I highly doubt it. If it is Gods vs Abaddon, this would make it a boss fight fractal. So unless this thing pops up once in a blue moon as a replacement of the Jade sea fractal, I don’t see it coming into the rotation. Also, if we transform, who will be which god? Random? Bleh.
On the other hand, a battle as a Forgotten squad vs the Margonites (which would still be human(ish) looking can follow the usual objective to objective to end boss theme.
Besides how hard can forgotten be to make? They’re basically Krait with bigger skin flaps.
I’m sure the battle raging in the heavens can cause all kinds of environmental hazards for those armies fighting below too, so there’s room for difficulty adjustment through that too (like agony lightning =/ )

I see the reactor fractal as the link with the unidentified fractal we’ve been teased about lately. A giant chaos magic bomb that connects with the mists could very well have sucked some Asura into the fractal. In fact, wasn’t there a city on that reactor?
If you think of the ramblings of that mad Asura in light of the reactor blowing up, it does make some sense.
The Abaddon fractal can imho only focus on the war between the Forgotten and the Margonites, with Jadoth being a probable end boss. Or maybe we’ll fight as Margonites, with both fractals thus ending with some sort of vortex/portal sucking them in.
Frankly I think Kiel is going to win. For anyone not interested in lore or not have played GW1, her reduced waypoint cost is far more appealing that a themed fractal which they might not even like doing. I’m for Evon though
Hurak Frostheart… Well it sounds very fitting to me. I’ll give it a 9/10 because I personally prefer Old Norse names.
Mine’s called Úlfr Skjótsson, which with some artistic liberty translates into "Son of the swift Wolf.
DC’d at final boss here, no box for me yet.
I’ll give it till tonight, which is your tomorrow I suppose, before sending a ticket
I’m worried…
Luckily there’s no way to see what level everyone has gotten, but I am certain that in a very short while a certain minimum level is going to be required to party up because the lower levels aren’t worth the time loot wise.
The difficulty alone will give away the level, and if too low I’m sure plenty of parties are going to be disbanded.
This dungeon has minimal requirements written all over it…
That’s an unfortunate way of putting it. I didn’t make this mistake but I’m sure many will.
The key part is +5 Agony resistance, obviously.
How useful that is, I don’t know.
Because they have a vibe of trying to be serious but don’t seem to realize how hilarious they really are. Also I prefer to look as different from humans as possible.
This, so much this!
I was playing through my story and I had to get these guys to look for artifacts or something as this one Charr kept saying he was “afraid of ghost cows”. Now since these guys were shady enough already I thought he was setting me up for a ambush, but not to long after, Ghost cows attacked.
That was the greatest quest I’ve EVER played. It was so funny!
“You gotta take your mind of it! think of something you like, like….bunnies. Don’t you like bunnies?”
" I do! They don’t Mooo!"
Bwahahaha XD
I have a necro called Byron Shadowfur (for the death cloak :p )
and a warrior called Katsumi Bittersteel.
Charr warriors are made to wield the Greatsaw!
“You will be glad to hear that we are adding recipes to the Mystic Forge that will allow you to throw stuff you get from the Black Lion Chests into it to get a special Halloween chest (no key needed for this one). These chests will include Halloween specific loot and give you a second chance to get one of the terrifying rare Halloween skins.”
One comma, it can make such a difference n’est-pas?
Nope, triple checked! No devil horns
They were temporarily removed because of some bug. Something about equiping it would delete your armor… or maybe something less scary, who knows.
Anyway they’ll be back when it is resolved.
It way “chance” is being interpreted is the main problem.
“When you open a chest you have a chance to get one these items”
Person A: “Oh goody, whenever I open a chest i’ll get one of these items and if I’m lucky I’ll get the one i want. If not, ah well I can trade for the one I want.”
Person B: “Oh deary, only a chance to get a weapon? And then it’s still random which one I’ll get? Maybe I should hold off on this…”
Person A’s line of thought is not far fetched. The chests are stocked with Halloween items, and you get a chance at these 6. I can easily understand this reasoning. Personally I was of the same idea. That still wouldn’t mean that e.g. the chainsaw is as common as the other items.
Clearly all the Person B’s are the winners here.
Guys, its this simple. You want something in life. Learn to work for it. Stop whining like a bunch of little kids and get over it. Nothing. Nothing is going to be handed to you on a silver platter. If you want something cool from this event, you have to be 1 of 3 things.
1. Determined as all hell to earn it, And work through the entire event to get it.
2. Rich as hell and just buy keys.
3. Really Really lucky.
If you are not any of those 3 things. Sucks to be you. Get over it. Life ain’t fair. Now if you excuse me. I have to get back to farming to EARN my weapon.
I haven’t complained 1 kitten bit, Even with the almost routine disconnects every 30-45 minutes or so.
I agree with you on working to get something you want, but this is a festival. It’s supposed to be fun, not work. What’s the point of adding all the festivities if you are going to push people away from them because they need to farm farm farm against the clock to get a ‘festive’ weapon?
I think the holiday weapons were poorly implemented.
