I assume so as well, or I’m having endgame raids for dinner tonight.
That’s just splitting hairs. The copies represent the same lore as the originals.
You say that as if you believe that all the people who critique the fight haven’t been able to beat her.
Actually I think it will indeed just pick the legendary like Isis says, and an exotic pearl weapon with the stats.
I doubt if the game remembers which skin you used to transmutate with…
You’re just being a sourpuss for the sake of it.
There is nothing that implies legendaries will ever be outdated, in fact all signs point against it.
Actually, you don’t create anything piece by piece.
You bribe Zommoros with specific gifts so he hands you over the legendary.
Dont be silly.
Anet isn’t that stupid to get the wrath of by then loads of Legendary holders on their neck. A level 80 Legendary is worthless when the cap is 90. They will be easily upgradable.
I’m fairly sure at least legendaries will level along, either automatically or by a simple MF recipe.
200-ish of each T6 mat to go for my gifts of might and magic. Aside from that another 150 ecto and 100 Icy runestone.
With that I’ll have everything to create the Flameseeker Prophecies.
Elementalist is a very, very active class to play. Basically you have to form a sequence of skills over several attunements, while staying on the move at all times.
The “problem” with elementalists is that they have both he lowest vitality (hit points) and toughness (defense) in the game. That makes for an incredibly squishy class. The class itself covers that with defensive skills, but most of those can’t be used very effectively at lower levels.
The result is that new players will die, a lot. If you already have experience with dodging, boons, movement and enemy patterns, it becomes less of an issue.
Elementalists do make for some of the most varied and challenging experiences in the game though.
Downhill?
The Community fell of a cliff!
Yep, it’s a problem. This should be fixed.
It’s an annoyance, not a problem. It doesn’t take much to tap a button on your keyboard every couple minutes.
“This is a hit for alts.”
Mmmm, I read that a lot. But if those people are honest to themselves, how many use all their alts in high ++ fractal levels? Because let’s be honest, that’s where ascended is going to make a difference. It’ll be slightly noticeable in WvW, but that format is unbalanced by default.
So? Of those 8+ alts, how many actually need the ascended stuff?
Personally I admit that I only play my guardian and warrior in end game content, and that doesn’t even include fractals, so these new weapons are a nice new goal to work towards, at a steady pace. I doubt I’ll be kicked out of an AC run for not having ascended gear.
Well even though all are casters, they play vastly different. I can tell you my first pick, but that means little of the playstyle of that profession does not appeal to you.
Let me say this first, in terms of difficulty, from easy to hard:
Necromancer -> Mesmer – - – - – - – - – - – - -> Elementalist
I’d pick a Mesmer because they are wanted in end play. That means your first lv80 would not be locked out by the occasional elitism. Keep in mind that Mesmer is rather underwhelming until you hit level 40 and you can start playing with Master traits and really shines after level 60 when you have your Grandmaster traits. Whereas a Warrior will keep up a pretty steady effectiveness over the levels.
And to think I got bombs on all my characters!
It’s all in vain now, in vain!
Curse you developers, you and your devious machinations!
(Good to know I won’t have the pressure of farming those zones over and over again. More time to spend on Tribulation mode!)
Yes, I understand the battle is doable in it’s current state but it remains my opinion that her second phase is slightly over the top and I find the rifts the easiest barrier to remove.
Stunbreakers or not, if it pulls you just as the chaos fields drop you’re dead. The only reliable way to deal with them is stability or evade. Oh and for the heck of it I spent last night observing and supporting the players trying to get it at the nick of time and I’ve seen it happen a lot.
I think I can have it when I finish those last nine payments with my card.
Eh? Eh?
You know, credit card? Gemstore?
beh…
The Liadri fight itself was good as it was. The only bother in it was the rifts, which bring a frustrating element of randomness along.
Ditch the rifts and she’s a good scripted boss that you will defeat after enough practice.
EDIT:
Though I get your point Zanryu, I still think the rifts are not fair, especially when you have classes which do not have easy access to stability or evade.

I don’t understand why they limited the shards to the temple of Balthazar.
Just make it a karma item in all the temples already and leave the difference to the stats on their karma gear.
Honestly, Warriors work best with other warriors, boosting their might and fury ad infinitum.
That said, generally mesmers are taken along with a group of warriors for the time warp elite, good condition cleansing and lots of projectile reflects.
Elementalists can throw down lots of combo fields.
Necro’s don’t do that much synergy in the way of direct support, but have nice ways of setting up foes for easier kills.
Btw, this is a very crude representation. And finally, the game is so easy solo, you can level along with a wet paper towel and still have an easy time.
….mmm, wet paper towel, I guess that’s elementalist then!
Goodness, here we go again…
I wonder, did all you kiddies throw such a tantrum as well when you realised Santa Claus isn't real?
Spoiler just in case ¬¬
You know, what I perhaps think is worse about the whole Pavilion encounter, is that Jennah and Anise do not warn anyone of their plan. They don’t notify Logan, who would be loyal enough to sacrifice his life for this clone that everyone perceives to be Jennah. And Lord Faren even does so (thus kind of making a mockery of Logan really).
So Jennah almost got two people killed…. AGAIN! Just because… ehh… no good reason given.
As pointed out before, Scarlet should have been clever enough to anticipate that Jennah would pull such a stunt. This blunder directly conflicts with her character. Doesn’t anyone and their mother know that Jennah is a powerful mesmer? Certainly Scarlet would know. And since Scarlet made a public threat towards the Queen and her celebration, shouldn’t she expect a mesmer trick? After all, she kind of provoked a response from Jennah. Everyone knew that Scarlet would disrupt the celebration, so there was no excuse for Scarlet to fall for this simple trick.
Also, since the imminent attack by Scarlet was so obvious, why wasn’t there more security?
It sounds rather vicious when you put it like that, but in the end of the day the life of a Queen is still worth much more than the couple civilians that might suffer for it. If the Queen falls, so does the morale of all her followers, meaning it’s an easy victory.
And I wouldn’t trust Logan with the truth either, it was much more convincing this way.
As for why Scarlet fell for it? I can just write it down to “she’s by far not as smart as people make her out to be, just crafty”.
Say it isn’t so! I have 78 lodestones worth of cores ready to convert…
Evans, it will. Eternity will get footsteps and a glowing orb where you hold it.
So we now know that Eternity, Sunrise and Twilight were ceremonial weapons in Arah. Maybe more legendaries have some lore?
I know Eternity gets update, I was just wondering if they be consistent enough to also update the boss’s Eternity
I’m curious if his Eternity will get the visual update as well actually
Yes Eternity was the weapon of the High Wizard of Arah apparently, which would imply that both Sunrise and Twilight were ceremonial weapons in Arah as well.
Maybe they’ll tie him to Rotscale somehow
Remember that soldier gear can be bought with Karma from the temples.
Well I bought it for that exact reason. If it had been soulbound I wouldn’t have wanted it.
well, Rare is much cheaper than Exotic, but getting Rare items can get still expensive.
If u have hundreds of gold, u may consider lvl80 Rare items cheap.
But if u only have a few gold………….
Come on now. It cost less to have a full set of armor of rare quality than buy the grandmaster trait book. Let’s not exaggerate ok?
Moss, you’re entitled to your opinion. Nobody is forcing you to like this very niche part of the game. However, many people do enjoy it, which was obvious from the immense success of SAB’s first edition, so you can’t claim to be in the majority on this.
In Tribulation Mode, the dead horse beats you!
It’s rather humorous how you invoke the ‘regular GW fan doesn’t want this’ card against the most popular additions so far.
Yes but bloodlust does give you an active icon on your status bar, agony resist does not.
But does it matter? This is high end Fractals you’re talking about, you have no business there without a full ascended set!
Suggestion : Tribulation Mode Legendaries
in Super Adventure Box: Back to School
Posted by: Evans.6347
Gain a weapon of all four worlds and show them to Moto. He’ll hand you the “Great Key of Everlasting Darkness”. Entering Tribulation mode with this key opens a secret door in the hub world. Inside you find 8-bit Liadri, the super boss of the game.
Defeating her gives you 3 rainbow parts which with a weapon will give you the legendary Rainbow Super weapons, which flash in the other 5 colours.
…bleh.
If you have a shield equipped, and you swap to your greatsword, do you still get the bonuses from your shield?
I think it’s fairly obvious that these bonuses will only apply while active.
Praying for Tequatl-like rework.
It’s a simple as adding an abysmally low chance on an ascended weapon in it’s chest, and presto!
And guys please, stop turning this posts in discussions on which stat combinations are best or if celestial deserves more or less stats. The OP only asked about the reroll, there are already a lot more topics on the stat distribution of celestials.
Fine then.
They will not be rerolled.

Oh, and contrary to the pick/sickle/axe, this baby is account bound, which means you can use it on all your characters.
And that’s the hook, line and sinker isn’t it?
For those last 20-10%
That’s the essence of min-maxing isn’t it.
I’m not saying it’ll become a meta. There will be experimenting and if a highly regarded player decides to become it’s billboard the flock will follow.
Leave it to the censor to ruin that pun xD
Armor may or may not come as a legendary armor box. Makes much more sense than crafting each part separately which requires you too many gifts of exploration.
I don’t expect to see many green and yellow Super Weapons in the game
Lions Arch is turned into Neon City but the end of the first week
Yes legendaries are so much easier to make. Hardly complicated at all with them recipes inside of other recipes. Not to mention the vague materials which randomly spawn out specific item combinations, not in the least mentioned anywhere in the game.
I too find legendaries much “less complicated”.
… to Blackwyn, I leave a boot to the head.
Assassin will have it’s use in boosting ridiculous levels of crit chance into the absurd regions.
That’s very nice and technical, but imo irrelevant. Choosing jack of all trades inherently makes you master of none.
What do you expect then? That they make Celestial better than all other choices, boosting it’s attack on par with Berserker and give all the other stats as a bonus? The stat totals are higher, the effectiveness rarely. That’s just the way this combination is supposed to work.
I think you missed my point, celestials isnt a jack of all trades. If you stack celestials the combination of stats you get can be bettered by combining other geartypes. The fact is that celestials isnt the best jack.
Combining other gear types makes you a better jack
Buffing them slightly would make them jack of all trades, 5% is probabaly enough in order to make them that,
Atm no one uses them because you get the best jack and if they do they are poorly informed.
Btw not being able to specialize is a bad thing in this game and that celestials brings a lot of.
I dont know what info you got that makes you so certain that they are supposed to be useless.
Raw stats are higher but the budget isnt. The budget is based on performance, if it werent the gear we have would be totally random. Ofc each stat has an underlying budget based on its performance. If anet dont have one they are incompetent and considering how other gear types in fact has their own niche, besides celestials which dont, i doubt that.
Anet: “No”
The MF was only a small feature of Celestial so they won’t do that.
small feature??
It was the Primary Stat!
This, this is the primary reason to get celestials, when mf is removed there is no reason at all to use them besides poor knowledge, curiosity, having fun or any other subjective feeling.
Based on performance its just stupid to use them.
I know I instigated it with my quoting, but reading all the jacking in your post certainly doesn’t help staying serious about it.
snickers

Unfortunatly my server is kinda empty.
Irrelevant
noone plays in the Cove
Yep, that’s about it. Sorry I can’t be of more help, but the Cove is usually a dead zone everywhere.
