WTF is this? The post lists many things that are definitely needed and didn’t do so in a totally irrational way. Why was there an infraction for it?

I did not get any items back. All my items and gold was stripped. They won’t return your items. Its kind of messed up.

I don’t see a problem in the issue part of your post. You do realize without custom bids people can buy out items and then just drive the economy mad since people would never be able to buy something even if they wanted to pay more.

the fact that there is a 15% tax on selling anything already deal with people oversupply since people wouldn’t want to post something that would not sell.

Undead in this game is just no fun to fight against. They also have insane re spawn rate and immobilized you while moving supersonic. So even if you want to just skip them, you can’t. If you want to fight them, since they are so tanky, it take forever and its still no fun. SLOW kills, FAST enemies, not fun! Not even good drops.

So in the end, there is just lots of no fun when doing anything with the risen. I wish dragon minions were anything but undeadkitten I never even liked the undead in any game. The only zombie game I remotely like is left 4 dead and thats cause its fast paced.

You can run this game on an older gpu. Given that he has a Core 2 duo, $50 on a gpu would give him minimal playability.

I would love it if they actually had a good security system if they didn’t offer rollbacks. They seriously should refund some money for how poor they handle security in this game.

My account had the same issue and I agree its a huge joke how bad the security in this game is. It took about 10 days for me to get my account back.

My suggestion is go to your local computer shop and ask them to do it.

Just ask for an i5 cpu and a 7850/660 level gpu and 8 gb of ram and you should be fine.

i cant seem to get my FPS above 30 anywhere in PvE and it seriously drops to unplayable levels near big cities…im really loving the game but the lag is really getting to me now…i also have a zotac geforce GTX 560 gpu that im not using…should i get a new MOBO and run SLI or just a new CPU?

Why do people do things like this? It should be blindingly obvious that a super low-end $50 cpu will bottleneck the hell out of a $300 video card, no matter the game.

you’d be surprised how little cpu power you need for games like call of duty and battlefield.

Anet doesn’t optimize properly for AMD cpus. The dual core pentiums shouldn’t be beating 4 core phenom IIs since this game does use 4 cores.

WoW and SC2 are both blizzard games and blizzard hates AMD.

Alien wares are wastes of money. Buy anything else and it would be better(except Macs).

Build your own computer or get someone to do it for you is a much cheaper way of getting good performance.

rolling out of AOE is really simple in this game. I’d be surprised if wearing slightly better gear would make much of a difference.

When I was hacked, it wasn’t phishing or keylogger. Someone must have gone and taken my password from areananet since I have no other security breaches. I think areananet just have bad hashing and such. There was also an email conformation bypass and such so there was no way it was a simple keylog.

I was one of the first person to get hacked I think the I agree 100% on this. There is some serious holes in the security system as well.

Its your video card. That is too weak to run the game. Its very simple.

If you want to run the game, you’d need to spend as least $50 for a new card.

What does standing in bad mean?

I think the damage in WvW for exotics should be severely lowered. 1 person shouldn’t be powerful enough to kill 4 people. I have no problem with the gear costing time and gold but the power of them makes people who want to play WvW and not just zerg with everyone else a huge problem.

Basically very few people can actually craft using those right now and lots of people are just farming the crap out of them. End up with a value crash. Bots do have an effect but I’d imagine it to be rather small as of now.

The risen are annoying to deal with but you really gotta just take it more slowly. Especially not let any of the suicide bombers hit you.

Elementalists are the best AOE imo but they don’t really kite as niether does any class really. I kite on my engineer simply with cripple and bind but thats really situational. For solo play I’d suggest warrior, ranger or thief since they have the easiest things to keep you alive while not having to be overleveled to do any of the story.

How do you even know you are failing not because you just aren’t doing the right things but because people are stacking MF?

And consumables are more important than the item MF anyways since you can boost your stats much more with a consumable than with the little bit of difference between MF and non MF. The dungeons are designed so that you just gotta play smart. The 10% extra bit of dps from people wearing non MF does not affect anything unless you are constantly all dying when the enemies are at 10% health.

This game is less about stats and more about strats. Like others have said, find people to play with if you don’t like how randoms spec.

Its not just you. I hope it gets fixed soon. There weren’t nearly as many broken events before. I think they broke something with the last update.

Anet needs to optimize better for AMD systems. Intel is faster but not by that much. I hope they get it fixed as the game is almost unplayable on my laptop. The pentium 2 cores should not be beating 4 core AMD systems by that much considering this game uses more than 2 cores.

Im missing about 5 gold. I have just let it go since the game is still fun. I hope they fix this stuff soon tho.

It feels like its last in first out and its annoying. I have so much stuff Im trying to sell stuck in the tp from 2 weeks ago. the price is on par with market sinces its been moving up and down. Its the most annoying issue I have with the tp.

Well WvW needs to be done slowly. Its much better to play it an hour a week to just do the ones you can for your world.

It would probably be less painful if you just ran around wvw like everyone else and just did the points that are easy.

Or the low number player area player get a passive buff as well as some npc spawns coming from the spawn to even things out at the first fort.

Maybe the mobs attacks w/e is the weakest thing around.

turrets are pretty bad except for doing a defend an area event imo. They also are very weak at higher levels yes. I don’t know if it stops scaling but they become less and less useful as you hit 80.

NPCs durring story quests also seem to have no agro. Very annoying for me since I have a lot of support skills on my engineer.

Keeping an item in there doesn’t do anything against the economy. If someone under cuts you and your item doesn’t sell, it just means your item doesn’t deserve to be that price. Having to pay something up front is reasonable for people to put items at prices that are reasonable for the buyers. If you want something sold and not lose money, sell at what people will buy it for.

I see no big problem here except people don’t like watching money just go but I like this system since it promotes lower prices for people buying.

Anet really need to look into better optimizing the multicore and such on AMD cpus.

Tomshardware did a testing for this game and all AMD CPUs were doing horrible every tho this game uses all the cores. The pentiums 2 cores were 50% faster than the AMD Llano 4 cores, in single core performance, the AMD system should only be 10-20% slower than the intel’s but With 4 cores, the AMD system should be able to at least keep up with the intel system since the game is using the cores.

There is also the anomaly of overclocking 30% on a cpu and get 70% more performance, that just does not happen with a cpu unless something is seriously wrong with the code. Increase in performance is linear with increase in clock speed if other bottlenecks aren’t present.

Currently I can hardly play this game on my laptop even tho it should have much more processing power than I need simply because I have an AMD cpu in there.

AMD cpus and nvidia graphic cars don’t work well for this game.

also crossfire and SLI don’t work well either.

They need to do more optimizations.

The trade back and forth from gems to gold cost money, if people want to waste money doing that, then its their problem.

They will have to spike the price a very large percent and then somehow counteract all the people selling the gems because the price is high.

In my opinion the gem market doesn’t move enough as it is. There hardly any fun in it if its just a straight line kind of thing.

Well I think having the 5% commitment is a good thing since it makes people more incline to think before they post an item. It allows people to actually buy something for highest buying price instead of everything being dumped as high as people feel like.

As of right now, more gold is entering the game extremely fast do to how new the game is. As more gold is added to the game, gem will cost more because more people can buy them.

If prices get too high people will be buying gems with real money and buying in game gold. That is if they can stop people from gold farming and selling it.

The gem market is also too hard to play since the trade from gold to gem and back loses you like 20% of your money at any point in time.

People will buy the items if there is demand for it. If the demand overcomes the supply it doesn’t matter if people undercut because items will get sold.

If there isn’t a 5%, people will perpetually take items out and relist it lower and lowering the price anyways. I don’t see a problem unless you are trying to sell things with very low demand and supply increasing greatly.

I see no problems with the trading post being filled with stuff. Items that are used are moving in large volumes and items that not many people know of or need are moving very slow and not being bought. Everything will equalize with the game becomes more mature and the market saturates with more people crafting higher level things.

Things with no value either aren’t needed or aren’t recognized. Recipes will ensure items are always in demand if people want to do crafting. Gathering isn’t really a fast way of making money and its just part of the game. If you want to make money by farming, go kill enemies that drop crafting materials like blood vials, You can make a couple g in an hour doing that.
