crossfire is still one of the best bursts we can do, its not as fast as other stuff but it is decent with quickness.

Why does 100% world explore not require all the greyed out areas you can’t enter?

I think it would be better if guild leaders have icons instead of commanders in PvE.

The skill is very useful. It will complement any defensive build since you can quickly unload damage in a good situation. If you are tanky, you won’t need to roll as much anyways. With block skills like the shield and wrench kit you can tank hit instead of rolling them.

If you want 100% offensive build. You really shouldn’t be surprised when you have next to no survivability.

If there’s any class you have problems with soloing those bosses, then you’ll have to reevaluate whatever amount of time you have put into this game.

What really scares me is a well played ranger because most of them are incredibly bad at the game. You walk up to rangers pretty much expecting free kills only to finally find someone who actually knows how to dodge roll and kite. Then you’re doing the ‘o’ face because this ONE ranger out of hundreds is actually at least a decent player. He is not just a keyboard turning backpedaling free loot bag like all of the others. He is the highlander. There can be only one.

people make charactors and quit or make new ones. Thiefs probably make up more than 30% of players in WvW now.

If this game were deathmatch, I would agree, but right now the only mode is conquest. Thieves in stealth cannot capture or defend objectives, and with such a huge investment in toughness, vitality, healing power, etc. through traits, they have no chance of killing a competent bunker in enough time to make the point swing from an occasional kill worth it.

For conquest their builds are pretty much gimmicks that only exist to waste your time. While they are busy kiting, stealthing, and being annoying in hopes of eventually killing you 30 seconds later, they can watch you and your allies kill Svanir, Chieftain, Guild lords, or trebuchets.

wtf are you on… the thief can easily kill someone and delay points and cap them. they are also faster than all other classes meaning they can get to undefend points the fastest. The only problem I have is a choice few thieves that still seem to have figured out a way to perma-stealth, and I usually report them, so I can’t really say if it’s the stealth mechanic or not. Most thieves I fight only get to go back into stealth maybe once, and usually when they reappear, they are downed from AoE spam.

8v8 has no coherent strategy. The thing is also dominated with gc thiefs which will instantly kill you cause theres more than 1 of them most of the time.

You mean the game type where thiefs just continuously cloak and run away then come back then run away again? Oh right that’s what they always do.

1 thief can take stop a team of 5 people from killing him with cloak and heal on cloak and still output enough conditional damage to kill. Run away when health is low and nobody can catch him.

The point control game mode is basically tank heaven, and still most teams run 2-3 bunkers, 2-3 dps.

well, if 3 of them sit in the middle point, you will have an easy time getting both the other points and also any side objectives right now.

basically you want bunkers and support to grab flags. guardians would be pretty op with projectile deflect and general area control and tankiness.

3 guadian tanks grabs the flag, a entire team of 5 people won’t be able to bring them down.

I like all the thiefs saying they never die to other thiefs. I wonder why, maybe because shadowstep means you can’t be cc and the auto attack on a thief dodges 70% of incoming attacks. They should have a big thief battle royal and see what happens. Even without the rendering glitch, thief is the best class.

mobility, damage and survivability all in one. Even their downed skills are much better than most other classes.

I don’t know how people don’t realize this but even when a thief is not a glass cannon, they can still down people wearing full vitality/toughness gear in about 10 seconds.

Not only that but teleporting in and stun with first hit is just stupid. I mean, I see the thief. Im trying to prep for the defense but he gets to choose exactly when to engage and chain 15k damage before I can do anything when Im wearing full tank gear. This doesn’t down me and I can still kill the thief afterward IF THEY ARE kitten but they get any signal of danger and just gtfo.

If I wasn’t built to bunker with conditional damage the thief would just instantly kill me. The fact that I was still means its a tie. I can’t do anything about him and he is free to either try his luck again or prey on someone else. No other class can tie or win every time.

Thiefs have the most speed in wvw since elementalists can’t just ride the lightning across the map like in spvp and they are the class that can burst the easiest even without specing for glass cannon. They can run away from every other class but other thiefs, and maybe engineers with the right specs.

Now thief >= every other class.

hmmmmmmm. I wonder how come other classes can’t just say nope if they are hard countered? Why is it that a 100b warrior dies 5 seconds after he rushes me but a thief will just keep on walking doing the same if not more damage?

I think they should remove npc guards and if you want to keep your supply you station people there or else.

100 people is nothing. Opening week, you can’t even get out of overflow to do shadow behemoth.

or you heal the pet and let it get off 1 more pathetic attack on a boss before it dies.

I have yet to see a boss that spams aoe after aoe, there is a difference between putting your pet in passive for a couple of seconds than having it on passive the whole time.

Even in Lupicus two devourers can be alive for the whole fight…probably the charr fractal boss is the only one who “oneshots” your pet fairly often with the agony AoE to even whine about it.

Every other boss in an explore dungeon spams AOE left and right.

Anet just doesn’t see any money in PvP so their support is slow.

They could have made this game into an Esport with more content and somewhat better balancing. If they came out with $1 000 000 tournies like LoL and Dota 2 did, they would have much more people interested.
