Hope it’s not too late to chime in, but it’s pronounced “teh-KWAHT-ul.” Kind of rhymes with “heck bottle,” with the accent on the “BOT.”
That’s how we say it in-house and how we have NPCs say it in-game through VO.
Now we need you guys to pronounce all the Gaelic Sylvari names correctly
Let’s start with Trahearne, that should stretch this topic for another 2 or 3 pages at the very least.
The problem is that due to the instant kill nature of the poison swamp, even the slightest server lag is a kill on you, even if you play your best.
I died all of the time there too, but beat him several times though. Best way is to stay on the big pad and just dodge his attacks.
Why all so negative?
“Trendsetter”
“Winner takes it all”
“Armed to the teeth”
Are you that desperate for attention? lol.
Seems like it. I’ll pray for you Kosmos.
So are we now assuming these things will be trade able instead of account bound like all other ascended drops?
Also do we know how they drop? It is a Tequatl box which lets us choose a skin with a fixed prefix or is it a weapon which lets us pick the stats? The first seems more logical.
I could easily see the Tequatl chain yield a guaranteed daily exotic or higher yes.
Nobleman, Avenger or Protector helmet if you want a winged theme.
A picture would probably help a lot…
EDIT: Added. Hmmm I’ve browsed through the armors and I can’t really say I’m finding a match.

Complaining about polished legendaries is silly in the light of the tabloid shield or chicken harp.
Lets help those in need first shall we?
Despite the fact that the “prestige” skills are fairly easy to get (at least the King Toad ones), I think you’d be surprised how many people do not want to put in the effort to get them.
Farming world one for baubles is mindless. Doing trib mode requires dedication and concentration. Many won’t bother.
Finally, the skins themselves aren’t all that popular either. You know, they’re kind of out there and complement almost no armor (luckily, it does work with magitech armor).
Name of that Storm Wizard's final form?

On a related note, does anyone know what video game this boss is inspired by?
King toad of the funghus kingdom is an obvious reference to Wart from Super Mario brothers 2 (see attachment) but I have no idea what the Storm Wizard would be. The dragon destroying platforms reminds me of Megaman somewhat…
EDIT: actually, he’s probably inspired by the “Dragonlord” from the original Dragon Warrior (which later became Dragon Quest) who starts off as a weak wizard and turns into his ‘true form’ after taking enough damage.

I believe that your chance at extra resources per node is affected by how well your world is doing in world vs world.
Turns up with a pearly white Ebonmane’s greatsword
What? You said Ascended Weapons only!
Well that’ll get you a ticket scrap…maybe.
I don’t think they’re all that bad. I do, however, dislike the fact that the colours depend on the stats, because the ones I like have horrible stats on them (celestial, sentinel, cleric).
That I doubt actually. I don’t think your items save their whole history in the data.
But hey, feel free to try :p

Or just keep the cost and make them double effective. Isn’t that what upgrades are supposed to do?
He’ll more likely get his own ascended weapon prefix with some lame stat combination. Something with major vitality maybe.
Of course, it’s called transmutation splitters and it’s big business!
All bosses in one foul swoop?
Well I can only imagine they’ll finally take away the cap on how many players the boss can hit with it’s attack.
No more standing there in a giant shockwave and be fine, now all the melee kicks the bucket.
Mmmm, that made me feel giddy…
Tea Kettle.
Personally I’d say The Kettle but we’re in the same line of beverage heaters.

You’ve had a relatively easy life haven’t you?

Well I wonder what this puppy is capable of…

Would they ban someone for playing the game using their own gaming keyboard?
They should have never introduced achievement point rewards. But everyone loves their shinies sooo much they’d rather bore the crap out of them grinding the LS and then whine about it over here, than actually play the parts of the game they enjoy.

Well you gave your own answer there didn’t you.

Why wouldn’t you be allowed to do this? Pretty much any gaming equipment has the basic ability of binding several buttons together. Besides, it’s only 2 buttons pressed at once.
I can understand that they don’t answer on it for several reasons, but personally I wouldn’t think anything of it. You can just as well press 2 other buttons at the same time, so whatever.
And even if, despite all previous comments, they are too easy to obtain, so what?
King Toad weapons are literally the easiest tribulation mode weapons. You will not find as many Storm Wizard weapons, I assure you. And you’ll see even less red or purple ones in the future.
It’s just a skin. If anyone wants to get them to feel special, they might feel ripped off.
So now that that’s settled I have to say I had a couple of chuckles reading cosmetic complaints in the title of the topic only to come across a picture of the most overdone and boring armor.
Well, to each their own.
Btw, green nor yellow fit with that black/red/blue fire armoured plant theme you have going there, cosmetically speaking.
I managed to struggle through twice for my pewpewpew pistols

Just buying the upgrade is the equivalent of 60 hearts, god forbid that would give us an advantage for further purchases.
Its no big deal in the end cause potions are meh, but its not logical.

I agree. I was wondering why they got so expensive…
Either raise the large potion to 5 hearts or reduce the price to 5 or 10 baubles.
The “first” crafted ascended weapon
and it’s a carrion greatsword…
Talk about anti-climatic
SAB is just getting interesting, with the hidden story and the just released short story!
This is as good a place to ask it I suppose:
Do the Nunchaku do more damage than the regular stick?
Oh is that what it is?
Never heard of Twin Peaks till today =/
Anyone tried to use the Glove of Wisdom on them?
The video’s I’ve seen had people jumping from little stone #1 to #2, back to #1 and then on the big monster rock and onward.
…if that helps.
Distinction/honor in anger management
Here you go guys: im pretty proud of what i achieved!
As you should, amazing!
Only one needs it, but that also makes that person invaluable.
I had to leave my party somewhere near the end of zone 3 (i hope at least) because of time constraints and motion sickness yesterday, so I hope the party managed to get to the end without me cause I had the only torch
Purple colour weapons, not legendary weapon rarity.
Though beating world 4 on tib mode by itself will be legendary.
How handy, thank you for that
Well it’s based on the principle of “going back and getting an upgrade before you can continue” found in many exploration games.
Luckily, I knew of it in advance so I didn’t blow all my baubles on the flute :p
You need it, several times further in too.
This has to be the best kept spoiler of all times.
Darnit, I want to knooooooooow!!
throws tantrum
Oh right. I just assumed you had some sort of point to make here, but I guess it’s just hot air.
Carry on.

As far the owls that litter the World, do they need to be infinitely spawning? They aren’t difficult, just annoying. The owls add no additional challenge, they only serve to make the game less rewarding.
The owls are not what they seem.
I hate it when people are mysterious, trying to intrigue me.
And succeed.
Your bored because of your own greed. Frankly I don’t know why anyone would feel sympathy for that.
Hmm you blame them for your own spoiling?
