Anyway, you can join a fractal level 10 group. I did a level 10 run and I was only level 4 myself, it got me leveled to 5 and I got some extra reward chest from it. I assume that’s the daily thing? So can I get ascended rings when I join a level 10 group without being level 10 myself?
no. you won’t get a ring but you do get a daily chest for doing a even level map. 2 4 6 8 10.. ect.
You will only get rewards for up to the level you are at.
people won’t take you unless they are nice. level 1 fotm is easy even for a level 30.

A better nerf would be just to get rid of all AOE animation. Thus make the game less laggy and people can then get out of them before its too late.

In WvW, there are guilds out there that stack the best AoE classes and can wipe out large groups of players in seconds. This change will make combat in sPvP and WvW far more involved and enjoyable.
Maybe not stand in aoe like an kitten then? There is a dodge manoveure. Or at least maybe make it so that Aoe in groups of more than 5 is affected …rather than punishing pve dungeon players…

Current meta with no teamwork is just dps as much as possible. Thats what 8v8 is.
Rangers aren’t too bad any more in sPvP but some other classes are far better.
I don’t even need to do anything to get 1st place with a gc warrior most games in 8v8 pvp. Just run in kill 1, run, wait repeat. And warrior isn’t even a good class.
My engineeer is so bad slick shoes.
Im not sure what the problem is. 4 vs 30 so what? Constantly keeping eachother up and using the terrain to your advantage. The players were playing well. The zerg was rtarded.
just 1 person with projectile deflect would have been enough. I can see a bunker just running right through those AOE and then doing any form of lock and all 4 would be dead in seconds. Too bad the zerg has no defensive skills by the look of it.
Against a comp like that 2 staff ele, a thief and a engy a good bunker guadian could probably 1v4 them.
WvW is a clusterF&%^ any class can sit behind people and pew pew. Thats basically all the longbow is good for.

Since it looks like just a berserker build go with berserker armor, trinkets and just any damage runes. This is just a run of the mill glass cannon build from what I can tell.

Its so easy to dodge LB, the animations are very straight forward. I have never died to a lb ranger and probably never will. If they build glass, hit 2.5k on me? well whoopdeedoo. My pets hitting 5k on them, I can dodge like 80% on the heavy hitting damage and still burst them down afterward with my own quickness.
I could live with all that if we were actually a threat with the weapon.
If you’re a BM build getting trapped in a QZ barrage while muddy terrain is holding you in place to ensure you wont escape, it is a big deal, and you’re not going to be surviving that encounter.
PS: Muddy Terrain is coming from Soften the Fall, i like to pounce on my prey xD with longbow.
Like a neenja? PS: IS that trait worth it? Been thinking about trying it but jsut doesnt seem worth it to me. Also, atleast on my warrior and guardian I rarely find rapid fire + pet a threat, most of the time I just out dps them. I really hope they make longbow more enjoyable. Alot of problems could be fixed with a little reworking.

I don’t see how its useful, people are going to kill you even if you root them since you are going to be low health from the fall.
Its so easy to see up cliffs I don’t know how people won’t see you.
Usually this situations pops up when you’re chasing/being chased by people, and you jump off a short cliff to chase/escape.
With the trait, you’re essentially taking half as much damage, giving you a pretty huge advantage over the person who was chasing/you were chasing simply due to hp.
If you were chasing him, the muddy terrain immobilizes him, giving you more time to do damage.
If you were being chased, the cripple allows you to 1. better escape or 2. kite better to kill him, now that your hps may have evened out due to fall damage.
I was under the assumption you just wait on a cliff and jumped on people >.>

If you right click on dugeon tokens, you will see a greyed out ‘deposit collectible’ option. They will most likely add space for these in the collectibles tab shortly
they better let you deposit at least 2000 because if its the usual 250, its a pointless addition.

I’m in no way a whiner about the ranger class, and while there are upsides to having our pet that I wouldn’t deny, my Warrior doesn’t have to keep his class ability on “passive” constantly hindering full DPS just so that he doesn’t lose the ability totally.
I think a lot of people that make the suggestion to keep the pet on passive (which I do myself) forget that dead or on passive you are bringing your DPS down substantially due to the way our class works.
pet hardly does any dps in large scale battles either way. They just die. I find it stupid but I deal with it. I mostly just preemptively dodge if I can since I can have a lot of vigor up time.

bots have been banned, maybe not all of them but some of them have. I checked frostgorge and it was empty of bots at least in my server.

u can burst most profs/specs down from 100 to 0 with LB #2, Sic Em, QZ, pet, and 10-20 vuln stacks.

Whats the point of a pvp server? The mist is cross servers so if you are there, you should just be able to find people there. And if you don’t play pve, what does the server even matter?
This doesnt work, however there is a bug right now that keeps a stealthed person targeted after they’ve stealthed for about a second. Is this what you are complaining about?
I have never seen this bug. At the most the target stays for 1/4 of a second which is how long Im guessing stealth takes to activate.
healing spring is pretty good from what I can tell. Heals 90% of what troll does and has a front loaded heal. AOE condition remove + regen is great especially for a bunker who can drop one for a teammate and give 300hp per tick.
Nobody good uses the pig. The pig can give you 1 item if you are prepared but is useless in combat. egg heals about 2k, tress removes conditions, elixir of heros is the only good one but 2 seconds on invulnerability is useless pretty much.
A healing bunker build I have tried:
Just stack as much defense and healing power you can and use 0/0/30/20/20. Run a powerful pet so it can actually do damage. Dwayna runes and cleric amulet. Cat+devourer is what I did.
gs and w/e. use healing spring instead of troll since it has condition remove and heals allies.
healing signet, sick em, signit of hunt or lightling reflex.

Its even worse if you are autowalking and trying to pick things up. Its a stupid bug and anet should feel bad that its there.
Anyone done any testing with this because this + rifle auto is supposed to have 1200 range but it would not hit anywhere near as far as my ranger with shortbow which is also 1200 range. I tried to run TA and most of my safe spots as my ranger just wouldn’t work. because of the lack of range.

The pets are designed to be less powerful then a player. They are basically equivalent to a player fighting a mob/boss that’s maybe 3-5 levels higher, without moving. Bears can be compared to a tank build, and felines to glass canons. This is the way that pets are designed to be. So if you are expecting pets to have the full survivability and functionality of a player, then you are waiting in vain.
AoE is a problem, though. Hopefully they are working on a solution to that.
Even a less powerful player could at least move out of aoes and dodge.
