I’m with Evon on this one.

What I understand out of this skullmount is that in tribulation mode, each world will drop specific coloured bubbles, of which 250 make one specific coloured bauble. You’ll likely need 50 coloured baubles for 1 specific colour skin.
It is very doubtable that they will change such an intricate recipe, but in your case, considering how very close you are, I’d just go for the finish before the update hits.
Don’t be silly, you could whack that boss in 3 shard feedings.
Generally took me a couple of minutes.
I’m not going to pursue this any further but what I meant was that any player, yes even a ranger, must be an incredibly talented person if they never get hit. At all. Never.
Aside from that I’m just discussing for the sake of it. I’ve found Celestial gear worthless since it was released.
You should be honoured! Clearly your Meteorologicus is going to change according to which level you finish SAB in Tribulation mode.
It can be blue, green, yellow, red or even purple!
I’d prefer it if they adjusted most legendaries to affect the skill animations for all professions that use it. They did it to some, why not all?
The minstrel, Tom?
Everyone loves the chicken harp.
Yes yes, vitality and toughness are generally frowned upon because everyone is so perfect that they never get hit or swamped by enemies right?
Not everyone is part of the glorious permadodge club.
So really it boils down to one query from me:
If this game is really so bad then why are you people still playing ? It makes the forums less enjoyable for players like me who genuinely like the game.I’m not. I’m logging in to do dailies for laurels in case I do play again one day and want those for something. But that’s about it.
I continue to post here because I hope for better things for it. IMO, it has a lot of potential that’s just going to waste. I’m hoping to see that potential fulfilled.
Hmm, so basically you are playing the game.
As far as the company is concerned you are a customer that logs in on a daily basis and you are thus a very welcome statistic.
And like that there are so many people who claim to have left the game or aren’t playing anymore, but still consistently log in and provide activity numbers, thinking they are making a difference when in reality they are being beneficial.
You’re right, that is shocking.
I’ve read rumours of data being in the game that appears to be a reverse transmutation stone.
And there you go.
There have been hints going about that these new materials will be gained by other means than gathering (much like the fused quartz). Those materials will be accountbound too.
I very much doubt there will be new tools to be bought. I’ve heard in the past that the T7 might include most if not all of the T1 to T6 materials in their ‘recipes’.
I have to be honest, I can only conclude that crafting an entire time-gated exotic set for the purpose of MF is a very bad investment.
Now that MF is going, what is left is a very niche armor set, which to me it was from the very start. However, as MF was not the original purpose of the set and that the stat totals are still very high without it, I can understand Anet’s decision not to compensate.
Hah, indubitably.
However, should you zoom in on them you’ll see they are little patches of lush grass and yellow flowers. It just blurs….horribly at a distance.
Time to implement small and large infusions then.
The greatswords without a doubt. Also, the amount of times you see them just puts me off. I find my Greatsaw more legendary than those (or at least for a little longer).
Twilight gets my personal vote for the ridiculous black sludge dripping off your character when they walk. Kudzu is my follow up because it’s footstep effect look like puddles of vomit from a distance.
It upsets me a lot to see that people hate on twilight just becuase its the most common legendary, Do you know how childish that sounds, just get what YOU like, and tbh i love the twilight, i saw it before i purchased the game and knew even before HOW to get it that i HAD to get it xD
basically read my signature xD all i need is my gift of Exploration and im 85% :S
Oh I’m sorry, I thought this was a highly subjective topic discussing tastes. I didn’t realise that makes me childish.
For the record, it’s because I am of the personal opinion that the greatswords look lousy and overdone that I’m close to finishing my Flameseeker Prophecies. I want this legendary because I will use it on my main who inherited the name and legacy of my GW1 main who in his turn completed the Flameseeker Prophecies. I will thus treat it as an heirloom.

Anything but the return of the Greatsaw ¬.¬
Charged Quartz better not be an ingredient

As a more serious reply, I think charged quartz has a very high chance of being a component. Considering the one Ascended weapons we’ve seen has a rainbow colour sheen over it, quartz could be responsible for the refraction.

Search you heart Avatara, deep down you know that it will!

I said this before, it’s not in the interest of the Asura to graduate from several Colleges. The Colleges are the stepping stone to making their own discoveries and theories. Most Asura stay affiliated with one College simply to use their resources. Furthermore, each College is convinced that it is the best and the others are amateurs. The Asura simply won’t waste their time on it, but Scarlet did.
Also, they accepted Scarlet in several College’s purely out of interest and probably to prove that the previous Colleges are subpar because she would never graduate from their College.
Secret boss fight: Liadri, in 8-bit!
At least in SAB we can whip her back >:p
I still don’t agree that Scarlet has an absurd high IQ. She certainly doesn’t act the part and so far she has fallen for incredibly predictable traps (the queen being an illusion for one).
What she has is, as said, the inept ability to see mechanics and processes. All of her ‘studies’ involved processes and mechanics in one way or another.
General engineering, metal casting, fire arms and demolitions, poisons and then the Asuran colleges, which for all we know let her pick a choice of study which complemented her natural ability.
So does that make her incredibly smart or just very crafty? Then when she witnessed ‘the Eternal Alchemy’, her insight just got conveniently extended to all of reality.
My theory (with credit to others who I don’t know to name)…
The Pale Tree is a champion of the Forest Elder Dragon. Ventari found the Pale Tree’s seed in a cave amongst many and raised it, leaving it behind the Ventari Tablets. Just like Glint strayed from Kralkatorrik, the Pale Tree has strayed from the Forest Elder Dragon. Scarlet probably sees that the Pale Tree is just as controlling of the Sylvari as the Forest Elder Dragon is of the Nightmare Court. Serving to serve neither lets Scarlet choose her own path.
My dear, you seem a pleasant person so I hope no lore enthusiasts come across your post
Again, its not a nerf. It’s just taking an existing sigil and throwing a bunch of T6 materials and ecto on it.
Surely anyone who wants to wield ascended gear can afford a trifling cost?
Like what?
We only have ascended trinkets and backpacks, neither of which can be upgraded with sigils and have their jewel counterpart included in their stats.
Either the ascended weapons will come with an inherent sigil (unlikely), a sigil and infusion slot, or new infusions will be made for weapons and armor.
Accurate infusion, Battle infusion, Bloodlust infusion…
Clearly both are using plot shields, a very powerful NPC ability.
Well who’s to say the new infusions won’t incorporate sigils?
I feel more expensive kitten coming up.
Clearly it’s going to affect something :p
And boss weapons. Rejoice farmers, you can now do it even more in 8-bit!
Why settle for a blue glowing pixel bow when you can have a yellow glowing pixel bow!!!
Don’t do that! Who knows how good it will become!!
… or it might suck.
Which brings us to new weapons referring to King Toad and Wizard ^^
Since we’re quoting screenshots anyway. Notice the 4th one?
“Account Magic Find. "
Byebye MF armor and weapons, nice knowing you!
And the yellow bow has King Toad-Wizard on it. Seems like the SAB bosses are going to drop special items too.

In theory at least. However, it could be possible that the Sylvari at some point or circumstance develop a means to procreate and make new Pale Trees. Comparable in nature to the life cycle of the jellyfish.
But we don’t know because no such thing has happened yet or is implied to happen.
That’s a bit of a stretch imo. It more likely has a day and night cycle now with the picture being the night animation.
How do you in any conclude that it would depend on attunement? There seems to be no indication that the Sylvari in the picture is an elementalist to begin with.
I disagree with Evans, there are more sylvari than just those from The Grove, and those sylvari do not have the dream, and they seem to be just fine, except for the one guy with amnesia who tells us of the other sylvari. I do wonder how much empathy sylvari feel towards one another, as the dream certainly enhances it.
My problem is that this revelation of sylvari having predetermined fates, I don’t like that so much, even if our characters are predetermined to be heroes.
You disagree with me how exactly?
Also, I was avoiding spoilers, but since you opened that up for us, yes I did reference more than one ‘Pale’ tree.
Without the Pale Tree(‘s, for the sake of not considering her a unique organism) the Sylvari are probably doomed with extinction. The fact that they are still so young means we don’t really know if at some point the Sylvari themselves would produce offspring, but it is implied that they won’t.
It’s also very likely that the death of the Pale Tree would sever all remaining Sylvari from the Dream.
That still brings the question why she is dragging them along with her to witness all the battles.
I saw these things pop up in LFG yesterday and I was wondering how they did this solo or with 2 players.
And now I know, more of my naivety is swatted away.
Yet she did see her own purpose in a way. She saw herself as the dusty red vines squeezing the life out of the Pale Tree until the Pale Tree herself snapped Ceara out of that vision.
I suppose I’ve answered my own questions here. The Pale Tree declared her a danger because she is a threat to the life of the Pale Tree.
I suppose since both are comical in one way or another, she might actually be trying to get comical acknowledgement from them. This would imply that she cares a great deal about her behaviour.
What exactly is it that she is trying to change? Fate?
What I get is that she saw the fate and purpose of the sylvari, claims to have seen the whole of Eternal Alchemy (but hasn’t), and is now trying to break the sylvari race from the chains of their purpose (aka Wyld Hunts).
I partially agree Konig. It seems to me she is talking on a larger scale than just the Sylvari.
“But I see the flaws in that design. My people don’t have to take what we’re given, or be what we were “born to be.” No people do. We can change the rules…well, I can. And I’m going to.”
So even though clearly the Sylvari are a big part of it, what seems to drive them also drives the other races. And she intends to change it.
I’m also still very interested in the reaction of the Pale Tree. Where she just ignored Caderyn, she flat out declares war against Ceara.
There’s a lot of discussing going on here, but unfortunately besides the point imho. I’m still completely flabbergasted.
What exactly is it that she is trying to change? Fate?
I’ve learned so much,” Scarlet continued. “Now I have to put that knowledge to use. An insurmountable challenge is rising, and my people have been called to meet it. We are compelled by our creator to do so.
“But I reject that call. I reject the notion that that I must choose the Dream or be lost to Nightmare. The forces that push us this way or that can be redirected. They can be set against one another to the detriment of both, and now I know how.”
The Sylvari are called to rise against an insurmountable challenge. I would assume this is the Elder dragons right?
Then she continues talking about the forces that push us, with us still meaning the Sylvari I assume. Which forces does she mean? Does she mean Dream and Nightmare, meaning both are ‘sentient’? She means to set them against each other, but isn’t that what is happening already?
Or perhaps she means to put the Elder Dragons against one another.
I’m wondering. The Pale Tree was very clear about her message. Either you’re with me or you are a threat. Also, her purpose is clear: defeating the Elder Dragons.
But to what point? What does she gain out of it?
Considering what we know about the nature of magic and the fact that we sort of know the Pale Tree is rooted in that magical circuit, would it be a logical assumption the Pale Tree is to gain a significant amount of nourishment or power for each Elder Dragon that is removed?
Has she, by circumstance, become the embodiment of Tyria itself? She apparently can feel the soul of Tyria (A light in the Darkness) after all. I suppose that would push her into the cliché representation of Yggdrasill.
I agree with Kebtiz.8370, part of the issue is poorly designed events.
Examples:
I’ve saved Lord Faren & defeated Scarlet, got the Defender of the Crow achievement but, I still have to go back and do it again, wait, what! This time to I have save Faren in 3 mins. and defeat Scarlet again with out dieing, what’s wrong with that sequence of events? What kind of story telling is that, huh?
And who’s fault is that?
It’s very common for games to have additional goals to make certain segments harder. They are there so you can achieve them and feel good about it. That’s all they are, a little tick that shows how good you are.
And that’s where it all went wrong. With the inclusion of achievement rewards, for which the community has begged and begged, they completely ruined the whole concept of achievements. Instead of doing them because they are a challenge, or because you want to expand the content you enjoy and bring it to a new level, you now have a bunch of people who have to do it because they need the rewards.
Of course they neither have to, nor need it, but people just have to be the best at everything and get the most out of it.
Thinking like that, the darn LS is way too much of a chore. I have long stopped caring about those achievements. I don’t have the time, nor the patience to try and get a 45 minute long invasion in 13 different maps done. I’m not even online enough to actually see it happen in 13 different maps. So I’m glad they added LS achievements to the daily rotation, so I don’t have to do it all to make the meta.

I’m missing Timberline Falls in that list.
Well that’s unnecessarily harsh.
The difference is that he sees deeper meanings behind seemingly unimportant one liners. That’s no baseless speculations or plot armour at all, but an open mind willing to look past the end of their own nose.
Bringing this back up, another, albeit questionable link pointing at twisted creatures being the in-between is that you apparently need to put 4 twisted creatures mini’s in the mystic forge to make a steam creature mini.
Random? I think not!
