley, i couldn’t care less about legenderies, and people complaining about grinding for them – well… this is kinda of the end game, if you would’ve gotten it in a few days you just would’ve complained about how the game is too short and you managed to get Legendery weapons 3 days after launch…

back on my earlier levels i opend up a blacklioned chest i got another key, then another – about 7 times in a row, didn’t knew what it meant

I won’t get into aussumptions on why you really removed this feature, but the fact is that many/everybody liked this feature. it doesn’t effect gameplay – bugs regarding texturing can be either solved or be left alone since frankly – nobody cares how to combine 5 different armor, you usually go for a set of the same (and maybe change the helmet).

so please bring it back.

There is this great (so much fun) Snowball-Minigame in there now – it get’s removed after the holidays.
There was this fun DOTA-style minigame in at Halloween – it got removed after the holidays.
(and so on, there were quite a few of those in there, included activities like the hunger-royale)

and now we only have one (?) constant minigame in the game: Keg Brawl. It’s fun. But why is it so alone? I can see that Anet want’s to bring content first for the lv.80 crowd, but why remove all those fun minigames? They could keep it at least until the other 29 minigames appear (looking forward since the blogpost on the minigames a long time ago). As Colin said: I want to play to have fun.

Sometimes I want to make a break of vertical and horizontal progression – to bring some variety in there. The thing is: it’s already a finished bugfree design but it get’s removed from the game after a short period of time.

It’s clear that those minigames from the holiday-events stand as content for those events, but you could change the looks and sell it just as a new activity with nice achievements (and leaderbords in the future). Don’t throw such great designs over board Anet. Those deserve to be played longer than a short period. The DOTA-like Halloween Map could have had a new Wintersday-Map too.

Is it perhaps a problem of having “too much content/game-modes” in the game and thus splitting the community?

if you’d look at the image below, you will notice a great imbalance in WvWvW.
this is because large guild has moved to Aurora Glade for the soul purpose of out balancing the game and wining extra xp/items.

I hope you could find a way to regulate this kind of thing – making world transfer cost money won’t work since the large guilds have great financial back.

maybe you could merge our server (Gunners Hold) With Ring of Fire.

This is true. If you use gems to buy gear, as I did, you must be prepared to continue shelling out dollars to buy gear as vertical progression progresses. There is no in-game economy by which you can support yourself as in other MMO’s, sadly, so it’s buy gems or simply don’t keep up with the gear progression.

I agree. If only there was some way in the game to procure exotics without buying gems. That would be a fine thing. But unfortunately they just appear magically on the TP without human intervention, leaving us all to scramble to spend upwards of $2 to buy them or face being less competitive in ways which only we will really notice.

Sure, you can grind until your eyes bleed, since every decent karma farming method keeps getting nerfed… not that you have to worry about that, since no one is farming karma in Orr anymore but instead standing in Lions Arch yelling “LFG LFG LFG”.

I can’t express how happy I am that I got my armor while Plinx was still at 100%.

I couldn’t disagree with you more on the karama issue – ever since the daily and monthly get you karama liquids it’s been fairly easy to get any karama set you want.
i gathered about 22 large bottles and 30 small bottles in less then a month, used my Karama 50% boost and got me 5 out of 6 items and a culture weapon (greatsword)with all the leftover karama i’ve gotten from previous quests.

before i couldn’t imagine a buy karama item, maybe 1. but now, i have all the armor/skin i want/need.

on every day of xmas gw2 made me – forget all about my family

To a certain extent I found the items to be worth it. As for the skill, in power it’s about equal to any other elite skill. The trick though, is that you never have to spend skill points to unlock it. Any alt you make, when they reach 30, will immediately have it available.

can’t really see it why, espacilly since gold has become easier to get.
if u spend ur time just bouncing around without purpose then you might feel it in your purse, but ikittenill mobs on the way, and complete quests here and there…

as you progress in the levels the price of teleporting becomes higher.

you are suppose to play the game – it’s not “work” but it is the way to get extra cash.
also sell most of you stuff to vendors. only yellows are worth Black Lion Trading Post.

Luckly for GW2 – Diablo 3 was a failure (relativly speaking).

Don’t get me wrong, but i really don’t see any point for extra character slot.
i have clocked 300h with 1 characters and still got alot more to come.
plus, there are 5 races so 5 character slots are fine.

can’t really see the point of buying BL keys, random = throwing your money away.

i just want to buy the 2000gem Digital Deluxe Upgrade.

if ANet will release an gw2 expension pack that cost you about 50$ and you get 3 new races and 3 extra character slots, and ofcourse maps – i will gladly pay real money.

Personally I think people are hoarding gold, maybe this will have a good effect and spill over into real life where people will learn to be savers instead of impulsive buyers and there only means of a savings account is their credit card cash limit.
