Make sure to get as close as possible. It hardly damages you up close.
Otherwise yea…dodge and mind the mines.
I don’t think they do, but really they should. With the time limit it’s insane to stretch the fight to throw 5 orbs.
And then there’s the fact that CC and DOT are the best things to have for most of the fights. Necro is probably one of the best classes to play in the gauntlet.
I don’t mind the challenge, and I’ve seen several people point to other unforgiving games where you die and die and die till you get the pattern down.
That’s all nice and well, but unlike those games you need a ticket for every try you do. Also, you have repair costs and even more annoying, you end up dead on the walkway hoping someone will revive you or you time out and drop dead in the middle of mobs with no choice but to wp.
Couldn’t they have just made us appear alive at the walkway again? The battles are hard enough as they are, all this time stretching is just annoying.
To quote the great Edna ‘E’ Mode: “Too much of it, Darling. Too much!”
I’m not saying she isn’t doable, she clearly is as many have done it now. However, she’s just a tad on the much side.
The first phase is just fine. You practice some and voila at this point you consistently get through it. But then…
Phase two is where it goes crazy…
Giant one shot aoe? No problem, it has a pattern and we can adjust to that. However, with Liadri going berserk on us, jumping us at every possible time and a load of walking ohko bombs running at us and pulling orbs messing with our movement and Liadri spamming cripple and weakness on us and she having a way too big health pool…
Too many and ’s. To make this still challenging, but doable with enough skill, something should have been dropped in phase two.
Stopping the visions would have made close ranging viable.
Stopping the cripple allows for more movement.
Stopping the rifts is the same.
Reducing her health makes it a short all out burst.
Alas, I’ll continue trying. With post-process rendering off of course, who wants to deal with another and, am I right?

I always assumed they were corrupted by the Jade wind Konig. Those creatures in the Jade Sea don’t really look all that…natural. I suppose you could be right, who is to say what’s natural in the world of Tyria anyway.
I’m appaled by the arrogance of your line of thought OP. In fact it’s a trend I see all over this forum now that the results are in.
The fact of the matter is that the Abaddon fractal would have given no new insights at all, while the reactor is an open box with endless possibilities. It’s just that the majority of the bunch doesn’t seem to have the creativity to see this potential and was blinded by the ‘epicness’ of a god battle.
Pfffsh, I’m glad we’re having this now anyway, because if Evon had won, the excrement would have hit the fan once his unimpressive fractal smashed all the unrealistic expectations of the ‘hardcore’ voters. At least now people already assume the fractal will suck so it can only get better from here on out.
It has a lot of flaws, and it’s extremely outspoken yea.
But it works in this colour scheme and is kind of appropriate for blind spam
The problem with the radiant set is that it doesn’t really go with anything else in game. At least I haven’t seen anyone with a set that included radiant parts and looked… good.
As for the hellfire set, I just can’t get excited over more flaming armour parts in addition to the ones already in game. I do feel someone at ANet’s has a bit of a fire fetish.
I disagree.
She doesn’t even have to get off her throne to fight. She’s a Mesmer.
Think battle against Faolain.
1. Plan to stick to PVE, dungeons and light PVP
2. Love soloing things that aren’t meant to be soloed
3. Would love a class that can run fast (Swiftness) or has a lot of mobility
4. Would like to bring a respectable amount of group support to a team while dungeoning
Lets see if we get a match.
Guardian: 1, 2, 4 with a minor in 3;
Warrior: 1, 3, 4 with a minor in 2;
Ranger: 1, 2, 3 with a minor in 4.
What do you consider most important? I would say Ranger would fit your criteria most. You’d have to practice good builds for dungeons though and will fall under the stigma of “ranger = bad for dungeons”.
Warrior and Guardian have no trouble getting dungeon parties however, but are either more easily defeated and in trouble once downed state hits, or a hassle to keep speedy.
Again pink weapons? The mists weapons weren’t enough? Really ANet, stop doing pink things.
Someone is insecure in his manhood
I’m totally secure in manhood man.
But really, would you use a pink weapon on a big norn with black armor?
I’m really hindered in doing so.
Norn do not care about colours for they are Norn!
FYI black and pink (well more fuchsia but who’s complaining right?) go well together. Hence the black sword with fuchsia runes. Contrast is where it’s at man!
If anything it’s the helm that’s bad.
9000 achievement points for that monstrosity? Come on, it barely has any detail, or, well, volume…
I’ve seen salad bowls with more appeal.
I enjoyed your sense of drama OP, well done indeed.
Lodestones for tokens, 100 tokens a piece.
Make it so!
So was I
I guess you mean the ones trapped in Jade? Well most of those we see are dead I’d assume, but it’s possible some Leviathans might have survived and have become common wildlife in the Jade Sea.
…If you consider the Jade Maw, that could be a scary thought.
Ironically, I’d say many drowned.
… Well the change wouldn’t have been that drastic to start but yea, the creatures we see in Factions are pretty much land dwellers. I suspect they can’t just go back to being aquatic (considering there is almost no water to be found at the Jade Sea during it’s jaded state). They probably turned to the little land available, which makes them susceptible to attacks from each other and the Luxons.

They’re just kitten ed off about justin biever’s continued existence and nicki minaj putting out more crap songs :/ can you blame the whole genocide business?I’m with the dragons on this one, sorry Tyria.
What was their problem 11.000 years ago then?
Cher? Badum tish
;D
So the question is… Do they have chest-mounted machine guns?
Or other bodyparts
“Look out! She’s got a leg!”
Maybe they are gifts to the queen by the wizard Isgarren and this is just the next step up to metallic elementals…
That would be interesting.
Each token will be turned into a random legendary.
…No seriously, I understand people want clarity, but this seems like a really trivial thing to ask. I do expect them to make sure any tokens we have in the bank don’t implode when the wallet goes live yes.
Sheesh I didn’t plan to start a war or anything…
Azurite is all nice and dandy but only usable for trinkets. The sentinel armor and weapons had insignia and inscriptions drop as loot.
So that said I think they’re pretty pointless considering the rarity and the fact that exotic trinkets are rapidly losing ground to ascended.
(edited by Evans.6347)
Well the silver lining is that you can at least pass it on to other casters you make.
I rarely buy a full set for one character, i switch those pieces all over my fashionable crew.
That’s probably because it’s story related. This happens sometimes in parts of the world which are used in story instances. E.g. in Queensdale, you can see the giant elemental from the human tutorial from a distance, but once you come close enough it disappears.
“I bought a car to drive me to McDonalds everyday. Now that they closed down the McDonalds I want a refund for my car!”
Actually more like this:
“I bought new tires for my car, but then the manufacturer said they would only last a week. Instead of giving me my money back they said too bad you had a whole week to use them”
………
False. The tires are still the same. Only fuel doubled in price so you don’t want to ride your car any more.
I’m getting real tired of these false comparisons… Here’s a real comparable real life situation:
“I like fishing and there’s this spot in the local park where there are lots of fish and everyone goes there. So I decide I’m going to buy a new lure to go fish there and catch more.
A week passes and suddenly there seem to be far less fish in the pond. In fact, almost nothing bites any more… Sure there are other ponds, but they are further away from my home and I’d have to put in more effort to get there. Also, it’s unlikely any other pond will have as much fish as this one used to have…
I suppose I’ll go back to the shop and I’ll demand my money back because the lure does not do what it said it would do. For the sake of clarity, let’s assume there’s no right of return of a purchase because I’ve tweaked the lure a bit. Well guess what, the store didn’t give me a refund. Less fish in the pond doesn’t mean my lure doesn’t work after all."

There’s a topic about it on the front page:
https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/game/lore/DR-Graveyard-Mysterious-Disappearances/first#post2528921
Why is nobody asking the more important question . . . ?
Why does that thing have a feminine shape up to and including, er, curves?
Have you seen the sheen on those parts. Someone loves his job all right.
I probably missed a dev post in this topic confirming that it’s a self use only item. I was under the impression it was just an account bound consumable mesmer port.
99 Luftballons
Auf ihrem Weg zum Divinity’s Reach
If it’s personal, I won’t even be able to use it to get new people through things like the frogger rocks on cof1 or the lasers in coe.
really really lame ANET
Well you won’t because like the portal gun, this consumable will very likely be disabled in dungeons.
True, by the end of the year. I wouldn’t be surprised to see Azurite and Quarts from bosses though.
What’s the point of all that work for the HoM weapons if they’re going to be left behind visually compared to their GW2 counterparts? Why release a version of the Icelord’s Diadem that doesn’t clip when the HoM one is RUINED by most of the hairstyles from any gender and race in the game? Why do the pieces in the light HoM armor clip with each other slightly? That’s almost as bad as T3 cultural armor that clips on the intended races, it’s outrageous. Why do Sylvari get oversized shoulder pieces in the medium HoM set? Why are the shoulders of the heavy HoM set floating almost a foot off my Norn’s shoulder?
Hmmm, the HOM skins have, imho, always been something that sets starting veteran players apart from the crowd. Like you can run around at level 2 looking like a lot more fancy than the other starters who have to wear country pants until level whatnot. Truth be told, few of that stuff has any endgame appeal.
Likely, they were said to come back.
…even if they’re rather pointless.
I was feeling frivolous.
Simple case of “omg this is more flashy, ergo this is better!”.
Fashion tip: Flashy does not always equal fashionable. There are many gear setup’s which will be more aesthetically pleasing with a Fellblade than with these pink neonboards. In fact, if anything these things will be much harder to style around.
I’m yet to see any (positive) reaction to the slew of topics like these. In fact, as grim as it is, I’ve recently read an interview in which they said making armour for a single race takes too much time and resources so they will continue making fit-all armours for now.
So don’t get your hopes up. Ironically, you’ll see few Charr-couture on the catwalk.
The portal is a one-time use consumable that effectively allows you to use a skill that is similar to the mesmer’s portal. We recognize thakittens a very powerful item, so the recipe is quite rare and takes considerable resources to manufacture.
And will we be able to use this skill in WvW/sPvP/Dungeons? Or just open world.
I’m incredibly wary of this. It sounds very close to P2W where you can pay a lot of gold to get access to an incredibly powerful skill.
or you could level a mesmer up to like 20
Levelling to 20 is so pre 5000 achievement points. Go with the times man!
Can I ask an honest question? Did you not notice these problems while previewing the armor? Considering the magnitude of problems I just find to imagine this looked even remotely good in preview
On a humorous note, this is one of those topics that shows that we complain about everything ain’t it?
Yes, the “Golden” title can still be acquired, simply by having 200g, since depositing coins into the bank is no longer possible.
Confirmed
NPC #219:
“More pansies, less parties!”
(edited by Evans.6347)
And we’ll all be like “Those clockwork sentinels are too copper-ish to be made out of aluminium. L2Design Anet !!!1!!1”
Golden remains, it just means 200 gold in the wallet now. This was confirmed.
Is this still going on?
You can discuss this until the cows come home but it’s not going to make a difference.
Removing silver drops from bosses, making the gilded infusion less desirable, is not the same as removing a stat from a piece of equipment. The gilded infusion will continue doing what it was advertised to do, however removing critical damage from e.g. Berserker armour does change what it was advertised to do. Berserker means +power, +precision, +crit damage. If they’d change that I would agree that a refund would be viable.
As it stands now, there are 4 utility infusions. One giving more karma, one giving more magic find, one giving more experience and finally the gilded infusion giving more money. Now, what I ask all of you who cry murder here, which one would you prefer then?
-> Karma? Most people complain about having too much karma and nothing to spend it on.
-> Experience… eh yea?
-> Magic find will be removed soon, this is known. So don’t even bother with this.
So, you’re saying you’d rather get a marginal increase in karma or experience instead of the extra coppers you get from mobs? And while I type this I realise that each of those resources can get exploited just the same, either for crafting or for orrian boxes, but then it’s still highly questionable if the final profit will exceed the extra gold you’d gathered while doing events for karma or kills for experience.
Despite the fact that the output you had will be diminished due to circumstances changing, the gilded infusion remains as solid a choice as the other two. There will be no refund, there is frankly no solid argument as to why they should.
(edited by Evans.6347)
Hey that sucks, but you know life is kinda a bit more important.
I do hope you get a chance to play though.
Gilded Infusion
Type
Utility infusion
Double-click to apply to an item with an unused utility infusion slot.
+20% Gold from Monsters
Where does this specifically mention dungeon boss drops again?
This discussion is going nowhere. I’m saying the item in question has no change in functionality. It isn’t falsely advertised either. It does exactly what it says it does.
You’re arming yourself in community advertisement.
“I bought it because everyone did for that reason, and now it’s not living up to the expectations any more.”
How do you even scam someone in Guild Wars 2?
I’m not commenting on whether or not you deserve a ban, I’m just genuinely perplexed that you can scam anyone in this game, let alone scam someone out of their Dawn.
yes if you look at a famous staff that was the most desired for long it went from 80 G to 20 in 1 week.
To finally rest at about 3G.
“How do you distinguish yourself in this game?”
With fashion sense, something few players seem to have.
Rubbish. If you want to make a somewhat appealing and comparable statement you should create a scenario where we’d keep our Berserker armour, but some other stat gets boosted, shifting the meta towards that leaving our Berserker armour absolutely identical to before, but useless now because none of us play it any more.
And surely we’ll call for refunds then too right? Right?
It’s still your interpretation of the usefulness that matters. The gilded infusion is not changing one little bit through all this and still has it use. I’m sorry you find it insufficient but that’s not ours, nor Anet’s problem but your own.
