You can try to actively get some by either buying them from the trading post, craft them using your crafting disciplines, exchange karma or dungeon tokens for them or try to get them from world drops.
Until you do, Rare quality works just as well and is very cheap.
No it’s not. The stat ‘budget’ already exceeds the stat totals of other sets.
I don’t understand how these complaints keep coming. Making a time gated exotic set with relatively hard to get materials just for the magic find is absurd. And for what reason? Because it made you less of a burden in a party? Barely.
Anyway removal of MF from these sets change nothing to the combat usefulness of the set. It keeps a balanced stat total.
Well there’s no point in selling the pixelated fur before shooting the 8-bit bear.
I’m quite interested to see how far you’ve taken the concept.
Precursor =/= legendary though, which is his point.
That said, I think I get the general gist of that OP. Maybe?
It’s not very clear…
Depends on what the minstrel will be like. If that one has some, then no, the FSP will be the only one.
I love the potential but I really question the idea of such a mode with lives needed.
Josh made a reference to farming gold for potions in FF, but with all due respect, that game was hard but not unfair. It certainly doesn’t fit the genre you’re trying to recreate.
Blocking progress with lives is just silly. If you run out of live you need to grind more again, only to lose a whole lot of them while trying to get the feeling for the level. And that might end you up with none by the time you reached your previous progress.
Are you guys never happy?
Oh, hello there rhetorical question!
I can’t understand why anyone can defend their birthday fiasco honestly.
Now I’m very mellow at most of what happens to the game and I always try to see the reasoning behind some decisions. However, on this one I can only write it down to ‘lack of effort’. This underwhelming gift clearly had no line thought or effort put into it. In fact it’s very, very obviously that a cut and paste was put in in favour of the gem store.
Queen mini is an obvious development for the Queens Jubilee story line. The scroll already existed and the booster is just a combination of several existing boosts. And then a new mini pack was conveniently released at the moment we were expecting a random minipet gift for our birthdays… come on, it’s crystal clear isn’t it?
I was baffled by their lack of understanding.
“It’s the least played race”
Yes because pretty much everything you have looks horrible on them!
“So they’re not a priority.”
facepalm
Legendary armour can only exist as racial armour and look good, this is a fact.
They better get off their lazy one for all attitude with this or it’s going to be a legendary disappointment.
It’s not unheard of actually. You have Rojan the Penitent, the NPC who sells the Icy Runestone, who is a Son of Svanir that rejected Jormag. Despite this, it shows during the Claw event chain that Jormag still have power over him, but he appears to resist it.
Not only are they several topics about this already, but you also spew quite a bit of unfounded drama there.
I’m personally in the process of making the FSP, only missing the T6 stuff, and even though it made me a little sad not seeing more love for the shield, saying it has no skill animation is, well, totally false. In fact, the FSP is the only legendary that has a ‘skill animation’ for almost each skill you can use (sans the shouts).
Yes, it’s only a turning page, but it does so for every skill you use. It has a nice energy vibe surrounding it and it’s generally more graceful than other legendaries.
The only thing that would benefit it is imho an aura, but I’ve come to understand why they thought it was good as it is.
The only thing that bothers me is that they had to improve other, already very ‘in your face’ legendaries with even more kitsch. I’m looking at you Dreamer!
(edited by Evans.6347)
Meanwhile, the Dreamer, a bow that shoots freaking unicorns, got his very own footfall effect. ’Cause why not right?
Well thanks to Angel we know that Mesmers can make illusions in people’s mind that don’t show to other people so they just think they’re insane.
… Oh wait that was some super big secret even Mesmers don’t talk about.
Happy now? Now go shine your light and bright up someone else’s world.
I think it’s a fair representation of forum users. It’s just that we need to keep in mind that we only represent a small fraction of the entire playerbase and we are generally all critics : )
Weeeelllll, we do have a few official statements by Anet that they make content with the intention that events should be completed and not more rewarding when failed.
Basically farming the event is against their vision, but then they shouldn’t make it more profitable I suppose.
I’m confused by the reaction to this.
Obviously a lot of work and effort was put into this, but the value of those results is highly questionable.
At best this somewhat shows the opinion of a fraction of the most vocal forum users.
Everyone should be white and shiny and nobody can possibly be hurt!

Want to spice up a conversation? On this forum it’s simple. Throw in one or a combination of following words and watch the topic boom:
1. Grind
2. Manifesto
3. Mary Sue
Success guaranteed!
Hmm that’s right.
Baubles, bubbles, bauble bubbles…pah I’ve been mixing it all up. I was thinking of bauble bubbles in different colours.
Anyway, the Tribulation weapons won’t drop from bosses, you still need to gather enough baubles of a colour. It seems very likely that Tribulation mode will be far, far harder to solo.
Each Tribulation Mode zone end chest will drop an item. You’ll need all three from a World, along with a weapon design purchased from Moto. Combine those in the Mystic Forge to create your Tribulation Mode colored weapon. Keep in mind we only have Worlds 1 and 2 right now, so the only colors available this release will be Green and Yellow.
Re-post with Official Dev Credentials:
The Tribulation Mode skins are color-shifted variants of the regular set. Each World has a color. Blue is the general SAB color (so not gained through Tribulation Mode), Green is World 1, Yellow World 2, Red World 3 and Purple World 4. This follows the Bauble value color scale. But don’t get your hopes up for getting the Tribulation color variants. Tribulation Mode is ridiculously difficult and time consuming. I don’t expect to see many green or yellow super skins out there. TM is there for a very small group of people who are into that sort of thing.
This is sort of confusing…
So you need 3 items from the chest of each zone in a world. Okay.
Then you need the weapon design from Moto. Now at first I though this means we update the SAB skins to another colour using the items… Still, I can’t help but notice you said weapon design instead of skin.

Yea it’s amazing isn’t it?
Now we can pick berserker stats and change to berserker stats when we do other content.
Liadri upped my counter quite a bit.
But are you real, or are you but a forum account…?
I don’t know what to believe any more!
A while ago, after some major trait changing patch, I was doing the Aetherblade dungeon on my Warrior and I was dealing so little damage, I was truly perplexed and ashamed. It was only after the dungeon I noticed all my trait points were reset. facepalm
I know people have been raving about the mesmer, but isn’t it kinda.. girly?
Only if you’re not man enough for it.
Slap Miley Cyrus alongside that and you have the most offensive class.
Will we gain any kind of gold from SAB #2 ?

@Leablo, I had 8 characters that I could speed run with.
and @Xuro. darn, does make sense that they would do something like that, world 2 looks like it couldn’t exactly be speed(sped?) ran anyways, at least not the first level with the raft
Indeed! And it gave me your username.
Let’s be ambitious and immediately go for craftable breathers, ascended quality. God forbid we can finally slap something remotely useful on our heads underwater.
I mean come on, even Anet doesn’t take underwater combat seriously.
What? Only three?
Are you one of those rare optimists?
Yep, water combat is what everybody is waiting for. No doubt about that.
I mean, considering how well it was received and all the praising topics about it.
As cute as it is to imagine, let’s immediately be realistic and say it’s never going to happen
What we need is more damage for world exploration!
+25 Vitality
+3% Critical Damage
+50 Vitality
+5% Critical Damage
+90 Vitality
+10% damage when world exploration is above 90%.
Anything but the return of the Greatsaw ¬.¬
I concur, but only so i can continue to go for weeks at a time without seeing anyone else using it and still get whispers asking me where i got something so awesome
How egocentric!
Yea me too![/secret order of the greatsaw handshake]
It’s like a regular handshake, but without the hands.

With any luck they’ll be in BL chests!
Somehow people seem to be incapable of imagining sigils being incorporated in new infusions.
But no matter, we simply don’t know yet.
Unlike the OP, Meteorlogicus’ blue was the only reason why I STOPPED being a TA armor charr.
If it turns purple I will be forced to don the wedding dress again so my outfit matches both legendaries. And I’d have to stop using a Zodiac Dagger and get Peacemaker/Nightmare.
Before and After Meteorlogicus entered his life:
It’s like watching an extreme make-over show.
The pink ‘YOLO’ hat had better not make it’s way to the Gem Store.
Somehow I want this now. So badly.
Nothing quite like sticking your hand into a jute bag and squeezing out a stick of butter.
I don’t know, generally that’s what people do after a while. Especially very old people are susceptible to that.
Or she died. But we never pick the easy answer do we?
I suppose I was just making a point that there will always be plenty of people around who will always put the blame on something or someone else, even if they have to get creative to do so.
And if all else fails, there’s always ‘lag’.
It’s easier by far to make small group content extremely hard, because you’re limited primarily by your own lack of skill. Clock Tower is a very good example. There’s only one person to rage against when you fail.
Oh ho ho ho. I just had to comment on this while I was reading through.
There were and still are plenty of people to rage at in jumping puzzles, the larger the character the better.
You can’t believe the abuse I got for doing it on my Charr.
Luckily, time heals all wounds.
I don’t understand your comment. Killing the Toad King was probably the slowest way to gather baubles… I just ran through the first levels with 8 characters a day. All you need to buy is bombs really.
Anyway, the Tribulation weapons won’t drop from bosses, you still need to gather enough baubles of a colour. It seems very likely that Tribulation mode will be far, far harder to solo.
Oh right, you mean they should symbolise your skill and not your wealth right? Hmm, I guess. You have to consider these weapons would be a magnificent cash cow for the dedicated too.
Then transmutate it now for heavens’ sake. What sort of rhetorical question is this?
You’re not seriously going to stick a legendary weapon on a character you don’t use if you still have the option to ‘fix’ it?
The title is account based, so you can spread all disciplines and still wear the title on a character that hasn’t even touched crafting.
Joy!
You are all too clever to play this game.

They’re all overpriced too.
